Today's Word 06-09-25: Live to Please God

Mackie in his time right now for today's word, Live
to please God. First Corinthians four three through four of
the Message translation says, it matters very little to me
what you think of me, even less where I rank

in popular opinion. You know, some people loved the apostle Paul,
but others hated him and put him down. Despite all
the opposition, it never stopped him from his purpose and
his destiny. He wrote almost half the books of the
New Testament and impacted the world in amazing ways. We're

still talking about and being blessed by his impact today.
He said the secret to handling the pressure of people's
approval is to not try to please everyone. He was
not a people pleaser. He lived to please an audience
of one, the one who called him to be an apostle.

He was saying, you have to do only what God
puts in your heart, and not let the opinion of
what other people think or even say matter to you.
I remember attending an event and Bishop Larry Trotter was
the speaker. He said God delivered him from the opinion
of people. In a certain set of people in particular.

(01:33):
Let me encourage you today, pursue the goals and the
dreams of God is placed in you. Don't miss your
greatness because you're dependent on people approving you. Live to
please God? Are you sacrificing who you are because you're
addicted to the approval of others. You can't follow what

(01:55):
God puts in your heart. If you're always trying to
play up to what other people think and approve. You
got to break free from that. You don't have to
have their approval. You have Almighty God's approval and that's
more than enough. That's all that you need. Be bold
and be courageous to please him. He's the one who

(02:19):
holds your destiny. Live your life on purpose to please God. Father, God,
thank you that you see the greatness on the inside
of us, and you love us just the way that
you made us. When others don't give us their approval
or affirm us, help us to let it go. God.
We believe that your approval is all that really matters,

(02:40):
and we declare that we have it now in Jesus's name. Hey,
now that's your word for today. I want you to
take that, apply that to your everyday life, and you
