Today's Word 06-10-25: Choose to Live Content

It's your early morning praise party. I am a Sherry
Mackie in his time right now for today's word, choose
to live content. The Word of the Lord says in
Philippians four eleven and twelve, I have learned, in whatever
state I am, to be content. I know how to

(00:21):
be a based and I know how to abound. Think
about the fact that the apostle Paul said, I've.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Learned to be content.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
In other words, he wasn't always content.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
It didn't just happen.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
He had to train his mind to stay at peace.
He had to train his mind to look on the
bright side. He had to train his mind to focus
on the good. Well, we've got to do the same thing.
We have to make a choice to be content to
have joy. Happiness is not going to fall on us.

(00:59):
It's a choice we have to make every day. Being
positive doesn't necessarily come naturally. We have to make the
decision to be content and joyful every single day. If
we don't learn to be grateful for what we have,
we'll start to grow bitter and live unhappy. Maybe you

need to change your focus. You got a tiny problem,
but if you stay focused on.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
It, you keep talking about it.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
You keep nursing it and rehearsing it, It'll become bigger
and bigger and bigger in your mind because you've magnified it.
Don't magnify your problems, magnify your God. Step out of
doubt and step.

In to faith.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Get out of that discouragement and come on over into joy.
Choose to live content. Make a decision that you're going
to live your life happy and filled with joy. Oh
Father God, thank you that no matter what circumstances we're in,
we don't have to live unhappy.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
We don't have to be discontented.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Thank you that you're teaching us to be content with
where we are and what we have. Right now, God,
we're going to rejoice. We're going to be glad because
You've made this day and we're choosing to rejoice.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
And be glad in it. In Jesus' name.
