Today's Word 06-20-25: Focus on the Purpose and the Promise

At your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
and it's time right now. Four Today's word focus on
the purpose and the promise. Luke one thirty and thirty
one says what the Angel said to her. Do not

(00:21):
be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You
will conceive and give birth to a son, and you
are to call him Jesus. You know when Angel, When
the Angel Gabriel told Mary that she was going to
give birth to the Messiah. Y'all, she was an engaged woman,

(00:43):
engaged to a fine young man. This had been the
best time of her life. She was preparing for her wedding.
Then came the amazing news that, out of all the
women in the whole world, she had been chosen by
God to do the miraculous, to care read the savior
of the world and give birth to Jesus Christ. Oh,

(01:06):
but what Gabriel didn't tell her were about the difficulties ahead.
Gabriel didn't tell her that her fiance Joseph, was so
upset thinking she had cheated and gotten pregnant by another man,
that he was about to break off the engagement and
put her away. Privately, Gabriel didn't tell her that there

(01:27):
would be gossip, the slander, heurful talk by neighbors and
even people that she called friends. Gable didn't tell her
there would be a painful ninety mile trip to Bethlehem
on a donkey while she was nine months pregnant, and
then only to have to give birth in a manger.

(01:50):
Mary had to go through so much and handled so
many things in order to deliver the promise and the
savior of the world. See, when God gives you a promise,
when he puts a dream in your heart, you got
to realize, yes, there will be difficulties, and you'll face

(02:12):
some wrong situations. You'll face some things that seem hard
and like, man, this couldn't be God. But you got
to realize the steps of the righteous are ordered by
the Lord and they're all a part of his plan
to bring it to fulfillment. So you keep honoring God,
you keep him first place, and you stay focused on

(02:32):
the purpose, and you'll see the promise come to pass. Father, God,
thank you for your promises that you will bring to
fulfillment to your plans for our lives. Help us to
stand firm even in difficult times when everything seems to
be going wrong. God, we declare that we're going to
keep honoring you and doing what is right, no matter what.

(02:55):
