Speaker 1 (00:01):
W r k OH presents Boston's only nightly sports betting show,
The Gambler with Adam Kaufman. Now from nine till midnight,
your home to talk spreads, prompts, totals and more.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hey Doc, and what's the harm in bringing back a
little info in the future.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Maybe we could.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
Place a couple of downs.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
The Gambler starts now.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
All I have to do is bet on the winner
and I'll never lose.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Hears Adam Kaufman.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Welcome in everyone, Thursday edition at The Gambler with Adam Kaufman.
You're on WRKO. We come your way nine to midnight
Eastern time. This, of course the final show of the
work week. If you miss anything, we always employ you.
Check out the podcast The Gambler with Adam Kaufman wherever
you get your podcasts. Right now, sweating out a whole
bunch of show plays. We'll take a look at those,
(00:51):
see how they're trending if anything has come in yet.
Of course, keeping an eye on the Celtics. I'm sure
a lot of people if you're on fandel invested in
this game. Maybe the next TNT game to TNT Thursday.
So you got the no sweat bet available to you
tell you what. It has been another masterclass out of
Jason Tatum. And we said it on the show last
(01:13):
night that with him sitting in that game and Jaylen
Brown playing, in all likelihood, it was going to be
the reverse tonight. We knew Horford wasn't gonna go, Porzingis
wasn't gonna go, Holiday wasn't gonna go, and so it
just became a question there of will White play. He
has been a little in and out of the lineup
because of the need for some dental work. Looks like
(01:35):
he lost a tooth when he hit the floor earlier today.
And you know, people like Barstool Greeny my bud Dan
Greenberg quick to remind you on Twitter that the last
time that you know, Derek White lost a tooth, Celtics
won championship. Just put that in the back of your heads.
But Jason Tatum thirty points on twenty two shots in
(01:56):
twenty eight minutes, hasn't gone to the free throw line
yet four of ten from three seven rebounds. He's dealing
with the fifty five year old looking Andre Drummond on
the other side, who's flirting with a double double.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
I suspect he really wanted to show those guys up tonight,
didn't he White and Drummond? No, White and Richard?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh yeah yeah. I mean, listen, you can't be the
first Celtics teammates to ever score forty plus a piece
in a game and not have one of the stars
have something to say about it. Come on now, I
mean those first week we do have White and Prichard
and double figures, so it's it's a mildly balanced attack.
But Tatum is front loading.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
Yeah, some of those three pointers he hit in the
first quarter were crazy. He was just like floating and
basically launching. Yeah, it's been a good showing out of
the Celtics. Candidly, just for the sake of, you know,
betting purposes, I would like to see Philly make a
little bit of a run here.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
I mean, I have Boston winning. I'm invested in that.
I have that as part of my no sweat just
money line. Obviously it's part of my bank roll repair.
I don't need them to cover the thirteen fourteen points.
I don't need this to be a world class blowout,
even though honestly it probably will be by the end.
And if I had known and we didn't obviously, But
if I had known last night on the show, Okay,
(03:14):
Jason Tatum is going to play, I assumed it, But
if I had known it, Jason Tatum is going to play.
But more so on the other side, we knew no Embeat.
Obviously he's done for the year. We knew no MAXI.
We wondered about George. If you told me Tatum definitely in,
George definitely out, I absolutely would have laid the points
with Boston as a show play. Nevertheless, Celtics pt by
(03:37):
fourteen late in the third quarter. We got a busy,
busy show tonight coming up here, Dan and Bryan. We
are going to do a lot of college basketball because
again Conference Attorney time, like, there'll be plenty of time
to mix in some more NHL regular season games that
type of thing. I mean, this college hoops is what
the people want to talk about and hear about, obviously,
(03:59):
and there are a lot of late games tonight. There
are a bunch of games starting in twenty twenty five
minutes or later, and so we'll be able to dive
into that. We've got a fun group of people here
on the show as well. We will have let's see
in this opening hour first time or on the show,
(04:19):
by the way, so that's always a treat. Colby Marcio
from Betting News, we'll join us coming up in a bit.
Hang with us for a couple of segments. Maybe we
do a people's parlay, maybe we don't, Maybe we do
State your Case instead, will maybe we just do a
group play. There are some different things to consider. There's
no late late games in the NHL. There's the one
(04:40):
in the NBA Lakers and Knicks, and some narratives in
that one that we could attack if we want to
do that as a show play, or again if people
have their state their cases one for two. By the way,
yesterday on the official State your Case plays, had we
played all three, I think Beasley wound up getting shut out,
(05:01):
so would have gotten you know, should have been three
for three two days ago, should have been two for
three yesterday. Chicken out of our own stuff, I guess,
but Colby will hop on with us. I don't know
if anyone will have any real people's parlay level conviction.
That's okay. If we don't, we don't need to force it. Obviously.
In the next hour, we started off our Baseball division
(05:24):
look aheads here are betting primers with the American League
East with Sean Zarillo of the Action Network. We will
chat with Adam Rosenberg from Outlier and does some work
with Rhythm and among other outlets. He'll tackle the National
League East and he is a completely biased Philadelphia Phillies fan.
He will tell you that, but doesn't bet with his bias.
(05:46):
He just talks with his bias, So we'll get his thoughts.
There more college troops after that, looking ahead to tomorrow
and the weekend justin Perry Shock Quality, and then in
the last hour we will mix in some NBA with
Andrew O'Connor, who is part of Rhythm's new NBA show
with Joe Delera as well. So it should be a
lot of fun.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Yeah, definitely, I mean a lot of It's a very
interesting night in college basketball with some of these smaller schools.
You really got to find those edges and let's try
to do that.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
So absolutely, as far as show plays and where we
stand right now, just to clue everybody in who rode
with us, and we always hope that you do. Obviously,
there are a lot of plays and there are many
that very few are actually in. There is only one
that has been decided, which is Dan's play. North Alabama
(06:37):
minus five and a half, relatively sweat free, went out,
took care of business one by fifteen, so that keeps
the people's parlay alive. Obviously. The other parlay legs Iowa
plus six and a half courtesy of Ryan McIntyre SGPN,
who was on with us last night, and that one
is trending great as well. You've got Iowa head by
(06:58):
ten again. Need them to just keep it within six.
They are leading by ten with most of the second
half still to go in that game. And then my leg,
which is UCI cal Ervine just got started like in
the last few minutes against UC Davis, so need them
minus six and a half. We offered a group play
(07:21):
which was Milwaukee to win by at least six points.
That one is not doing so well, but it's a
long way to go at the moment, down by eight again,
need them to win by at least six. Down by
eight with about fourteen minutes left in the opening half
in that game. Chowdrey's choice Sammy Chowdre's play for US
(07:42):
CJ McCollum over six and a half rebounds plus assists
at the half of the Pelicans, he has three, so
he is trending okay at the moment, and then the
two bankroll repairs for Dan one leg is in. That
is UAB Robert Morris well ahead, but a lot of
half left and still need Grand Canyon. That game tips
(08:03):
off momentarily if it hasn't already, and mine was all
NBA Celtics, Warriors and Magic all to win on the
money line. The only team that is trailing right now
Golden State by four points late in the third quarter.
So that is everything that we are after right now,
pending future editions, and let's be honest, there will probably
(08:24):
be some.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Oh yeah, I would assume. So it's you know, looking
at this slate for tonight, there's nothing at this moment.
I mean, obviously we're gonna have a lot of conversations
here in the next forty five minutes, but there's nothing
right now that I feel super strong about. A couple
of plays I'm looking at, like you see San Diego.
Obviously backing them has been very profitable all season. We've
talked about them, but twenty two and a half is
(08:46):
a big number, gigantic number. Yeah, it feels like, you know,
people are a little mixed on that line as well
right now. So that's that's something I'm maybe interested in.
Maybe a couple, maybe a potential builder or something too,
with like a Illinois, Chicago, Tennessee State, those kind of
teams that are favored by just over a possession. Maybe
we bring those together and just put them on the
(09:07):
money lay line there to take them to take care
of business. But yeah, at the moment, nothing super strong
about on this late slate on this Thursday.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Sure, some thing's definitely worth worth paying attention to. Again,
those late games that we have on the way in
the world of college hoops, just to run them down
real quick. Here, pull it up in front of me.
We have Hawaii, Cal, Bakersfield, Alabama, A and M and
Grambling State, Denver, Saint Thomas, Valparaiso and UI See Lyndon
(09:37):
Wood and Tennessee State, Tarleton State, col Baptist, Cal State, Fullerton,
Cal Poly, and Cees Northridge and Uce Riverside, also Long
Beach State, and you see San Diego's Dan was talking
about with that massive, massive number of twenty two and
a half in that one. So yeah, I mean, we
could certainly throw a few of those together on the
(09:59):
money line if we want wanted to, I will tell
people out there in terms of the splits, majority of
people are on cal State Bakersfield to cover. It's a
short number one and a half, so you know you
could do that versus the money line. As far as
money line plays, and let's see Illinois Chicago getting a
(10:20):
lot of attention there, north of eighty percent of handles
and bets. Fact, more than ninety percent of the bets
short spread there three and a half, about seventy five
percent on the cover in that one Tennessee State three
and a half point favored against linden Wood. That has
roughly eighty percent handle and bets to cover in that contest.
Even more so obviously on the money line, heavy money
(10:43):
line support for Saint Thomas, Minnesota, which is you know,
minus six hundred, so you would only look at that
as a money line parlay situation. Cal Poly a similar
minus twelve hundred if you wanted to throw it in.
That is about ninety eight percent on the splits handle
and bets expecting cal Poly to win. I saw a
lot of people lay in the twelve and a half
(11:05):
thirteen and a half earlier in the day with that game.
That is one I've been thinking about col Baptists right
around minus three point fifty, that is similar, right around
ninety five percent of the splits on cow Baptist to
just win in this game, not necessarily cover the eight
and a half. And obviously, I mean I was looking
at them. You'd have to be a long beach state,
you know, student to think that they're going to win
(11:27):
that game.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I was thinking about something with maybe
with Illinois Chicago and cal Baptist, maybe putting those two
together on the money line and seeing what we get
on for a number there on those two.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Sure we can explore that, all right, why don't we
step aside as, look at this Sixers keeping it interesting
late third Celtics, well maybe not, some late points here
in the quarter just pulled it right back to eighteen.
It's the Ubra show, Like I finally need Quentin Grimes
to do something, and he's two of ten shooting and
Ubra can't miss. It's. Uh, it's a little annoying for
(12:01):
the purposes of my no sweat. Never mind the revenge
narrative that is Lonnie Walker with seventeen points off the
bench against his very brief old team. We'll come back.
Great little hoops break there with Adam Rosenberg getting into
the National League East. I'm enjoying this, Dan Hoastball's coming.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
Yeah, it's coming. Sign that warmer weather's coming.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah. Sign this snow is melting today, it's nice outside.
It was.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
But before we get to baseball, man, we got March Madness.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
We do fun month, not a really fun day, but
a fun month, certainly a few weeks ahead of us
here in selection Sunday as we know is what roughly
ten days away. But as far as the show plays go,
not really on our side. Right now, we're gonna go
two out of three, looking like on the People's parlay
(13:00):
after Iowa hooked us, which sucked. If we had the
seven and a half, we'd be in. We had six
and a half. Your bank roll repair is certainly live
to catch that plus one pointeen. I hope it does.
Uci Who was that other leg that we're looking to
make a jerk of our guest on the Iowa play?
(13:22):
You see I minus six and a half up by
twenty halfway through the second. So that's good right there.
And Dan's North Alabama plays we mentioned earlier is already home,
but the Milwaukee was never really in it force. That
didn't work out and we gave out UIC and CBU.
CBU is expected rolling at the moment against Tarleton, but
(13:47):
UICE is down sixteen. Yeah at halftime. That's Valparaiso, yep,
trying to bring that builder home. We're gonna need a
big second half comeback out of that one. Maybe someone
who can make some sense of it all. I'm sure
he has been heavily invested throughout the busy day today.
The one ranked team in action, but a lot of
conference attorneys and just a ton of games here on
(14:11):
this Thursday, none other than Justin Perry, our friend over
at shot Quality and does work for hoopshq dot com
as well on Twitter at Justin Perry and the number eight. Justin,
How are you?
Speaker 3 (14:24):
I am doing well? Thank you so much for having
me back on the show. Guys. How's your Thursday evening going?
Speaker 2 (14:31):
You know, hits and missus across the college streets? How
is your day gone? Along those lines?
Speaker 3 (14:38):
I mean, aside from Sam Houston allowing UTEB to bank
in a three down five for me to lose two
and a half by the hook I'm doing alright. I'm
doing alright. Had a good winner on my pick of
the day, profitable like I think, third or fourth straight
profitable day over on hoops hqu where I do a
(14:59):
couple three or four a day now as well. So
I love when those published plays do well and the
personal cards looking good too. A little over five hundred
so far, a couple more left to go. Got a
big play on Baker's field, so we'll see how that
finishes up. But I can't complain looking like a fifth
or sixth straight positive week, not by much, but like
(15:21):
ekeing out green weeks in late February early March before
the tournament, to me is a pretty big win because
it is not an easy time whatsoever. It gets I
think a little bit more manageable after like today.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Essentially, listen, we say it all the time over here, man,
Green is green, doesn't matter by how much.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
For reckons not paying to play. You get to enjoy,
have a good time. And again, you know, not everyone
is here to make a million bucks. It's nice to
not lose it all sometimes and just be able to
get up and do it the next day. I love it,
you know, I love what I do so always nice
for turning positive numbers.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Speaking of the next day, Dan, why don't you take
us to the early part of tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
Yeah, justin so, I'm looking at this high Point Gardner
Web game here tomorrow, the line sitting at twelve, twelve
and a half. These two teams played twice already this season.
High Point like murdered Gardner Web. You know both these games,
one win was by forty points, the other one by
twenty three. Can they pick up a thirteen point win tomorrow?
Speaker 3 (16:21):
I think so. I'm not really a Gardner Web fan.
I would say our projection model is a little weird
on this one because I think High Point can be
a little strange, and honestly they can. They have some
volatility to them and will they'll win like like the
haves one four or five games in a row by
a lot, and then you know they'll struggle at home
(16:41):
against you NC Asheville in overtime, or Presbyterian on the
road will almost beat them, or Radford. So it's it's
a little bit. They're playing well right now, so I
do think they can continue to carry that in and
they played Gardner Web in that string they won by
thirteen shot quality expected it to be a twenty three
point win on the road, so I feel pretty good
(17:03):
about that one. I do have a mindset in college
basketball when you do see an opponent in recent times
like how much can really change? And I had to
eat my words a little bit on it today because
I bet on Indiana State on the money line.
Speaker 6 (17:20):
Instead of taking the plus one and a half. And
I'm still a little annoyed with that one. But no,
I think this is the spot where you can trust
high Point. They are one of the best teams in
the conference in terms of almost every offensive category, top
one or two in all of the things we monitor.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Except for transition, but they are first in transition rate.
So even if you're not maybe the most potent in it,
getting to that fast break is important. So yeah, I
do think they blow them out. Make it look pretty
easy here. It's not going to exactly be a tough
matchup whatsoever for high Point, who allows also the worst
shots to opponent in the.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Come How about in the Coastal Atlantic Conference Athletic Conference,
pardon me, we've got Hofstra and North Carolina A and T.
Hofstra is a seven and a half point favorite. Certainly
the betting money has come in on Hobstra early on.
Of course, these things will move overnight and leading up
to the four thirty tip. But on the one hand
(18:21):
you have the revenge game angle. On the other there
are suspensions that the Aggies are dealing with and also
a little bit of time off Hofstra is you know,
I think maybe the talent is a little bit better
than what we've seen so far on the floor in
terms of the results. That being said, this this is
(18:41):
a team that that people you know, who are more
clued in than I am, believe it has the ability
to you know, sneaky, ability to maybe make a run
in attorney. Obviously that type of thing starts now. So
what do you think?
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, I mean, the defense is there, I'll tell you
that much. This is one of the best defenses that
I've seen come out of this conference in a minute.
Speaker 7 (19:05):
You know.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Well, maybe not like the Charleston team. So at least
for Hofstra, their transition defense is pretty strong this year.
They're stopping opponents at the rim at one of the
best rates. I mean, teams I think are shooting right
now forty seven percent against them at the rim. Shock
quality Expecting a little bit better. But that's what happens
when you're really good. It's like, Okay, well they probably
shouldn't be this good, but they might be. They might be.
(19:28):
And like again, shot quality isn't one hundred percent accurate.
It's more accurate than efficiency metrics. And that's the point,
which means it can beep the market, but like it'll
still be wrong on a you know, a solid minority
of things. So I do think in that vein it
could be wrong and Hofstra could really be this good
at defending the rim and in that vein that's going
(19:49):
to really make it difficult for North Carolina A and T.
And that's what we saw in the game that they
played six days ago on the first where it was
an almost what twenty one point win. I just don't
think they're going to be able to compete again. What's
going to change? I maybe because there's something on the line,
but I mean, you know, there was really just a
(20:11):
flash in the pan for North Carolina A and T
there with those wins at home against Tony Brook and Campbell.
They haven't really been able to do much away from home,
except I guess that's one win against a very overrated
Elon team that I'll probably be betting against at some
point in this March, but yeah, I would go against
North Carolina A and T. Here all right, why.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Don't we step aside? Come on back with much more
on tomorrow. It's not quite as big as slate as
we had today, but still some very interesting games in
conference tournament games. Obviously, Justin Perry hanging out with us
from Shot Quality and Hoops HQ. We'll be back doc
College Oops. Looking ahead to the Friday slate, Justin Perry
(20:57):
is here with us from Shot Quality. One ranked team
in action tomorrow that is Memphis thirteen and a half
point favorite against South Florida, and I would expect that
line is even going to move because right now people
are betting it overwhelmingly. So here in the moment and
(21:18):
Justin I I'm not the right person to talk about
this game because I grew up with Penny Hardaway being
my favorite player in the NBA, and I have held
onto that bias ever since. So I will always root
for Memphis. I will always root for him. I'm trying
not to be clouded by the fact that he is
(21:39):
the coach. Thing is they're also just a much better team.
Articles I read projections. I look at you know, this
could be a twenty point win for Memphis. Are you
comfortable covering two touchdowns?
Speaker 3 (21:52):
I'm not. I'm not. I just I struggle. I struggle
with the big lines at this time of the year
when you're not in you know, I don't know, regular
season throws where maybe you know you want to win
every game by the most you can because you care
about securing that. At large, Memphis is you know, they've
(22:15):
been great, They've been ranked for most of the season.
They look really good. They're the clearly the best team
in their conference. And this game, I just feel like,
you know, the end of it, it could very easily
be hanging out at eighteen points four minutes to go,
and you're going to be sit there worried because they
very well could take their foot off the gas and
(22:38):
South Florida continues to press and it just gets back
doors into oblivion and you know, it finishes right there
at what like twelve's That's what we're projecting is twelve.
So I'm a little bit concerned. I think it opened
at fourteen and a half briefly, so it might be
at thirteen and a half now from some of the
data I'm seeing, So I don't really like South Florida though,
(23:00):
I'll tell you that much. So I don't want any
anything to do with this one tomorrow. It's a tough sell.
It's a tough sell. Memphis is definitely one of these
very clear top fifty teams right now. They're ranking is
probably a little bit more indicative of how much dominance
they have over the conference, not necessarily how good they
(23:22):
are in the scope of the nation. But they're definitely
better than South Florida. But I think if you needed
a pick, I would take the point for.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
The spread justin it should be a fun one of
the Big ten tomorrow night, Illinois and Purdue the aligne.
I opened up as a three and a half favorite.
It's now up to four and a half. There is
one four left out there if you want to grab
that at Caesar's right now. Purdue has been struggling on
the road pretty much throughout all of conference play. Here,
what do you expect in this matchup tomorrow night? And
we have a high total at one fifty nine and
(23:53):
a half.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Yeah, I'm I think I will be writing up that
total tomorrow, probably over at Hoopstah two for this one.
If you want to hear a little bit more, why
but I'll tell you I'm going on there. I think
you gotta just you gotta trust for due to slow
it down a little bit on the road Illinois, maybe
(24:15):
locking in defensively. End of the year, coming off of
you know, a game there against Michigan where they won
handedly and outperformed expectations, put up ninety one points. I
don't think we get to that type of level again.
While I believe that is factored in, I think, you
(24:35):
know what, if that Michigan game finishes where we expect
with a total of around one hundred and fifty five,
is this total at.
Speaker 6 (24:42):
One hundred and fifty five one hundred and fifty six
fifty seven probably?
Speaker 3 (24:46):
And that's what off for me. I think you can
might be able to find a one sixty and a
half out there by tomorrow morning. I usually wait for unders,
because you know, especially with some of the way that
games are being played, I tend to think over usually
come in a little bit more. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
I don't necessarily think that too many bets to get
decided by the hook. I watch it meticulously, and I
(25:09):
know for a fact that you know, you don't really
want to be buying points to avoid hooks. It's not
good practice. So the opposite, likeliholds true. You should probably
try to get the better price, and if it means
losing a hook, it's probably worthwhile long term making that
gamble as well. So I'll wait for the morning and
(25:31):
I'll probably strike on the under in a good game
between two teams that, honestly, Illinois hasn't had a win
I think with Purdue on their home floor in like
two or three years. Probably Zach Eatie's fault, but they'll
be looking to get this one done and shut them down.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
I think early afternoon we have Delaware and Stonybrook Coast
Athletic Conference. Delaware is a six six and a half
point favorite. These teams matched up earlier this season. Delaware
won by ten, and that was at home. By the way,
looks like people seem to be not not necessarily the public,
(26:08):
but maybe some of the sharp side is on Stonybrook
to cover in this one simply really because it's not
a better team. It doesn't even have ten wins, but
you know they played a little bit better of late
and maybe carry a little bit of momentum into this game.
How do you see it?
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Well, you could see the face I was making at
this game. You wouldn't bet it is what you would
take from my expression, and I wouldn't. Both these teams,
Tonybrook and Delaware have been featured on my betting cards
for the entire season. And that's not necessarily what you want.
You want to get off of my betting cards because
(26:48):
I bet on teams that are doing worse than they
should be. So that means these teams have been doing
worse and they should be all these and long, and
you're right, Sonybrook pulling together win again, Elon to win
again poster, but both at home and like I said,
Elon one of the most overrated teams in the country.
So I don't really give tony Brook that much credit
(27:08):
for being a team that is a lot worse than
people expect. Yeah, I wouldn't. I wouldn't touch this one.
I would lean towards the under. I would lean towards
the under tony Brook. Their defense is expected to be
a lot better and and it just never really happens,
expected to keep teams away from the rim pretty successfully
(27:29):
and honestly, Delaware might be able to sort of fall
into that trap a little bit. They do tend to
go towards the rim, and they're good at it. But
Tony Brook is the best defense at the rim. INDAA
play per shock quality and forces opponents at the rim,
(27:50):
so they like create a funnel and naturally defend. Well,
you better like shooting against them. So it's gonna be interesting.
I wouldn't should I lean Delaware? I guess if you
wanted a spread pick, I don't think. I think Stony
has a much lower floor and Delaware has a much
higher ceiling.
Speaker 5 (28:09):
Justin we only got about a minute left with you,
but we got a fun one out in the Mountain West.
Tomorrow night, Colorado State heads up to Boise. Both these
teams on pretty big win streaks heading into this one.
The Broncos favored by five and a half at home.
Who you got?
Speaker 3 (28:23):
Ooh you hit the nail on the head to finish
it up. That's my only one full unit play. I
play a lot of I play a happy units because
I you know, I have like twenty bests today, but yeah,
full unit play. Boise, one of my favorite teams here
have been slept on all season. I think This is
like the play of plays are on the bubble. Colorado
State out there, big, absolute dominant win at home. I
(28:47):
think this is Boise Spot to go get it. Try
to make that decision complicated, some decision decision Sunday. Yes,
what they call it slesh and Sunday. This is a
good Boise State team. They have the rim presence to
get this done. I will be on them tomorrow. Would
not be shocked if this is my shock quality pick
of the day.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Don't I have to ask your favorite bet. We just
got it. Justin Perry once again shock quality hoops HQ.
Check him out on Twitter at Justin Perry in the
number eight. Justin always enjoy it. Man will be bugging
you plenty as we get deeper into March.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Please do by line is always open for you. Guys.
Have a good night and good luck on your bet.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Appreciate you, buddy, Same to you. We will come on
back with bank roll repairs for the weekend.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Now back to the Gambler with Adam Kauffman on six
eighty WRKO streaming live on the iHeartRadio app or tell
your smart speaker to play w r KLO on iHeartRadio.
It's time for your bankroll repair powered by today's collision.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
All right, bankroll repairs. I mentioned that mine got screwed
by the Orlando Magic. The two legs came home. Just
didn't need Orlando to collapse there in the final five
minutes of the fourth quarter, but it happened. Dan's here
are I know you're on your ways, you're are you
officially home yet?
Speaker 5 (30:12):
I think there's still like a minute or two in
the Grand Canyon game, but they're up twenty.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
We'll get there, no problem there and all right, so
bankerar repairs for the weekend. Normally, well sometimes we get
something out of Brian here on Thursdays. I know, Brian,
you already gave out the golf play though for API,
so anything to add to that one not yet to
TVD Okay, how's how's the golf play trending at the moment?
Speaker 4 (30:35):
It's a weird day today, a lot of if you're
in the morning, you kind of got screwed because the wind,
all the serious wind was out in the morning. So
mcneely's he's okay, he's kind of in the middle of
the pack. Minually is going to need to do some
work tomorrow to make the cut, but if he gets
a good the win should die down to Mars. So
I think I think he'll score, so I think we'll
be We'll be okay.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
We also gave out, of course, the Scheffler Top ten
McElroy to twenty builder and that right now is in
good shape. So hopefully things you know, continue well there, Dan,
what do you have for tomorrow?
Speaker 5 (31:08):
All right? College basketball guys, three legs again, let's go Drake,
unc Ashville and Kent State. Put those three together. You
got a nice plus one aweight on DraftKings.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Nice. I am certainly looking to cash, but I'm not
being quite as bold as normal here. I'm giving you
a minus number on four legs, no less minus one
eighteen on DraftKings, which makes me a little queasy, to
be honest, but it's what I've got. So we are
(31:38):
doubling down on Memphis. That is Memphis, Penny Hardaway's Memphis
and Memphis the Grizzlies in the NBA, both on the
money line. That Memphis team is at Dallas. I have
no respect for the Mavericks high Point at home, and
also Miami of Ohio at home. So it's mostly home
(32:01):
favorites with college Memphis, Miami of Ohio and High Point
and then road favorite there double digit favorite, the Memphis Grizzlies.
I considered throwing on the heavily favored Cavaliers on the
road just to get you know, closer, even at even money,
but I didn't want to make it five legs. Feel
free to do it if you want to do it.
They're seventeen point favorites. They really should win, but you know,
(32:24):
I don't know tack on more legs. It's more minus
ev and you're just tempting the fates. So a four
legger minus one eighteen. We're gonna try and get this
one home and hopefully see how it goes here. But
beyond that, Josh Hart, we brought him up a little
narrative street play for the Knicks in this one. The Knicks,
(32:44):
by the way, are up by seven in LA. We
invested in heart rebounds plus assists. He has five little
more than midway through the second quarter. We need him
to fifteen, so you know, he's got worlds of time.
But had we played PRA he's got ten points to
go along with it. Interesting game, stay with us. We
are going to have more NBA when we come back.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
That was your bank roll repair.

Kaufman and Dan Watkins.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Been a lot of college basketball talk here on the
show so far tonight, a lot as it should be.
It's March, but you know what, NBA's happening. Playoffs aren't
too far away. Some interesting games, especially with stars and
other notable rotate you know, rotational players and guys of
that ilk getting ruled out by the day. It's I'm betting.
(34:12):
The NBA is a turbulent place right now. Man, it's
more and more by the day. And our next guest knows.
Speaker 5 (34:19):
You know something. I find that I'm having more success
the past couple of weeks on plays that I'm making,
like within a half hour of tip than the once
you have all the injury news, yeah for sure. But
like I'm finding that this that's been much more successful,
and I've really pulled back on like day before night
before NBA plays for that reason. I mean, I think
the last couple of NBA plays that we've had you
(34:41):
know on the show in this hour have been much
more successful than ones that have you know, twenty four
hours in advance.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Without a doubt, I bet almost nothing the night before
in the NBA. You really haven't show play obviously, I
you know, will tell people and I give it out
and and yeah, I will bet it that will be
a show play. But if it's basically it's like the
only NBA play I will make the night before, you
can't right now. You have to wait for clarity. And
(35:10):
when I say clarity, I don't even mean like the
morning shoot around. I mean it's as you said, Yeah,
you could debate whether you really need to wait until
like thirty forty minutes before a game. Obviously you do
sometimes see those late scratches of notable players, but usually
three four Eastern you've got all the news, the important
news as far as you know, at the very least,
(35:32):
who's been ruled out or who's trending in that type
of thing. But yeah, I mean it's the wild wild West.
You try and bet that stuff the night before. Nevertheless,
we're gonna try and tell you here as we'll look
at what we've got across these injury reports for tomorrow.
There are a lot of teams that look like they're
just getting ready to punt on tomorrow's games. But Andrew
(35:55):
O'Connor Watts joins us, who we always enjoy having on.
He is on Twitter as well as the action app
at NBA Watts, where he posts his plays. He uh,
for anyone that hasn't checked it out, I encourage that
you do. So hosts a weekly show that is sponsored
by Rhythm called Coast to Coast every Thursday, does it
with his palin ours Joe Delera as well. Aow, how
(36:18):
are you, buddy?
Speaker 3 (36:20):
I'm good out of doing well?
Speaker 8 (36:23):
Dan?
Speaker 5 (36:23):
I like how you.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
I like how we just introd.
Speaker 8 (36:26):
Hey, guys, don't bet the night before. Here's here's Andrew
Watts for some place the night before.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Here we go.
Speaker 5 (36:33):
Well, hopefully you can fix that. You're here to fix that.
Adam and I can't do it by.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Ourselves, No, I mean we try sometimes it blows up
in our faces. Listen, I'm gonna I'm gonna rattle off
a whole bunch of injuries and then we can get
into these games that we have on the heels of.
Obviously a nice Celtics win tonight, I just want to
remind people for anyone that did miss that. While both
teams woefully shorthanded, but to go through this in no
particular order, Malik Monk is out not playing for the
(37:01):
Kings due to the toe injury. Bradley Beal due to
being washed, is questionable for tomorrow's game for Phoenix. Isaiah Hartenstein.
How about this for OKC, So because of his nose,
he is out. You have Sga is not playing. Jalen
(37:22):
Williams is not playing. Holme Grin is questionable. Even still,
Oklahoma City is a two point favorite at home against
the Blazers. We will get to that one. PJ. Washington
for the tanking, Mavericks ankle, he is out. Aaron Gordon
questionable for Denver with his ankle injury. Lou Dort another one,
(37:42):
by the way, who is out for OKC scrolling through
Yo Kich questionable for Friday ankle. Jeremy Grant Blazers the
other side of that thunder game questionable due to his knee.
Denny questionable quad also in that game. For Utah George
with his illness. He is questionable, but John Collins back out,
(38:06):
Clarkson foot out, Sexton injury management available, not on the
injury report, Markenen out due to his back injury. When
does he ever play anymore? Your kisch or pardon me Nurkic.
Use of Nurkic with his back is probable for tomorrow.
For Charlotte, Nick Smith Junior is probable with his quad.
(38:27):
Josh Green probable due to his illness. Mark Williams injury
management has been ruled out. LaMelo Ball illness probable, so
expect to see him for the Raptors. RJ. Barrett not
playing rest game. We also have Jaka Pertle rest. He
has been ruled out as well. Rudy Gobert for the
(38:47):
Timberwolves injury maintenance questionable for this game. Miami Hakez is questionable.
You have where who is out he's been missing games,
Andrew Wiggins questionable after missing a game, and Tyler Hero
questionable illness after missing time as well. So that's your
(39:07):
primer as far as the injury reports and what it
looks like right now. But where I want to start
is that thunder game, as we know, best place in
the NBA or best team in the NBA again two
point favorite, but almost nobody available of note, I don't
even know without SGA and Williams, who's going to take
over the scoring load. Maybe Home Grin maybe whereas the Blazers, who, yeah,
(39:31):
they're coming off that loss to the Celtics, but they're
still they're frisky, they're a plucky team. People are looking
at the over because it's a low total to twenty
six and a half that's taken in about eighty or
so percent. About the handle and the bets right now, Andrew,
but Blazer's money line at plus money feels like the
play here.
Speaker 3 (39:53):
Yeah, I could definitely see that.
Speaker 8 (39:55):
I don't hate it. I mean, with all these guys
out there, certainly in the mix here, I do think though,
there is some value on one particular player who seems
to get a lot of that scoring workload when SGA
is off the court, and that's Aaron Wiggins, one of them,
not not Andrew Wings, but Aaron Wiggins. He's someone that
(40:18):
can just kind of go off for like, you know,
twenty twenty five thirty depending on the night. Uh, And
I think this is kind of a perfect opportunity for
him to get going here. We don't have any lines yet,
but that is who I'd be looking for in terms
of like a player prop uh point over or something.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
I mean, Chet also.
Speaker 8 (40:36):
Not a bad idea, but I believe, if I'm not mistaken,
I believe Chet is also questionable. He's not officially is
he officially in Okay? So he might not play either, right, Yeah, Yeah,
I don't mind Wiggins, I like honestly, Yeah, the Blazer's
money line. They're they're gunning for it. Man, They're there.
They they could have tanked and they said no saying
(41:00):
thank you there. They just decided to rattle off uh
several wins in a row. I mean they since have
lost obviously, but you know, I think they had what
what was their streak there for a minute. They had
like I want to say, seven or eight in a
row last month, So uh, you know, you know they're
going to go for it. You know, they're not just
gonna tank like the Jazz or some of these other
(41:22):
teams or sorry, They're not going to rely on player development.
That's the that's the term they're using now.
Speaker 5 (41:27):
But what we're doing now, that's that's yeah.
Speaker 8 (41:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the player development. We talked about that
today on the Coast to Coast. They're developing their players.
But uh yeah, no, I think I think the Blazers
are they're they're they're in the hunt. I mean, you
could question whether or not they should be going for it,
but they are so uh yeah. Don't hate the Blazers here,
and I love eyeing Aaron Wiggins props when those pop up.
Speaker 5 (41:53):
So Andrew, the stupid Phoenix Suns are in Denver tomorrow night.
This line opened up with the Nuggets favored by nine,
and it's moved down to seven seven and a half here.
I'm guessing that's because Jokic and Gordon are both questionable
at the moment. Phoenix, it looks like they have a
clean bull of bill of health, with the exception of
Bradley Beale, who's always a game time decision. What do
you make of this matchup between these two l.
Speaker 8 (42:14):
West Yeah, I like, I mean, I just cannot bet
on the Suns right now. I mean, if if it's
one of those games where you like the Suns. Just
stay away, just enjoy it, just know you were right,
just feel smart. You don't have to put your hard
earned dollars on them. But yeah, even with even vibes aside,
(42:36):
which are horrendous right now, I still lean to the
Nuggets just as a matchup. They the Suns really struggle
with high paced teams, and the Nuggets are one of
the fastest paced teams in the league against teams above
one hundred pace. If you faded the Suns in all
(42:57):
of those games, you would be twenty eight and eighteen
against the spread for sixteen ROI. That said, if you
faded the team, faded that Suns team in pretty much
every game, you'd have a positive ROI. But even more
so with these paced up teams like the Nuggets. So
I love the Nuggets laying points here. Obviously we need
(43:18):
the big fella in there, but you know, assuming he plays,
which obviously we know you can't assume that, then then
the Nuggets are a great look. I think even without
him there, they're still going to play with that pace.
I think you could just risk it and lay the
seven now, but that's kind of more up to you.
I might do that, honestly, because I do think Jokic
(43:39):
plays here.
Speaker 2 (43:41):
Yeah, that's what I was going to ask you. I mean,
is there any temptation just wait and get the confirmation,
get that he is available and Gordon Porter, all these guys,
and then sure lay the number. Because I'm with you,
I think they win this thing by double figures, but
I'm not as inclined to want to back them by
seven if Jokic gets ruled out. So I don't know,
(44:03):
is there, like I said, that temptation to sit back
and wait it out, knowing the number could move against you,
you know, could go to seven and a half eight,
but at the same time, at least you know what
you're dealing with.
Speaker 8 (44:15):
Yeah, that's probably the move at this point. I mean,
even if assuming that that Jokic plays and Bradley Deal play,
I make this around twelve and a half. One of
my projections has it closer to eleven. So either way,
we're getting some clearance here. And I don't think I
think this number is kind of like a halfway line
(44:37):
where it's like, all right, you know we Jokic questionable,
Deal questionable, let's give it seven and a half. I
think it probably lands closer to double digits and they're
still like you said, I still think that this is
a double digit win for Denver. So yeah, ultimately, I
do think waiting is the move. You don't want to
be holding a minus seven and it moves to like
(44:57):
a pick them without Jokic.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
All right, why don't we break here? Will come on
back more games to talk about the people's parlay to
build out as well with Andrew O'Connor Watts here from
Coast to Coast on Rhythm. We've got Andrew O'Connor Watts
here with us talking Drew Tomorrow's relatively light schedule across
(45:21):
the NBA, and man, I've already given out the Memphis
Grizzlies as part of my bank roll repair just to
win in Dallas, which as a double digit favorite against
that team. I don't feel like I'm asking that much.
I really don't. All that being said, Andrew, I'm thinking
(45:46):
about doubling down, I really am. I'm looking at this
team nine and a half, ten, ten and a half
point favorite, depending on where you look. The Grizzlies, as
we know, there's no Jaron Jackson junior. He's weak to
week with that left ankle sprain. But otherwise pretty healthy.
The Mavericks are a CBS receipt when it comes to
their injuries. There I mentioned PJ. Washington is out, adding
(46:08):
to Gafford and Lively and Hardy and obviously most notably
Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. I mean, it's it's gonna
be a Giliu Groster out there. I don't know how
this team competes even at home.
Speaker 8 (46:25):
Yeah, I mean I I make this like minus twenty one,
you know, so I definitely think that there's value in
with the minus ten even obviously with that number, and
you know, naturally the money line has value as well.
But the one thing I will say, and I and again,
(46:47):
I don't think you I'm not going to dissuade you
from doubling down because this team is just again talking
about bad vibes with all the Nico Harrison stuff, and
you know, post Luca trade has just been about gone
about as bad as it could poss go. The one
weird thing is when whenever there's like that news of
Kyrie's first game out right after being injured, these teams
(47:10):
always seem to kind of give it a little bit
more than you expect them to. That said, we are
looking at pretty much a D League roster, so yeah,
I don't think it's going to be an issue. And
we do have the Grizzlies coming off that loss to
the Hawks which was just kind of a just kind
of a bad, bad look kind of out of nowhere.
(47:33):
They got upset by the Hawks, a close game at
the end there. So I do think this is a
good bounce back for Grizzlies. They should come away with
an easy win. But I don't. Also, I don't hate
like a stab at like a minus nineteen and a
half for a better payout as well as like a
little maybe a little uh, just a little sprinkle.
Speaker 5 (47:57):
So we got the Spurs taking on the Kings tomorrow night, guys, Sacramento.
Andrew has moved from a two and a half point
favorite at opening to I think up to five and
a half now across the board. We also have a
deer in Fox return revenge game in Sacramento tomorrow night.
How are you looking to play this when it totals
kind of high here too at two thirty six.
Speaker 8 (48:18):
Yeah, I mean too high paced teams, but it does
it does feel high, you know, without some bonus. I
just don't totally agree with this line movement, to be honest,
I mean no, no, Malik Monk. You know that leaves
more offensive pressure on DeMar DeRozan and Zach Levine, which
(48:40):
is a combination that we know is not the most luid,
most easy going combination.
Speaker 3 (48:45):
We've seen plenty.
Speaker 8 (48:46):
We've got plenty of sample size there. They were both
in Chicago for you know, a couple of years. I
definitely lean to the Spurs, although, like you said that,
this line has kind of been going to the Kings here,
so I might wait and see if it keeps going
that way and then take some plus money on Spurs.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
Lines out for the Clippers and Knicks with the hometown Clippers,
who are coming off a disappointing win. I phrase it
that way because we were as a show invested in
the Pistons a disappointing win, you know. And really I
don't have much respect for the Clippers. I just don't
think of much of them as a team. Never I'm
(49:28):
not even talking about the organization. I just mean this group,
this roster. They every time they go out and actually
do something well like they did against the Pistons, I
am genuinely surprised by it. I am surprised that we
are looking at them as a three to three and
a half point favorite tomorrow against this Knicks team that
is playing right now and up at halftime against the Lakers.
(49:49):
The only reason that I think it would make sense
to invest in LA right now is because with this
back to back for the Knicks, I think multiple guys
for New York are probably going to get ruled out
of this game tomorrow, especially with the way they're trying
to manage that roster, and that line is going to move.
Doesn't mean the Knicks are going to you know, stay
(50:10):
within the number or or what have you like. There's
no guarantee you're going to hit the bet. I just
happen to think Andrew that at the very least the
closing line value will be on your side by investing
in the Clippers.
Speaker 8 (50:21):
Now, No, I think that's spot Honestly, we saw Mitchell
Robinson play. He's he's been you know, getting limited minutes,
and yeah, I would be shocked if he played tomorrow
as well. I mean casin in and out. That's more
personal reasons, so I don't think there's an issue there.
But ogn and Obi was on the injury report. He's
(50:43):
also playing. I think we see at least Mitchell Robinson
sit but probably precious to tow it back in. So yeah,
I think I think that spot on from a CLV perspective.
If you're going to bet Clippers, bet them now. If
you want to bet Nicks, bet them, you know, closer
to tip off.
Speaker 5 (51:04):
Do we do Minnesota in Miami yet? Guys?
Speaker 2 (51:07):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (51:08):
So the Timberwolves a one three in a row, Andrew
they opened up as a three and a half point
favorite on the road. It's up to four and a
half now here. Who do you like in this matchup?
Speaker 8 (51:20):
You know, I think I think I like the idea
of continuing that momentum with the Timberwolves. I don't have
much of an edge in terms of the you know,
in terms of a side I honestly, my projections do
kind of lean towards Miami, but not enough of an
edge to go there. And and my you know, my
gut says Timberwolves ud be just based on how they're playing.
(51:46):
So yeah, I mean, I think if you like, I
don't have much of a read on this, but yeah,
I definitely do lean to the Timberwolves, to be honest.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
I'll talk out of both sides of my mouth here
for a second. With this Cavaliers and Hornets game, there
is no reason for Cleveland. Even though it looks like
I mean all those names I rattled off earlier, I
didn't mention one cap every barring some change. Everybody is
healthy and available for this game for Cleveland. That said,
(52:17):
I know there's no Mark Williams, but LaMelo Balls expected
to play some of the other guys for Charlotte that
I mentioned before. This Hornets team is not good. It's
a bad team. I'm not sure it's so bad that
it can't stay within seventeen points, especially when Cleveland is
really it's doing the Celtics thing. It's letting teams hang around,
(52:38):
hang around, hang around, and then kind of wakes up
late and maybe finishes off a cover for you. But
I don't know if that if it goes down that
way with them as a road favorite, if you were
telling me like Cleveland, and obviously the number would be
even larger if Cleveland was home. But Cleveland's seventeen point
favorite at home, Hornets dealing with some injuries, sure, I
(52:59):
might be tempted to lay it with Cleveland on the road.
It feels like the Hornets at plus seventeen of the
right play.
Speaker 8 (53:07):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, I agree. It's it's the Hornets
are I mean, they've been feistier. I feel like at
other points in the year, you know, they're kind of
at this weird space where you know they'll they'll hang around,
but then they'll also just get completely nuked. I think
that I definitely don't want to lay. I don't want
(53:30):
to lay the points with Cleveland, I'll tell you that much.
And and like I said, I project these I project
this actually closer to like plus twelve, so kind of
some runway there in terms of a side. So yeah,
I could be I could definitely be talked into some
some plus seventeen with the Hornets. I mean we already
(53:52):
saw it creep up from fifteen and a half to seventeen.
I mean, do we think I don't think it gets
much higher than that. I mean, this is already pretty
massive number. I don't hate plus seventeen, to be honest, Adham,
I do like that.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
I think we hit every game right. We don't have
any left. I think late tomorrow, I'm just looking at it. Yeah,
I don't see anything that. I yeah, I don't think
we've chatted about it here, all right, So let's get
to the people's parlay. I'm sort of hemming and highing
for a couple of reasons, and I'll explain those. But
let's get to the people's parlay. And of course, for
(54:28):
anyone new the way this works, Andrew certainly knows how
this works. Is we will get his favorite play, Dan's mind,
build out a parlay. See if we can remember what
it feels like to hit one of these. How wonderful
would that be. Andrew is both one and two on
his official plays and on the parlay, So let's try
and even that up on both counts here, Andrew, what
do you have for us?
Speaker 6 (54:50):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (54:51):
Just an absolutely gross play here. I'm going to take
the Raptors laying five at home. No Perdal, no RJ.
But you know, the UTAH is just openly tanking as
we know. Or sorry, they're developing players. That's yeah, sure,
they're developing player. Uh yeah, So they were doing this
(55:12):
thing earlier in the season where they would sit guys,
they sit they're good guys versus bad teams, and play
them versus good teams. Right, So basically guaranteeing a loss
no matter what. But still, you know, technically playing like
marketing In and Collins. Now they're just not playing them ever,
So you know, I just think that Toronto has been
(55:36):
a much better team. They they for a for a
period they were the best. I actually don't know where
they're at right now, just off the top of my head,
but for a period they were the best cover team
in the league. Now, obviously they were mostly dogs in
those scenarios, but they're actually trying to win these games
despite uh, you know, the state of things. I know
Pearl's not playing, and I know our J's not playing,
(55:57):
but I don't, you know, I don't take that as
like a like a tanking thing. I think that's just
you know, managing their guys. I mean, I think if
they were really gunning for it for you know, Whorah,
you know, gunning for it, they would maybe one of
those guys would play. But you know, Emmanuel Quickly Scottie
Barnes are far and away better than anyone on this
(56:20):
Utah roster. Is I mean, Philipowski's playing, okay, but I
mean he's not anywhere near Emmanuel Quickly or Scottie Barnes.
I think that, uh, you know, a short favorite in
minus five is pretty good for Toronto. Minus six. I'm
not interested in as much, but minus five is good.
And I mean, if if we wanted to just go
(56:41):
money line, Utah is absolutely not winning this game. I
can tell you that much.
Speaker 5 (56:48):
All right, Dan, all right, guys, heading to College Summit
League tomorrow, Tournament three, verse six. I think this is
and so you got to be careful here because South
Dakota State plays North Dakota. North Dakota State plays South Dakota.
We're we're we're going.
Speaker 2 (57:05):
Huge jerk where everybody out there is going to bet
this the wrong way.
Speaker 5 (57:09):
So this is what we're doing. We're doing the South
Dakota State jack Rabbits. You see the logo next to
their name, little jack Rabbit Bunny. That is who we
are taking. We are laying at the Bunny. Yes, we
are laying the eight and a half points with the
jack Rabbits tomorrow night. They've been pretty good as a
favorite this year. The model says this number should be
closer to ten. North Dakota actually beat South Dakota State
(57:30):
when they last played. That game was in North Dakota,
so we got a little bit of a revenge angle
here too, And when North Dakota does lose, guys, they
tend to lose by double digits and just get kind
of wiped off the floor. So let's go with South
Dakota State the jack Rabbits minus eight and a half.
I think Caesar's is, juice wise, the best where you
can find this right now.
Speaker 2 (57:49):
Okay, I'm gonna be the one that lifts this parlay
up a little bit odds wise. I really was the
reason for the hemming and highing. I really was, especially
with the conference bias coming from Andrew considering doubling down
on the Grizzlies. I don't I don't see a universe
in which Memphis loses that game, and I truly do believe,
(58:12):
even being on the road, the Grizzlies win that thing
by fifteen to twenty points. As Andrew was talking about
with maybe an alternate on the spread for the better payout.
That said, in the chance disaster where to strike and
I actually lose, I'm not gonna eat up three units
on that stupid game for our show and just be
(58:34):
pissed about it all weekend. So I'm not gonna double
down on the Grizzlies, even though I kind of want to.
What I'm going to do is give you another play
that I really like, and it's a plus money play,
and that is the Blazers on the money line. I'm
going to forgo the points and I'm gonna take the
money line at OKAC. I realize I agree with everything
that Andrew said about Aaron Wiggins, and when we see
(58:55):
those props, I would consider laddering him up. Take him.
I don't know what the number is gonna be. He's
probably what seventeen and a half, eighteen and a half
I had to guess, maybe nineteen and a half. Either way,
I'd ladder him up twenty five thirty. I think Wiggins,
you know, potentially has a really solid games as the
(59:16):
default scoring option. But this feels like a punt game
for OKAC with all those guys ruled out, and the
Blazers are just frisky enough to pull this off. It
is plus one fourteen on FanDuel the Blazers money line.
So put that together with again the what South Dakota
State minus eight and a half the jack Rabbits, as
(59:37):
well as of course what Andrew gave us there the
minus five play on Toronto and those three together, Brian
has shopped at a round plus six forty nine on FanDuel.
Speaker 5 (59:50):
Fellas Sweet Healthy, Let's do it all right, it is healthy.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
Let's bring this one home. We need it, absolutely need it.
Speaker 8 (59:59):
Good stuff on the parlay we were, We're up on
the Yeah, the.
Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
No, that's that's that's a profitable endeavor. Man, Let's get
us there. Andrew O'Connor Watts on Twitter at NBA Watts.
That's where he posts his games, all his bets as
well on the Action App. But that same handle hosts
the Coast to Coast Show brought to you by Rhythm
with Joe Dealera every Thursday. Make sure you check it out.
And a frequent contributor gear to this program as well. Andrew.
(01:00:29):
Always enjoy it.
Speaker 8 (01:00:30):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
We'll talk again soon.
Speaker 8 (01:00:32):
Thanks a lot of guys.
Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
Gonna be honest, all right, everything is on the Action App.
I'm gonna place this bet as well, so I don't
forget do that. During the break, we'll come on back
with more. Thanks to all of our guests. We of
course had Colby Marcio on earlier, Adam Rosenberg, Justin Perry
(01:00:59):
and most Le Andrew O'Connor Watts all our plays on
the action app for tomorrow as they exist at the moment.
Certainly there are others that could come during the day.
Who knows, maybe it would be something else by the
end of this show. Anything as possible, But and we
do need some help from Josh Hart. We played his
(01:01:20):
old we need fifteen rebounds and assists combined. Midway through
the third he's sitting at nine ten.
Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
Nine, so eight boards. You might have actually just hit
just as rebound prop. Not sure what that was, but it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
Was probably around eight and a half nine and a half, yeah,
if I had to guess, but yeah, not and the
points of what was the pra was it twenty eight
and a half?
Speaker 5 (01:01:43):
I got twenty eight and a half. I saw I
got off as high as twenty nine and a half,
So yeah, still need a little work there as well.
Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
Yeah, so he's SE's in the vicinity. Celtics of course
had a really you know, it was a nice win,
I mean not a great win, and that you were
playing a great team and playing one of the worst
teams in the league in Philadelphia, given the lack of
talent on that squad. But Celtics were down quite a
few guys themselves, given they started, you know, Cada and
(01:02:13):
saw Hornett. Didn't Peterson start in this game too, Drew Peterson,
I think so, So again, weird game. You know, you
had Tatum, you had White, you had Pritchard, and then
you had just a like Baylor shireman played thirty minutes.
So let's not let's not say it was truly the Celtics.
But some notes from Sean Grand who calls the games
(01:02:34):
on the radio, some fun ones. He's always good for.
Some stats. Peyton Pritchard back to back games, sixty two points.
This is total numbers, obviously, sixty two points, fourteen rebounds,
eleven assists, fourteen made threes. Celtics won both games, zero turnovers.
So he is absolutely running away now with the sixth
(01:02:57):
man of the year, which remember couple of years ago
six man of the year was Malcolm Brogden. How quickly
we forget oh, I forgot all about him, you see,
and then last year, you know, they had various accolades.
This year it's it's going to be Pritchard winning six
Man of the year. So and he is also this
(01:03:19):
is another from Grandy, most threes And I realized this
is in large part acknowledging the stylistic nature of the
league at this point in time. But nevertheless, you know,
it doesn't take away from the accomplishment. Most three pointers
made off the bench in a season in NBA history.
(01:03:41):
The record is Wayne Ellington from Miami with two hundred
and eighteen in twenty eighteen, followed closely a year later
two hundred and seventeen by Terrence Ross of Orlando Peyton Pritchard.
This year, you want to guess how many made three
he has with nineteen games to go.
Speaker 5 (01:04:04):
He's got to be close to two hundred, if not
already over it.
Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
Two hundred and seven. Yeah, he is going to shatter
that record, assuming he stays healthy.
Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
Yeah, he could do that like within the next week
the way he's going.
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
Sure. Absolutely. Again, he's made fourteen threes over the last
two games. So yeah, And look the Celtics in general,
just to peek ahead at their schedules. You'll notice I'm
talking about the Celtics and not the Bruins because this
is the fun team to talk about.
Speaker 5 (01:04:34):
Well, I mean, the Bruins are fun to talk about
tonight until like three o'clock tomorrow afternoon. They're fun to
talk about and then.
Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
Sure, sure, but quickly on Celts. This is three straight wins,
a healthy homestand they've got here Denver, Portland, Philadelphia that
they have already completed seven games on the way three more. Yeah,
you've got.
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
I left off Cleveland, so you're right, four down, three
to go. The Lakers are next on Saturday night, Prime
time ABC eight thirty tip, which means like I don't know,
eight forty or whatever it is, Utah and Oklahoma City
to finish it out, and I could promise you that, okay,
see game will not have guys resting. So two really
(01:05:17):
legitimate tests, one bigger than the other, but you know,
good litmus test games. Not that anyone is questioning who
the Celtics are and what they're capable of and whether
they're deserving you know, betting favorites and all that for
the national you know, for the championship, and obviously they
are the defending champs, but you know, it's it's a
good test for the Lakers in the sense of, you know,
(01:05:39):
do they really belong in the conversation as so many
you know are advocating that they do since acquiring Luca,
and how they're playing of Lady. Even though right now
they're down by about ten points to the Knicks at home,
No less, Jazz will be a walkover. And then the
thunder is you know, that's your potential NBA Finals preview,
much like we talked about with the Nuggets last weekend
(01:06:00):
when the Celtics went out one by seven. You know,
so this is a and then you got a big,
big slate of road games coming up after the seven
game homestand it's you know, two on the road home
for one and then on the road for what six,
So it's most of March is going to be on
the road here for Boston. So it'd be nice to
you know, pick up a few more wins here on
(01:06:21):
this Homestand but is there anything I know we don't
know if lines yet obviously, but anything looking ahead to
these three games that you feel like you'll be on
the lookout for.
Speaker 5 (01:06:32):
Uh, probably just the Celts to cover. I would think
if it's like a if we get like a four
and a half against the Lakers Saturday night, I mean
the Celtics. The last time these two teams met, the
Celts right in the middle of their their funk there
in the month of January, early February. I can't remember
exactly when it was, but it was also the night
after they went to double overtime with the Clippers or
(01:06:54):
whatever that was too, So you're gonna get arrested. Celtics
Team LA flying to the East Coast. The Celtics gonna
be ready to go. I'm sure they'll sleep walk through
the Utah game. And yeah, the okay see one will
be fun too, butn't it. No, nothing's nothing specific because
like we were talking about, I can't tell you until
about an hour before tip.
Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
Off, right, Bruins. Meanwhile, three two losers tonight after yet
another final minute of the period goal and this one
cost them the game. Did you see this one? I
didn't see it. Waka fourteen seconds left something like that.
Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
So Zadorov's trying to clear the puck. As he goes
to clear it, his stick breaks in half and shoots
right onto the Carolina stick goal.
Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
They're just in, they're inventing ways to lose at this
point in time. All the while they they made a trade. Yep,
they justin Brazo to the wild, brought in uh Lauco
and Maret. Who's Ndov? Who's Who's the Diana.
Speaker 5 (01:07:55):
I sent you the awesome pronouncer there. He's a top prospect,
former second round pick for Minnesota. And then they the
Bruins also got their own sixth round pick back from
Minnesota as well.
Speaker 3 (01:08:06):
Well.
Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
Listen, maybe uh other teams can draft well in the
top couple of rounds and you know they'll they'll fit
in for Lauco. Obviously it's a return to Boston, but
this is trade deadlines tomorrow afternoon. Question is to what
degree are they going to sell? And I will say
what I've already said, Marshawn's not going anywhere. Do you
(01:08:27):
expect there to be anything notable coming out of the
trade deadline tomorrow?
Speaker 5 (01:08:32):
Yeah. I think they're going to make a couple more moves,
and the way things are sounding right now, it wouldn't
I would not be surprised if Brad Marsham gets traded tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
Interesting.
Speaker 5 (01:08:44):
I know we got a break. That's why I'm not
going to go further in that. But the reports in
the national people are like the Bruins are actually really
shopping him tonight. So we'll see.
Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
All right, Well, we can build on that when we
come back. But I know there's the whole, Like, you know,
there are the rumblings, not rumblings, but that little rumor
of of you know, like McKinnon wants Crosby and Marshon
in Colorado and reunite the four Nations line and all
that that's not gonna happen. I can't even fathom. But
h yeah, imagine Marshaan going off to the avalanche pulling
(01:09:13):
a bork. Go get one more ring on the way
out the door. We'll return. Brian fluttered a fun question,
who's the one guy you'd wanted the past roster by
the time we hit the air on Monday night, Since,
of course, the legal tampering period begins on Monday and
the new league year starts on Wednesday, deals will start
(01:09:35):
to trickle out. What do you think is there? Y? Okay,
I just want a guy i've heard of, honestly, like
not but but not still of him. Yeah, not a guy.
Not a guy i've heard of who's been in the
league for twelve years. Get like a legitimate talent that
(01:09:55):
can come in and impact a game in a positive way.
I don't need to be overly specific with this, dude.
That dude, I know, my guy, Christian Kirk is off
the table. He's been traded, you know, just just when
we thought he'd be fails shipped out. I know, but man,
just like bring in actual talent.
Speaker 5 (01:10:15):
Stanley on Godwin too. Those are the top two.
Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
I just feel like, I mean, look, I'd love Godwin also,
But I really think this ends with the one year
prove a deal back in Tampa to Cash and elsewhere
after he shows that he's healthy. Our thanks to Marcio,
to Rosenberg, to Perry and to Watts again. If you
