Now wr KO presidents Boston's only nightlysports betting show, The Gambler with Adam
Kaufman covering spreads, props, parlaysand more. The Gambler starts now Here's
Adam Kaufman. Week two of TheGambler with Adam Kaufman on WRKO and across
(00:24):
the world. Because you can listenon the internet and isn't a beautiful thing,
we want you to be part ofthe show. Please, really,
we want to hear from you. Some shows say that they don't really mean
it. We do. We'll actuallytake your calls. Six one seven two
six six six eight, six eighth. That is six one seven two six
six six eight six eight. Anybodyhave some big wins coming off of this
(00:46):
Miami Heat, second straight win totake a three one series lead on the
Knicks. Maybe a bad beat.I was just moments ago getting some very
frustrated texts from friends who took JimmyButler's over twenty eight and a half points
he finished with twenty seven. Lookstuff like this it can cost you a
lot of money. I mean asof right now, and this is not
(01:07):
one of my bigger bets of thenight, but I had enough invested in
it to be kind of pissed offabout the way things are unfolding early,
and that is Giants pitcher Anthony Discalfani. Everybody. It was just a really
popular play today to go with hisoverprop. In terms of his strikeouts,
I think it was six and ahalf anyway, five runs allowed to the
(01:29):
Nationals in the top of the firstinning. He is fortunately, despite seven
hits aloud in that inning, hehas remained in the game. They're in
the second now. He's got theone strikeout, but he is still pitching,
so that's good. He didn't getchase, they didn't go to the
bullpend right away. But that isone of the things I will be tracking
tonight, along with of course manymany bets, be it straight bets,
(01:49):
obviously some parlays. You know,I love the parlays. We'll be keeping
an eye on that going on inthe Lakers game against the Warriors tonight.
This is a series that not unlikethe heat taking what is not insurmountable,
but kind of a commanding lead,a commanding feeling lead against the New York
Knicks three one in that series, setting themselves up very well to reach the
(02:10):
Eastern Conference Finals. Where hopefully andwho would have wished for this, but
hopefully a date with the Boston Celtics, given that that series is now two
two. We'll talk about that ina second. And of course, these
Lakers looking to extend three one leadon the defending champion Warriors, we will
see. Also there's a hockey gamegoing on. There's just the one tonight,
(02:30):
and it is not going the waythat betters expected, the way that
fans expected, and it speaks tothe fact the Oilers have just not had
reliable goaltending here in this postseason atall. Skinner roughed up tonight. He's
still in Campbell got in there fora few seconds, it looks like,
but Skinner has allowed four goals toBruce Cassidy's Vegas Golden Nights. It's four
(02:54):
one, six minutes to go inthe second period in Edmonton. We know
it's an explosive offense for the Oilers. So this game is not over.
It could get whacky in that thirdperiod or even before the intermission. We'll
see, but a crazy I meana vast percentage of the handle and of
the bets for that matter. Butmostly the handle was on Edmonton, not
(03:15):
only on the money line, buton the pock line, I mean,
there was a lot of faith,a lot of confidence in the Oilers winning
this game, with the series tiedat one going back to Edmonton. But
of course right now not looking sogreat for the Oilers. But as I
said, only a little more thanhalfway through the game, long way to
go. We'll keep an eye onit. Lakers Warriors are underway. We
will be tracking that. But asI welcome in Dan Watkins again, I
(03:38):
am Adam Kaufman. Give us acall. Six one seven two six six
six eight sixty eight. I really, Dan, thought we would be coming
on for this show tonight talking aboutthe Boston Celtics up three one in their
series with the Sixers and an opportunityTuesday night, about twenty one ish hours
from now to close things out ofthe Garden to reach the Eastern Conference Finals,
(04:00):
whichever team they were going to face. But once again, they just
do not make life easy on themselves. Jason Tatum, as good a counting
stats game as he had and certainlydominated on the glass, was a no
show offensively in terms of the statsheet, and in a large part kind
of his role within that offense wasforcing things just look uncomfortable, didn't look
(04:20):
right, you know, bitching atthe rafts, looking for fouls, all
that stuff. When when Tatum kindof goes into his you know, the
wrong bag. We like to sayTatum goes into his bag. Tatum went
into the wrong bag a lot ofthat first half, but he had a
great third quarter, finished pretty strong. They go to overtime. Y'all know,
if you're listening to this show, what happened the way it unfolded a
mental mistake on the part of JaylenBrown late in that overtime, gets off
(04:44):
of James Harden Joel and goes tocover Joel Embiid and then gets chased back
to Harden. Harden hits the three, they go up, and then they
don't call the time out. JoeMissoula originally defended it today about face on
that said, it's okay, youknow, learning we all make mistakes.
Probably should have called time out, should have gone for two for one.
There, should have rushed things weall knew as we watched it. Should
(05:05):
have gotten through the action faster.Whether or not you thought Marcus Smart should
have been the one to take theshot, that's a whole other issue.
Get to the play faster, giveyourselves an opportunity to win the game.
Don't play for the last shot whenyou got nineteen seconds to work with Dan.
I'm going on and on and on. I realized that the Seas should
be up in this series. Istill believe they're going to win. Come
(05:27):
Game five at the Garden. Wecan go over the numbers and where the
money is and the spread and thetotal and all that good stuff. We
will do it obviously over the courseof this two hour show, but right
now, I'm just kind of frustrated. Yeah, silly us for thinking that
the Celtics would put back to backgames together here in this series, or
two three straight games. Excuse mebecause they've won games two in Game three,
but yeah, especially when they startedmaking that comeback in the second half
(05:49):
of Sunday's game, I thought forsure that they were gonna they were gonna
seal the deal and that Philly wouldkind of roll over. But they didn't.
Jaylen Brown, owning up to hismistake, I am expect a big
game from him in Game five. They've all kind of hinted at that they
need to get Jalen Brown the ballmore, and it's just inexcusable when you
look at the box score and you'reactually just watching that game that Jalen Brown
(06:10):
had only three shot attempts in thefourth quarter and did not have a single
shot attempt in overtime, and insteadwe get multiple Marcus Smart the shots butt
is that? Like you just said, you know, I expect Jalen Brown
to have a bigger game. It'snot Brown's fault. He didn't get the
shot opportunities. You know, they'rerunning nose And we saw this earlier in
the series as well, when hewhen he had that eight for ten game
(06:30):
he had the first quarter, Jalenshows up and then he goes quiet right,
not inefficient. He wasn't bad,He just didn't He wasn't getting the
touches. He wasn't getting the opportunity. They're drawing plays up for other guys.
Yeah no, And he shot sixtytwo percent from the floor yesterday,
ten of sixteen. I Jalen Brown, when he wants to be can be
the best player on this team, especially when Jason Tatum's having an off night.
(06:51):
I just think the Celtics gott totry to get him the ball more,
and I think they will hear goingforward in this series because they have
such a significant advantage when Jaylen Brownis on his game. You know it's
so weird is that I've watched theselast couple of games and I just,
you know, a prisoner of themoment, right, I will readily admit
that, But I'm watching and I'mjust like, man, when are we
(07:11):
going to get this? Like thebig Jason Tatum game? Right? You
go then you go back? Though. I mean, the guy had thirty
nine points in game one of thisseries. That feels incredibly efficient. Thirty
nine points as well, he dominated, he was great. It feels like
months ago, Yeah, it does. But he's been a monster on the
on the glass too, Yes,an absolute monster. He almost went twenty
twenty last night, which he's insane. Yeah, he finished with eighteen on
(07:34):
the glass. Pretty incredible, didI tell you. We'll hit the break
in a couple of moments. Andwe've got a couple of great guests tonight,
buddies of mine who I work withelsewhere as well, and Julian Edlo
Matt Lamarca, both big basketball guys. They're going to join the show,
Julian and this first hour Lamarca willhelp us out with the People's Parlay and
(07:55):
talk hoops. In the second hour, I should mention, by the way,
hope your talent the People's lay folks, hope you're tailing Dan and I,
especially with respect if you're doing straitsor whatever with the People's parlay picks
that we give you. Because sofar, and I'll talk more about this
later in more detail, but sofar four shows, two have hit and
(08:15):
two have missed by one leg. Both the guests provided leg so Dan and
I and I'm sure I'm just settingup the jinks for tomorrow, right,
But so far Dan and I areeach four for four combined. It No,
that's right, hit chang stay withus, folks. But where I
did not cash in and should haveand I am so I I have said
(08:35):
this before a number of times.I will harp on this for as long
as we're doing this show. Thereare smart ways to bet, there are
stupid ways to bet, and ingeneral, parlays are just a dumb way
to bet. You know, anyonewill tell you who is who is an
established experienced gambler, Someone who youknow is a professional gambler gambles for a
(08:56):
living. That's where their income comesfrom. They will tell you that that
doing a whole bunch of parlays, especially ones with with tons of legs,
you know, as opposed to likethree or four sucker plays, just stupidity.
But you know, those of uswho love the parlay, and I
am an everyday parlay kind of guy. I like to, you know,
cha chase that carrot, right, and so I for fun, I do
(09:18):
this for for giggles. I onlythrow five bucks at it. This is
not a big investment, uh,for giggles, will like to, you
know, just something to track something, a little checklist. I'll make these,
these these little giggles parlays. I'llmake these like twenty leg or whatever
Celtics parlays during their games. AndI made one day and I tweeted about
this, so you may have seenit. But I made a twenty one
(09:39):
leg admittedly mostly very low achievement parlayall Celtics side in that game for Game
four, and uh, to speakto just how low achievement, most of
these legs were again twenty legs ortwenty one legs, and it was a
plus like twenty one hundred, youknow, So it was five bucks to
(10:01):
win a little over one hundred, like one ten or something like that.
One leg missed, one leg missed, and the leg that missed Derek White.
I needed one assist from him. This one assist, one assist I
needed from Derek White. It wasthe only leg that didn't hit. And
(10:22):
you might be thinking, well, why are you looking at Derek White for
assists. He's not a big cistguy. It's true, it's true.
However, I went back and looked, and Derek White had at least one
assist in forty six of his previousforty seven games. I mean, he's
generally reliable for one singular assist. That's gamble. Happened, that's gambling.
(10:43):
But I know I saw that.My first thought was just, oh,
I see Adam's self imposed exile fromParlays's going, well, I'm gonna run
the exact same bet back for gamefive too. I'm gonna throw another five
bucks at it in tempt fate, and this time somebody'll miss by a rebound.
You know, White'll have three assists. And you know, like even
I had won three pointer from JasonTatum as part of that bet, he
(11:05):
didn't even get that till the overtime, right, So that that thing was
was you know, in real troublefor a little while. But no,
again, the parlays in general, let alone a stupid twenty one leg parlay
not a good way to bet theway you want to do it. We
talk about it a lot. We'lltalk to you know, Jewels coming up
in a little bit maybe about hisstrategies, someone who was successful in the
space straight bets. You know, something that you actually have conviction over.
(11:28):
Obviously, you know, don't justgo with your heart track the data that's
out there. There are a lotof great subscription based services and projection services
and place to shop odds and allof it. You know, Aton,
when we had Aton Schander on aweek ago at this time for our first
show, we were going over alot of that stuff with him. There
are smart ways to go about doingthis where you can make yourself some money
and look, I mean potentially, you know, really fund your year doing
(11:54):
it. It doesn't even just haveto be a side hobby. Depending on
how big your bets are and obviouslythe level of success. But there are
some bad beats out there. Imean, I know a guy who dropped
you know, thirty five k ona college playoff lacrosse game the other day
because he was just so sure itwas a sure thing, and his team
(12:16):
lost by two goals. So younever know, like there are no guarantees
in this stuff, but if youhave enough conviction and you're willing to open
up, you know, the responsiblylike don't don't go betting your mortgage if
if you need the payment for yourmortgage, but if you got the sidecash
the rainy day fund that you wantto play with a little bit, you
know, and and throw ten bucksat something, throw twenty bucks at something,
(12:39):
goof around. You don't need tomake fifty bets a day, folks,
You can make a couple. Youscrew around, you know. It's
the Mobile Betting Is has. Youknow, the retail locations are great too,
but Mobile betting Is has put Vegasat your fingertips, and you know,
obviously the impetus of this show.I'm having a lot of fun with
it. Dan's having a lot offun with it. Our producery J Pacheco's
just getting in do it as well, and many of you out there listening,
(13:03):
and obviously our guests. So ifyou have any thoughts, questions,
comments, whatever it may be,whether you're a sharp whether you're you know
someone who's who's a novice and brandnew to this and wants to get to
know the space a little bit more, gets get educated. We are here
for you six one seven two sixsix six eight six eight. That is
six one seven two six six sixeight six eight. We're going to step
(13:24):
aside when we come back. JulianEdlow from DraftKings talking a little hoops as
we keep an eye on the Lakersand an early lead for the Warriors out
in LA. We'll be back theGambler with Adam Coffman on w RKO.
It's the Gambler with Adam Coffman hereon w r KO. Six one seven
two six six six eight six eight. Be with us, join in.
(13:48):
We hope you do obviously love tohear from me to talk a little hoops,
keeping an eye close eye on theWarriors Lakers game that is still early
on, about halfway through a littlemore than halfway through the open and quarter
will be live sweating this one, then maybe checking out some in game live
betting options as we go throughout thenext hour and a half on this show
and obviously coming up here in amatter of moments, talk quite a bit
(14:11):
about what is going on in thatCeltics sixers series. With that, let's
welcome in my buddy Julian Edlowe fromDraftKings, who is a DraftKings content specialist.
You can find all of his insightsall over DK Live. He has
a podcast of his own, theUnreasonable Odds Podcast, very involved member of
the space Jules. How are you, just, Dandy Kaufman? How are
(14:35):
you well? I'm getting you onthe phone after ten o'clock on a Monday
night. I'm flying hi, buddy. I know this is a massive win
for you. It's very late.Speaking of massive wins, how should I
be feeling about my Celtics minus oneand a half series bets right now?
With the series tied it two?I don't hate it because, honestly,
(15:00):
if they had I bet them ingames three and four on the road a
little bit bigger. In game threeI was more confident there and they came
through. But that number opened minusthree and a half in game four,
I said I'll let it sit gameclose to pick them. I thought that
was a little too short, andI took them in it. Obviously,
(15:20):
pick him was the right number becausethat landed on it essentially being a coin
flip game. But had had thatlanded on the Celtics and they took a
three to one lead in the series, I would have been very hesitant about
them on Tuesday Night because that's aspot that over and over again they've they've
fallen flat as recently obviously as lastseries against Atlanta, when they have all
(15:43):
the all the talent edges in theworld, everything going their way, a
chance to close out at home ina Game five and get some rest,
and they can't do it. Sosometimes these things wind up, I don't
want to say working in their favor, but pushing them in the rights to
direction. So game five I feellike it is a very good good spot
(16:07):
for them, given what happened recently, and then once they do that again.
I they have one of the besthome buildings in the NBA, as
you know, but this team, this building doesn't propel this team to win
like it necessarily did with that twothousand and eight team, the twenty ten
team, teams of the past. This team plays better on the road.
(16:30):
So you know, we've seen Phillycrumble series after series, year after year.
If this winds up being in closeoutsituation with Boston going to Philly with
a little bit of momentum. Istill think that that's a better chance for
them to close than coming home fora Game seven on Sunday. We can
only hope there would be confetti backin Philly. We haven't seen any yet
(16:52):
this series. It would be alittle bit you know, Yeah, it
would be a little bit more twistingof the knife, I guess if it
was in a series clincher rather thana Game three like it was last time
around. But yeah, that wouldbe nice. Well, so everything that
you just said, should people doyou have the conviction in the Celtics to
(17:15):
you know, lay the seven anda half points, you know, because
obviously there's no value in the moneyline. As I look at it right
now, it's minus three fifteen onthe Draftking Sports Book. So are you
looking money or or at the spreadrather or are you more fixated on I
don't know, some prop plays.People expecting a big game from Jason Tatum
(17:36):
after his dud first half and allof that. Yeah, the bounce back
from Tatum, I don't I'm notgonna I don't really have as much of
an opinion on a Tatum does ordoesn't go above his point, prop,
I think he already answered the bounceback though, like his bounce back from
that first half was his second half. That was one of the best half
(17:56):
he's played in a long time.So he showed me a lot with what
he did in the second half ofthat game. I don't think he needs
to necessarily come out like, youknow, after the seven point Game two.
He came out pretty hot in thefirst quarter at least of games three,
even though he didn't have a crazygame overall. For me, I
(18:18):
guess before we talk to talk aboutthe game itself, prop wise, I
am going to play Jalen Brown firstquarter points, which had been six and
a half all series. It's nowup to seven and a half. But
you're getting plus money on it.He's He's scored twelve or more points in
the first quarter in three of thefour games so far in this series.
He's been, you know, goingwell over this mark, and a lot
(18:42):
of those games have been kind ofthe same story. He doesn't show up
down the stretch, doesn't take anyshots down the stretch, and then either
he or the team or both makea point of getting him involved early the
next time around. So that's kindof been a trend has repeated itself a
lot in this series, three ofthe four games, So I'm gonna I'm
(19:06):
gonna say that that one sticks andBrown gets involved early and gets to eight
points in the first quarter, andthat's even money on DK sportsbook for the
game itself. You know, ifyou like the Celtics, you probably shouldn't
be afraid to lay seven because whathistory tells us with this team is that
(19:26):
when they win, they win withmargin. When these games are close,
they've been coming undone and losing them. So if they're gonna win, it's
probably gonna be by more than sevenpoints. But the way is that I'm
going to be looking at avoiding thepoints. Number one, I think they
respond well to the loss. Idon't mind them at four, four and
a half on the first quarter. On the first half line, I think
(19:48):
they should build up some decent marginin this game going into the half.
You could also play I think it'sin the one fifty minus one sixty range.
Is the half first half, fullgame double results, So Celtics to
lead at halftime and Celtics to winthe game, you kind of get rid
of the points. You gotta laya little bit of juice, but it's
nice not having to worry about, you know, leading at five at half,
(20:11):
leading at eight after the game, things like that. So I think
that that one comes into play here, and then I also I do like
both of the both of the homefavorites tomorrow night, Yokich obviously not going
to be suspended. That was kindof a non story. I didn't think
it had any chances happening, butwe have that officially. So that's the
(20:37):
two two series that Denver was uptwo to nothing and I really thought they
were gonna split. I know I'mleaking into another series now, but I
really thought they were gonna split. They didn't. Booker and Durance and Insane
shop making. I think it's areally strong bounce back spot for Denver that
we can touch on a little bitthroughout the segment. But I think it
pairs well with the Celtics, getsyou right around even money for both of
(20:57):
those teams to win the game tomorrow. So I think there's a handful of
ways that you can bet the Celticswithout having to lay the points for the
full game and prop perspective, definitely, Jalen Brown first quarter is by far
my favorite prop in that game.So I'll ask you a bit more about
the Nuggets and Suns after we breakon the other side, and we'll get
(21:18):
to the other series as well, the one obviously the game that went final
with the Knicks beat or falling tothe Heat, and of course this game
that's still going on right now.But one more thing for you before we
do break so relatively quickly with thisone. But for the Celtics and Sixers,
we saw it in the last coupleof games, the over two fourteen.
It's been a pretty consistent total throughoutthis series. Is an increasing amount
(21:40):
of money both handle and bets hascontinued to be placed on this It's the
only thing that really in terms ofthe betting numbers relatively early because we're still,
you know, like I said, almost a full day away from this
game actually tipping off. But it'sthe only place where there is any sort
of real edge. You know,it's almost a fifty fifty split on the
spring. It's like a sixty fortysplit according to Visa numbers for the Drafting
(22:03):
Sports Book on the money line, but pretty dominating three quarters or even eighty
twenty in terms of the over versusthe under. Are you in line with
that? Yeah, the total istough. These these are gonna start coming
under at some point, and generallywhen the series tightens up in the later
games is when that's going to happen. So I would be careful with the
(22:26):
total. It's still probably set alittle low. The Celtics have been going
over on the road with much moreease than they have in these home games,
so this eventually this is going toset up for a game to go
under, and it might be agame in Boston, which obviously there's only
going to be one or two ofleft. So man, when the games
(22:52):
get bigger, the pace can slowdown, the players can get a little
tighter. I'm not gonna have aplay on the total, but I would
just caution better is that at somepoint this series is going to tighten up
and the thunders are going to startcoming in because these numbers are set where
they are for a reason. Allright, Well look at these other series
when we come back. There areof course six other teams that are still
(23:14):
playing in the NBA as much asour focus is on the Celtics and Sixers,
So stay with us. We've gotto another segment with Julian Edlow from
DraftKings coming up on the Gambler withAdam Kaufman. Gambler with Adam Kaufman.
That's me, Hi, Good tosee you. Hope you're well. Julian
Edelow from DraftKings Content Specialist is withus. We have them for just about
eight ten more minutes. We'll bouncearound the other series in the NBA.
(23:37):
We talked extensively in the previous segmentabout the Celtics and Sixers. Game five
is on the way. If youmissed any of that, I encourage you
obviously go back check out the podcast. We are available on Apple, on
Spotify, Stitcher, Pandora. We'reall over the place. Leave us a
review, give us a five starrating. We greatly appreciate your support.
It's a brand new show. Thisis the first one of week two as
a matter of fact, and Juleshonored to have you here. Buddy.
(24:00):
You would start to delve into theSuns and Nuggets. This game that is
on the way in a series thatis tied to two, and much like
how I felt on Sunday, Ithought the Celtics were going to beat the
Sixers to go up three one.I thought the Nuggets. We're going to
beat the Suns to go up threeone, So what should we expect here?
I know you already said you'd putmoney on the Nuggets, so obviously
you believe in Denver with Nicole Yokichnot suspended. But to what degree,
(24:23):
I mean, how confident are youthat they're going to find a way as
good as Yokich is to not haveBooker and Durant continue to explode on the
other side. Yeah, I justthink what Phoenix is doing in all credit
to Booker and Durant isn't sustainable, especially on the road. You know,
Yokich isn't gonna have to get fiftyin these games in Denver because the guys
(24:48):
behind him, in theory, shouldshould play a lot better. So when
you go on the road and youlose twos as the better team, and
you know I would, I don't. Both of them were winnable, but
at least one of them was avery winnable game and you lost to some
ridiculous shot making of Booker and Durant. I think it to a degree,
(25:11):
it's not quite the same thing, but to a degree feels like the Durant
year in Brooklyn when Harden got hurtand then Kyrie got hurt, and Durant
was putting on a show, butat some point and he was, you
know, he was a toneenail awayfrom from winning the series. Yep,
yep. Shouldn't have doubled up onthose cushy NBA socks um at some point,
(25:37):
like that talent, that singular talentin this case, two of them
isn't going to be enough to beatsomebody that you know, Yokich plays at
an MVP level. And the balancethat that Denver had behind him, especially
with two more of these games inDenver, I thought that it was going
to be a split in Denver wasgonna have a really good, good closeout
(26:02):
opportunity here, and that's not thecase. But I will continue to back
Denver's balance over the show that Bookerand Durant are putting on and say at
some point because they need all ofit from both of them, like it's
just going to take one of themto have a bad shooting night, even
if the other one still has fortyfor the rest of that team to fall
(26:23):
off. With Chris Paul not onthe floor, you're counting so much on
and I know Sham it stepped upand hit the threes down the stretch.
That was a huge difference maker inthe last game. You're counting on Shamont
Campaign, Josh Akoge, Tory Craig, guys that aren't going to be able
to get it done for you ifBooker and Durant aren't combining for eighty whatever
(26:44):
points. Are you of the mindthat whoever wins that series is going to
the NBA Finals or is that notgiving enough respect to the defending champion Warriors
and obviously the Lakers led by LebronJames. No, not at all.
I think that the Western Conference iswide open. I mean, really all
four teams. The Suns are thefavorite coming in. I think they're going
(27:06):
to lose this series, but I'mnot going to completely write them off because
of what they're doing. So yeah, I think either the Lakers or Warriors,
who both have a huge experience advantageover Denver, would both be very
alive in that series. Keep aneye on this one. I don't know
how closely you're watching it. Obviouslyyou've been on the phone with me here,
(27:26):
but the Warriors are leading very earlyin the second quarter. It's a
three point game right now. Andjust kind of back and forth, not
unlike how many of these well,I shouldn't even say many of these games.
We've seen some blowouts within this seriesas well, But how do you
think not so much tonight specifically, even though it's very impactful if the Lakers
win their up three one, itjust feels over. Not to totally dismiss
(27:48):
Steph in that championship experience, butwhat are you thinking of this series so
far in terms of is there anysort of confidence in the way that you're
going about betting these games? Orhave you not really been betting these games?
So I didn't bet tonight's game becauseI don't totally know what to expect.
And that's because this should be aWarrior's spot. This should, in
(28:11):
theory, be you have two veteranteams, two teams that have won,
filled with players that have won. This should be a back and forth series
where the road team has no issuebouncing back and winning these games. The
problem is obviously that the Warriors arefourteen and thirty two. I think it
is against the spread on the road. For some reason, this year's Warriors
(28:33):
can't get it done on the road, and I know they did get the
two done in Sacramento that they neededto, but that was against a young,
inexperienced team. You know, youwant to talk about a team duking
all over themselves, that was theKings in the second half of Game seven
at home. So it wasn't likethe as good as Curry was, I
(28:53):
want to be respectful to them, but it wasn't like the Warriors. Told
that one. The Kings also gaveit up. So I need to see
the Warriors win on the road tobelieve it. Otherwise I would have been
on the Warriors tonight. Got Fosterof course on the game. So maybe
betters know that that tends to pointto the Warriors, and I still couldn't
get there on them. But Ibet the Warriors in in Game two after
(29:18):
they lost Game one. That's obviouslythat's the best trend going in the NBA
right now. I think it's sixteenand Ozero home teams that lose Game one
to come back and win Game two, and then that was a blowout.
You come back. You bet theLakers on Saturday night in Game three that
one was a rocking chair winner. This game and the rest of this series.
I don't have much of a feelfor because I need to see a
(29:41):
playout game by game. You know, if if the Lakers do win this
game at home to go up threeto one, the Warriors would absolutely be
a Game five spot for me.Down three to one going back home with
their season on the line, thatwould probably be one of my more confident
(30:02):
spots in this round of the postseason. But if it's two to two and
the Warriors go all out and doget this game on the road again,
I think that both of these teamsshould be very capable of winning on the
road, and that would make fora pretty unpredictable Game five. We've got
one minute left and then we'll letyou go. Miami up three one on
the Knicks. Would the win earliertonight? Is this series effectively over?
(30:26):
I think so if you've been watchingit. The Heat just owned the Knicks.
This could have been a sweep.Miami made a push for Game two,
but like I said, that trendsixteen and Ozer, when you lose
game one at home. The Knickscame through and got that game, but
they were losing for a lot ofit. So I think Jimmy Butler and
the balance of the Heat, theway that they're playing right now. They
(30:48):
look maybe better than last year's teamthat went to Game seven of the Eastern
Arference Finals. This one its heatplus three and a half in Game five,
and I just don't see it withthe Knicks. The heat come in
and get it done. Who knows, Scott Foster will probably on that game,
but I think that the heat plusthree and a half, it would
be that or nothing for me.At this point, they are dominating the
(31:11):
Knicks. Jules, I know it'san ungodly hour with your young family,
but I hope we can get youback on this show with some regularity.
Yep, I'll be back. I'mgonna try and stay up as late as
I can here for this game withoutfalling asleep, and generally that results in
me just waking up drooling on myselfon the couch and watching the postgame show
(31:32):
that I've never heard fatherhood described anyother way. Julian Edlow, thank you
so much. You can find hiswork over at DraftKings The Unreasonable Odds Podcast.
We will let him go. We'regoing to step aside. Matt Lamarka
will join us in the second hour, but Dan Watkins will rejoin plenty of

of segments. As we go,guest free join in six one, seven,

just out there tracking live bets, seeing what's going on, what we're sweating.
There are some picture k props rightnow that are making me a little
bit nervous. We'll see how thatplays out. But let's go back to
the guest line. Matt Lamarca, who is a good buddy of mine.
(32:37):
He also works all over the placein the betting and fantasy community, be
it DraftKings, Matthew Berry's fantasy life. He is over at Action Network,
he's at props. Us you're Lamarca, how do you find the time even
to come on with us? Well, you know, for you, I'll
squeeze you in anytime. You knowthat, buddy. But other than that,
(32:58):
it's just sleep about twice a week, and I just you know,
I hibernate during those time periods, and then other than that, I'm just
grind. Lamarca, you are numberone, number one, my friend.
Thank you for being here. Allright, We're gonna talk a little hoops.
Dan Watkins is here as well, and we'll bounce around, not unlike
we did in the first hour withour mutual friend and colleague, Julian Edlow,
(33:21):
Celtics and Sixers. Lamarca, asfar as I'm concerned, as far
as what I thought coming into wherewe would be sitting right now, the
Sixers, you know, would wouldbe on the brink of elimination. The
Celtics would be up three to one. They would have taken both those games
in Philadelphia after that split in Bostonand felt confident going back home. Edlow
said, had they done that thathe would have been nervous that that would
(33:43):
have been a spot where the Sea'shistorically would lay an egg because they just
can't seem to, you know, seize the moment and close it. And
as a result, because of theway Game four played out, he's actually
he's he swung the other way now, you know, with it tied,
he thinks going back to Game five, the Celtics are going to be on
a mission and it's a great bounceback there. You know it's gonna be
three two either way in his head, but this time they're going to have
(34:05):
the momentum going into Game six.As we look at it right now,
at seven and a half points onthe spread, most of the money is
going to the over. The Seasare the increasing favorite on the money line,
even though obviously it's not a favorablenumber. I'm seeing minus three fifteen
right now. How is Game fivegoing to play out to you? Yeah,
As much as I hate to sayit, I think I have to
(34:27):
agree with Julian here. It isa spot I think, not unlike Game
two, where the Celtics should bounceback and come forward with their best performance.
If you look at the two gamesthat Philly has won in this series,
they've really just been unbelievable performances fromJames Harden. And I said after
(34:49):
Game one that I did not thinkthat James Harden would be able to have
another performance like that again, Buthe proved me wrong. He did it
again. In Game four, andI think when you look at those numbers
for Harden, the fact that thatgame still went to overtime, that's actually
got to make you feel pretty goodas a Celtics fan, right. You
(35:10):
know, James Harden is not goingto shoot seventy percent from the field and
score forty points very often. Andthe fact that that's the type of effort
that it takes for the seventy sixersto contend in this series. I think
as long as as he's more mortalin game five, Boston should be able
(35:32):
to take care of business. Sowe didn't talk about Harden all that much
with Julian earlier, so I'm gladthat you brought him up. It really
has been I don't want to oversimplifythis man, but he really has been
kind of the common denominator. Youknow, he goes throwback all worldly James
Harden without Joel and beat available. In game one, he is, you
know, terrible. In games twoand three, I think shot a combined
(35:53):
five for twenty eight and then guycomes out and it's like he's right out
of the Atlanta Clubs in game four, live in his absolute best life.
In Game five, when it comesto what to expect from this guy,
or even how to bet him?I don't know. You know, everybody's
different, whether they just want todo straight plays, you know, on
teams, or if they want todelve into the prop space or put together
(36:15):
parlays or whatever else. But lookingat hardened props, you know I'm seeing
twenty one and a half is theover under on points. You could look
at his rebounds, which are sixand a half right now over his plus
money. His assists, obviously apopular category for him, is sitting at
eight and a half plus one twentyon the over. What kind of game
should we expect from him? Yeah, I think my natural tendency is whenever
(36:38):
a guy is coming off of ahuge performance, I'm always looking to go
in the opposite direction. That's attwenty one points or twenty one and a
half, that does feel very lowfor Harden. I think of all the
numbers you listed, the one Iwould feel the best about is the assist.
(36:59):
At least if you're looking in theplaying over Joel Embiid, you know
he was definitely more aggressive in gamefour. His usage rate was up to
around thirty seven percent. It hadbeen closer to twenty seven percent through his
first few games in this series andeven dating back to that Brooklyn series.
(37:20):
So the fact that Embiid was alsovery aggressive on offense I think bodes well
for Harden as a distributor, anddid most of his damage in Game four
from the charity stripe. He gotto the line for fifteen free throw attempts.
If some of those turn into fieldgoal attempts in Game five, Harden
(37:42):
could very well be the beneficiary froman assist standpoint, and he had nine
assists to begin with in Game four, so he averaged double digits for the
regular season league leader and assists.I think banking on him to get to
that level in Game five makes alot of sense. Dan Watkins here,
one of the props that I'm lookingat for this one is Malcolm brogged in
(38:04):
over fourteen and a half points. He's hit this number in every game this
series and five straight games. Anyreason that he wouldn't get to fifteen points
in Game five, I don't seewhy he wouldn't. You know, he
has been a very good player forthe Celtics all season. You know,
he got to around thirty six minutesin that last game. He played more
(38:25):
than Derek White as a member ofthe starting unit, and it's not like
he shot the ball all that well, where I don't think it's it's sustainable.
I mean five for eight from three. He definitely ran a little bit
pure there, but he was subfifty percent from the field and scored nineteen
points. I don't see why hewouldn't be able to do that again.
(38:45):
How do you think you're gonna betthis game? If you're gonna bet this
game, I'm definitely looking at Celticsminus seven and a half, and I
might get some exposure on an alternatenumber as well. I think that there
is definitely a scenario where this turnsinto another, you know, blowout like
(39:05):
we saw in Game two. Maybenot a forty point blowout, but certainly
I could see the Seas winning bytwenty plus here. And I still think
you can bet Boston minus one anda half games for the series. I
think that them winning games five andsix is a very realistic scenario. Do
you I don't want to spend toomuch time on this because we did it
(39:27):
with Julian already, but you know, so for the fear of repeating ourselves.
But are you a totals guy,you know, Julian said, I
just I when the number is sowhen the money is moving as much as
it is in the over direction, like what we're seeing, it's two fourteen
is the total right now? Maybeit gets bet up a little bit,
but right now it's two fourteen. The money is better than eighty twenty in
(39:50):
terms of people betting the over.In the wake of what we've seen so
far in this series, Julian said, it's just not really something he's interested
in because he thinks as the seriesgoes along, and as the playoffs in
general go along, we're just goingto start to see more unders. Defense
is going to tighten up. Evenas appealing as a number is, two
fourteen is as compared to let's say, the Suns and Nuggets who are sitting
at two twenty eight in the gametomorrow night, or like it. I'm
(40:14):
the type of person I'm not sayingthis is a good bet, but I'm
the type of person who would like, Yeah, Celtics minus seven and a
half and the over, A're gonnaparlay it. You know, what do
you look at? I definitely prefersides two totals. I think there are
certain scenarios where where totals make moresense. And you know, typically like
I have thrived on Nick under stirringthe postseason because they play a lot of
(40:38):
really slow games and they're not thegreatest offensive team in the world. But
I think this number is ultimately prettyfair. I would say maybe, if
anything, if even a simitch high. The pace in the last game of
this series was just pure snail's pace. Eighty three point two possessions per forty
(40:59):
eight minutes. That is like asslow as you'll see in twenty twenty three.
Yeah, it was the slowest fora Celtics game the entire season,
right, and both teams were reallygood offensively. Both teams had an offensive
rating of at least one hundred andtwenty five points, so seventeen points game.
In overtime, you know, therewere two hundred and thirty one point
(41:22):
score, so if you subtract theseventeen, you get to two fourteen.
But I think expecting some shooting regressionon both sides is probably warranted. So
when we come back, we're goingto look at your knicks. I didn't
even mention the fact that you area Knicks fan, so I want to
know how you feel about that I'ma New Yorker, I'm less a Knicks
fan than I am just in NewYork. That's fair. We'll talk a
(41:43):
little bit about what happened earlier tonightwith Miami winning that game to make it
three one. We'll look at theother series, including the game that's happening
right now. Second half is acouple of minutes in with Warriors still leading
the Lakers, but obviously it's veryclose. But the other thing we're going
to do, and I want togive your heads up on this before we
go to break, so I don'tspring it upon you. I want to
give you time to prepare, whichis the We do a little thing here
(42:05):
called the People's Parlay where I willpick a leg and Dan will pick a
leg, and you, the guest, will pick a leg. We will
build a parlay together for tomorrow, and you are required to play it.
You can use any book you want. You can put a dollar on it
if you want. I don't carewhat you put on it. Your bankroll
is your business, but you arerequired to play it. So basically what
(42:28):
I'm telling you is is, youknow, we want the parlay to hit
for the people and for ourselves becausewe are invested. Can you handle that?
Absolutely? Let's cook up something fun, all right, We're gonna do
that when we come back. MattLamarca is with us. I am Adam
Kaufman. It's The Gambler with AdamKaufman on w RKO. Sick and tired
of old sports talk and want toget right into the action. The Gambler
(42:51):
with Adam Kaufman. As you covered, call us now with six one seven
two six six six eight six eight. That's six one seven to six six
six eight six eight. The Gamblerwith Adam Kaufman will be right back after
this on wr KO. Kaufman walkingsback with you along with Matt Lamarca,
(43:13):
just another degenerate trying not to gobroke. As for his Twitter bio and
just you know, he speaks forall of us. He's from DraftKings,
Matthew Berry's Fantasy Life, Action Networkprops us as well. Lamarca will do
the People's Parlay coming up in afew moments, but I want us to
obviously spend some more time on theseother basketball series. We got a rock
(43:35):
fight here between the Warriors and Lakers, which I'd love to see keep this
thing closed. Keep the counting statsgoing up. It's good for the props,
my friend, it's good for theprops. What did you think,
as you the New Yorker, evenif you're not a self proclaimed Knicks fan,
you the New Yorker, Are theKnicks are on the brink of elimination
after losing the Heat there down threeto one? Is this thing over?
(43:57):
Yeah? I mean maybe not inGame five, but they are not winning
this series. And I think we'vereached the point where we kind of just
have to forget everything we think weknow about the Heat from the regular season.
They're just a different team. They'replaying on a different level right now.
I mean, Jimmy Butler, ofcourse, is playing arguably the best
(44:20):
basketball in the league. He wouldbe the MVP of the playoffs if that
was an award that they handed outthrough the first two rounds. And even
like Kyle Lowry went from having ajust very very disappointing mediocre regular season to
he kind of looks back to beingKyle Lowry. So this team, you
know, if you just look atwhat they did during the regular season,
(44:43):
all their metrics, they're extremely underwhelming. But at this point, I don't
I don't know if there's a teamthat would want to face them in the
postseason. So as far as Butlergoes, because I agree with everything that
you're saying, he's playing at anotherlevel. I mean it's not like I
don't know, I don't know thatI would quite go to the like MVP
(45:05):
of the playoffs level just because ofwhat we've seen, like Devin Booker doing
on the other side for instance,And we'll talk about that series. But
Butler obviously is carrying that team, getting a lot of good contributions from complimentary
players as you mentioned bam Adebayo, who had himself a great game earlier today.
What does it take for that teamif you're thinking about you know,
you're watching them, is there anythingthat has you so confident where you're starting
(45:29):
to look at futures prices and likeall right, I mean this team going
to the finals representing the Eastern theconference, maybe even winning a championship.
Could we get that you know,Bubble finals rematch that people are talking about
with these two teams still alive, the Heat and the Lakers, are you
thinking ahead with what you've seen fromMiami within this series. I think Miami
can legitimately win the East. Andif they can win the East, I
(45:52):
don't see why they can't win thewhole thing. The thing about miamis the
other teams are probably going to bemore talented than in them whoever they face
for the rest of the series,But it takes more than that to beat
them. You have to show upand you have to play as hard as
them for seven games. You know, Milwaukee was clearly the better team of
(46:15):
the two, and Miami is justnot afraid. They are not going to
back down if you beat them. They don't care. They know that they
can come back and beat you thenext day. They have just really adopted
Jimmy Butler's mentality, you know, and I think that they're going to be
a really tough out if the Celticsdo happen to get there, and you
(46:37):
know, I think that's who Iwould imagine will play them in the next
round. The Celtics are going tobe favorites, and they deserve to be
favorites based on what we know aboutthese two teams. But Boston is going
to have to show up and beready for a fight every single night or
Miami can catch them. Well.Celtics fans have that Jimmy Butler PTSD from
(46:58):
previous years. Anyway, Miami plusthree eighty to win the East though.
I mean I wouldn't personally make thebet because my Boston bias wouldn't allow me
to. But it's a good number. Yeah, and I think they're even
I was looking at the futures andI want to say, they're still like
eighteen to one maybe to win thetitle. I might be making that number
(47:20):
up. I'll tell eighteen to oneto win the title. I am seeing
plus ten thousand now plus one thousand, okay, yeah, no, plus
ten plus ten thousand to win thechampionship? How is that possible? Oh?
I'm sorry. I was looking atthe Knicks. Plus seventeen hundred.
Yeah, seventeen to one, whatdo you do in Kaufman. Seventeen to
(47:46):
eighteen to one, I think isa great number for them at this point.
I mean they're basically, you know, barring a historic type collapse,
they're locked into the conference finals. They just have to win two more series.
Then again, they'll be underdogs regardlessof who they play, you know,
in the Eastern Conference finals. Andif they make it to the finals,
(48:07):
they would be underdogs there as well. But with the way this team
is playing, I don't see whythey can't win, right. I was
very impressed with how the Knicks playedin Round one, pretty much dismantling a
Cavaliers team that was a kind ofan analytical darling. They were one of
the best teams in the league interms of net rating. They have a
(48:29):
proven playoff competitor in Donovan Mitchell, and the Knicks just wiped him out.
And now the Heat are making theKnicks look like a complete fraud. So
I'm scared of the Heat. IfI was a Celtics fan, I would
be terrified of the Heat. Ireally think they could go back to the
finals, so in the spirit ofwiping people out, Nicole Yoki could have
(48:52):
gotten suspended for killing the Sun's owner, but but he didn't because he basically
didn't touch him. He game alittle elbow to put him in his seat,
and that's that's about it. Didn'teven know who he was at the
time, And you know what, the joker, he doesn't care either.
You didn't give a damn who thatguy is that was getting in his way.
Find twenty five K. So heremains live for Game five. Which
is how we all expected this toplay out anyway. So this this game,
(49:15):
though, I just I don't know. I mean ed Loo said he'd
bet on the Nuggets. I beton the Nuggets for Game four. I
thought that Denver was gonna win thatgame, and I will probably do the
same thing tomorrow, but but notwith you know, overwhelming conviction. What
about you? First off, Ithink the new Sun Zonner is smart.
(49:36):
He wants nothing to do with thosebrothers. Okay, you say whatever you
need to to play kate them,Okay. But as for the game tomorrow,
I really like Denver. I thinkit's a prime bounce back spot for
them. They were the second bestteam or tied for the best against the
spread record at home during the regularseason. They had the fourth test ats
(50:00):
record coming off of a loss,so I think it's a good spot for
them to sort of get back ontrack. We know how just outstanding that
home court advantage is in Denver. And you mentioned Devin Booker earlier. The
guy has has been playing out ofhis mind and maybe he didn't keep doing
(50:21):
it. I mean, he hasn'tflowed down yet, but what he did
in those last two games in Phoenixwas unbelievable. I mean scoring, you
know, averaging over forty points agame while shooting basically eighty percent from the
field. That can't happen again. So I think if he cools down,
I mean, of course, theystill have Kevin Durant who can pick up
(50:43):
the slack. But it just feelslike Phoenix is due for a little bit
of a regression, at least fromBooker and with Chris Paul. You know,
I think that the initial prognosis washe was not expected to play in
game five. We'll see what happenswith the injury report tomorrow, but this
just feels like a spot for Denverto sort of reassert their dominance. In
(51:06):
the interest of time, Let's getto the People's Parlay here and again the
way this works. Use whatever bookyou want, whatever whatever amounts wage or
whatever amount you want, you arerequired to play this. And you know
what listeners, I would encourage thatyou do that you tail it. Because
we are one week into the People'sParlay. Four shows. This comes at
you Monday through Thursday. It ishit twice with Aton Schander and with Nick
(51:30):
Whalan on Friday to book end theweek, Monday and Thursday and it missed
on Tuesday and Thursday, or Tuesdayand Wednesday, each time by one leg
and no pressure Lamarca. But itwas the guest leg, which means four
no. Dan is four no.And I know, right our buddy Jeff
Ulrich got we should have had thepeople's parlay hit three times last week,
(51:54):
but he got stupid, he gotgreedy and for his leg picked in anytime
goalscorer and and just totally mess thething up. We want people to actually
win these things. So you, being the guest here, I would I've
got my book open, I'm readyto wager. I want you to tell
me what I'm putting down. Okay, so I'm taking minus five and a
(52:15):
half. If you really wanted toplay it safe, you could take them
on the money line at roughly minustwo hundred. But I think laying the
points with Denver here is fine. That's my That's my favorite side for tomorrows
NBA's League. You know, forall the reasons I mentioned previously, I
(52:35):
just think that Denver, they werethe best team in the Western Conference all
year. They're in a leaf hometeam, they get the job done in
game five. Okay, I'm seeingminus one to weight on that number minus
five and a half, Dan,what do you have? Yep, I'm
gonna go NHL and I'm gonna goDallas Stars money line. I'm expecting a
big bounce back game from the StarsTuesday night. They were flat out embarrassed
(52:57):
Sunday night in Seattle they lost sevento two, and whether or not Mero
Heishkin in plays Tuesday night, Ilike Dallas to bounce back big. They
haven't lost back to back games andover in just about two months now,
since the second week of March. So Dallas they did this in the Minnesota
series. Just when you think theymight be kind of packing it in for
the season, they come back andthey win three straight games in that series.
And Jake Ottinger has to play better, which I think he will on
(53:20):
Tuesday Night. So I'll tell youwhat, guys, I was looking at
a couple of props. I wasn'tsure what direction you guys were gonna go,
and I was looking at Max Scherzerunder six and a half k's I
do like that play. I waslooking at Tobias Harris over thirteen and a
half points. I like that playsto bounce back for him, especially if
James Harden is less of a factorfor the Sixers, So I guess I
will dealers choice it and say playeither one of those if you want.
(53:44):
But the play that I am givingyou, the play that I am going
to play in my parlay, ifwe're doing this all together, is I'm
staying right there in that game thatDan was just talking about, and I
am going over five and a halfgoals for the Stars and Kraken. I
can't believe that number is as lowas it is. We have seen three
games in this series so far.In Game one, nine goals, Game
(54:06):
two, six goals, Game threenine goals, we have cleared that number
in all three games, and yetit is still five and a half.
So I'm going over five and ahalf in that game. And that is
for me, anyway, a plusfour sixty eight three leg parlay. And
I'm looking at the splits right now, and that Adam ninety five percent of
the handle, ninety four percent ofthe bets around the over in this game
(54:29):
tomorrow night in Seattle. My goodness, So Lamarca, I hope you were
taking notes or maybe even actively makingthe bet. I got my notes ready.
I'm going to add it and theshares are part two for fun because
that's just the way that the metseason has gone for me. Yeah,
I might throw it into but thatnumbers at six and a half. He
has not had more than six strikeoutsin a start yet this season, and
(54:50):
he also has not gotten through thefourth inning in his past two starts.
And not only that, I didn'tmention this. That is plus money.
That's a plus bet at under sixand a half, So you know,
fortune favors the bold. I supposethe Reds are bad, though, so
be careful, be careful on thatone. The Reds aren't bad, that's
true. Lamarca. Thanks for beingpart of this, buddy. We will
bug you again for certain absolutely anytime. Guys. All right, Matt Lamarca
(55:15):
from all over the place, AsI mentioned DraftKings and Matt Berry's Fantasy Life
and Action Network. He's He's allover. Check out his work. You
can get him on Twitter as well. It is at Matt Lamarca. Easy
enough to remember. We are goingto step aside, give you time to
build out that people's parlay. Beback with you to start to put this
show to bed. On the otherside, any event about bad bets you've
(55:38):
come to the right place. Tellus about it. Call six one seven
two six six six eight six assix one seven two six six six eight
six eight, or if you're listeningon the iHeartRadio app, use the talkback
button. The Gambler with Adam Kaufmanwill be right back after this. On
(55:59):
w RKO, we are down toour last six seven minutes and we've actually
got a competitive game. I sayactually because it was starting to slip away.
It looked like for the Lakers. The Warriors got up by double digits
and then some it was like thirteenfourteen points, but clawing back. Are
the Lakers there within six late thirdquarters, So hopefully we'll be getting off
(56:22):
the air for an exciting finish foreveryone to sit back in their chairs,
on their couches and their beds whereveryou are and watch this thing. Yeah,
Lakers are on a ten to runas of right now, so we'll
see Steph with a bucket to ussay, it's the same thing that usually
happens with Golden State, right. They got to give Steph a little rest
late in the third quarter. Theother team starts creeping in and then they
(56:44):
got to bring him off the bench. Which is what's happened here. Klay
Thompson two for eight, just absolutelyhit three to start the third and then
and then nothing after that. Peopleare gonna tell me it was good tonight
because he's a plus player. He'splus ale. Yeah, and of course
now Anthony Davis has a very veryquiet third quarter, So the under is
(57:06):
still alive here entering the fourth, and watch, I'll probably won't score anything
for the first eight minutes of theof the fourth quarter, just to get
my hopes up. Yeah, it'sjust alive enough to tease you. Basically,
I'm glad you brought up for tomorrow, by the way, too,
because I was looking at that aswell. Yeah, it's a I appreciate
Lamarka turning that thing into a fourfour play four legger. I thought about
(57:27):
it. I did. I justyou know, there's well I was gonna
say, to be safe, there'sno such thing as being safe. But
I did the three leg yep uh, And I did independently. I put
a straight play on Scherzer. WhetherI decide to go back and make yet
another parlay with the extra lag,I don't know. We'll see. We'll
see how I'm feeling after this thingunfolds tonight. But I'm not not feeling
(57:49):
so great about winding up in thegreen the way this game is playing out.
But you know, well we'll know, and I don't know, in
about an hour that hockey game isover ended five to one. So people
that pet the over in that thing. And I saw what six and a
half seven at points in the day, and I can't believe, Yeah,
I can't believe with six goals scoredin the opening period that we didn't see
(58:12):
another one in the third, evenjust a little bit of you know,
fight, a little resilience from theOilers. But I didn't watch it.
I can't sit here and say theythey packed it in, but obviously no
offense. I don't know what thethird period shots were. I'd have to
look that up. But have youbeen following what's been going on elsewhere in
the NHL tonight? Elsewhere in theNHL tonight? Off the ice, it
(58:34):
was the lottery, the draft longOh yeah, the black Hawks, Yes,
and the I saw it. Sothe black Hawks got the number one
pick. They did, ye,seen it a lottery as I'm saying that
with air quotes right now, rightexactly, So they got the number one
pick. Not only that, Isaw somebody tweet out that they there have
already been something like two million dollarsworth of ticket sales for next season because
of the excitement with this prospect comingin. Yeah. Well, this is
(58:57):
Connor Badard, who all these reportsare saying is better than McDavid was at
this point, better than Crosby was. They're just straight comparing him to Wayne
Gretzky at this point. I've readsomething today it was like, if an
NHL running back could skate, thatis Connor Badard. How good this can
run back? Yeah, an NFLrunning back? Excuse me? Uh that.
It's just unbelievable how how much hypeis around this kid. And I
(59:19):
hope he delivers, but yeah, just it was also very funny that the
Chicago Blackhawks. Of course, hegoes to an original six team. I
wish I could have bet this ofwhere he was going. I said this
months ago that I thought Chicago wouldsomehow end up with this kid, because
they got to bring that franchise backto life after everything that's happened there.
Hey, one thing I'll have toread about. I'll just have to look
at the game recap or something.I'm just I'm looking at this Golden Knight's
(59:39):
oiler's box score. Why did bothgoalies play on both sides of this game?
Yet Skinner and Campbell basically each playthirty minutes. That makes sense.
Skinner got his you know, bellrung, you know, not not literally
another concussion, but he just gotkilled in this game. But but yeah,
Hill came in and I leave too, I missed that as well.
(01:00:01):
Why he came in. But heplayed well, yeah, obviously, Yeah,
I mean he definitely did twenty fiveout of twenty five. He was
terrific. All right, Well,we're in the closing moments of this show.
Remember the podcast would be available. We will have the full segments with
both ed Low and Lamarca for youto check out and help you with your
(01:00:21):
betting needs, any advice that youmay need going into tomorrow night's game.
Obviously, And I'm nervously excited abouttomorrow night show and hopefully coming on with
the Celtics, like I said, comfortably ahead and we'll have positive things to
react to and putting the Sixers downthree to two, and you know,
(01:00:43):
sees went away from advancing and allof that good stuff. That's what we
want it's what we're looking for.Strike out prop too. By the way,
I know a lot of people didhe I had that. Yep,
he just got to seven. Oh, I thought he was in trouble for
a while. Yep, he justgot that and some great pitch Shoeotani tomorrow
two Adam as well for the Angelstomorrow. Aaron Judge forgot the Red Sox
of course in Atlanta as well. They get back to work. Yep.
(01:01:05):
And Aaron Judge is also coming offthe IL as well and sting Or Tuesday
on FanDuel. Yeah. Yeah,A lot of the money on the Red
Sox over No, no surprise there. I've already placed my bet over nine
and a half runs. That's that'sjust a I don't I don't look at
it, I don't study it.I don't even think about it. I
put money on the Red Sox andwhomever they're playing the over on the runs
total every game, because I sayit all the time. It's not guaranteed,
(01:01:30):
it's not free money, but butI will guarantee that over the course
of the season, you will youabsolutely will come out of having at this
point. Yeah, oh, withouta doubt, I without a doubt.
I would be willing to bet inthere what if they played Ballpark. I
don't know, thirty five forty games, and I mean I bet the Unders
(01:01:50):
hit less than ten times and thenone other play that I'm just kind of
blindly hitting right now. As NickWhalen brought this up last week, Al
Horford over six and a half rebounds. He's been at seven consistently. They
have not lowered this or raised thisline at all. He's at six and
a half again for Tuesday night,so too, what's he at like eight
and a half something like that.Yeah, and he's because he's consistently going
over too. He's been at twentyeight and he's at twenty and a half
(01:02:14):
or points. M that. Well, if we're looking for the smash game,
maybe all right, well we gottago. EJ's telling me if we
don't get going, he's just gonnaturn our mics off. So thanks to
