Speaker 1 (03:24):
Hugh, good morning, Hello.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Good morning, Greg, Good morning, Christopher.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Good to be with you. Thanks you as well.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
We had this discussion all morning about DK metcalf. I
know you're a big, big fan, but the issue at
hand is, while we know why they didn't trade him,
why would they And you pointed out this week on
our station that you'd be creating a hole they don't
currently have, and then we'd be chasing that hole to
try to fill it with the skills he has. Yeah,
but beyond this year, he's contract ends after next year.

(03:51):
I posited here earlier on the show that I don't
see another foundational player worth a multi year deal near
the top of the market or at the top of
the market. Then Dk metcalf, I don't think their current
quarterback warrants one, especially at age thirty five leading league
in interceptions. What say you do you think he commands
one hundred million dollar contract and should be the guy
they build around for the future.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Well, I'll talk about the contract in a second. I
just would say, all right, what does DK do to
the football team? First of all, I describe him as
an explosive X receiver. An X receiver, as you guys know,
is the split in generally away from the opposite formation.
And you say, okay, he's tethered to the line of

(04:33):
scrimmage in most formations, so he has to be good
off the press. There's got to be a vertical element
that opponent's fear. Well, I have access to the NFL's
stat portal and I screenshot. I'll show it to you
can tweet it. The Seattle Seahawks are number one in

(04:54):
the NFL at drawing cover six that is a rolled
double coverage. DK is nine nine percent of the time
the recipient of that rule. He is the guy that
that every time that there's gonna be an elite corner
he has to go against the number one guy started
in the week, Number one Patser Tan, the highest paid

(05:14):
cornerback in the world. Then you had Jalen Ramsey, you
had Gonzales, with the with the the Patriots, you had
uh oh twenty three for the Lions who came over
for uh from Tampa. He's their best guy that you know.
You know, it's just week after week the best guy. Yeah,

(05:35):
Carlton Davis. He's a player now, so week after week
he's drawing the number one guy. The double coverage. If
you're the outside receiver, generally, if you're gonna double, you
roll the covers, uh and play zone safety over the top.
You can play man and man with that, but you
put a safety over the top. If you're an inside
receiver down in the red zone, oftentimes you get a
bracket and in and out bracket in in man coverage.

(05:57):
Some people call that cover seven.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
You know.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
There there was a game where the where Tyler Lockett
had two touchdowns against the Lions YEP at Detroit, and
he beat man coverage on outbreaking routes. Well, if you
look at the coaches tape, the Lions are playing Cover seven,
but a rare version of it where they're actually bracketing X.
They're they're going man and man on everybody else and

(06:22):
two guys. It was just the most simple read of
a coverage you can ever see and two guys on DK. Well,
if you take a safety and you use him as
a bracket, then there's no post safety in the middle
of the field to help the opposite corner. So what
does the opposite corner have to do? He has to
play inside shade because he's most concerned about the post,

(06:43):
so that if he plays inside shade, then he's succopicable
to the out outbreaking round. So here Tyler Lockett gets
two touchdowns on outbreaking routes in the red zone against
Cover seven with DK bracketed, and everybody's going, oh, Tyler
lock Lockett, what a great game. Yeah, he had a
great game and those were big touchdowns. Those are really cool.
But just watch the tape and see the influence. You know,

(07:06):
he's obviously a physical freak that in the running game,
he can, he's, he's he's They put him in a
nasty split, reduces split, he comes down, roots out safeties,
crackbacks on defensive end. You see, Well he gets the
holding every now and then. Yeah, you don't guess what
so do lineman? If you ask him, he's always know
they're not asking Tyler Lockett to make those blocks, you know,

(07:28):
you know, so I would just say his impact is
you know, it's far beyond what you see just when
you throw the football, and and and to your point, Greg,
if you if you let him go, then next draft
we're sitting there saying, what's the Seahawks hires priority? Well,
they need to get an explosive X and then we

(07:50):
just cross our fingers that he's eighty percent or seventy
five percent of DK Metcalf. DK Metcalf's twenty seven years old.
Take care of his body. This guy is Uh, as
I mentioned with the covers cover six propensity, arguably you know,
in the top five most feared receivers in the NFL.
And and so yeah, to me, you don't get better

(08:14):
by by uh by letting superstars go. You draft guys
hoping they become superstars, and you say, well, does he
have the productivity the superstars. He's one of only three
guys in in his five years to be over nine
hundred yards and over five touchdowns. The other two were
Randy Moss and AJ Green. The guy, you know, he's

(08:37):
setting records all over and you know he's young enough.
To me, he's a foundational player. And if the market
says getting to the contract part whatever the market is.
You know what, you got to pay him the market
and it's going to be a lot, and the cap
is going to be going up. As you said, your quarterback,
you still got the Geno on contract for another year.
I mean, I got to look at the cap implications

(08:59):
to see if it But but what's wrong with play
Let let Geno play another year under a contract next year?
I mean that could be an option. I'm not saying
that's the but you know, depending on how things go
with Gino, you might want to replace him. You might
want to let him go but not sign him or
excuse me, have him your quarterback, but not sign him

(09:21):
to a long term like like, they have options, and
but I think one of the options is gonna have
to be they're gonna have to pay market price for
an explosive X receiver as an aside. Gena Smith's cap
number next year when he turns thirty five years old
is thirty eight point five million dollars.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
He's not gonna plan for that. So you could offer
him another year on top of that and give him
up front guaranteed money, essentially a new two year contract
including next year, to change that cap number Hugh.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
When you went back, oh, go ahead, Hugh, Yeah, no,
no please, no, no, go ahead. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:52):
When you went back and watched the film on the defense,
what was your takeaway and some of the things that
they improved in although they did lose the game, did
you notice any improvement and what did you like?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:02):
I thought it was a big improvement. I thought that
the front seven was far more active. I thought that.
I thought Ernest Jones kind of intrigued me against Buffalo.
I've said, Okay, I kind of like this. I thought,
I think he made a big step forward. I thought
Leonard Williams, you know, there were just more movement.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
They they certainly had uh uh the Rams steymied in
many how many times I got to count it. I'm
asking it rhetorically, but I'm gonna get the number for
tomorrow on on the roundtable, the number of times that
Matthew Stafford had to just basically throw the ball away,
just dirted at the feet of a receiver because they
they had they were the Rams were confounded on the pressure,

(10:46):
so they were bringing pressures. They were they were disguising
much more, much more of what we see from Baltimore.
They were doing. There was an aggression there. You know,
I think they made good adjustments uh to uh the outside.
You know, the Rams came in out in the third quarter.
They hit him with three tosses, and they made a
nice adjustment personnel wise, going big nickel the front wise,

(11:10):
getting outside, making sure the GAP's closing off the backside gap.
So just all the things you'd say are fundamental we're
in play. I thought Byron Murphy played pretty well. He
got off some blocks. It just the whole idea of
the wall against Buffalo and against the running game. And
you know, I saw, I saw a wall, and you

(11:32):
know there's a Ram offense that they had just got
pooking the coolback. You frustrated them enough to get Pook
out of there for a half, and they had you know,
they had, you know, lit up the vikings, you know,
ten days before they were coming off rests. All the
reasons in the world to be concerned about a McVeigh
offense that has has many times had their way with
the Seahawk defense. And the McVeigh offense had thirteen points

(11:56):
in sixty minutes.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
So I thought it was.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
A huge leap forward. I was literally depressed on the
Monday when I set my alarm got up four am.
That's the first time I had access to the coaches
tape after the Buffalo game, and I watched the inner
cut the screen, I'm watching the all twenty two and
then adjacent to it and running in tandem is the

(12:19):
end zone. So I'm just watching all the decipher and
I was depressed. I was like, what the hell this
The nothing's working. And then in seven days I was like,
you know, I had to I had to fight being
giddy in a loss because the defense made such a
big vault, and so at any rate, I'm I'm I'm optimistic.

(12:41):
McDonald is a has a proven resume, and I'm just
still of a believer that he's going to make it
happen defensively for this football team.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
I asked McDonald on Monday, Hugh, what have you noticed
in the two games without Metcalf how defenses play you
differently and how much harder it makes. And I had
a feeling he would answer it because he doesn't want
teams to go, oh, there's a way to beat him.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
When they don't have that gap.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
But it's pretty obvious the.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Rams seem to me what I was thinking when I
asked the question, was they got away with playing cover
three in a single high safety quite a bit? What
have you noticed in the Bills and the Rams defending
without Metcalf in the lineup?

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, there are a ton of Cover three.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
I mentioned that on Monday, And you know, and that's
a that's a single high defense that allows free access
by the X receiver. And what I mean by free
access exactly as it sounds. When when we roll coverage
in that cover six that I describe, the corner will
come down and play the zone and then redirect Metcalf.

(13:41):
So he does. He can't just you know, you know,
accelerate like out of a turbo gun into the secondary.
So you have to you redirect him. But when you
redirect him, well eventually the receiver is going to get
beyond that corner. Well that's when you have the safety
over the top to help with any deep stuff. So
so that that's the type of stuff that the Seas

(14:02):
again their offense. I want a lot of times I
interweave in my own mind, I'm inter weaving my thoughts,
but I always feel like facts support an argument because
facts cannot be disputed, only their relevance can be disputed.
So when I present to you things like the Seahawks
are number one in on offense in terms of opponent

(14:27):
use of cover six, that is an objective fact that
cannot be disputed. When I when I say that the
the number one corner for the opponent travels with DK,
that cannot be disputed. So we know that, and then
the rest of it can be subjective. So so yeah,
you see more you meet, you see more cover three,
You see uh, better defenders covering Tyler. You know Tyler

(14:52):
in two games had you know, four to seven for
seventy two yards in two games right now, Jackson Smith
and Jigba, you know that was that was that was
the thing of beauty and hopefully that was like a
vault to what his impact can be. So that if

(15:13):
you compare that with DK, this is what we all envisioned,
right you'd use the number twenty spot on a receiver
when you need offensive line help, that dude better freaking
step forward. And and he finally did. I mentioned on Monday,
I just because I think it's a cool stat there's
been one hundred and fifty six plays in the last

(15:34):
two games without DK that that number is divisible by
fifty two fifty two times three is one fifty six
in the first one hundred and four plays of that
that would be all of the Buffalo game and then
into the second quarter of the ram game. Got me, yep.

(15:54):
So we're breaking that that period of time into three plays.
We're breaking it into three sections, okay, divisible by fifty two.
The first one hundred and four Jackson Smith, it was
six ten on ninety one yards, zero touchdowns and a pick.
Then the next fifty two, got me break him into thirds.

(16:16):
The final third, if we're talking plays Jackson Smith and
jigg is six a ten one hundred and fifty eight yards,
two touchdowns. So in I don't know if it makes
sense to you. To me, it's just kind of cool
that it was so division because the one hundred and
fifth play I mentioned, you break them into three equal section.
The one hundred and fifth play was the forty six

(16:37):
yarder guys to Jackson Smith and Jigba. Yep. So that
was the onset of that was the first play of
the third period. Can we use a hockey term the
first play of the third period of the two game stretch?
I hope I'm making myself clear. You know, Jackson Smith
and jig but just and that. Okay, I'm here, here's
forty six yards and and a beautiful job of of

(16:59):
you know, an underthrown ball using my body to defend,
and you know, catching a contested ball using my body
to shield, like a really big time play by a receiver.
And then that triggered him into as I said, one
hundred and fifty eight yards in just those fifty two plays.
That's cool stuff. And I want to see that on
on the opposite side of DK and let's see what

(17:20):
this offense can do.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
I don't know if I get a chance to ask
you about the Huskies and want too now and see
I don't have a game this week. What gives you
some hope that they can go into Happy Valley and
beat Penn State? Is it Carson Brunner, Is it Will Rogers?
Is it giving the ball more to Coleman? How could
they do it?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Well?

Speaker 3 (17:36):
I think that it would be a muddy game. I
don't know what the weather's like. You know, oftentimes they
have long grass there. But I think that if Penn
State has a challenge, they have pretty good quarterback and
aller who you know, I think it is a you know,
kind of a medium NFL prospect, probably somewhere in the
third to fifth round type of guy, you know, but

(17:57):
he's got experience. This big dude. I just think that
they are missing playmate. They just don't have a lot
of playmakers that out on the edge. The running back, doesn't,
you know, rude Woody Marx, I thought, you know, I
said on Friday, I think this guy, Woody Marx, is
the best running back I have seen, not in the
Boise State uniform. I'm not saying that I see all

(18:20):
the games and see all the running backs, but when
I watched Woody Marx in prior games with the a
USC and I've watched a number, I said, well, it's
just I love that back, Woody Marx, and I'm surprised.
You know, look to me, you had in h and
I know you asked about Penn State, but I'm just
I'm trying to form a picture here. I think that

(18:42):
that SC treats football kind of like seven on seven,
you know. And you know they got they got a
high paid coach, But you know, I don't know why
he didn't utilize Woody Marx more. He of course he
did in the second half. Right, But but Penn State
they they I don't see a running back like that,

(19:03):
and I certainly don't see receivers. And so I think
that the Huskies have been very good defensively, and so
I think that if you're going to win it, it's
probably you know, it could be well, you know, in
a teen's game, you know seven, you know, nineteen seventeen, seventeen, fourteen,
you know, twenty two to seventeen, you know, somewhere in there. Right,

(19:26):
So I think you muddy it up, you got a chance.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
They're gonna have to muddy it themselves. There's four days of.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
No rain in State College, including Saturday, sunny and fifty degrees,
so Saturday nights can be clear in forty.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
It says, okay, well that that environment, it'll be interesting.
You know, they're coming off a loss, right, so how
does that impact them that you know, there's more urgency
if they want to make the playoffs. They can't kick
another one. Certainly in their minds, you know, possibly a
two loss team could get in, but I doubt it,
and certainly that's not what they're thinking. So they're probably

(19:58):
feeling a desperation. And so so it's a must win
for them. Uh you know, maybe some of the pressure's
gone of being undefeated, but uh yeah, that that I
think a really strong defensive performance. Uh you know, the
Huskies have really good corners on the outside, So I

(20:19):
think if you play a heavy box, let the corners
win their matchups, because I think they should given Penn
States receivers. Then then uh and then you stop the
the the run with the heavy box, and and and
and then go from there.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
There's Hugh Millan's recipe for a Washington upset of Penn
States if Carson brun and the Huskies.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Can dood Hugh, Thank you, talk to you tomorrow at
the roundtable. Always good to be with you. Thanks, thank you.
Hugh Millen joining us talking about DK Metcalf.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Of course, he said he wants he thinks he's a
guy foundational player to re sign. But he told you why,
and it's not just because of numbers and when people say, well,
he's not an elite receiver in.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Terms of production.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
He changes how defenses play the Seahawks, and he made
the point that the Seahawks are the most Cover six
defended team in the league. Cover six meeting with a
safety rolled over to basically double team on one side
of the field by playing man on the backside and
the man on the backside is usually where Jackson Smith
and Jigbin Tyler Lockett take advantage. So Hugh Mellon like
no other in the Seattle market, will break down for

(21:20):
you exactly the value of DK Metcalf beyond the numbers,
and how are you going to replace that if you
let him walk after next season?

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Four nine, four to five one to tell him what
doe text?

Speaker 2 (21:30):
One?

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Will we come back? We will read back your text.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
A lot of them have to do with number fourteen
for the Seahawks, eleven thirty five factor fixtion, your chance
to win one thousand dollars from the Emerald Queen Casina
will bring that to you and we'll bring you We
just brought you Mill to you. We'll bring Ian for
Nest to you at eleven forty five. Leading into his
show from twelve to three, all that coming up on
ninety three point three KJRFM.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
Welcome back to the Greg Bells Show with Christopher Kidd
Live on ninety three point three kjr FM. You hear
the music so you know exactly what time it is.
It's time to read back some of your texts. Now,
I'm not gonna lie. The majority of the day it
was all about DK. So let's continue on the DK train.
Trading DK. That didn't happen. A lot of y'all spoke

(22:25):
your voice and you were not happy about that. But
he's here to stay. This is from Keith Miller from
the two five to three. If the Seahawks trade DK,
we will need a welfare check on Hugh's dog.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
I didn't hear do today. No, we did not. I
think you had that taken care of him. I hope it. Well, Yeah,
because that great. That was a great clip. Did you
say that? Oh? I did.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
I haven't saved It's a legendary clip. Even though Hugh said, hey,
can you kill the mic? I didn't know he's going
to immediately jump to it, but he did and it
all worked out. So this is from the two o
six Marcus DK is my favorite player on the team
behind Dixon, but might as well trade him. By the
time the line doesn't suck, he will be on the
dining side of his career.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
I have to disagree with you there, Marcus. I'm sorry, man,
that's ten years from now. Downside I don't know. The
way the Seahawks are planned is from the four two five,
some players need to return some money. Sure, that's fair,

(23:32):
I think that, yeah, but that's just not how it
works obviously.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
From the two six.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Sorry to say, let DK go after next year, they
won't have anybody to get him the ball. So are
you saying now, concause that what you're actually saying? Did
you did you get that regret?

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Well, the point is that they don't have a quarterback
in their contract after twenty twenty five and Gino Beck
I would assume it would appear for a couple of
years as a bridge to the future.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
It would appear.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
And I know that's a whole nother discussion a lot
of people probably aren't excited about.

Speaker 5 (24:04):
From the two oh six, DK is just big but emotional,
which has been negative effect on the team, kind of overrated.
If you really think about it, like really think about it,
we would probably still have the same record without DK.
I disagree with that. I one hundred percent disagree with that.
Greg your thoughts. I'm gonna just go to the next one.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Two six. DK is just big. That's what I just read.
Oh that you read that one, I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (24:32):
The only foundational player I see that starts having is
Byron Murphy DK. There's another taroll owens he causes more
stupid penalties another player we have on the team. Well,
actually I disagree with that one hundred percent. He only
has four penalties this season and their offensive holding, pass
interference and offensive holding. There isn't any dumb hitting players

(24:55):
Puka Nakua did he's not having.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
He hasn't had any of those this season.

Speaker 5 (24:59):
Now that's not to say that he won't get any,
but I think everyone would want a type of player
that has a little a little musted to their to
their game where they don't take any crap, and that's DK,
And this year I think he's done a really good
job in that department. He gets upset, yes, we see
it on TV, but it hasn't negatively impacted the team. Now, sure,

(25:19):
the offensive holding, the pass interferences, that is not good,
but it's not a fifteen yard on sportsmanlike and you
can get ejected from the game. So I don't think
that's an issue from this year. Has it been in
the past.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Yes to the two oh six the previous text, I
agree they probably would have the same record with DK
Metcalf or because of their offensive line they're subvert The
offensive line subverts everything.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
No, it does, but I mean.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
The effect well Q outline two touchdowns for Tyler Lockett
in Detroit that were because of how the Lions were
guarding Metcalf and doubling him on the other side, and
they lost that game forty to twenty nine. So would
they have the same record. Who would they have beaten
because of DK Metcap because Rams, not because Lion. I

(26:09):
think the Rams, they they might have snuck one out.
The changes their coverages. They're not playing cover three. They're
gonna have they sacked you know, Smith's seven.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
They did, But I think his impact just changes the
dynamic of the game.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
It does change the game.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
They were in done a lot of the game and
playing cover three.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
You're not doing that with DK on the field.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
And sure the passwers might get there, but all DK
needs is one slant to go his way and he's
out of there on a blitz because they sent a
lot of pressure as well. So I'm not sure. I
think the Rams might be the only one. So that's
one game out of the way. Four five, Yeah, which
is that huge. That's a that's a big that's one
game difference first place in the division right now, so

(26:51):
I would argue that, yeah, DK, if healthy, I think
they could win that game.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Obviously the Bills that was.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
I thought they were losing that going in with DK,
so without him, it didn't surprise it. But the Rams,
I will say they could beat the Rams with a
healthy DK.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
We'll see though end of the season.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
We will find out on the last week of the year,
first weekend of January, if he came out, I still
want to feel that is.

Speaker 5 (27:13):
Yeah, all he could get banged up again, but we're
late now, so my apologies. It's factor fiction. Your chance
to win one thousand dollars from m O Queen Casino.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
We're set to go.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Glad you're with us.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
It's your shot at our weekly thousand bucks and the
ten thousand dollars grand prize.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
It's factor fiction. Yeah to you.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
But Queen Casino, betting capital of the Northwest, make the
beautiful New equc Sports booky your home.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
All football season long.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
Fact Door Fiction is on Sports Radio ninety three point
three kJ R.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
FM, FREGUZ switching up on that, I am switching up.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Yeah, that's the NFL music.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
I was gonna go college, and you know which colleges
are going to go to the Army team, the Pride
and Dream, but their quarterback is still questioning the nation's
leader in touchdowns, who without playing last week, completely changed
my factor fiction result. So before I go with Army
in North Texas and tell you what's gonna happen, I'm
gonna wait till Friday and see what Brice and daily

(28:16):
status is as the Army quarterback for that game in Denton,
Texas on Saturday afternoon. They'll get there, but we're gonna
wait to do that on Friday. So today we are
going to the NFL. And I look at this the
odds in the NFL this week, and one stood out
to me above all others, like, well, wait a minute,
come on, this should be but the.

Speaker 1 (28:37):
Bills of the Colts.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
The Colts are starting seventy year old Joe Flacco again
and this time it's against Josh Allen and that Bills
team we just saw in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. Well,
you haven't noticed, the Bills have run up thirty four,
thirty one and thirty the last three games, and before
that thirty four thirty one and forty seven. The Ravens

(28:59):
are the only ones hold him under twenty this year.
Joe Flacco against Josh Allen in a dome with no
weather in Indianapolis on Sunday. Come on, the line is
minus four Buffalo. That should be a runaway bills by
double digits. Give me the four points, Give me the
bills at the Colts. Take the bills minus of four

(29:22):
and watch the route over the Colts on Sunday. If
you're a greed, text fact to four nine four or
five one. If you disagree, text fiction the four nine
four to five one. You have twelve minutes, after which
time your next chance will be two thirty five with
Ian Furness and Jessmon McIntyre. Bill's minus four at Joe Flacco's. Yeah,
I give me that all day. I mean, I don't

(29:44):
usually think of an NFL There one.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
Gotta be a reason why the line is that, right,
I went, wait a minute, four, Maybe maybe Josh Allen
stinks when he plays indoors or something, no for real,
that he might be like zero to six or something crazy,
and that's why the line is where it's at.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
And then see and you laugh. Is these games they'll
get you.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
I know because I can go back and look at
my picks, like the Jets over some battle Jets say, Jets,
Jets over the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
Are you kidding me? I'm taking Bill's minus four of
the Cults. If you agreed, text fact to four nine,
four or five one. If you disagree, text fiction to
four nine five five one. That means that Bills will
win by five or more points. And if you agree
with that, you text fact. If you think the Colts
will hold them to a win of fewer than four
points or the Colts went out right, you text fiction
to four nine, four or five one. And then you
go have your head examined, because I can't understand why

(30:32):
Josh Allen would be Joe Flacco would lose to Joe
Flacco anywhere. Now you get in factor fiction. Jessmine in
the pit just told me this. We have our winner
from last week. The thousand dollars winner is Steve from Tacoma.
He's a professional tuck driver. He listens to our station
every day from six am to seven pm every day,

(30:54):
and he entered I think twenty times last week. And he,
Jessmone said, when he she called to and form him
and he had won one thousand dollars. He said, finally,
damn waiting for as much as he's entered and listened.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
So Steve and Tacoma, this one's for you, man.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Get your chance at another thousand dollars right here with
Bill's minus four at the colts. If you greet Steve
and everybody else, texts fact to four nine four to
five one. If you disagree, text fiction four nine four
to five one. Congratulations to Steve and Tacoma, our latest
winner of one thousand dollars from the Emerald Queen Casino,
the betting capital of the Northwest.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Right there in Tacoma. Into two five to three up.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Next to Shoot, I keep saying to Chew Millon because
I've been texting back and forth since our segment. Up
next is Ian for Ness joining us from the thirty
two Bar and Grills Cracking headquarters up in Northgate. He
joins the Talk, Pucks and more on ninety three point
three he JRFM. Welcome back to the Greg Best Show

(31:52):
with Christopher Kidd rolls on here on ninety three point
three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
We still have a couple of minutes.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Tell them we're new text signed four nine four to
five one Factor fiction your chance to win one thousand
dollars from the Emerald Queen Casino. It took the Bills
minus the four points at the Colts thinking they're gonna
win by five or more points off your agree text
fact the four nine four to five one. If you
disagree and you think the Colts are either gonna win
or Bills will win by any more than three points
text fiction the four nine four five one. Joining us

(32:19):
now live from North Gate from the King County ice Plex,
thirty two Bar and Grill. It's mister Krackin on our
show and for an US.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
Hello, sir, I am far from mister crack Mister Kracken's
actually like twenty feet from me. Mister Lywiki we like
to call him as well. But yeah, yes, yeah, big
big meeting like lots of lots of suits. Oh you
know what's cool here? They don't wear suits.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Yes, I have noticed that, very casual.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
They just get work done. So yeah, I'm mister Lywiki,
mister Lapmann, mister the Bonus, the brain Trust that is,
frankly not just hockey, bigger picture stuff meeting here at
thirty two Bar and Grill. Just a few from me.
So I'll go listen and see what they're talking about.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
I bet I have a couple of guesses.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
Actually, yeah, you probably do, probably do what probably do?

Speaker 1 (33:11):
What?

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (33:12):
What'd you take improvement? And then the fact they scored
three goals?

Speaker 3 (33:15):
I guess.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
But last night, yeah, there, listen, it's there's some there's
some issues on what those are. I'm not sure. I
mean you you know, I heard you play the sound
earlier from Dan Biles my post game last night. We
had on the on the show and yeah, man, he's
you can tell he's frustrated with some people. Uh. They
made a statement yesterday by sitting a guy that was

(33:37):
an All Star forum last year in Oliver, New York. Strand.
I think my guess is someone else will sit this
week or this Friday. Maybe we'll see I Burkowski. Yeah,
he's an interesting one, man. I I you got a score. Yeah,
Like there's a lot of numbers underlying numbers that are
favorable for him, but you have to score. And right

(34:01):
now they have one line that's carrying this team offensively
and a defenseman so I mean Montour and the Beniers,
Everly mccannlon are carrying these guys outside of that, they're
not getting a lot from others, and they have to. Tolvinan's
been just been a ghost, you know. Burakowski certainly has
been there as well. Chandlers teams has got to be better.

(34:24):
They're a weird team in the sense it's feast or
fam and they score six or they score none, you know,
I mean last night obviously they scored three, but and
last night was weird. They just got no breaks at all.
That that was. That was the strangest game I've ever seen.
It was every and then and let me say, right,
call on the goal for people that saw it last night,

(34:45):
it was the right call in the end. How it
was executed and how it was how the officials handled
it was screwed up. But I mean, there's kind of
a double jeopardy there. They rule in your favor, right,
and then they go back and change their mind, and
then you get penalized for that. Like, I don't that's
we're in America here, right, I don't know if you

(35:06):
know that we're America. Double jeopardy in my book. Yeah,
I mean, that's that's double jeopardy in my book. But
and then they they get within one and they're pressing
and feel I'm like, I think they might get this one.
And Colorado clears it and it not only isn't icing,
but it hits the referee. It bounces right to rant

(35:30):
and then it buries it and thanks for coming, Like
what do you really like? You guys haven't done enough
to affect the game already? That's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Let me ask you an inside hockey thing on the
last goal at the buzzer?

Speaker 4 (35:42):
Right?

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Is that ill will stuff? Is that the crack and will?

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Remember?

Speaker 4 (35:46):
Is that?

Speaker 6 (35:46):
Not?

Speaker 4 (35:47):
No? Because who let me see? I gotta I'd have
to look and see.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
Hang on it, I mean it was. I was listening
to Is in my car at the time. So he
had a disgusted sentine because they just lost. But yeah,
and then he immediately said they play again.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Right before Christmas.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
Covial Anco score. It's the second of the year. Middle
stat and Manson got the assist. That's middle Staff is
a top line guy. But Manson and covial Anca. If
it would have been ranting in from McKinnon, you know,
and Lekanon, then yeah, you don't like in that in
that situation with it was a power play, right, in
that situation, if you put your number one unit out there,

(36:26):
then all hell would have broken loose. But that wasn't
the case. It was a I mean, covid Anko's got
a second of the year. I can I can live
with that one a little bit. So yeah, and you
know what me, Oh, I know, That's why I asked. Hey,
I'm all for gunit it up. I'm all for retribution.
It's the great it's the greatest sport in the world
because it's a one sport where you can go after
guys and and get it back. You can. You can

(36:47):
get a piece of action if you need to.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
That's why I thought i'd ask, because if you thought so,
you'd be all over it.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
Yeah, I have no problem with that song.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
What do you have from there? Today?

Speaker 4 (36:55):
We're busy, we're hoping to hear from Ron Francis. We're
waiting to see We're lots of meetings today after a
one and four road trip, so we'll hopefully the GM. Yeah,
he was there off and on. He had to he
stopped by. They had some Hockey Hall of Fame stuff
on Tuesday, so he went to that. But but he

(37:17):
was with the team for the most part. Of the
road trip. He he kind of pops in and out
depending on where they're at. He you know, especially Eastern
Cana's pergract can go scout the Ontario League and scout
the Quebec League and stuff. So, uh, he's probably doing
a lot of that. He's been busy. And then but yeah,
he's We're gonna hopefully get him on. We'll see. Uh,
but we got a crazy one o'clock hour. We're gonna

(37:37):
check in with Steve Pelozolo as normal. Jake Dickard, we
just found out, is gonna join us at at one
thirty and we'll talk to wazu's head football coach at
one thirty. And then two o'clock, my man Gary Parrish
is gonna pop on his first visit of the year.
Won't be his first regular visit that will start after
the first of the year. But we'll talk some college hoops.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
We got to talk about the team over in Eastern Washington.
And I'm not talking about the Cooks god Zaga is
that is a wagon. I know it's just one game,
but what they did to Baylor was borderline criminal. Yeah,
like that was not right. That was not right. So
we'll talk to him about college hoops getting underway as well.
Washington with the win, get on, Danny Sprinkle.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Too real real quick? Do you think WSC resigns? Dickerd
and get some stag.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
I guess we'll ask him that today.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
You're gonna ask him. Okay, we'll listen.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
You know what, what do you plan on being here
next year? He'll he'll give me some different answer, but
I'm gonna ask him. Sure, absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
We'll look forward to that.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
In the one o'clock game. I think they've reached out
to him, so I'm gonna find out.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Yeah, there you go. Yeah, we'll listen for that. Make
some news there. I'll do one o'clock hour.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
Thank you sir.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
We'll be listening from twelve to three and Ferness from
the King County ice Plex Cracking Headquarters up in North
Gates his show from there today with Jessmin McIntyre, Greg Bell,
the News, Shad Being and Christopher Gain. Thank you for listening.
Be well, have empathy. That's pretty important these days. I
just want to throw that out there.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Thanks for listening.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
We'll be back tomorrow from ten to noon on ninety
three point three k j RFM.
