Speaker 1 (00:01):
Good morning, captain. Oh captain, how are you doing this?
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm doing fantastic. How have you been?
Speaker 1 (00:07):
I've been good man. I mean, last couple of weeks
has been an intense between the family. We all got
slaughtered with that influenza going on. And I supposed to
say that because I'm the supplement guy, but hey, it
still happens, and it was brutal.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
It's not fun. Thank goodness, you're doing better, and Tim,
I've got it. By the way, it's of course talking
with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place online find your
Healthy Place dot com. Let's find your Healthy Place dot com.
You can find them of course online or you can
chat with the well It's consultant right in the store
west side of Madison, Fitchburg and sun Prairie. Today is
a Wednesday. That means Tim will be hanging out to
(00:42):
Fitchburg location from today from ten until five. Stop on
in say hello. Another way to connect with the Healthy
Place on social media, whether you're on Facebook or Instagram, YouTube,
all great resources there for the Healthy Place of course
Instagram right at find your underscore Healthy Place again. They're
on Facebook and social media yeah as well. Real quick, Tim,
you mentioned uh, you know, they're we're in that time here.
(01:04):
Things are definitely going around, and it's as with life,
and you've got you've got the kiddo's and of.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Course they just you know, kids carry every imaginable germ.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yes, they are, and it's as a matter of fact,
some of it's good for them to good for them
to to go through. But as as we get older,
we don't we don't like those germs. And uh, there
are things you can do to help fortify your your immunity, aren't.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
There, Yes, you know. And and if if you find
yourself in the depths of despair with a virus like
this influence that's been going on or that Nora virus,
I mean, it's really beating people up this year, more
so than regular And if you find yourself in the
midst of that, there really are things you can do,
you know, I mean, do not underestimate the power of
sleep and get some deep rest if you are able.
(01:56):
A lot of times you know you're not able to,
you know, as a as a parent, are running around, busy,
working a little too much. But if you can getting
that sleep is so important more the better. Staying hydrated
basic hydration goes such a long way. Get electrolytes in
your system, drink water, stay hydrated, and even when you're
(02:17):
not hungry, it's really hard to get yourself to eat,
but eat some nutritionally dense foods. It goes a long
way to how you feel and the strength in your
system and the strength in your body and mind as
you try to navigate all the things you have to
still do even though you're feeling terrible. And then in
the supplement space, there's some just God sends that are
(02:39):
so helpful to know about. You know. Sign you Care
when your sinuses are just blowing up. Sign You Care
is by a company Terry Naturally. We sell it on
our website and our stores. It's a eucalyptus soft gel
and you can bite that sucker open and you know,
beware it's kind of strong, but that's what I like
to do. Or you can swallow it and you know,
then it starts helping. About twenty minutes you can start
feeling it opening up your sinuses. Bronchial Clear is another
(03:04):
product that has been a lifesaver for many helps get
the especially when you're not productive with your coughs. The
Bronchio Clear helps you become more productive, and that has
some time and some different herbs in there, and obviously
immune boosters. You know, Elderberry is possibly my favorite immune
booster a ton of science, ton of reason believes that
(03:27):
it shortens the duration and severity of the virus. So
you can do you know, upwards of you know, ten
thousand milligrams a day at Elderberry. You're not going to
overdose on you know, Elderberry. So you know, Elderberry Boom
is our top seller. That's lively vitamin co and that
has a lot of your you know, vitamin D and
(03:47):
your zinc and Elderberry of course in a stronger standardized form.
So that's a good go to and I could, I
could kind of keep going. But the point is like
and also use us as a resource. You know, you're
in the depth of your family, your kids, yourself, call
or email or pop into the store. Like our team
is like mobilized around this topic because it has been
(04:10):
an onslaught this year. It's been really bad. So we've
been helping a lot of people. And what happens over
the years is you just get better at you know, hey,
what are your symptoms? You know, what are you experiencing
what's the worst kind of part right now for you
or for a loved one, and then knowing in the
stores our wellness consultants having the knowledge from you know,
fifteen years of experience with the community here just trying
(04:33):
that which is recommended by you know, integrative medical doctors
for example, or integrative nurse practitioners or license natural paths.
You know, you just learn and we seep it all
in here at the Healthy Place, and then you start
to recommend those products to the community and then you
get to see, like ay, a couple of weeks later,
they come back in how did that work? Oh, it
(04:54):
worked well, or it didn't work well. And we keep
getting better from that information and that data. So it's
been it's been cool to work together as a community
like that. So i'd encourage you if you're in that
place right now, like, just follow some of those tips.
It'll help you.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Out great day to get into the healthy Place. For
so many reasons.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Obviously getting in meeting with the wellness consultants, working with them,
it's always a great, great benefit. It's also fantastic if

Twenty five dollars gift card just as a thank you
that can be used on a website or you can
pop in the store and use that twenty five bucks.
It's uh. You know, questions lead to answers, and when
folks are also listening here hearing some of those questions,
hearing some of those answers adds great value to our community.
So now's a good time to.
Speaker 3 (06:12):

Healthy Place dot com. We'll get some of the emails
in just a moment, but real quick.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Tim.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
I cannot watch like the evening news or anything when
I get home without seeing a commercial.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
For weight loss injections. And there are just like.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
All this stuff out there, and you hear all the
stories and new stuff, and people are.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Kind of like, oh, that's the.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
There are there are ways, and for good reason, folks
want to lose weight. We want to be our healthiest.
There are really really good options for folks out there
that are looking, you know, tried and true, really effective
things out there that folks can be doing to help
lose weight, aren't there.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Yeah, you might be referring to like the semiglue tide drugs,
and you know there's some concerns with that. Gastro Intestinal
is kind of like the most common so like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea,
delayed stomach emptying, So that's like slowing digestion down, which
can lead to prolonged issues like bloating discomfort. But then
there's issues like inflammation around the pancreas that we're concerned about,
(07:24):
gallbladder issues, mental health and mood changes, muscle and lean
muscle and lean, mass loss, hair loss. I mean, there's
kind of a kidney problems. There's sort of like a
larger list of concerns around those drugs. And I get it.
You know, they work as far as weight loss goes,
and they help with weight and I get that, And
(07:45):
it's like at what cost so to the community. You know,
for me, I'm not trying to convince people really not
to do pharmaceutical drugs, Like that's not really my game.
My game is education, Like I want people to be
aware of the side effects, aware of what the long
term side effects, our short term side effects are, and
then then then learn about the natural side just a
little bit. Have somebody on your team. It might be
(08:07):
a wellness consultant at the Healthy Place. It might be
your chiropractor, acupuncturists. Maybe you have more of an integrative
doctor who thinks a little bit more naturally as well
just to balance there of education so that you can
make a decision that's best for your family and if
best for you, and if that's the sea glue tide drugs,
then hey, you know, I get it. And then then
(08:28):
they how can we support you with some of the
deficiencies that are created or some of the negatives that
are created. So just caring about your health, realizing it's
a gift. Fighting for your health, same like with your life,
Like it's a gift and it's worth fighting for your life.
So when it comes to like ozembic and sea glue
tide drugs, we have natural alternatives that are working for people.
(08:48):
And Hintonia the herb that has been heavily studied and
prescribed in Europe for years decades. Actually it's sourced out
of a Central America, South America. It balances a one
sea levels really well. So if you're taking some of
the ozebic or some of gluetide for diabetes purposes, you
know A one sea levels, you can balance that naturally
(09:10):
with supplements. It's pretty straightforward. And then nutrients like green
coffee bean extract and red raspberry leaf that we have
a product called Metaboggo it's our top product for sort
of metabolism, appetite control, sugar, carb cravings, a sense of
fullness so that your portion size is maintained a little bit.
(09:34):
That's called metaboggo and people will see up pound or
two a month with that, So you know, it's slow going,
but it's natural and it works. It's consistent, and then
basic meal replacement goes a long way. You know, these
have been advertised for decades, and you know we'll sell
quite a bit of a combination of lively greens. So
(09:55):
it's a greens powder that has like fifty superfoods in
there alk your system with a ton of vegetable content
and fruit content, so you get that antioxid and orec value.
Most people are not getting the vegetable content that they need,
so then their pH levels are all out of whack
and they're more acidic than alkaline, and you kind of
want to be more alkaline so that it actually tastes
(10:17):
good too, And folks are mixing that in with like
a way isolate or some sort of you know, plant
based protein, and you can get ones these days that
taste very good, and so we sample those every day
in the stores. Next time you're in ask for a sample.
Our team will probably bring up a sample to you
because we've been energized around this topic because people do
want to feel better, and they do want to lose weight,
(10:41):
and they do want to not go down the diabetes train,
and they do want to stay away from medication a
lot of the times with the side effects. And people
don't like being stuck on something. So you know, whether
it's the weight loss or diabetes or whatever, is something
that's a challenge to you. There's natural alternatives and natural
(11:03):
education around that topic that we know about because it's
all we do all day every day and our training
every two weeks, we're like digging into these topics together
as a full team on like we call it a
systems meeting because it's all about finding a consistent, systematic
way to educate our communities. So I would invite you
into that process. And so whether yeah, you're interested in
(11:26):
natural alternatives like ozembic semaglue, tide or other drugs, and
or you're facing health challenges, like we want to be
on your team and we're there for that and we
get to help on those topics every day.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
It's really a great opportunity to get in today and
start that conversation.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Meet with the wellness consultant.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Whether you're at the West Side or the sun Prairie
location or the Fitchburg location of the Healthy Place, there

As we talk with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place.
(12:40):
This is asked the experts with the Healthy Place. Right here,
I'm thirteen ten do wleu I b A eight forty
nine thirteen ten double UiB A hanging out with Tim
O'Brien of course k Tim comes to us from the
Healthy Place online find your Healthy Place dot com.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
That's fine.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Your Healthy Place dot com great website resource to learn
more about.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
The Healthy Place.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
You can also start a conversation with the wellness consultant
in order online it finds your Healthy Place dot com
even better. What a great day to get on in,
say lo start that journey, whether it's West Side location,
sun Prey or Fitchburg location of the Healthy Place. Don't
forget Tim hangs out. It's a Wednesday at Theburg location
from ten until five. So what a great day to
(13:22):
get on in. And and Tim, I know obviously you
love get getting into the store and spending time with folks.
And I point this out every month or so. It
runs through the entire operation. Everybody at the Healthy Place
really loves what they do. I mean, like are super
duper helpful. And that's one of the you know that
passion and it can't be faked.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
It is a.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Genuine love of in a rewarding job that these folks have,
isn't it.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
It's been really it's been really cool because you know,
Becky and I both have stories with our moms growing up,
you know, health, chronic conditions, cancer, disease, et cetera. And
we got to experience and growing up how natural alternatives
really helped both of our mothers in this example, and
so that produced some passion within the two of us.
(14:09):
So when we started The Healthy Place twenty ten, you know,
you know, I'm sitting behind that counter like ready to
change the world. You know, I was just a youngster
fifteen years ago. I'm forty now, but you know, you know,
just that excitement of, hey, I happen to know that
this helps people with pain, you know a lot of
the time, not always, but hey, a lot of the time.
I know this product over here helps people with digestive issues,
(14:32):
like a lot of the time. Not all the time,
but a lot of the time. And so you start
to gain this education around nutrition and around supplements that
can impact a human life. And it's always been profound
to me what the right nutrients inside the right individual
because everybody's so different what that right nutrient can do
(14:53):
for their life, Like whether it's energy chronic fatigue like
people are so tired, or whether it's mental clarity and
focus because people are you know, bogged down with brain fog,
or whether it's immune system issues that are just chronic,
like you can build up your immune systems offense defense.
So all of these realities when it comes to nutrition.
(15:16):
And so then we started hiring people because we started growing.
So then Becky and I had to get together and
be like, how are we going to train and educate
and attract the right people to care for our community.
Because Becky and I have a belief of like touch
their heart before you ask for their hand, Like we
don't really want to do commission because we don't want
(15:37):
a distraction. We want to care about you know, souls
over sales, like things like that are intrinsic to our
mission and our vision. And so when you start to
invite a team into that, there needs to be aligned drawn,
There needs to be a standardization, There needs to be
core values, There needs to be a team that is
operating in that sense and in that method. And so
(16:01):
I'm so proud of our training program that they have
to go through for three months before they can work
with customers. I'm so proud of the meetings that we
have bi weekly. If there is ever anything that's falling
below that threshold, we need to be pretty aggressive when
it comes to uprooting and getting rid of and something
negative when it comes to serving our community because the
(16:25):
mission and the call is pretty high, and there's a
lot of suffering going on in Dane County, and there's
a lot of people not living quality of life, and
there's a lot of folks that are heavily medicated that
don't really want to be but don't have really anyone
in their circle to sort of educate them. And you know,
a lot of people moving through the system in a
(16:48):
way where you know, we have some of the best
doctors and pharmacists and surgeons in the world, and we
need this natural education, this holistic education, this integration of
medical and natural. Like doctors, medical doctors and naturopaths used
to sit at the same table and talk these things through,
you know, and that's that's over the years that's sort
(17:09):
of been lost in some different ways. So the team
that we're building at the Healthy Place is passionate, like
you need to have some passion in order to work
at the Healthy Place. You just do, you know, and
it's like you need some passion, and you need some integrity,
and you need some education, and you need some people
skills to be able to ket. So it's those four things.
(17:29):
And when you have, when you're guarding those four things,
you know as Becky and I as the owner and
the operating managers, et cetera, then you attract that, You
start to you start to build that, and it naturally
helps push out those that are not operating in those
four It's just like operating in our specific core values.
It's not like we're right and everyone else is wrong.
It's our core values are our core values. It's the
(17:51):
THHP way, the Healthy Place way. And if that doesn't
fit for one of our team, then hey, let's release
you back into the market so you can go find something,
a business or a job that you love that that
the core values fit your hand like a glove. And
so thanks for noticing that, because I am so proud
of our team. I'm so proud of our mission, I'm
so proud of our vision.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
I think I've told this story before. It's been about
a year or two. I was in I was meeting.
It was a consustation with both my doctor and my pharmacist,
and we were the three of us were just kind
of going over. They had me bring in any type
of supplement or anything else that I was taking, and
I had I had the multiviem lively vitamin CO and
the pharmacist looked at the bottle and then she's like
(18:33):
reading it and she hands back to me. She says,
that's really good stuff. Oh yeah, I think I've told
you that story before. But she's like she's like going
over and she's like, yeah, that's the like like it's
like a big like thumbs up, like that.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Is awesome because they yeah, and that's.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Because there's different forms of new teams.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
Yeah, well Tim's been Tim's been telling me this, and
I one of the things that I trust Tim Mo
than anybody in this realm. So I'm like, oh, yeah,
I knew that, but it was really cool to get
that get that that second thing and real quick. By
the way, speaking of multi vitamins, that is one of
those areas I think one of the one of the
(19:12):
there's always really cool bits of information I learned from you.
But one of the things that always stands out to me,
just specifically about multi vitamin is you should you you
had said it's been a couple of years too, you
said you should notice something from it. And I think
for a lot of folks, if they're buying those big
box brand multivitamins, they just take them as routine, don't
see any results.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
It's just something that they.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Do that that's not acceptable. You really want to make
sure that.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Yeah, to me, it should be like it should Okay,
So I mean, now I'm going to get off. You know,
some of these big names, you know, they're they're heat
compressed with twenty thousand pounds of pressure per square inch.
So it's just these little stones going through your body.
And if your body can break it down, which takes
a bit of a strong gut to be able to
break some of these down. I talk to plumbers, you know.
I brought it up over years and you can see
(19:58):
it on the other side of the toilet. You still
have c for centrum on it, you know, like you Okay,
So then you have the heat compression and if you
can break it down, which is a percentage not everybody
can break that hard tablet down. Now you have the
ingredients inside. Okay, So now nutrients like calcium carbonate. Calcium
carbonate is what would be in those big box brands,
(20:20):
and that's from ground up fish bones, and it's a
huge molecule. Your body doesn't absorb it well. Magnesium oxide,
that's what's in there. It doesn't absorb well. It's like
a hair above placebo as far as the impact to
your system. So just those two examples, calcium hydroxy appetite
and magnesium bysclycinate are profoundly better absorbed into your system,
(20:44):
creating more bone density, minimizing bone fractures, helping with digestion,
and mental acuity like benefits from nutrition, you know. And
so just those two, I could list forty more examples
inside of a quality multib item. So then the better brands,
which I'm not saying lively, Vitamin co is the only one.
(21:05):
There's a number of very good brands. They will use
the better forms of ingredients that you absorb. So it's
how it's the delivery system is really important. You know,
hard heat can pre tablet versus a capsule that your
body can break down easily. And then the forms of
the ingredients inside really important nonabsorbable versus highly bioavailable, and
(21:29):
then there's the amount of those nutrients. So that's number three.
So a lot of the times when we hear something
in the news like fish oil is anti heart disease,
you know, like Kirkcumin anti cancer, you'll hear these tidbits
of like, oh, that sounds good, or a fish oil
for add ADHD. These studies that are done are typically
(21:53):
using a therapeutic amount of a nutrient. So then you
have folks taking a supplement from maybe a big box store,
but it's either the delivery system is not so good,
the form's not so good, and the amount is not
so good. So all three of those are essential for
creating an experience for the user, whether it's a multi
(22:13):
vitamin or a pain product or some sort of you know,
I could make the list go on, so thank you
for pointing that out. You should feel an energy boost
from your multi vitamin, and if you're not, you're probably
not getting a very good quality one. You should see
more mental clarity and focus. You should feel a stress
(22:35):
relief from the strong the complex that would be in
a quality multivitamin, and you should see hair, skin, nail
benefits and sometimes those Yeah.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
It's as we talk about this stuff, Tim, I think
it's important for folks to realize that. And really, if
you've thought about or you've tried maybe some other multivitamins,
make sure you get into the healthy place. Talk with
the Wells consultant, learn more about what you're putting in
your body. And of course it's a great day to
start that journey, start that conversation. Where it's westside of Madison,
Fitchburg or sun Prairie location. Don't forget h Fitchburg. Tim O'Brien.
