Tim before we get to emails, calls and some other

Speaker 1 (02:15):
One.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Really, I feel like we should have led right away
with this Double Points Day. Let's talk about about that,
and let's talk about not only what Double Points Day
is and for let's also talk though about folks and
how they can get enrolled in that.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, yeah, great, great question.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
So we've always done reward points, and you know, I'm
kind of like a you know, a fiend for those
like rewards that come from credit cards or you know,
my debit card. Getting that percentage back It can you know,
a couple percent even can add up over time. So
a while back, Becky and I were like, well, let's
let's do the reward points inside of our stores and
so you can get two to four percent cash back

(02:56):
with our rewards program just every day. And when you
go online you enroll it just automatically enrolls you and
you get five hundred points for free. And in stores
you just sign up at the register so you can
get set up pretty easily and you get some reward points.
There's all sorts of like bonuses for sharing things on
social media or for giving us your birthday so that

(03:18):
we can send you birthday wishes. Every year with a
gift card, you get reward points for a bunch of
different things. And on the second Wednesday of each month
we are doing this is brand new, first time we've
done it double Rewards Day. So today and every second
Wednesday of the month you will do a double rewards Day.

(03:40):
So I would encourage you to stop on out because
that helps you get four to eight percent cash back
on your rewards. And the variance in rewards just depends
like what tier you're at, so I won't get too
much in the weeds.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
But point is you.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Get rewards with us. We're real grateful for the community
working with us. There's one hundred places people can buy
their SLF copment's from and Becky and I are trying
to build something beautiful in Dane County and so our
community that supports us. These are just another little way
that we can say thank you through our Double Rewards Day.
So come on stop by the Fitchburg store and get
double points and give you give me a high five.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
So many great reasons to get on into the Healthy
Place again. Tim's going to be at the Fitchburg location
from ten until five today, of course, always available with
the Wells Consultants West sid of Madison, Fitchburg and Sun Prairie.
Also online at find your Healthy Place dot com. That's
fined your Healthy Place dot com. Great day. Also, if
you've got a question, get you right on the air
phone number six eight three two one thirteen ten. That's

(04:35):
six oh eight to three two one thirteen ten. We'll
get you on the here with Tim O'Brien from the
Healthy Place. Another way to reach Tim is via email
Tim at find your Healthy Place dot com. That's Tim
Tim at find your Healthy Place dot com. And Caleb
writes in to Caleb emailed us say over the past year,
I've developed symptoms like tremors and movement challenges similar to

(04:56):
Parkinson's disease. My doctor is doing more tests to find
out if there's underlying cause. In the meantime, I'd like
to explore any herbs or nutrients that might help with
these symptoms. What could you recommend in that email from
Caleb sounds kind of scary.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yeah, I mean, definitely stay connected with your medical professional.
That is kind of scary. Parkinson's is a beast. I
did a health talk a while back for a Parkinson's group,
and just hearing their stories of what they go through
and what they kind of experienced day to day was
like brutal. So definitely have a heart for this kind

(05:32):
of battle. You know, it's a nerve issue, it's a
neurogenesis conversation, like neuron production. So there's a few things
that I'll always recommend that are just supportive, strengthening and helpful.
Nutrients like kurcumin protect the brain from oxidative stress and
stimulate that neurogenesis that new neuron creation. Glued to Thione

(05:54):
is a crucial antiaccidant that is depleted whenever there's any
sort of chronic disease, so it supports cellular protection and detoxification.
So those are a couple big ones that always come
to mind from a nutrient like vitamin mineral standpoint, These
nutrients are very often deficient with these types of nerve issues, tremors.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Vitamin B six.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Make sure you get a natural form of B six
and actually, you know, if you're listening, you take a
B vitamin. Always look for a bioactive form of B vitamins.
You know, synthetics are no good, like B six is
helpful for tremors as an example, and prooxide hydrochloride is
a synthetic approach to that. So you want natural bioactive

(06:39):
approach to B vitamins. So proxyfi phosphate is the natural
form of B six, So I know that's another language sometimes,
but yeah, you want to find these bioactive forms, and
that's kind of why it's nice to have somebody on
your team that knows the difference between all of these
vitamins to make sure you're getting one that absorbs. So
Vitamin B six big for tremors, Magnesium huge, get a

(07:01):
biscolycinate form that is way more absorbable than magnesium oxide zinc.
You know, again, keylated minerals are wise, so you know,
and if you're listening, you can shoot an email tim
at find your Healthy Place dot com. I can send information,
studies links back to you on these and then the

(07:22):
very big one that I like anyone to know that's
dealing with like nerve problems. So kleble if you're listening
others battling tremors or nerve related issues. Aurlopoic acid has
been used in Germany for like fifty years in their
medical system for treating chronic nerve diseases, whether it's type

(07:43):
two diabetes, whether there's tremors, numbness, tingling, really anything to
do with nerve health. Rlopoic acid is the universal antioxidant,
which just means it's both water fat soluble.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Tons of benefits there.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I've seen folks with tremors minimize those tremors taking six
hundred milligrams twice a day. So yeah, again, you know
a lot of information here. Shoot me an email tim
at find your Healthy Place dot com. I can shoot
you some info back. Better yet, stop in one of
our stores ask some questions. It's shocking how many in
our community have struggles like this, So it's a common

(08:18):
conversation for our wellness consultant. So within our training, we've
had to get really sharp with this conversation, so you
can trust our wellness consultant team.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
And then a third option to try to get.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
You off your butt and get some help is submit
a ticket online. You can submit a ticket at our
website find your Healthy Place dot com. Like, Hey, I
have this nerve issue, can you send me a couple
of recommendations and we'll just send that to you within
a twenty four hour period. So the idea is to
arm you, you know, get your tool belt filled with
some options. And it doesn't mean you always have to
go buy it or do it or take it, but

(08:50):
it's very good for people, you know, like Caleb here
to know what's out there that can help you from
a natural alternative side of things. So for you to
get some information that'll empower you.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Great email Caleb, thank you for reaching out. Do for
you can always email Tim at find your Healthy Place
dot com. That's Tim tim at find your Healthy Place
dot com. Even better, it's a great day to get
on into any one of the locations of the Healthy Place,
whether it's the West side of Madison, fitchburger Son, prey Wells,
consultants at all three locations. You can learn more online
Find your Healthy Place dot com. That's find your Healthy

(09:23):
Place dot com. Don't forget On Wednesdays, Tim is at
the Fitchburg location from ten until five.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Stop on.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
I'll give him a high five. I know he would
love to see you. Still got time for Still got
time for your question? At six oh eight three two
one thirteen ten. At six eight three two one thirteen ten,
we'll talk more with Tim. We'll talk also, by the way,
spe of getting into the Healthy Place locations. Got a
hanker in for a snack, Well, well they've got you
covered at the Healthy Place. We'll talk with Tim about
that next as ask the experts with the Healthy Place

(09:50):
continues right here on thirteen ten Double u ib ight
eight forty five thirteen ten. Do wiba and ask the experts.
Hanging out with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place of
course online find your Healthy Place dot com. That's find
your Healthy Place dot com. Great day to get into
any one of the three Healthy Place locations, whether it's
West Side of Madison, Fitchburg, or sun Prairie. Great day

(10:12):
to get into the Fitchburg location. Tim's there from ten
until five today and while you're there, grab and go
and tim. I know, folks have absolutely loved this option
at the Healthy Place.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah, it's been cool, dude.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
I mean the goal was like just thinking about our
community in general, like how can we add value to
them and knowing busyness of lives like people stopping at
say a gas station, grabbing a soda, grabbing a Snickers bar.
You know, you know you're gonna feel good on that
for about four minutes and then you sort of crash
and feel like trash. But you're in a hurry and
you just needed something to kind of get you through.
So we have three, you know, Madison locations. We're thinking like, okay,

(10:46):
you know we're not going to be in everybody's kind
of line of site or whatever, but so on Prairie
west side of Madison, Fitchburg, Like even if we could
get in people's like weekly sort of targets or driving patterns.
We have a grab and go section that has all
your clean snacks, you know, Aloha bars, Scout bars, chomps,
beef sticks, you know, sell forty fruit bars, nut bars,

(11:10):
natural clean energy drinks like Jocko Go or protein mulk
by Jocko Guayaki, you'r ramante, you know these cleaner you know,
electrolyte drinks, quest bars, Nosala, kombucha drinks, et cetera. Like
people are coming in Sean, they're getting like, you know,
cases of these things to get them through the week,
and then they have these clean options that they can

(11:31):
reach for. And the cool part is we reduce the
price by thirty to fifty percent. So when you're comparing
to other clean, healthy options in the city, you'll find
that the exact same products, you know, like a beef stick,
will be a dollar cheaper than the competition. And we
just did that. We just priced things where it was
right at our costs. So our benefit is foot traffic.

(11:51):
But the benefit to the community is they're paying literally
thirty to fifty percent compared to any other grocery store
option in and the county. And the reason we did
that again is because clean, healthy snacks and living can
be so darn expensive. We wanted to make it more
attainable for people to eat and drink in a healthy manner.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
It tastes, you know, we talk about too, is taste good?
Is I know that that's you know, talk about things
like chomped beef sticks and things like these are delicious
so good.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Yeah, I mean life changing. I just sleep next to
a chomped beef stick every night. It's funny.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
So get on in today. I'd love to see let's
talk to Tim. I do want to talk with folks.
You know, we talk with you each week just about
about helping people and some of the things that goes
on at the Healthy Place. And I think sometimes people
forget the story and it's it's an amazing story of
how the Healthy Place began where you guys are right
now and really that overall mission and those core values,

(12:50):
that that kind of power you guys every single day.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Thank you man.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
I mean it's it's I love the story, uh, because
I got to just watch it happen. So my mom
fought through cancer, you know I read cancer when I
was a little guy. And she was recommended to go
to a health food store. So this is like where
it all started for me. She went to a privately
owned health food store kind of like ours, you know,
the Healthy Place, and somebody took her by the hand

(13:15):
and spent hours kind of like we do at the
Healthy Place, educating her on natural alternatives that could help
with the side effects from the chemotherapy, the radiation, you know,
things like chemo brain and sleep problems, stress, anxiety, depression,
all that stuff that can hit somebody that's battling cancer.
And through that experience, you know, is totally transformative to her.

(13:39):
So she, you know, her life has changed through that example,
and so much to the point that she went and
got a job at that health food store.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
As a manager.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
So us kids grew up sort of going to work
with mom because we were homeschooled. We do our studies
in the back room, and I just watched observed like
these people coming in getting help from my mom, coming
back some months later saying hey, thank you Tania, like
that that helped me. That moved the needle on my health,
like my quality of life, my suffering, et cetera. And

(14:09):
so then fast forward, you know, my teen years were
pretty dark, and I sort of didn't have a quality
of life or didn't really believe in myself. I sort
of didn't like who I was, and I sort of
had a God experience when I was eighteen nineteen years old,
after September eleventh, because that whole thing kind of shook
my world and shook my life kind of like it

(14:29):
did millions of people, And out of that came this
sort of passion to like, Okay, if my life has value,
then maybe other people's life has value too. So that,
combined with my mom's story, is where this passion sort
of came from to not only educate people on natural
alternatives that work, but also educate around reminding people that

(14:52):
their life is a gift, that their health is a
gift that they're both worth fighting for. And people forget
that every single day. I mean I forget all the time,
like oh yeah, yeah, man, I got a double this
is worth fighting for. So and then I meet you know, Becky,
the most beautiful lady ever known. You know, I think
she's super cute. I marry or This is two thousand.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
And nine, and her mom has.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
This very cool health story that got her into the
natural alternative space. So we're in, like Flynn and we
open The Healthy Place twenty ten with this sort of
like passion to make a difference. You know, like life
is short. How can we actually do something that's going
to make a difference that's like legacy, you know, something
that's impactful, long lasting for our community. And so the

(15:38):
Healthy Place was born. So now it's like it's continued
to grow.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
You know.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
We have three stores now, we have a little warehouse
in Fitchburg, and we have this passion of like really
moving the needle on ending suffering in Dane County, like
increasing quality of life in Dane County, like life expectancy,
total pharmaceutical drug intake in Dane County is like the
focus and we're not like the more I do this, Sean,

(16:03):
the more I'm like, I can't do this alone. So
what we're wanting to do is like link arms, you
know with the dozens of other businesses in Dane County
that are literally moving the needle on people's quality of
life and overall level of suffering. Like we want to
link arms with the medical community, you know, the naturopathic community, chiropractors, acupunctuous,

(16:29):
Like we can't do this alone, but together we can
really move the needle. Because I'll be honest, dude, I've
gotten frustrated. Fifteen years almost we've been opened now at
the Healthy Place, and I'm like, we've helped over one
hundred thousand unique people. I am thrilled with that gratitude
is through the moon and I'm frustrated because there's still
so much suffering, so much pharmaceutical drugs that you know,

(16:51):
are causing side effects. People don't know what to do,
where to go. They feel stuck in a corner, they
feel trapped, you know, surgeries round and round in a circle,
more and more pharmaceutical drugs, more more symptoms, and people
know there's something off, but they don't know what to do.
So we, along with the other businesses in Madison that
are changing lives, we want to educate, impact, empower, you know,

(17:12):
as many people as we can every single day.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
It's what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
It's like why I want if you're you know, in
the Fitchburgh area, stop buy you have a question around
your health. I'll be at the Fitchburg store ten to
five today. Our wellness consultants are standing by it or
other stores. Like the whole idea is how do we
impact people come into our stores. There are at a
fork in the road, and it might be a small thing.
You know, I have a virus. I'm just trying to

(17:38):
kick it. What natural alternatives can help sort of minimize
the duration and severity of this virus. You know that
might be an honest question somebody else like Caleb, Hey,
I have tremors. You know what's a natural alternative that
can can help minimize these tremors, you know, or people
battling real chronic conditions asthma, you know, Crohn's disease, ibsesive,

(18:00):
you know, mental battles like PTSD, depression. You know. Over
the years, Sean, you start to learn what works in
our community and what doesn't work, so it doesn't make
our team like doctors or pharmacists. I always like to
say we have some of the best in the world
in Dane County. We don't need to be those medical
professionals are standing by as wellness consultants. We know nutrition,

(18:24):
we know supplements, we know brands good better and best
that are going to absorb better.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
We know what's.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Working for this common condition and that common condition. You
just start to get to improve and you know what
you're recommending because it's working, and we get to see
that play out again and again.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Through our you know, Google reviews.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
If I'm ever down, I just like to go through
our Google reviews and like read all the testimonies, like
the difference we're making in Dane County and we want
to ten x that. So that's the offering to the community.
The invitation to the community is stop in one of
our stores, ask questions, make it a way of life
that you're thinking about natural alternatives before you go on

(19:05):
pharmaceutical drugs or get the surgery. It doesn't mean that
drugs and surgeries are bad. You all their life saving.
I mean they're totally impactful. It's more like, do you
have the information you need to make the best decision
for you.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
One of the things that's always been very impressive to
me as well as you know, we get get a
chance to talk with each and every week and you
share your passion for this. The other thing that I'm
always impressed with is how it runs throughout the healthy places.
You and Becky set a standard and everybody that you
meet in the stores, and even when you walk in
the store, you can tell these are places that people

(19:39):
care about. They're very nice, they're very well laid out,
and the team those wellness consultants they carry that passion too.
And I think for folks and getting a chance to
talk with people that go to you know, whether that's
the West Side of Fitchburg or Sun prairie location. They
much like their relationship with their doctor or the pharmacists,
their wellness consultant, their first name based. These are people

(20:01):
that they count on and they trust and they've seen
these results. And it's always been so impressive with me
to see that relationship and see how that just carries
throughout the entire the entire Thank you help.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
I mean, that's that's such a cool thing to hear
from you because that's like totally the goal.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
You know, we have a whole set of.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Core values and we have a GWC tool like do
they get it?

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Do they want it?

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Do they have capacity for it? Becky and I manage
our team because our team is literally the representation and
the ones who hold the key to educate our community.
So we hire for integrity, we hire for passion, and
you can train communication skills, you can train education around

(20:41):
supplements and then integrity. Passion though comes first, you know,
And I always love to teach the team, Hey, touch
their heart before you ask for their hand, like we
want to ask questions. Don't do commission at the healthy
place because I just think it's a distraction, you know.
We want to recommend that which is best for the community,
based on their finances, based on their situation and what

(21:04):
their sort of life looks like.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
So yeah, I would I would invite you. I'd say
stop out.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
At the Fitchburg store today because I'll be there. If
I haven't met You'd love to shake your hand. If
I have haven't seen you for a little while, I
love to give you a high five. If you're curious
on like a health consultation, you know, stop in one
of our stores again Fitchburg. I'll be there, love to
consult on a problem you've been facing. You know, a
lot of people Sean are dealing with conditions that they
kind of just are okay. They're like, okay, I just

(21:30):
have this condition, and they, you know, maybe take drugs
for it, or maybe they just sort of deal with
the pain the suffering connected to it, and a lot
of times they just don't know that there's a natural
alternative that's simple that they can take that has often
profound impacts on that specific condition.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
And we get to see that every day.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
That's why today is a great day to get on
into the healthy place, and we talk too about that
wellness consultants. I've got to assume seeing the results is
probably huge motivator for them every day as well.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Well.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
It's a great day to get into the Westside Madison,
Fitchburg or Sun Prairie location. Don't forget. Tim is at
the Fitchburg location today is Wednesday from ten until five.
