Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh my goodness, each and every week.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Somehow you outdo yourself, mister Sewan Preeble, and the warm
welcome is wonderful compared to sometimes dirty diapers.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Scoopy diapers.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
You know sometimes hey I forgot oh man. Anyway, thank
you for the worst warm welcome.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
It's good to see how you met you For folks
that don't know you are physically in studios, yes, fistbal
you bros.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
The physical fis you know, fistball right there? Yeah, that
was done right there.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
Well, it's good to see you in person, obviously, I
get to see I stop out visit, and I hope
a lot of folks get a chance to stop on
into the Healthy Place, whether it's westside Fitchburger's Sun Prairie
location of the Healthy Place. I do stop out pretty
routinely on Wednesdays for a really good reason, tim What
goes on at the Fitchburg location of the Healthy perces.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
They're ten to five every Wednesday, and I'm sort of
excited about it each week because, you know, the kids
this morning they were like, hey, so, so what.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Do you do on Wednesdays?
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Like you talk about it differently than the rest of
the weekend. I was like, you know, it's my community day, yes,
and they're what does that mean? And I'm like, well,
I was out of the community for like five years
and I was in the office with my head in
the books, just like.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
How can I bring more impact?
Speaker 2 (01:11):
And figured thing and we went in ten directions from
twenty twenty to twenty twenty four, and then we got
super laser focused on in twenty twenty four to be like, hey,
back to the community here, you know, we sort of wow.
We went you know, statewide and countrywide and this, and
that was exciting. We had some wins, and then we're
like I started losing the energy. I started losing the fire,
(01:32):
losing the passion. I started praying, like, well, what what's changed?
And I didn't even realize I had stepped out of
the community. So it was like a sort of like
a big aha moment for me. And that led to
Becky and I creating a plane to Win strategy for
Dane County and the Healthy Place, which I want to
get into the foundational five after this so people have
a clear flight path. I'm like, what supplement is the
(01:54):
next one I should do just to give some pathway
and clarity. But back to Commune Unity Wednesdays. For me,
it's inviting the community into the Fitchburg store from ten
to five. It's saying hey, I'll be there, and I'm
just gonna be there why. Like, I don't know all
the reasons, but I know ninety percent of communications nonverbal
and something about being physically with you here today, Sean
(02:16):
is a good example of the power of presence and
the power of like looking a customer in the eye
and being like, hey, how's the family been? Yeah, and
the responses I'm getting because I know thousands of these
customers because twenty ten to twenty twenty, for those that
don't know, I was just in the stores every hour
it was open. You know. That was just six days
a week, close on Sundays, and that was just my
(02:36):
life and our family's life, and we loved it. And
these people that are coming back, it's like I haven't
seen a lot of them for five years. And I
started in October this Community Wednesday thing, so it's been almost.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
A year now.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
These thousands of people I've seen, you know, hundreds of
them have stories that I'm like, oh my goodness, you know,
and we just stopped for a half an hour and
talk about what they've been through on their health journey, Sean,
and it's like, you know, it's like the four horsemen
kind of conversations. It's like cancer, you know, like oh
so and so had cancer or or many of these
(03:09):
battles that I was battling with them from say like
twenty fifteen to twenty twenty. You know, you build relationships
with the community because we have supplements that you know,
we're not doctors, we're not pharmacists, like we partner with
some of the best in the world here in Madison.
We're natural alternative, right. We know what works when it
comes to supplements for our community, and that's what we
invite people into as a resource, and that's what we
provide education around. So when you come into our stores,
(03:31):
you can bring up a condition and without a commission
guided salesperson telling you what to do, because we don't
do commission, they'll ask some questions to make sure they
have clarity and then guide you towards a supplement that works.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
And you talk about that experience, and I hope folks
get a chance to get in, whether they've been to
the healthy Place before or have never been there before,
get on I will tell you when you get into
the healthy place, obviously start that conversation well wellness consultant,
but take a look around, look at the other folks
in there and see what they're experiencing. You will see,
as you mentioned, Tim, one of the great things about
(04:03):
getting into the stores for you each week is is
the non verbal part.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
And you will see people.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, like well, like when you stop out there, you
kind of hang out and I often, you know, I
come give you a high five, and I'm like, hey,
I'll be right over there minutes whatever, And you.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Just kind of have observed over the years like what
goes on.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yeah, And I do invite the community to come into
our stores and like just be a fly on the wall,
like watch a consultation on unfold, Like watch the very
beginning to the very end. Because we're quite strategic when
it comes to our sales team, we call them wellness
consultants because we don't do a commission focus and we
have four thousand products and there's just not like one
(04:39):
product that's like like like always going to work for everyone.
So it needs to you need to create an activity
system where you invite the customer into it, right and
it's all about education. It's got to be about education
because it's about the customer being the CEO of their
own health. Like we're not trying to find customer's healthy
place for what we think that is. We're trying to
(05:00):
find your Healthy Place dot com. Like that's why we
call it that. As I named that, it's about the uh,
the customer, and so you know, yeah, thanks for bringing
that up.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
That's and that's and that's it's great when you mentioned
that too, about about the what the priority of the
healthy places.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
It's your healthy place. It's a place for you to go.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
And as we talk with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy
Place mentioned getting on in Great Day, whether it's Westside, Fitchburger,
Sun Prairie location of the Healthy Place, don't forget as well.
They are there for you online find your Healthy Place
dot com. That's find your Healthy Place dot com. You
can also find them on Facebook and social media follow
them for example, if you're on Instagram at find your
Underscore Healthy Place, you will find them there. And Timmy
(05:39):
mentioned the foundational five and I want to ask you
a little bit about that, but real quick before we
get to that. Yeah, you and I actually need somebody
to like to like keep us on task because I
get I get, I get excited about things.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
You came in.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
You've got your shaker bottom. I said, what are you
drinking this morning? I have to ask you about about
what does Tim O'Brien have.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
And the microphone that people, yes, you get this morning.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
It looks like it looks tasty, it smells tasty.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Yeah. So the Lively Greens is our top selling product
in our stories right now. We started sampling it out
I think in November December of last year, quickly became
our top selling product. And you just never know with
a new product. Sean, It's like, you knew greens are
good for me.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
I first.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
You know, we created it for my kids first, and
they were taste testing it two years ago and they're like,
I would drink this with water, yeah, is what they said.
And you know, at that time, it was like ten
eight six or something like that. I always lose track
of the years. Becky's better at that, and they like
the taste. I'm like, if I can get this into
my kids with water because it has all these fruits too,
(06:45):
these antioxidants that make it taste better. Yeah, naturally sweetened,
so there's no artificials, no official colorings, et cetera. And
it also has adaptagen formula so it brings stress down
for the kids, helps with mood, so it's great for kids,
great for adults. I feel the energy, I feel the
mental clarity boost, and I feel the stress reduction. And
(07:05):
then when I'm consistent, I see all that. It has
a digestive blend in it, so you just feel cleaner
digestive wise, so that I drink every day and then
I throw energy. It's called the Fatigue to Fantastic. Terry
Lambroan's like my hero in this industry. He has a
company up in Green Bay. So his product Fatigue to Fantastic.
It's an energy revitalizer and it's aminos amino acids WILL
(07:28):
that's made the heavy lifters in the product or amino
acids that help specific ones that help build your body's
natural ability to create energy. Again, so like what happens
is your mitochondria starts to get burned out, So that's
like the furnace, the powerhousele your cell. You have your
creb cycle, which is your body's ability to take food
and translate that into energy.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
You have atp cellular energy.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
You know you have all these Your adrenal glands are
like ninety percent responsible for when people say, oh, I'm
so tired, Like they almost always have adrenal fatigue or
chronic adrenal fatigue. And like my chiropractor the other day
was was like, hey, she literally adjusted.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
By my kidney. And I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
That because I had been through a stressful life experience
this last month, and so I was getting adjusted last
week and it actually hurt when she touched at the
adrenal glands. I'm like, she's like, oh, have you been
through something stressful? And Becky laughed because she happened to
be with me and and we had been and it
was just I didn't know the adrenal gland can literally
(08:33):
hurt when you go through a lot of stress, and
so people anyway, it's it's it's so adaptogenic herbs in
this Dreams powder, it really helps. So that's what I'm drinking,
and that's in part why I have so much energy.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
That is and then and I know folks have sampled
the greens Powder and Rave reviews as well at the
Healthy Place. Great day to get on in whether it's
West Side so prayer Fitchburg.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Don't forget.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Tim is at the Fitchburg location Wednesdays, that's day from
ten until five. Big news coming up in the new year.
Will talk with him about that. But first I do
want to ask you mention the foundational five. Let's kind
of break down what those are and we'll start with
the first element to the foundational five.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
First, it helps to give people a flight path. There's
everyone is selling supplements.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
It's a sea.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Of supplements, and everyone says they're the best, and everyone
says there's quality. So first things first, get a source
that you can trust. Okay, So in Dane County here,
it's like ho y Apothecarry, It's Willie Street, it's community Pharmacy,
it's the healthy place, right And I might be missing one,
so forgive me if I am. But those are trustworthy
sources for supplements, Like I can't stress that enough. Like
(09:39):
mass market is not trustworthy for supplements. And when you
get into Internet world, even Amazon, when you're purchasing brands
that you know and love, the fraud on those brands
has been skyrocketing. You know, Like I have to understand
that space, so I know that that's happening Lively Vitamin
Co is a brand we own. We sell it on
(09:59):
it Amazon because there's people in Alaska that don't have
a health food store buy them. You need to be
able to work with Amazon. We can't always ship them directly,
et cetera. So I know the Amazon space, Becky and
I's passion is Dane County. So first it's like build
up your local community with where you buy supplement.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Secondly, it's going to be a win win.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
I promise all those stores are priced real reasonably and
so you can get competitive pricing. It like is close
to Amazon. The Healthy Place always beats Amazon twenty percent on.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Average during our sales.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Okay, moving on sales pitch, stepping back, that's really important
to understand, So buy your supplements from trustworthy resources point
one point two. It's really helpful Sean for people to
have a flight path, like what are the five most
important supplements that you can put in your body on
a daily basis. And obviously you know we were in
a meeting yesterday with our wellness consultants because we meet
(10:54):
every two weeks to talk through strategy and how we
can communicate and educate and impact communicate better with our
community and build their health. It's like a strategy and
coming back to like what are the five most important
supplements that you can take? And there's nuances was my
earlier point. So it's not always this directive, but in
(11:15):
general you can write this down. Number one is multivitamin,
and I'll just give you like quick shots on each
and there's way more multi vitamin because we're all nutritionally
deficient in one way or another period. Most multivitamins are garbage,
so get a good quality one. Number two, Omega three
is from fish. It's the most study nutrient on the planet,
second only to vitamin D. Taken Omega three from fish.
(11:36):
If you're vegan, flax, soil, some sort of essentral fatty
acid because every cell is surrounded with essentral fatty acid,
so it'll nourish strength in every system. Heart health, brain
health are the big ones. Number three anti inflammatory. You've
heard me talk a lot about that. Inflammation is the
root of everything bad, all degenerative disease. Those four horsemen
I talked about inflammations like the root of degenerative disease.
(11:57):
You want to clean your body of inflammation every day.
You want to clean anti inflammatory diet which means lower sugar,
et cetera. You want a supplement to clean your body
of inflammation every day. It's really helpful. Number Number four probiotic.
You're good and bad bacteria always in a race. Whichever
one is winning decides the state and health of the
rest of your body. Eighty percent of immune system is
(12:19):
in your gut, you know, coffin cold season, Hey say
no more. Number five antioxidants. Why because free radical damage,
oxiative stress browning. It's like a floodgate browning from the
inside out, oxidative stress.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Your organs.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Take a bite of an apple turns brown. That's what's
happening internally to externally, and we can slow that process
through epigenetics. Antioxidants is one of the topics for that.
So that's the Foundational five. We call it the F five. Now,
now there's different there's different potencies and price points and
(12:51):
amounts that you can take of each of these each day.
So what I guide people with is like, hey, if
you're coming in foundation foundational five, like our team will
provide just be honest about that, like, hey, I'm kind
of interested. Tim was talking about the Fundational five, but
I'm a little bit concerned about the price, like I
teach people. Zig Ziggler has one of my favorite quotes,
and I'll just end the Foundational five with this is
(13:13):
He's like, money's not everything, but it's second to oxygen.
And so when you're talking about somebody's health journey in
our store, I always remind our team that the financial
component to our health is very important and talk about
that adrenal fatigue. If you're finance, if you're spending too
much on supplements, then it's not gonna be good for you. Right.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
So like that's why we don't do commission, because it's not.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
About getting you to do more. It's about education and
finding what's best for you. You're the CEO of your own health.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
And now you mentioned the Foundational five as well, and
the importance say each of them. I'm really doing something
very vital for your body and for your for your
overall health. That's a reinforces and reflects the importance of
getting into the healthy place and having that conversation again,
whether it's West Side, Fitchburger, Sun Prairie location, don't forget
today's Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
That means talking about a high five time can come.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
By just for a high five. Some people are like, you.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Know, yeah, well I haven't seen for a while.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
They're like, I literally just came by to say hi.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
I was like, you're thank you high fives.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Yeah, it's a great day to get on in again
to the Fitchburg location where Tim is from ten until
five on Wednesdays. Never forget as well well as consultants
at three locate all three locations as well as online
Find your Healthy Place dot com. That's find your Healthy
Place dot com. We'll continue our conversation with Tim O'Brien
from the Healthy Place. We'll talk about that big news
coming up in the new year. I'll touch a little
bit more on on the foundational five. All of that
(14:29):
next as Ask the Experts with the Healthy Place continues
right here on thirteen.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Ten double UiB I.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
Eight fifty one thirteen ten Wi b A and Ask
the Experts, brought to you by the Healthy Place Online
Find your Healthy Place dot com. Let's find your Healthy
Place dot com. Three locations wes Sona, Madison, Fitchburg, Sun
Prairie so online finds your Healthy Place dot com. Let's
find your Healthy Place dot com. And Tim, a lot
of us have technology. I know you've got one of
these two little smart rings that kind of tell your things. Yeah,
(14:58):
I always, I always this quote. Somebody once said, you
can't manage what you can't measure, and the same is
true for our health. And and I know one of
the things that that's become very important to you is
is helping folks.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Understand their their literally their numbers.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Right.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yeah, yeah, well dude, it's like that's been the missing
like component at the healthy place for me and my
team is like, you can make the best recommendations in
the world. You can try to inspire people, you can educate,
give all this free literature out like to anyone that
will take it, read it, hand it out. You know,
we give out thousands of sheets every month sean, just
(15:37):
to educate. Booklets that that are costly to make that
we send out and people I do want people to
know those are a free resource. Come on in, take
stacks of it. We have people Sean that will like
bring this around to like nursing homes and like educate
at different like waiting rooms and just leave this information
all around, like on the Foundational five, like I was
(15:57):
talking about an information and et cetera.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
So I have.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Forgotten your original point. I got into the education side
and I have floated away.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Bring us back home. It's the importance of as we
talk about.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
I know that one of the things we look towards
the new year, you're gonna be looking putting something.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Yeah, So data in general, right yees? What kind of data?
Speaker 2 (16:17):
So as a basic data point in your life, you
need some sort of regular testing to know like nineteen
percent of people have a terminal illness inside of them
and they literally don't know it. And there is a soft,
hard plaque scenario on your heart that if you have
I always forget which what one Like you're you're like
(16:40):
probably gonna have a heart attack in the next ten years. Yeah,
And if it's the other like you're probably not. And
so there's these mega points, you know. Or another one
I like to bring up is people come in all
the time with different issues into the stores.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
They're like what supplement can I take?
Speaker 2 (16:56):
You know, and we're sort of like prayerfully, you know,
we look at cation why like Okay, what are what
what's working? You know, we might talk on our hangouts
thread of like hay team one of those consultants like
what's working for this for the community, and we share
information like that. However, like that person could have a
mega mega deficiency and some vitamin or some mineral that's
(17:22):
literally causing all the problems. And so then we do
our best right and our success rates really kind of cool.
And we have a return policy because we want people
to bring stuff back if it doesn't work, because it's
you know, it all adds up. And so to have data,
whether it's an oral ring, that's kind of managing and
letting you know about your sleep or your stress levels
(17:42):
or the Apple Watch, you know, that's like letting you
know how many steps. Like Becky's life has literally been
changed this year by being real strategic with ten thousand
steps a day, you know, and she's a mom of five, right,
and so like how do you get these steps in?
So it caused her to get creative with the kids
and get these steps in and that was transformative for
(18:06):
her health. So it's like asking the question what tools
are out there? And we don't sell these tools, so
we're not like making money. And so I'm in CGM,
like continuous glucose monitor. I have one on my left arm.
I go back and forth every two weeks to the
left and to the right, and I didn't, you know,
ever really have I've always been trying to gain weight,
Like it's hard for me to put weight on. I've
(18:26):
always been the little guy, and like I remember being
ninety one pounds as a freshman in high school and
the gym, and I'm just like, oh, my gosh, I can.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Help you with that weight.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
So that's always been a goal of mine.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
So I wouldn't I wouldn't even blink at like eating
carbs high carbs on like an empty stomach, because I
didn't really understand how glucose worked and everything. So I
was actually quite eating, quite unhealthy for some years in
regards to carbs, starches, and glucose without even knowing it.
So I was killing myself from the inside out because
I'd open floodgates called called the oxidative stress and inflammation,
(19:03):
which we've talked about. And so the CGM has been like, oh,
we'll stop doing that, or put a heck a lot
of peanut, butter, avocado or cream, cheese, some sort of
fat so that you don't get this massive glucose spike.
And it's these little education points that are literally changing
lives that we have to get out there, which means
we have to have to have to get out there,
(19:25):
you know. And we're opening a clinic, you know, January fifth,
and we haven't announced that yet, so don't tell anybody.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
I just said that that's a secret. Yeah, we'll get
but I cannot weigh.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
It's functional medicine doctors, and it'll be licensed natural paths,
and it'll be nurse practitioners, and we'll have a medical
overseeing doctor because the state likes to see, hey, are
we up to snuff And we want to be up
to snuff too and respected in the professional medical community.
And we want to be an integrative clinic, which means
both both the medical side and the natural side will
sit down every Friday at the same table and be like, hey,
(19:55):
how can we sort of analyze this from both sides,
because Sean, you know, natural paths and medical doctors used
to sit at the same table.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
And it's it's interesting when you when you talk about
the progress and and how the Healthy Places has grown
over the years, and you know, you're never resting on
on where you where you are and what you've done.
And I know, for folks that have listened to this program,
folks that have had a chance to get to know
you over the years.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
You have a big mission.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
This is this is something for you that is that
is much bigger than I think a lot of people realize.
And as you keep that ball rolling and keep things going,
I will say for individuals, for folks that listen to
the program, and if you are listening to the show
this morning, it all starts that first step.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
And I know I like to say this.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Take tiny steps, just make tiny chain, tiny health changes.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Yes, today is that day to get on into the
healthy place again. If you're in the neighbory neighborhood of
the Fitchburg location, it's Wednesday. I mean, Tim's hanging out
from ten until five, Get on in, get my stop
five or a.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
High five, or a consult.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
You know, if you've been like, hey, I have this condition,
I have this Hey I'd like to live more energetic,
or I have a loved one that does stop by
today Fitchburg store ten to five. Let's spend a few
minutes chatting on like what's working for the community. Then
you have that in your back pocket. Don't feel like
you gotta buy anything, right, gain information, education from our team,
from our resources, take it, take as much as you
(21:12):
possibly can. Give it to everyone, and the business side
takes care of itself.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
It's really cool.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
It's a great day to get on in love to
see again Fitzburg West Side some paylocation, Healthy Place online
Find your healthyplace dot com.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
Tim, It's always shown you are the man.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Come on, don't you even go there?
Speaker 3 (21:27):
You're the man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. I gotta
pump your tires.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Come Vicky mccanna, she comes your way next right here
thirteen ten WIBA.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Take care, Tim, Take care.
