Speaker 1 (00:01):
End of August already, end of drummer. How are you.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm I'm doing well, my friend. I am ready for
I'm ready for the school year to kick off. I
know at the O'Brien household, the school year brings more
action at the pre bowl household a little less. I know,
your kiddo's, your wife, and you homeschool and that's that's
that's commendable, man. I give you guys a lot of

(00:26):
credit for doing that. What a great way to what
a great way to do it. And we're going to
talk about, of course, with back to school, some really
great stuff that's going on at the Healthy Place. We'll
talk with Tim about that in just a moment. Speaking
up the Healthy Place, it's always a fantastic day to
stop on. End of course, it's a Wednesday as well
if you're in the Fitchburg area, an extra special day

(00:47):
to get into the Fitchburg location of the Healthy Place.
Of course, wellness consultants standing by, whether it's West side
of Madison, Fitchburg and Sun Prairie Online finds your Healthy
Place dot com that's fined your Healthy Place dot com,
Facebook and social media that includes Instagram at find your
Underscore Healthy Place. You can find them there and their
YouTube channel as well, very very popular. Speaking of things

(01:09):
also that are very very popular, the opportunity to call
in and get on the air. We'd love to have
you join us this morning. If you've got a question
for Tim. All I gotta do is pick up phone
dial six soh eight three two one thirteen ten. That's
six oh eight three two one thirteen ten. We will
get you right on the air with Tim O'Brien from
the Healthy Place. And as we were talking to Tim
right there, we get sometimes these things that connect to

(01:34):
our our internet, and it bumped Tim off and we'll
try and get him reconnected. In just a moment. I
mentioned it mentioned that, I mentioned, of course the Healthy
Place locations, and I mentioned special day to get into
the Fitchburg location. And it's a really good day to
do that because Tim O'Brien is in the Fitchburg location.

(01:57):
On Wednesdays, you can actually put a face with the
Void Savannah a chance to meet with Tim. It's always entertaining,
always engaging, and we have some issues this morning. Tim.
Our internet is doing some weird stuff. I apologize. Are
you able to hear me right now? I am oh, perfect. Yeah,
for some reason, something weird is going on with our
internet this morning. Well, it's great to talk with you.

(02:18):
Let's talk about some of the stuff going on with
the back to school stuff. I know wise we were
talking there a lot of families getting ready for the
kiddos to get back to school, and you at the
Healthy Place and your team. You guys are doing some
fantastic stuff there, aren't you.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Oh yeah, we have been gearing up for the last
few weeks here on the back to school front. You know,
we have five kiddo's. Like you mentioned, Becky is gracious
enough to homescore our kids. I don't know she does
it either. I am her cheerleader overall, trying to support
her in that. And you know, immune systems, move off
and overall development are sort of three focus points when

(02:56):
it comes to taking care of our kids, and our
teenagers and college kids and you know whatever age you are,
going back to school is a big thing. So we
want to strengthen immune system. So I always like to
shout out to families around Dane County. Stop into the stores,
send emails, hit our link on our website to submit
like questions and get some answers, get some clarity around

(03:19):
what supplements are most effective for our kiddos and our
whole back to school conversation. You can be therapeutic or
you can just have light maintenance around immune system. And
we've seen this, you know, over the years. My daughter's
turning thirteen here. I can't believe it. And these nutraceuticals work.
We've had seasons where we've been consistent and seasons where

(03:40):
we have not been consistent.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
And I love.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
When some of our community will reach out to Becky
on social media because she replies to messages all the time.
There she's so much, so much just equity in raising
these kids, and she's been able to try so many
different things because we own a supplement store, you know,
hundreds of brands, and there's always companies reaching out to us,

(04:05):
educating us on what they do and how they do it.
So we've been able to try so many different methods
over these years with our kiddos. So we've just figured
out some things that work better than others, and then
of course we bring that to the community and as
our wellness consultant team, I like to call my army
of wellness consultants like spartans because we're constantly you know,

(04:27):
sharpening each other's swords and overall knowledge as we're bringing
that to our community. You know, when you have enough
conversations around boosting immune systems with kiddos, you know, say
you hit ten thousandth conversation, you know, you develop and
you get sharper, and you get better and you get
stronger and you get more effective over those years. And
then of course we share all that data with other

(04:49):
wellness consultants as we grow together. So immune system mood health,
you know, mood health is something that we've seen firsthand
with our kids that behavioral struggles and challenges when it
comes to you know, staying calm or behaving themselves or
just not being on that that cortisol drip that's sort

(05:09):
of like man, you touch it and then it explodes.
Like there's ways to balance cortisol levels that are natural,
you know, fish oils for example, if you get the
EPA DHA at a higher level, higher amount, it does
wonders for kiddo mood health. And there's products like Calm
Kids that will help balance that cortisol level, calm the

(05:30):
mind with amino acids, and parents will come to us
all the time for like, hey, you know, I'm kind
of doing some research here. I'd prefer not to go
down the pharmaceutical drug route with ADD medications or ADHD medications.
Is there anything naturally that's been working for the community.
And the answer is yes. And you know, I'm not
saying it's one hundred percent of the time, it'll work

(05:50):
the same for everybody. That's not not how supplements work,
not really how drugs work either, and but there are
approaches that are wildly and consist successful that we love
to share. So if you're in any of those categories.
And then the sort of healthy development side of things,
we have been bringing in a variety of newer brands

(06:13):
that are quite effective and I'm really excited to introduce
these to Dane County. Dabble and dalap Joy Spring, Mary
Ruth Lama Naturals to name a few. Over the year. Sean,
you know, there's been a struggle with kids taking supplements
because they taste bad or they can't swallow a pill.
And you know a lot of parents are hardcore and

(06:34):
they'll be like, you will take this, you know, some
of it, And we've done that at times with our kids.
And it's also super challenging if it's an everyday battle.
So when it comes down to both quality and taste,
we've gotten better at that. The industry has gotten better
than that. If you're a parent right now you have
a kid, I invite you out to check out our

(06:54):
Merry ruthline Taste Delicious. I can't believe this stuff has
that low of sugar and Lama Naturals. I talked about
it last week, but our two year old had snuck
away one of the multi vitamin bottles. No it was
a probiotic, and he was taken handfuls of the stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
I'm like, dude, you can't do that too.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
And he just loves them. We made a video yesterday
put it on our Instagram and social media. You should
check that out. I mean, he just loves them. They're
so tasty, and it sort of ended that suffering of
parents struggling and battling to get their kids to take stuff.
So if you're in the Dane County area, invite you
to check out our stores. All these will be online

(07:33):
too in the coming weeks. We're going to have a
back to school bash come in here this next week
with some healthy promotions. Going on, So just stay looking
out for that. Follow the social really helpful. We want
to be encouraging and inspiring and educational. That's the whole
purpose of the Healthy Place.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
You find him of course, mention those socials on Facebook
you and also if you're on Instagram at find your
Healthy at, find your underscore Healthy Place at find your
underscore Healthy Place, you can find them right there. Speaking
of other places for great information, a fantastic YouTube channel
for the Healthy Place. Learn more online find your Healthy
Place dot com. That's find your Healthyplace dot com. Phone

(08:11):
lines are open as well. Don't forget Tim O'Brien got
a great opportunity for you to get a twenty five
dollars gift card to the Healthy Place. With your great question.
All I got to do is give us a ring
six so eight three two one thirteen ten. That's three
two one thirteen ten. We'll get you right on the
air with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Also a
great day to stop on and you can see Tim
smiling face this morning. He'll be at the Fitchburg location
of the Healthy Place. Also Wellness Consultants standing by Fitchburg

(08:34):
westside of Madison and Son Prairie and there for you
as well. Online it finds your Healthy Place dot com.
That's find your healthy Place dot com. And Tim, one
of the things I often say to my son is
make good choices. And it's hard when you're little. As
an adult, it's hard, but that's that's always kind of
like my challenge to him is is you know, make
good choices, make right decisions, and you talk about yeah,

(08:54):
and you talk about things like like snacks and drinks
and other things like that. Is even as an adult,
I sometimes, you know, we I think a lot of
times we do things with good intentions, but when faced
with making a choice, we don't always make the best
choice in that world. And sometimes it's because of limited options.
I know, some of the great things at the healthy places,
you guys have fantastic options to help kiddos make those

(09:17):
good choices, don't you, Tim?

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Thank you? Yeah, Well, adults and kiddos alike, you know,
eating healthy and making those right choices are costly. Sometimes
they're very expensive, and sometimes they take a lot of
time planning around, et cetera. So one area that I'm
pretty pumped to offer to Dane County. This is a
new initiative, and it's a big deal to me because

(09:41):
it is one of those little things that make a
big difference in people's lives. Healthy clean snacks and healthy
clean ready to drinks are typically expensive. They're just out
of out of the budget and it's just difficult, especially
with everything going on. And so at the Healthy Place,
this is effective immediately all of our we brought in

(10:02):
a number of you know, new sort of brand sell
forty Jocko, Element Electrolytes, Scout Bars, Aloha Bars and drinks
and many more that we're selling all at cost. So
we're literally purchasing them what is our cost, and we're
selling it at that cost. And it's going to be

(10:25):
a win for our company because our community is going
to love it. Like if you're into healthy eating, healthy drink,
then you know, the Healthy Place is going to have,
you know, a couple few dozen brands around this topic,
all of which is going to be sold at cost.
So it's just makes it so much more attainable for
our community to be able to reach for that healthier snack,

(10:47):
reach for that healthier drink, get that electrolyte or that
protein or that organic energy drink to to take care
of their body to nourish their body, and it's all
at cost. And it's super exciting because I know this
will lead to more foot traffic in our stores. So
that's the win. People are like, well, how are you
making money? Like, we have other brands and products that

(11:07):
we can make a margin on and increase foot traffic
is always a good thing for a company like ours,
So it's a win win. I'm super pumped more to
come soon on that and totally come check us out. Sean,
you already mentioned that I'm going to be at the
Fitchburg store on Wednesdays. I'm just lit about this because
it's been some years since I've been able to get
back in my stores. I've been pulled away with too

(11:28):
many other lesser priorities, and I'm like, darn it. I
love my stores, I love my community. I'm getting back there.
So Wednesday, Fitchburg's every week today will be there ten
till two thirty. So totally come visit me, especially if
you're an original gangster you know, like but anyone. I
just enjoy that part of my job more than anything else.

Speaker 2 (11:47):

I will tell folks this. If you haven't a chance

as we do every Wednesday morning. Never going to learn

Tim will be actually out at the Fitchburg location today

(12:54):
and every Wednesday going forward from ten until two thirty.
Stop on out. If you had a chance to meet
Tim before, It's a great experience and of course great opportunity.
If you know Tim, another great reason to stop out
say hello, I'd love to see you again. He'll be
at Fitchburg from ten until two thirty today. Well, it's
consultant standing by at all the locations as well as
I find your Healthy Place dot com. That's find your
Healthy Place dot com. And Tim, you mentioned kind of

(13:15):
getting back to where it all started and what your
passion is. I know your passion is helping people, meeting people,
seeing them grow, seeing them make those right decisions and
really make those changes. And that's part of why you're
spending time back in the stories. You really want to
have that one on one personal contact with folks, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Yeah, you know, people sometimes they need that inspiration. I
mean I've shared my story enough times where it's like
I had a pretty dark set of teen years. I
really sort of hated myself and hated what my part
in the world was. And once I realized that I
had value in something to give to the world, to
maybe leave it a little bit better than when I
came into it, then I wanted That sort of sparked

(13:57):
a passion to get other people there and sort of
encourage other people. And I already had the natural alternative
in you know, approach in my DNA, because my mom
managed a health food store growing up, and I just
got to watch the loop closed where somebody would come
in asking for chronic pain help, and then three weeks
later they'd come back, you know, maybe buying it again
or just reporting back to my mom like hey, this

(14:19):
lowered my chronic pain, or this this helped with my
sugar levels, or this helped with my anxiety and stress level.
So I just got to watch that for fifteen years
before I left my home because I just grew up
in that. We were homeschooled as well, so I got
to sit in the back of this little health food store.
So all that to say it was in my DNA,
I needed somebody to come into my life and kind
of like encourage me and get me out of my darkness.

(14:40):
And in general our community is like doing better than
I was, but everybody's at a different place on their
health journey, and we can all have the flame of
our sort of like life and our view of life,
and like life is a gift and health is a gift,
and we can all have that flame kind of fanned
by somebody that will help grow it or diminished. You know,

(15:03):
somebody might pour water on us and put that flame out.
So we want to be that that place in the
community that you come into our stores and you know
you are met with unreasonable hospitality, Like we care so
much about impacting the individual. And if I'm not in
the stores demonstrating that to my team demonstrating that to
the community first, I'm like, that's going to be pretty

(15:26):
difficult to ask of them. So for a multiple reasons,
And it's a little bit selfish, Sean, because I love
it so much. Like if you've ever heard of elevate
and or delegate and elevate, we all have like these
four quadrants, right, and the lower right is like you're
bad at it and you don't like it. The lower
left of the quadrant is you're good at it, but

(15:46):
you don't like it. And the upper right is like, well,
you're good at it and you're okay at it, But
the upper left quadrant is what you love to do
and what you're really good at and if there's anything
As I was thinking about that delegate and elevate quadrant,
you know, as the seat that I and the roles
I play at the Healthy Place, I'm like, there's nothing
more I personally enjoy than being in the stores talking

(16:10):
to my customers, asking questions about their health, getting them
some breakthrough, encouraging them to keep the conversation, keep the
fight going. Because Sean, all the time, I mean, especially
the people that are suffering. There's so much suffering in
Dane County. There is so much lack of quality of
life in Dane County. So when you get to be

(16:31):
the one that speaks a word to somebody that sort
of sets them on that new trajectory or sort of
even increases their quality of life by one percent, dude,
it's so rewarding. So if you're in Fitchburg or the area,
you should come visit. You know, you got questions on
your health or you just want to say hi. Ten
to two thirty today and every Wednesday, Fitchburg store.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
It's an important step to take, It's an important journey
to take. It's a great day to get on and
say hello to Tim. Another great thing, too, is when
you're in the store, there is so much great in information.
Not only obviously the wellness consultants in Tim and everybody
at the stores phenomenal information and they can help guide you,
but there's also a lot of information literature free stuff
there as well. Talk to about making good choices.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Yes, samples like that's just you know, talk about samples.
Come in for samp whether it's our CBD gummies, our
CBDHC gummies, or some of the kids products we mentioned,
or other products for stress, anxiety, sleep, like just come
in and say, hey, Herd, you have some samples, Like
we love to just make it rain samples because if
you try something and it works day one, you're going

(17:35):
to be impacted by that.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
That is amazing. It's a great day to get on in.
Tim would love to see again west Side, Madison, Fitchburg
