It is our number two on theline. Change Fox Sports the Gambler Fox
Sports Gambler dot com at Fox PtoGambler on Twitter. Oh, if you
can't tell, I'm feeling it.I had a brother's wedding on Saturday.
Amazing wedding, So congratulations to mybrother and my new sister in law,
two of my favorite people in theentire world. It was an amazing wedding.

(00:23):
And my brothers in a cover band, Gypsy Wisdom, and they had
a great band there, Juliana Brothers, two thumbs up with them. Great
wedding band. But there was abunch of people there that also were in
bands and can sing, and itwas a great party. Everybody dancing,
live music everywhere. It was awesome. That also means though I danced for

(00:48):
a while and I don't really dothat much activity. I'm a very lazy
human being by nature. My bodyis feeling it on the dance floor and
maybe I'll be on another dance floorsoon another wedding. We shall see about
that. But joining me right nowon the Gambler hot line. You can
follow him at Jeff Parles on Twitter. Check out his work over at Vison

(01:11):
as well. Jeff Parles joining us. Jeff, your favorite part about a
wedding, you know what the celebrationof It's the celebration of getting a lot
of if if the wedding is done, done the way that I would like
it, you have an open bar. But of course, of course you

(01:33):
can. You can still have alot of fun at cash bars. But
uh, it's a lot more fiscallyresponsible for you. Yes, if you
have an open bar, I say, guess not the people that put the
wedding on. But uh but nowlook again, mine is crazy enough.
John thirty thirty some odd days away. Now are you nervous? I are

(01:55):
you nervous about it? All?Okay, No, I'm really not that
nervous, man. I'm I mean, we've my fiance and I'm Margaret's my
fiance. She and I have beenI have been engaged for a long time.
Man. So it's uh so we'reready, We're ready. We have
to go off to Saint Louis thisweek to do our final prep work.
And uh and yeah, it's prettypretty crazy, man, pretty crazy.

(02:17):
It is abandon your wedding too, hopefully real fun and then the real fun
begins of her now well, grantedshe probably wants to kill me anyway,
but if she as we're married,I mean, just uh, just making
sure I don't don't don't pick heroff too much too quickly. I know
that's the thing you have, Likethis kind of grace period right now where

(02:37):
everything's really happy because the wedding's comingup and it's such a big day.
And then afterwards, oh, youcan mess it up so bad. And
I know you, Jeff Parles,You're gonna get on her nerves at some
point after all more, I'm morten, all right, This is Jeff Pearls
on the Gambler Hotline. Although wecan talk weddings for a while, we
could talk about anything with Jeff Parles. I do want to get to NBA

(02:59):
because we have come up soon.First game of the day of two tonight,
Sixers and Nets. Any play withthis game, anything on the Sixers
and Nets series. Obviously, Sixerslooking very get in game one. I
imagine they're going to win this seriesand maybe four or five they seem to
overmatch Brooklyn. But what did youget from game one and potentially any bets

(03:19):
for game two tonight? Yeah,I thought that the Nets would actually be
a little more competitive than they were. I mean, granted, the Sixers
hit a franchise record of three pointersin the playoff game, so you don't
anticipate that holding up again. Butno, I haven't bet anything here.
I think double digits is probably right. The Nets are definitely overmatched. The

(03:39):
Sixers are way better. But butin the end here I still again I
thought it was gonna be sixers andsix I probably after watching Game one would
say more likely than sixers in five. But but but again, look the
Nets are the Nets are ways offat this point in order to win in

(04:00):
anything of significant, as we knowwith the trade trades during the season.
But yeah, I look the Sixers. Look, if you honest's back injury
is severe at all, I mean, then it could turn into that Sixers
in Celtics is actually the fact thoughEastern Conference Finals in the second round that
is squarely in play all of asudden. Now it is as the Sixers

(04:24):
end up playing well in Game onethe Golden State Warriors, they were close
in Game one, weren't quite ableto get to win against Sacramento one twenty
six, one twenty three final score. There So for the second game,
Tonight's ten o'clock Golden State and Sacramento. Can Golden State get a road win?
Sure they can? Will they?I don't think so though. I

(04:46):
Look, I will say this, the one alarming thing for for the for
the Warriors is that the Kings didn'teven play that well on Sunday night.
You can still into Fox and Monkwere pulled just electric down the stretch.
But look, I would say thatthe Warriors, the Warrior. Look,

(05:08):
the Warriors are gonna have obviously gonnahave to win a road game in this
series. I think they probably will. I think they'll sweep their games at
at Chase Center in San Francisco. But look, it's a Sacramento's game.
They're absolutely game, and they didn'tplay that great. Again, their guards
did play great, but the restof the team did not. Some bonus
really struggled. But I look,I think that the Kings are very much

(05:30):
alive in this series, and itwould not shock me one bit of drop
two. Oh, and then youhave a very interesting betting situation on your
hand where you could very easily comeacross and hop in on the hop in
and bet the Warriors on the otherside and go from there. John,
what was the most surprising game oneresult for you over the weekend, probably

(05:58):
the Clippers. Probably Clippers look asgood as they did in victory yesterday,
because look, I thought that Phoenixis way better than them. I thought
Phoenix is the best team in theWestern Conference. And the thing is playoff
Kauai seeings that's for the first timesince he was in Toronto, and if
he's gonna play like that, thenall of a sudden, the Clippers I
think are very much live. Forgetiouswinning the series. They're alive did to

(06:21):
win the Western Conference. If Kawhiis gonna play like he did last night,
now was with it without Paul George, and I probably want that Paul
George the entire playoffs series against Phoenix. So I think they were the biggest
surprise of how great Kauai was.I mean, Westbrook did his best to
lose the game offensively and then madethe plays defensively down the stretch that he
had to in order to win thegame. But I would say that's probably

(06:44):
of older results and again older roadteams. But Minnesota won yesterday, I
would say the Clippers were the biggestsurprise. Look, I can't take much
with the Bucks in the heat becauseJannie leaves the game early and an Hero
breaks his hand, So who knowsin that series? Now? If Yannis
is out, it's probably hard tosee even without Hero. For Miami,
I look, Milwaukee's in trouble becauseMiddleton is just not the same guy anymore,

(07:09):
even if he can play and Holiday, if Holiday's your best players,
you're in trouble in a playoffs series. So I look, who knows what
to make? An add if Yannisis hampered at all and the result of
yesterday was the injury based and thenthe Lakers Memphis thing doesn't surprise me because
I thought the Lakers are a betterteam and are gonna win that series,
and I would job likely out inGame two. I think the Lakers have

(07:30):
a chance to sweep this series againstMemphis, and I will tell you,
John, for a small market teamlike Memphis, you would expect that type
of team to be like one ofthe most likable teams in the entire playoffs,
and they're the most unlikable team inthe entire playoffs. So I would
be very pleased if the Lakers tookthe grizz out. Talk with Jeff Parles

(07:50):
can follow him. Add Jeff Parleson Twitter. So you mentioned they're Milwaukee's
troubles, and really it's just theinjury to Jannis. I don't know the
of the injury, how much it'sgoing to hamper him, how long it
could be out because of the backinjury. But let's just say it does
hamper him to the point where Milwaukeemaybe can't come out of this series against
Miami. What does a potential Milwaukeelost in the first round due to the

(08:15):
playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.Well, I mean it does. It's
everything, isn't it, Because thenit makes the winner of the Sixers a
Celtics series, assuming that's the series, makes them the prohibitive favorite to come
out of the East. What italso does is it gives the winner of
the Knicks Cleveland series a real chanceto make the finals. Now you may

(08:37):
think, what are you talking about, but John, if the Sixers and
the Celtics have a seven game battle, that just as the two of them
beating the heck out of each otherfor seven games and the Knicks or the
Cavs handle Miami if Miami were andthis is if Miami tolds the opposite and
I don't think that's a massive massiveif even if Jannis is unable to play,

(09:01):
it's still a pretty big game. But the Knicks and the Cat,
the winner of that series would havea real shout to win a seven game
series against either Philadelphia or Boston.I actually think the Knicks would match up
better with Boston and the Celtics wouldmatch up better with fill It, if
that makes sense, John, SoI would be in a scenario where if
it's the Knicks in the East Finalsagainst the Sixers, I think the Sixers

(09:24):
would would win that series in fivegames. It would be very difficult for
the Knicks to win that series. But in the end, I think John,
more likely than not, I wouldimagine the Honest is probably able to
play and he ends up coming throughand the Bucks still end up in the
finals when it's all said and done, assuming that he's healthy enough. But
it at least gives Philadelphia and Bostonmuch better chances if they played Milwaukee with

(09:48):
a hamper the Honest. So youjust mentioned there. Over the weekend,
the Celtics looking good one twelve ninetynine, but also Knicks as well,
Nick one one to ninety seven ofthe Calves, close game, but a
road win. How good is thisKnicks team because they do have some guys
like Randall, who took a bigstep up last year, and Jalen Brunson.

(10:11):
He might be the best player onthis team. He had an excellent
playoffs last year for Dallas, andhe continues to come up with some really
big moments in the playoffs. Ithink the Cavaliers are looked at as that
team that was kind of on thefringe with the Celtics, the Sixers,
and the Bucks, that they maybehad enough talent to be that dark horse
team. Look, I'm not goingto say the Knicks are, but again,

(10:31):
if we're going to mention the Bucksissues and the concerns over Yannis's injury,
it seems like the Knicks might bethe ones to step up and maybe
take a spot in the Eastern Conferencethat we didn't expect. Yeah. Look,
I think I think both of thoseteams in the Cleveland New York series
are allowed to come out of theEast now, especially Yannis's injury. But
I'd like to Knicks in the seriesagainst Cleveland to begin with, because I

(10:54):
think I know it's weird to sayabout Again, Donovan Mitchell is plenty playoffs
berry, He's an awesome player. He's basically scoring thirty five points to night
right now. But the Knicks,if Julius Randall was healthy, I thought
the Knicks were very much live inorder to win that win that series,
and right now they are very muchlive because of what Julius Randall provides.

(11:18):
And he was grave in Game oneand Jalen Brunson took the game over in
the second half, so so look, in the end, I think I
really do think that that the thatthe Knicks end up beating Cleveland, and
I thought that before the series tobegin with anyway, and if it's a
hampered the honest with Milwaukee, Ithink the Knicks would be well worthy twe

(11:41):
to take him in a chance tobeat the Boxton Right again, I don't
think the Knicks can beat the Sixersin the seven game series. I don't
think that's a good matchup. Andthen the Boston side, I think they
actually match up with Boston pretty well. So I would give them a better
shot against the Celtics than I wouldagainst Philadelphia. Talking with Jeff Parles,
if he could check his workout overat Visa and follow him at Jeff Parl's
on Twitter as he joins us hereon the line change. I do want

(12:05):
to move over to the NFL becausewe just got news from Adam Schefter about
Jalen Hurts contracts. So Te tweetsout Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts salary cap numbers
for the next four seasons after today'stwo hundred and fifty five million dollar extension
twenty twenty three still the rookie contract, I think, and part of it
six point fifteen million, twenty twentyfour thirteen point five six million, twenty

(12:28):
twenty five twenty one point seven sevenmillion, and twenty twenty six thirty one
point seven seven million. Obviously, you see the two fifty five and five
years that would be a fifty onemillion dollar annual pay. But seems like
Howie Roseman has manipulated the cap yetagain. Jeff, first of all,
thoughts on the Hurts extension, andobviously those numbers there that suggest maybe they're

(12:50):
gonna have a lot of room tobe able to work the cap and still
continue to build. Well, allright, the fewest things. First off,
good job by everyone. There isan argument he said that probably you
wanted to wait another year for Hurtsto play at an elite level before giving
him the money. But I haveno problem with that because if you waited
one more year it Hurts was atop five quarterback in a second straight year,

(13:11):
you would really be paying even morebecause then by then Vard Jackson would
fully be on the market. Andthen if he signed first for a huge
deal, you'd be in a littlebit of trouble. So I kudos everyone
every side. Well earned by Hurts, good job by Roseman in order to
get that deal done. Yeah, look, if you get more room,
the Eagles are going to be therefor a while. They were gonna be

(13:33):
there for a while as it was. Anyway. They are to me,
far and away still the best teamin the conference. And when this is
all said and done, John,I really do think that Philadelphia is going
to end up winning the division goingaway again. I know the betting odds
markets don't say that, but theEagles are pretty clearly the best team in

(13:56):
the NFC East, And in allhonesty, it's going to depend on what
happens in San Francisco's quarterbacking situation tosee how close it is with anyone else.
I'm not buying, not buying anyonein the NFC. No North.
They're not buying anyone in the NFCSouth. They're all terrible. The NFC
West teams obviously nine ers a week, questions his quarterback, and then I'm
not buying the Seahawks being any goodagain. And the Rams, who knows

(14:18):
the Rams are a real wild cardand everything in the NFC. But what
this really does now is, Idon't if you're Lamar Jackson. John Well,
Jale Urts is pretty much the closestthing on the market to what he
is, and he just got basicallythe same deal that Lamar was offered last
year and then he turned out.So I'm curious to see what happens with

(14:39):
Jackson. And look, and there'sa real shot now that Jackson just holds
out and doesn't play next year.I think that is in play, and
I think that's the biggest thing, even more so from them. What the
perspective of the Eagles is. Ithink it comes down to what's going to
happen, dude, Lamar Jackson, and I would not be shot if Lamar

(15:00):
Jackson ends up having to sign asimilar deal that hurts or ends up just
not playing this year. Yeah,I would imagine that for Lamar to see
the contract Jalen got, he wouldjust get something similar. I know he
was holding out trying to get abetter number and to Shaun Watson's number obviously
very high in terms of guaranteed money. But I have a feeling like Lamar

(15:20):
can look at this as an exampleof Okay, a quarterback on this market
that I am close to that justgot that scene, that got that number
at two fifty five and you knowall that per year. I would have
to imagine that would maybe change Lamar'sperspective a little bit. How do you
think that does ultimately end up goingdown? Now? Because I think there
was a report that Baltimore offered againa contract for Lamar, and I think

(15:43):
it was something similar to Jalen Hurtsnumbers, just I would imagine slightly lower.
But what do you think this negotiationthat Hurts ended up with and whether
he signed with the Eagles and howthat affects Lamar? Now do you think
it does end up resulting in awhole Now, I'll be honest with it,
John, I really don't know.I do lean that it does end

(16:04):
up being a holdout, but we'llsee, well, really, we'll see
what happens because this whole situation hasreally not made much sense to me at
all, this whole way, forthe way that Baltimore has handled themselves throughout
the entire seek, The situation withLamar hasn't made much sense. You've got
the top ten quarterback. I knowhis injury concerns, I know he hasn't

(16:26):
finished the last two seasons, butyou have no real replacement at this point.
Like, all right, Tyler Huntley'sa nice backup, but come on,
I know you almost pulled the upseton the road, But that had
more to do with the Baltimore defensein that game more than anything, being
able to slow down the Bengals andthe Bengals not being able to adjustment stream

(16:47):
because of their offensive line injuries thatwe saw the following two weeks. With
preparation time, the Bengals had noproblem moving the ball at all against the
Frauds in Buffalo and then and thenin Kansas City. That was as coin
flippy of the game as you're gonnaagain. And that was a Super Bowl
champion they lost to an air building. So rook, I think at the
end here, if you're Baltimore,I think you just got to find a
way to get a deal done.If you're Jackson, why would you bother?

(17:11):
I mean, unless it Baltimore comeshere under number, there's no reason
to go back. I mean theyclearly, they clearly don't really want him
at this point. And for thenumber that Lamar wants to get, so
humblemar it's patient city. At thispoint. Will Rogers be back in Green
Bay? No, No, No, Rogers. Rogers will be the quarterback

(17:33):
into New York Jets. And thatwill happen at some point and and and
at this rate, it's just atotal nuisance. At this rate, john
that Wardy Johnson has decided because Rogerssaid, oh, I might retire.
I was ninety percent of retirement beforeI went I went into the darkness and
all that garbage. But I mean, mored that was just Aric Rodgers is

(17:57):
ridiculous. He's a ridicul He washuman being at this point, So why
would you think anything in his wordin the way of retirement. Now,
I gonna buy him on that hewants to play for the Jets, because
why would he go public with that? And he didn't want to do that
because he kills any other leverage forany other possible movie. Could make so.
I Look, I think in theend he ends up being the quarterback

(18:18):
in the Jets. Jordan Loves hisquarterback of the Packers, and I would
not be surprised, John, becauselook that NFC North is a disaster.
It's a disaster. I mean, the Lions are the rightful favorites to win
that division at this rate, andI don't think they're that good. So
look in in the end here,John, he would not shock me if

(18:40):
Jordan Love ends up being the bestquarterback in that division next year, just
because that again Cousins, his cousinsPoff is golf and I don't know what
Justin Fields is still, So we'llsee. They're here be weird stuff in
the NFC this year. Man,other than the Eagle. Other than the
Eagles, they're the only team thatI am certain is going to be in
a postseason because of just what theyare. Everyone else is in play because

(19:04):
the rest of the conference really isjust mediocre or have major quarterback issues.
Speaking of quarterbacks, Bryce Young nowa huge favorite. What does that mean
to you when the market does shiftlike that? Because it seems like the
NFL draft, especially these picks veryrumors, based very report based But Bryce

(19:25):
Young being the favorite, does thatmean he is solidified you think as the
number one overall pick in the draft. I mean, I'm pretty certain he's
going number one. I mean Ionly thought he was going number one.
You can't get anything at this point. I don't want to lay the minus
four hundred. I mean, again, his draft season where ten days away,
anything can change. You remember lastyear Drayvon Walker wasn't even on the

(19:48):
radar until the week of the draft. So I'm not willing to do anything
at this point. There are afew people out there today trying to explain
away that maybe it's a good batminus four hundred is it? Probably an
eighty percent probability. Probably, ButI don't know if I'm willing to lay
that price because that could change threeor four more times by the time we
get the draft day. So therewere some conflicting reports on the second overall

(20:12):
pick, which it now seems likeBryce Young is going to go first and
second. The Texas seems like theyloved Bryce Young, they might not have
the opportunity to get him, though. There are reports that maybe the Houston
Texans still go with the quarterback numbertwo. Maybe not. What do you
think they should do. You know, I was a big Davis Mills defender

(20:37):
going in the last year, John, you are one of those unbelievable.
I was a big Davis Mills defender, but I was not if they but
if the Houston Texans do not takethe quarterback at number two, what are
we doing here? Yeah? I'mseriously what are we doing here? Davis
Mills is a backup quarterback in thisleague, and there's nothing wrong with that.
By the way, he actually bea perfectly fine backup quarterback in this

(21:02):
league. But you can't. Itcan't go into next year. If you're
Houston with a with a with anew head coach that everyone is excited about
and all that jazz, you can't. You can't go forward with him as
your quarterback. There's no reason todo that. And look, I don't
know how good c. J.Stroud is going to be. I have
no idea, but you how toimagine that? How to imagine that at

(21:30):
least he's gonna be better than whatDavis Mills would give you next year?
So I look, I'm in thecamp that if your detections, you gotta
go draft the quarterback. And what'sthe alternative taking Will Anderson it too trade
down. If you want to dothat, someone else would want to quarterback
at two. So I don't getthat at all, John, I don't
get the the Schefter report because thatwas rapping part basically backed it up.

(21:55):
He's like, hey, look they'rejust taking a quarterback at two. Earlier
today. I guess he was onMcAfee, but I don't. I don't
see it, John, I don'tsee going with with with Will Anderson would
at number two if I'm Houston, unless again they could. But again it's
very tricky because the team as youwould most logically move up to two would
be Indie at four. But ifyou're Houston you really want to give a

(22:18):
division rival their potential franchise quarterback,I would not be willing to make that
deal unless of Indie just US givesyou such an outrageous package you can't say.
Now. Joining us in the Gamblerhotline right now is Jeff Parles.
You can follow him at Jeff Pearlson Twitter. Jeff. Obviously, hockey
in this city maybe a little lowon the totem pole because the Flyers not

(22:40):
doing so well, but we dohave hockey on the Hurricanes are up one
nothing over the Islanders. Any hockeythoughts as we head into the playoffs,
any please? Just something? Ihope the Bruins don't win the title.
Really, I think I think itwould be nice if they did. You
know, I do seem to creategreat time. It would, John would
create amazing time from from about sixhours north of you guys. Oh yeah,

(23:03):
I can imagine that. Found theway that the greatest regular season ever
and didn't win the Cup. Hey, I'm a I'm a new Boston guy
now. Like I I went tothe city a four weekend and I wasn't.
I didn't think that was gonna happen. But Boston's not bad. It's
a good city. It's a nicekid. You can't do that. I

(23:23):
probably shouldn't say that out loud, but I did. I enjoyed myself in
Boston. Really good place. Theylove live music, which is great.
You know. I I don't know, I kind of I kind of like
Boston. It was good, Oh, John, that okay place. I
mean, it's not as good asfilm I mean, but New York probably

(23:44):
Well, I'm not, I'm notnow now now we're now, we're just
becoming a Homer, but that's that'sexpected anyway. But but look, I
think in the end here, ifyou made me predict so I'm in a
bracket pool, I went off theboard and bach, you have to not
take Boston thiss goo if you're likein one of those NHL bracket pools.
So I have Las Vegas. Iexcuse me, Las Vegas jieves. I

(24:07):
would get run out of my owncity for saying that. I have Vegas
beating New Jersey in the final. That's what I have. I have the
Knights winning the first Cup. Theweird thing with the Knights is I don't
know how good DGK really is becausethey've been awesome out of the All Star
Brand. They were able to holdoff just a scortching rotten by McDavid and

(24:27):
Edmonton the last month of the yearto hold on to the one seed in
the West and they're down the boardfor a teammates got whole ice in the
Western Conference. Stare down the board. So it's a little bit surprising.
But I look, I think it'sgonna gonna come down who wins that series
between Vegas and Edmonton to come outwhoever wins out of the West. I

(24:49):
don't think Colorado is the team theywere last year. I don't think there's
good and goal I know Gore Gavehad a good year, but I don't
really trust them first time through theplayoffs as a goaltender, and I don't
think anyone else. I don't thinkGallas is capable of winning two three series
out West. I don't think anyoneelse is capable of winning three series out
West other than Vegas, Colorado inEdmonton. I think the winner of Vegas

(25:11):
Edmonton ends up winning the West, and then he's looked just to be different.
I don't love Carolina. I don'tthink they're that. I don't think
they're as good as the regular seasonshowed. I actually thought the Islanders were
alive in this series, and theystill very well, maybe because they have
the better goalie. Sirokan's the topthree goalie at this point in hockey.
Um. And then look, ifanyone's gonna beat Boston, I think it'd

(25:33):
be the winner of the Devil's inthe Rangers series though, So that's why
I was the Devil's beating the Rangers. So that's why I have the Devil's
coming out of the East. Idon't really have much confidence in that.
But a Vegas, New Jersey finalwould be great for me because that would
be my childhood team against against mylocal team. Now that would be Austin.
That'd be the two hockey jerseys Iowned, John Jansen, Well,

(25:55):
you own hockey because I do.I. Actually you want you want to
get story, real quick story. So when I when I was in high
school, we want a remember thosetricky Trey auctions jump that are basically like
rand You're basically it was like asliding it was. It's really just more

(26:17):
of like a a random draws theeasier way to play. Okay, yes,
I know it. That is whatthe heck did you call it?
I've never heard that before New Jerseything. Who knows? But but but
I I we will. I wanta day to shadow Gary Bettman in the

(26:38):
office in Manhattan. And the giftthat Gary Bettman, the commissioner the NHL
gave me was a personalized New JerseyDevil's jersey. So I still have it
in the Miraculously enough it still fits. Because hockey sweaters are humongous. Huge.
Yeah, yeah, there's humongous. So why did you win into straw

(27:03):
and get it? Feels like you'reskipping into part just to like say,
oh I got a specialized jeroisy youdid what with Gary Bettman. We shot
like basically it was like a dayshadow the commissioner for a day. So
basically we uh it was me andone other kid um and we went into
the office. We we basically hungout in the NHL main offices for the

(27:26):
day. We uh we met,uh we met. We actually met a
flyer's legend, Keith Fremo at onepoint during Wow, Keith, I know
that I know him, and I'lltell you this John being next to Keith
Premo, who is a gigantic humanbeing, yes, six to five,

(27:48):
Like it is amazing like those biggiant defenseman. So it says Dato Chara
having the career that he had,it's amazing that someone that large could move
gracefully on the ice and kind ofworks for Keith Freemo, who's six foot
five, who was doing a radiospot that day on a NHL series radio
which was had a studio in theNHL store in the in Manhattan in Manhattan,

(28:12):
which was adjacent to the NHL offices. So we went in there for
a few hours off. So itwas it was a very cool day.
Actually, and I will say this, the commissioner I was was unbelievably nice
to us. His daughter went toour high school. She was a few
years a half. I was aboutto say, I was like, what,
how do you get those kind ofthings, you know, winning in
a North Jersey experience? Because itwas it was an all shy I forget

(28:34):
what had benefited at the high school, but it benefited something at the high
school. We went to um anduh, yeah, he's a very very
nice guy. Man. We grewup in two different worlds, my friend,
we grew up in two way differentparts of the country because my school
surrounded by a bunch of Amish farmsin corn celebrity though, what's that your

(28:55):
coast celebrity. I don't know ifI'm a Delcas celebrity. Okay, my
last name might carry some weight inyeah, in the Delco community. But
I went to high school though,in in the middle of nowhere in Chester
County, full of a bunch ofcornfields and Amish farms. I don't think
even though I you know what,I will brag Jeff uh the CEO or

(29:15):
like president of hers, one ofthe hers themselves did the graduation speech,
so I will say that hers potatothe chip company, the chip company.
Yeah, I hope you know whathers is. It's the best chip in
I'm just making sure that you didn'tsay hurts No, not no, that

(29:36):
would have been cool, but nohers mister her himself, you know,
did my graduation speak. So weI at least got that, but we're
not. Those are great chips. What's your best favorite chip flavor? What's
my favorite chip FLA gotta have goodplay? Saltan vinegar, salton vinegar.
Oh, I love salton vinear.I haven't had it in a while though,

(29:56):
because it is it is a strwrong flavors, so I got to
make sure I am very much.So you know what's funny is my two
favorite chips. I would say saltonvinegars. One I love salton vinegar,
but my other one is lightly salted. So I'm either going with all the
salt and all the vinegar, orI'm going with none of none. There

(30:17):
are two wolves inside of me,all right. So I was so I
was hosting a few weekends ago duringthe afternoon, during like early evening afternoon,
and I've missed tied my meals. So I was hungry. So we
have access to a one at theSouth Point studio. We've access to uh
to to the employee dining room, and we're able to get to get meals

(30:38):
and such. But you can't havea whole meal in the middle of the
show. So one of our audioguys those because because he because he was
working a ten hour day at abreak and went down and I told me,
I just just get me something quickthat's handheld, and and he got
a bag of fritos and a bagof plane lays. And I picked the
plane lays. And Danny Burke, who you know, who hosted with me

(31:03):
that day, you called me,called me a borderline serial killer for picking
the plane lays over the friedos. And I did not quite understand why he
said that, I'm gonna have toagree plane lasers. Oh wow, brutal
man, it's just such a blandship. I can't I here's the thing,
though, well, kind of freedom, regular freedom freedoska regular FreeDOS.

(31:27):
I had one very bad experience asa young child eating tritos, so I
can't eat friedos anymore. Now Ineed to Now I need to hear that
story. I want to hear moreabout were jod you want the story real
quick? Yes, I do,And that would be the last thing I
need. Your FreeDOS story of whyas a child this uh gave you so

(31:48):
much trauma that you can't eat friedosagain. So I was. I was.
I was probably about nine years old. We were on a flight and
the snack was FreeDOS and I atetoo many of them, and I guess
you can figure out what happened becauseof that. Yeah, I did that.
Um, I did that with onefood when I was a kid,
and I haven't eaten them since.Uh do you know, like the orange

(32:09):
peanut candy? I forget what they'recalled, but um, it's like this
orange peanut candy, very sugary.Yeah, it'd be way more specific about
that, John, I have noidea hold on, let me see if
I can get an actual um orangepeanut candy. That's I'm looking at it.

(32:29):
They're called um circus peanuts, SoI know they're called circus peanuts.
Circus peanuts. Yeah, they're likelike marshmallowy type things things that are basically
like but worse. Yeah yeah yeah, yeah, So I ate like an
entire bag of them, maybe inlike a couple of minutes as a kid,

(32:51):
and of course you could tell itended up with a bad result similar
to yours. And I have noteaten circus peanuts since. And I used
to eat them all the time whenI was a kid, all the time,
And now I can't. You knowwhat you're better off for You're better
off for it, man, Iprobably off for it. The circus peanuts
are gross. They are I don'tknow why I like them so much in
the first place. They are gross. They look like I mean, they

(33:15):
look like big Look, they lookmore like Cheetos than they do pe do.
It's the only thing that looks likea peanut is it's shape on the
top. It looks like, youknow, they put the little they got
the little dots. Yes, thatsounds like the circus place are probably something
I should be eating anyway, Likewhat what is in circus peanuts? Uh?

(33:38):
It can't be good. And theprobably probably something something that probably hurts
yourself down the line, I goto say, probably something that doesn't ever
process in your stomach and it justsits there forever, just preserved. Yeah,
it's oh yeah, you're like ifyou swallowed gum and gun stuck in
your digestive drag forever. But Johnfiance had a head an off day today

(34:04):
because we had to travel back fromthe East Coast last night. Um,
and she has just been looking atme like I have fourteen heads during this
entire interview. So I god forbidthat your listeners have to think. How
does it always come to this whenI end up doing a segment with you?
Jeff? Well, you know whatI mean? Because because John,
because John, you and I,You and I are both entertaining geeks.

(34:27):
I hope, So I hope everybodylikes my circus peanut story. Um,
but you know what, maybe weshould, Maybe we should one time,
I'll have a circus peanut, youhave a freedo and we try and get
past our childhood trauma. How doesthat sound? You know? John,
I'll wait for after the wedding todo that. There you go. Well,
well, now that gives me incentiveto go to the wedding. There
wasn't any before, but now therewe go for content for content. Good
