(00:04):
He could always count on Bright Sharper. Right. It just feels that well,
even when it comes to just givingus good news, we needed good
news and be being out of gameone bad news, very bad news.
Bryce Harper being back May second, when we all thought at first July,
then June, possibly end of May, but now you're crazy. How can

(00:28):
we be back end of May?Oh no, no, no, you're
crazy, as he's back May second. Unbelievable recovery and we're gonna go over
all of that right now. Brights Harper's return and also the Phillies bullpen
continuing to perform extremely well, andwe're going over that all right now on
the line change Fox Sports of Gambler. Joining me on the Gambler Hotline is

(00:51):
Destiny Legardo of Phillies Nation, andshe put out a really good post of
some stats to the Phillies Bullpen thatyou should check out. But you could
check it out Phillies Nations. He'sthe deputy editorial director and you can follow
her at Destiny Underscore Legardo. Destinyagain, Bryce Harper reliable and he gives
us the best news possible that's gota feel good. Yeah, I truly

(01:14):
can't believe that it's May first.Sum we're talking about Bryce Harper being back
in the lineup as a designated hitteron May second. I you know,
we've been talking about it for weeksbasically, like when is he going to
come back? And I always saidI'm on the optimistic side and that it
could possibly be the third week ofMay, maybe the last week of May.
You know, you were really optimisticthe last time I talked to you.

(01:34):
I was really optimistic. And thenlook at what happens. Bryce Harper
is ready to come back the firstweek of May. So you know,
it's kind of strange, like it'shard to, you know, looking back
at the off season really kind ofpredict how this is gonna unfold, just
because there hasn't been a lot ofguys who've gotten Tommy John surgery and have
been in this position. And whatI mean by that is that Bryce would

(01:57):
be able to come back before hecould go in the field, because for
most position players, the team wouldwant them to throw I know a lot
of people with impairing it to showHey Otani coming back because it designated hitter.
But we're not expecting Bryce Harper tocome back as a picture at some
point. So, yeah, thisisn't really an incredible outcome. You know,
Bryce deserves a lot of credits forattacking the rehab and taking good care

(02:19):
of themselves for the first thirty yearsof his life and the sturgeon and so
he's training, So like this isincredible. Yeah, incredible recovery. And
with it comes some obvious concerns ofcoming back from an injury so early.
I'm not saying that they're rushing him. He could have just recovered in that
time period, but what are potentialconcerns or restrictions that might be on Bryce

(02:42):
Harper early on coming back from thisinjury. Yeah, I understand all the
concerns just because he then go ona Mior league rehab assignment. This is
the fastest anybody's coming back from TommyJohn surgery at you know, reading Matt
Delve's story yesterday, I think oneof the concerns could be, and I
think this is really valid, isthat he maybe go a little bit too
hard and there's a soft tissue injurythat comes up. But my opinion on

(03:05):
the whole ordeal is that the sillyno better and Bryce Harper knows a lot
better than we do. We justdon't really have the information, So they
really have no reason to Russia justbecause he's here for another nine years.
And I think there's an organizational philosophythat they're playing to win in October.
So whatever they do now, they'renot going to, you know, lower

(03:27):
their chances of going back to theWorld's tears. And if that means Bryce
Harper waiting a month or two tocome back, then they would have done
that. But I think they wereat a point where they were looking for
reasons for Bryce Harper not to comeback as early as he is right now,
and they're, you know, theydidn't really have anything that to go
with. So that's kind of whereit is. Bryce Harper is going to
come back on May second, andonly missed thirty games of the twenty twenty

(03:50):
three season, which is just incredible, and he's going to start off Jeff
Passon reporting that he's probably going tobe a designated hitter in his first game
back. Now we know he hasbeen fielding a lot of first base during
batting practice and he's working out there. How much do you think they actually
are pushing Is this just an experiment? Are they trying to see him practice
and just get a feel for it. How much do you think they are

(04:13):
going to push trying to get Harperat first base. No, I think
this is something that he really wantsto do. And obviously there's a there's
a whole at first base of RheesHoskin being injured and Derek Hall missing sometime.
So he's really trying to be afirst baseman and maybe you never know
what you know, in a fewyears, you know, after this,
Bryce Harper could actually be a firstbaseman, maybe could help him prolonged his

(04:36):
time. So I think it's somethingthat they're definitely it's very serious about.
I'm not sure if he'll it'll bea while until he's back as a first
baseman if that happens, because becauseyou know, a few months ago they
were talking about Bryce Harper possibly comingback to an outfielder in September and that

(04:57):
was more of a possibility and notlike a certain So I think it's going
to be mons atilis essentially back inthe field. But I think it's something
that they're there see it's about.Yeah, it's something they're gonna push getting
him back in the field, becauseobviously he's done well as a DH,
and it sound like they're struggling inthe outfield. I know Bryce Harper's an
above average fielder and he would certainlybe an improvement maybe over Schober and Castianist,

(05:19):
but I don't feel like defensively theyhave been too much of a deficiency.
And obviously you have a great centerfielder and Brandon Marsh that helps out
as well. Do you think thatthey need to have him in the outfield
or at least in the field ingeneral. I think it definitely helps with
the flexibility of the designated hitter, just so it limits a lot of what

(05:39):
they could do if they just haveBryce in the DH spot all the time.
I'm a little bit concerned with Schoreberjust because he hasn't played a lot
of outfield in the first few weeksof the year, and Rob Thompson is
pretty much said it's just because ofthe World Baseball Classic, he hasn't been
able to play as much outfield ashe would like so and hopefully that's not
much of a concern in the nearfuture. But yeah, I think you

(06:01):
know, it's been working with Harper'sat DH, and it certainly worked last
year, but you would like tohave that spot, you know, remain
flexible. And you know you mentionedabout the outfield defense and how it really
hasn't been a problem. You know, part of it is adding Christian Pasche,
part of it is having Britain marshBy the guy in center field.
But Nick Costianos has really impressed meas an outfielder, and he kind of

(06:24):
seems like a guy that was nevergoing to improve in that sense. But
I think it's just kind of goingback to him, like getting his group
back, him focusing more, himworking, and just kind of being more
comfortable in his environment. It's reallyit translated to him improving in ways that
we haven't really thought he would, you know, haven't We didn't really think
that he would get much better inthe outfield, but you know what we

(06:46):
know, Yeah, he's been spectaculargoing back to the playoffs, and the
defense is something we weren't expecting andthat came along very nicely. The bat
slowly has come along, but nowhe has looked spectacular this season. I
think this last stretch of games he'sbeen very good and the one that turned
heads for me. Obviously, it'sgood to see him making contact and it's

(07:09):
good to see him getting extra basehits that home run against the Astros,
him turning on a pitch like that, a pitch that wasn't even a good
pitch to really hit, but hewas confident enough to swing like that and
to put one that deep into thebleachers. That one turned heads for me.
What do you think has been thebiggest difference so far with Castianos this
season? Yeah, I really thinkit's just a matter of him getting comfortable

(07:30):
on his surroundings. It's probably somethingthat I've said before. Last year just
wasn't bad for him. I mean, he kind of dealt with just moving
to a new city, hasn't reallybeen in a market like that. You
know, he had another child, and for a lot of guys, they
can adjust, like you know,Kyle Schoerber had a child. You know,
Kyle Schoiber moved to Philadelphia last yearand he adjusted really well. But

(07:53):
that's not really the sense of Tostianos. So I think it's just a matter
of, you know, as timemoved along, got a lot more comfortable
being in Philadelphia and he got toyou know, look at last season as
a learning experience for him, andhe to you know, he really delved
into you know, all the wayshe failed and you know what he has
to learn from that. So Ireally like you asked him about mechanics and

(08:16):
he says, I don't really thinkit's about mechanics. It's really all about
being comfortable. So for him, that's what it is. It's you know,
I'm curious to see how he iswhen he struggled, because he hasn't
really had a cold shriek this year, So you know, I wonder how
that comfort and how he could dealwith failure, how that all translate now
that he's a lot more comfortable andsilly. Yeah, with the way he's

(08:37):
playing in now, bry Sarper potentiallyreturning, what does the top of the
lineup look like for you? Howwould you and what are some of the
ways that he can Rob Thompson evenbe flexible moving things around? What would
the ideal lineup with harperback look foryou right now? Yeah, this is
something that I wrote about a weekago, and it's a really interesting question.

(08:58):
I asked Rob about like a weekand half ago about it. He
said that he hasn't really thought aboutthat. Obviously. I don't think that's
true, but you know what Ilook at it, I think it's pretty
simple. All you have to dois insert Bryce Harper into the number three
hole, and everybody pretty much who'sdown a notch. So it's Bryce and
Stott leading off, Turner hitting second, Harper third, as DH, Costiano,

(09:20):
shoreber Real, Muto, Marsh Bowman, Sosa, and I think that's
a really good lineup. And evenwith Alex Boam struggling, I think eight
is a pretty good spot for him. And then you kind of moved some
of the guys based on just likeI don't know, I don't I'm not
sure if Turner should move down anotch just because he's been struggling, But

(09:43):
I'm kind of in the mindset thathe should stay there and see, you
know what it's like with him withUpward behind him. But for the most
part, with Harper, I thinkall you really have to do is insert
into the number three hole. Howconcerned are you about Turner's struggle so far
this season? You know, I'mnot too concerned about it. I tweeted

(10:05):
out a stat a couple of hoursago that he has a five thirty nine
ops against lefties in this month andit's actually the lowest of his career.
And I think, you know,a lot of what makes Turner a strong
hitter is that he does crush lefteven I think that's something that will eventually
come with time. But it lookslike he's chasing a little bit out of
his zone and he's just not comfortablein his at bats. But I think

(10:26):
the first couple of weeks of theyear, I was really impressed with his
at bats. He was, youknow, reaching out the outer half of
the play and really you know, sitting balls into right field and whatnot.
So I think Turner is just amatter of he's in a bad slump and
he don't really think of Turner atthe guy that's in these elongated slumps,
kind of like a shore bird. But I think Turner will eventually be fign.

(10:50):
I think so as well. We'retalking with Destiny Legardo, deputy editor
over a Phillies Nation. You canfollow her a Destiny Underscore. Legardo.
How encouraging was it to see Aaronolaand Zach Wheeler back to back great starts
and is that a sign of thingsto come? Do you feel like the
struggles maybe in the past for Nolanand Wheeler to start this season. Yeah,

(11:11):
it was really good to see AaronNola, you know, deliver against
a really good lineup. It's goodto see him go eight innings. I
think everybody after the seventh inning theywere kind of like, I don't think
Nola should to go back out there, but you know, he executed his
pitches. It's really good to seehim do well, especially with the velocity
being a little bit down. It'sI think he's learning how to pitch.

(11:37):
You know, he doesn't really havehis his A plus stuff right now,
but if he learns to get throughthose stretches, I think he could have
a really good year. And prettymuch the same with Zach Wheeler, and
it was a series that they reallyneeded both of those guys to step up.
So yeah, it's I think that'syou know, there's more to come
with those guys, but it's goodto see them both adjust to the pitch
clock. I think it's a littlebit harder for veterans because they've they've kind

(12:01):
of been used to this, youknow, baseball being the way it has
been, and then you know,it's kind of a shock to the system
for all the rule changes and whatnot. So it's going to take time for
them to really just and I thinkthat's what's happening right now. Yeah,
I think the only area of concernreally because the lineup has been good,
and obviously they're getting an MVP caliberplayer back the bullpen, which you're going
to talk about a little later. They have been the best in baseball for

(12:24):
pretty much two weeks now. It'sbeen the starting rotation that is has shown
the most red flags your evaluation ofthe starting rotation, and then obviously how
it might change with a guy likeRangers Suarez coming back soon hopefully. Yeah,
I mean, I'm of the opinionthat Nola and Wheeler will really start
to turn it on. I think, you know, the police have dodged

(12:46):
a bullet with Taiwan Walker. Iknow he's kind of prone to the bad
innings and command slips, but Ithink he's another guy that's gonna, you
know, turn it around. Andyou know, Bailey Falter didn't really have
that great of and outing time inHouston, but he's a perfectly fine number
five starter. I know he couldbe a little bit frustrating just because sometimes

(13:07):
he just makes bad pitches and doesn'texcute well and then it kind of spirals.
But um, you know, andI'm of the opinion that Matt Stram
has done a fantastic job as astarter, but I do think he's a
little bit better in that, youknow, one inning, two winning role
in the bullpen, and you dohave to be a little bit careful with
him just because he's two four inningslast year. I don't think he could

(13:28):
last an entire year as a starter. So um Ranger Suarez is gonna have
a He's gonna pitch in the minorstomorrow, so hopefully he's just a couple
of weeks away until he can return. The Phillies prefer to have him stretch
out to around ninety pitches, SoI think once Tuares gets back into the
rotation, once Trum's back in thebullpen, I mean, when you add

(13:50):
strammon to this bullpen that's already loadedwith top end, back end, Oham's
I think the pitching staff in generalis gonna be really, really good.
How flick do you think they willbe with Strom? You know, looking
at what Tampa Bay does, TampaBay will use openers or you know,
they'll have guys where they know onecan go a couple innings or two or

(14:11):
three innings and they know exactly theguy that they're going to use behind him.
How flexible do you think they willbe with Stram if he's not in
the starting rotation and using him insome other ways creative ways? Yeah,
I'm not sure. I guess thegood thing with Strama is that he's willing
to do anything. He's willing tostart and pitch five innings. He's willing
to be in the bullpin. SoI think it's a matter of them like

(14:31):
have one. I think a lotof those having a lot of believers who
are stretched out just not just togive you one inning. He's pretty valuable.
So I think that's that's where they'llhave Stram. Maybe he could be
that guy that you know comes inat the fifth inning in a pretty big
spot and gets to see you outand then hand it over to Alvarado,

(14:52):
do Minguez and whoever you want inthe seventh days or ninth inning. So
I think that's ultimately where Strama is. And you know, I was also
thinking maybe when Suarez does come backand this is I don't know if this
will happen, just because in Maythere's a lot of off days that they
could have a sixman rotation just togive Nola Wheeler a little bit more rest

(15:13):
and kind of monitor there inning workflows, and you know, obviously they picial
on the postseason, say you gotto keep that in mind. So yeah,
it's an interesting conversation to have. You obviously you have to be aware
of Strong's injury history and just thelack of work over the last few years,
but you should pretty much pitch anywhere, and that's the problem to have

(15:35):
talking with Destiny Legardo of Phillies Nation, Obviously, going over all things Phillies,
we went over Bryce Harper's return, starting rotation, but the star of
the show, Destiny, the bullpenhas been excellent that you posted a great
article over a Phillies Nation where youwent over I think five stats that impressed

(15:56):
you the most. What one wasthe eye catching one? The eye opening?
Okay, this is really proving justhow great the Phillies bullpen has been.
What's been that number for you thatreally was eye opening? I mean,
I think everything Alvarado has done sofar, and when he looked back
at the picture that he was twoyears ago, everything that he's done over
a month in the postseason, overthe last few months of last year,

(16:18):
it's just been incredible and I onething that I did have was at when
Alvarado gets two strips on the hitter, posing hitters are over thirty with twenty
four strikeout. So his motto isstrike one, strike two, and good
luck. It's something that he saidright after getting one of the nlbs,
and it was just this incredible moment. It was just like it was really

(16:41):
fun to be around him when thathappened. So it's really nice to see
Alvarado become the star that you know, when they traded for him a couple
of years ago, we saw thestuff and we saw the potential, but
he never really thought that he wouldput it all together. So it's pretty
incredible to see him not only honein his stuff but also become an eighty

(17:03):
grade command guy. He hasn't walkeda batter since last September in the regular
season, which I think is prettyincredible. That's insane for a guy that
his biggest issue of why he wentdown into the minors before his resurgence was
walks couldn't get it in the strikezone, and now we can. So
the cutter has been his signature pitch. It is somehow become the best pitch

(17:26):
in baseball. But do you think, what when you think of best pitches
in baseball, where does Alvarado's cutterland for you? Yeah? I don't
know. I mean it's really goodpitch considering that nobody could hit it,
I would put it up there withpretty much anything anybody else is throwing.

(17:47):
I mean, Spencer Strider hasn't relyin great pitches, but Alvarado like he's
seen the guy right now. Yeah, and you also speaking of just individual
pitches, soto slider has been effective. So what are the numbers there with
his slider and why has it beenso effective or why is he using it
more? Yeah? I mean itwas a flyer that he will slider itself.

(18:08):
He got away from last year. But opposing hitters are handing around one
hundred against it, and he's throwingit a little bit more this year.
So I think with Gregory Soda, and this is something that we were talking
about all Fair Route before we cameon, is that assilities really simplified his
delivery and it's paid, it's payimmediate dividends. His walk numbers are a

(18:30):
little bit down. I know hehad a shaky out in a couple times
ago, but he's starting to becomethat Alvarado light where he's striking out guys,
he's not walking a lot of guys, and he's just kind of he's
being that guy where if he comesin the game, they're like, oh,
like Thessillies are gonna Phillies are goingto win this game. So it's
nice to in general have a bullpenwhere it could say, like, Thessillies

(18:53):
have this lead and they're not goingto give it up, just because over
the past few years that really hasn'tbeen to East. So we've seen two
extremes for the Phillies bullpen. NowI was I was seeing a video that
was posted and talking about the Philliesand that you know, pitching is a
concern for the Phillies and it leavesthem as a team that may ultimately not

(19:15):
be a contender. Obviously I cansee that with the starting rotation. But
we've seen two extremes of the bullpen. I think of them as a strength.
How do you view the bullpen forthe Phillies. Yeah, I've viewed
the bullpen as their way back tothe World Series. And we reflect a
lot about how the Phillies lost tothe Astros and a lot of it has
to do with just they had awhole bunch of guys that they could throw

(19:38):
at them and they couldn't really doanything against them. So I think,
you know, they have to getto October, and they definitely have to.
They had their work cut out forthem that they're going to make the
playoffs again. But if all ofthese guys are healthy and pitching well and
have good command and they're not walkingguys the way they are right now,
they could win the World Series withAlvarado the best reliever in baseball, with

(20:02):
Strom hopefully being that one or twowinning guy. If the starting rotation is
healthy. You know, Broadden wasunreal in the postseason last year, and
even Cid Campbell has been a verynice surprise. So I see this union
as the team's absolute strength, andif they do win a World Series this
year, I think we're going tobe talking a lot about how good this

(20:22):
bullpen is and overall evaluation for thePhillies. After a month, they're sitting
fifteen fourteen, four and a halfgames back from first place in the National
League East. They're obviously playing theirbest baseball now and over the past couple
of weeks or seventy three in theirlast ten, but through already a month
of baseball. Your overall evaluation ofwhere the Phillies stand right now, Yeah,

(20:45):
I mean in general, I'm alwayssomeone who says give it time.
And it was interesting. I waslistening to a podcast the other day and
they were talking about teams that werein the bottom third of the standings last
year and only one of them madethe playoffs. And then you look at
teams ever in the top third lastyear and only like half of them made
the playoffs. But if you're inthe middle, it doesn't really tell you

(21:06):
much about how they're seasons go.And I think that's pretty true for the
Phillies right now. So they didhave a nice stretch to kind of reach
that five mark, and I'm kindof expecting better things now with that.
Bryce Harper is back in the lineupa lot sooner than they expected it to
be. In the bullpen and therotation we're getting going last question for a
Destiny Legato of Phillies Nation. Wetalked about, you know, the starting

(21:30):
rotation, still having to figure thingsout. Maybe they can add an arm
any chance old Vinnie Velasquez might return. Have you seen what he's been doing.
Oh, I think this fan basewould has been part of the ground
if Miss Philaska's came back. Butyou know, if he's a good picture
whatever. Yeah, it's fun tosee what he's doing right now. That

(21:52):
guy has worked hard and seems likehe's I don't know if he added a
slider, but certainly seems like he'sperfected a little bit more. It's fun
to see what he's doing. Yeah, he's always been a guy that's had
really good stuff, but he hasn'tbeen able to put it together, kind
of like Nick Pavetta, where it'sjust you know, they get in their
heads a little bit. And oh, for sure, I don't. I

(22:14):
don't, I don't. I don'tunderstand how the Pirates are able to do
this, But kudos to them.Yeah, I don't know either, I
said, last question, But truelast question, because you bring up the
Pirates. What's been the most surprisingthing for after a month of baseball?
Um, I'm surprised at how goodthe Pirates are. Um not surprised that,

(22:34):
you know, the Braves seem tobe the top dog in the National
League, yist, But um,I was a little surprised at just how
slow the Dodgers were to start theseason, and obviously they're starting to pick
it up. But I was alwaysof the opinion that, um, you
know, no matter how bad they'reall season looked like they're the Dodgers and
they're going to figure it out.Um, you know, the Padres are

(22:56):
Solos start has been a little bitsurprising, but yeah, I think that's
That's one thing I like about thefirst month as a regular season is at
a team like the Pirates can getoff to a hot start and then we
can start dreaming a little bit aboutwhat they can be. But ultimately what
will probably happen is that they comedown to earth a little bit. But
who knows. Maybe we're talking aboutthe Phillies being in a wild card race

(23:18):
in August and the Pirates are right, Yeah, that will that be something.
Andrew McCutcheon having a resurgence back inPittsburgh and helping the Pirates potentially get
to a wildcard. They remind meI've been saying this lot, but they
remind me a lot of the Oriolesfrom last year. Young team maybe doing
better than they should be at thisstage, of some of the players in
their development in their careers, butgood players and players it certainly can go

(23:44):
and stretches like this. Destiny, thank you so much for joining me.
It's not often I'm able to getyou on because you're so busy covering the
Phillies all season for Phillies Nation, but it's always a treat when I do
get you on. You have beenfantastic on the line change every time you
come on here. Love reading yoursuff Philli's Nation and look forward to reading
more from you. Yeah, John, thanks for having me. That is
Destiny Legardo. You can follow heradd to Destiny Underscore. Legardo again does

(24:07):
a phenomenal job over a Phillies Nation, and I do suggest taking a look
at that article. She did areally good job. The five numbers that
stand out the most as the Philliesbullpen has been on this incredible run of
dominance so in that I'll just atleast start with the top. Since April
sixteenth, the bullpen is posted aleague best point nine one era their rank

(24:30):
number one in phip F four andwalks per nine innings in that same span.
The Phillies are also four and ohin one run games over the last
thirteen and that includes a one tonothing win over Seattle. This is dominance.
This is a strength I think becauseof the Phillies bullpen woes previously.

(24:51):
I mean they and they were woes. They were bad, and I think
that's how the Phillies bullpen is stillviewed. Obviously better, but they're not
viewed as one of the top bullpensin baseball. When I thought with what
they added with Soto, Kimbroll,I know is a bit washed, even
though he's starting the pitch very wellright now, and the type of picture

(25:11):
that Alvarado is, it does feellike that the Phillies bullpen is getting a
bit overlooked. Brogden's giving them goodinnings too, and now Matt Stroum whenever
Ranger Suarez returns, that's just evenmore depth and a lefty at that this
bullpen might be one of the best. So anytime I hear that about the

(25:37):
Phillies, I understand starting rotation issues. Their starting rotation is going through some
injury problems, struggles. How Wheelerand Ola respond are going to obviously dictate
how good the starting rotation actually is, but there are at least signs already

(26:02):
that they're trending in the right directionand Wheeler and Nola are eventually going to
start looking like their ace selves andlike the cy young candidates that they've been
over the past couple of years. So there are legitimate concerns. I think
with the starting rotation. Tallan Walkerhasn't been great to start again. We
know Nolan Wheeler have been struggling tostart the season, Ranger Suarez has been

(26:26):
hurt, hasn't pitched yet, andBailey Falter has not been good. But
there that seems to be trending ina better direction, and I think it
is going to get better with Wheelerand Nola and obviously whenever Ranger Swarez returns.
But the bullpen, that's a strengththat's not a weakness, that's not
a problem, that is a fullblown strength, and it's a unit that

(26:52):
for me makes them a contender.Obviously, we've seen the extremes. We've
seen the extreme in the first partof the month and the first part of
the early portion of the season wherethey struggled and they couldn't get anybody out,
and now we're seeing the extreme ofnobody can hit the Phillies. But
I lean more towards this being whatthe Phillies bullpen actually is. You know,

(27:17):
I'm not even gonna go well,it's somewhere in the middle. I
don't think it's somewhere in the middle. I think you're not gonna get any
ARRA of under one. But theseare the kind of runs this bullpen can
go off of. With even SirAnthony Dominguez getting better, he started off
terribly. Now his RARA has goneback down and he's on a one,

(27:37):
two, three, four, five, six six inning scoreless streak, or
at least six games scoreless. Ithink it's even more than that, not
six counting, but that's great becausehe started off poorly, so he's looking
dominant again. It's there's a lotof quality arms, a lot of guys

(28:02):
that have even been surprising, likeI think Connor brogged in. Overall,
I think this Phillies bullpen is setup for massive success. And if that's
the case, I think it evenhelps you're starting pitching problems, because you're
starting pitching problems are one thing, but then when you can hand it off
to a bullpen that's so deep,it's nice to be able to lean on
that. And the Phillies certainly havebeen doing so, and it's great success
