I'm Ben Parker. Here's what's happening. Jurors and the Karen
Reid retrial are in the deliberation room. They heard lengthy
instructions today from Judge Beverly Canoni before beginning their deliberation.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Every person who was accused of a crime is presumed
to be innocent of that crime. Miss Reid is presumed
innocent of the charges in this case. That means you
must consider Miss Reid to be innocent unless the prosecution
has proved beyond a reasonable doubt through evidence presented at
this trial that Miss Reid committed the crime's charge.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Karen Reid is accused of hitting her boyfriend John o'keef
with the RESUV, then leaving him for dead in the
snow and canton the three charges before the jury second
to green murder, vehicular manslaughter while driving under the influence,
and leaving the scene. They have separate instructions for each charge.
Will continue to monitor the jury deliberations and bring you

Iran retaligates for deadly attacks by Israel on nuclear sites.
CBS's Christopher Cruz has the latest.

CBS News special report. Iran has launched missiles at Israel,
whose defense systems are intercepting many of them, but some
have landed, including in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. An American
official now confirms the US is helping Israel intercept the missiles.
The IDF has ordered all citizens into shelters. CBS News

People are hunkering down in those bomb shelters at home.

If you don't have a bomb shelter in your own apartment,
then you would go downstairs to one that's in the
apartment building.

Troops at two US bases, one in Iraq and one
in Syria, were ordered into bunkers about an hour ago.
They've now left. It was shelters. CBS's Margaret Brenda.

Secretary of State Rubio was working the phones hours in
advance of the Israeli initial strike, warning allies that something
was coming. But this is not US.

The crisis in the Middle East has international traveler it's
concerned for their safety and security in the region as
a whole.

Bari, a Turkish traveler arriving at Logan Airport on a
flight from London, views the hostilities between Israel and Iran
with a sense of both concern and resignation.

I feel safe, there's no problem with that, but I
wouldn't fly in the area like ire on Israel or Asia.
I would not fly there for the moment.

Yeah, a little too risky over there. It's a very
scarre The Turkish traveler prefers not to take sides, but
questions Israel's intentions.

People are tying for no reason. That's all because Israel
wants to sept them, create, create a big Israel. You
are powerful that it doesn't mean you are right. You
are already start right at the moment. Israel. It's powerful
a bit America, but it doesn't mean they are always right.

with the Pope. The couple brought a White Sox hat
for Pope Leo during their honeymoon at the Vatican. It
was a hit, in fact, a grand slam. CBS News

you mind putting these on? He could have put his
hand up and said no, he'd laughed.

I'm not because we're Red Sox fan.

And the couple says, the White Sox hat is now
a family heirloom anyone who knows. In fairness, they're the
second worst team in baseball right now, so the White
Sox could use a little bit of help from the Pope.
