Starting in Denham Over at the Karen Reid murder re trial,
the prosecution is grilling doctor Daniel Wolfe. He is a
crash reconstruction expert, and right now they're asking him more
questions about his testing methodology. Wolf and a report found

in la are hoping things calm down a bit today
after three days of violent protests in the city, the
protesters fighting back against ICE. Here's ABC's Alex Stone.

PA's here at LA say there is a difference between
the protesters who are taking part in anti ice rallies
during the day versus those who are coming out at
night to violently battle the police and loot stores. LAPD
Chief Jim McDonald.

When I look at the people who are out there
doing the violence. That's not the people that we see
during the day who will legitimately out there exercise in
their First Amendment rights.

There's a whole being a week day that things will
calm down tonight. All of downtown LA has been declared
non lawful assembly and people are subject to arrest Alex Stone,
ABC News Los Angeles protesters.

Are blaming the president's decision to deploy the National Guard
for an uptick in violence. They're just making no worse.
It's just making us not trust our own government.

sue the federal government over.

This news misthreatening the lawsuit over what he called an illegal, immoral,
and unconstitutional deployment of the National Guard as protests took
place across Los Angeles.

I care about my community. I care about this community.

Some accuse the president of putting fuel on the fire
of the crisis, while also daring former ICE director Tom
Holman and Trump to arrest him for allegedly aiding and
abetting undocumented immigrants in the state. The governor went on
to add that the federal order to deploy the National
Guard violated established protocols requiring coordination with state governors. I'm

Here in Massachusetts. A protest is planned in response today
at Boston City Hall Plaza. This has been organized by
mass five H five oh one. The organization says it
quote vigorously condemns the violent actions of ICE in the
administration against the protesters in LA. The rally is set
for about one thirty this afternoon. A group in its
demands also calling on Governor more Heely to better protect

Massachusetts residents from federal forces, Attorney General Andrea Campbell to
prosecute arrests by ICE as kidnappings, and local labor unions
to go on strike until all these demands are met.
For the rest of the afternoon, you will notice it's
going to be a little bit foggy out there at times,
and it's just going to be gray and generally a
bit dreary out there. We've got temperatures in the upper

sixties in some spots warming up quite nicely, but most
of us are in the upper fifties, low sixties, and
that's about where we'll stay today, with a couple of
passing showers. For tonight, mostly cloudy with a few showers
in spots and a low in the mid fifties. Then
for tomorrow, drizzle to start, but we'll have some heavier,
steadier showers. Those will come through in the afternoon, maybe

a couple of rumbles of thunder. We have a high
in the mid upper sixties, but low seventies if you're
north and west. For your Wednesday, mostly sunny, breezy, and
a high year eighty Thursday hazy sunshine and a high
just about eighty sixty one in Gloucester right now, saying
sixty two in Westborough sixty five as you make your
way into North Attleborough and in Boston at eleven oh five, foggy,

gray and sixty one degrees. The school year is about
to be done here in a couple of weeks, and
the question becomes what do you do with your kids?

Summer camps are the obvious go to for many kids
after that final twenty twenty five school bell rings, but
some camps are costly, and families can find themselves looking
for other activities.

You're kind of fill in those gaps, and I think
the rest are too.

Pamela has her two kids volunteering this summer. They're pairing
back from two camps to one and the loss of
me visiting Gramma and Grandpa for a while.

On top of the summer sports and camps, there's also
a long list of free activities and also some free
camps for many communities. Just got to keep your eyes
peeled because many of us are in the same boat
watching every dollar.

fun to do too.

A new study is finding teenagers who burn the midnight
oil are more self destructive than their better rested counterparts.
Speaker 7 (04:53):
Researchers used dana from two hundred and ten teenagers who
completed questionnaires to measure their impulsivity and sleep patterns. The
teens also provided saliva samples and were of sleep tracking device.
The study found that teens who'd like to stay up
late were more likely to act impulsively when experiencing negative emotions.
Researchers say parents may be able to help their teens
by encouraging normal sleep hours. I'm Mark Mayfield.

Researchers said the gender plays a big role when it
comes to your opinion on abortion rights. Here's Roy O'Neil.

Three years after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade,
support for abortion rights is splitting along gender lines. A
new Gallup survey find sixty one percent of women call
themselves pro choice, compared to forty one percent of men.
Is abortion morally acceptable? Fifty seven percent of women said yes,
forty percent of men say the same. Fifty six percent

of women said abortion should be legal in most circumstances.
