get started at six o'clock on this Friday morning in Boston,
it is sixty three degrees. The News at six brought
to us by your new England Toyota Dealer, your hybrid
all wheel drive headquarters. Thanks for being with us this morning.

We'll limit sun and we'll have a high of seventy
two hots. WBZ Achi weather meteorologist Heather's are not a
washout as it turns out this weekend. In fact, most
of the rain occurs tomorrow morning. We'll be in the
sixties pretty much all weekend. But it's a little bit
better than we initially anticipated. Whether forecasters are banking on
the future. For the first time, the National Hurricane Center
(00:55):
will use artificial intelligence to improve its forecasts for the
most powerful storms that tend to kill tens of thousands
of people around the world each year. The announcement comes
just as hurricane season cake takes off. The agency is
teaming up with a Google company to supply the National
Weather Service Division with predictive modeling that it claims is
far more accurate compared to earlier versions of its AI models,
(01:19):
and it will provide comparisons to back up those claims.
The Hurricane Center says this does not mean human hands
will be eliminated. This is just another tool in the shed.
There's no place like home, But in much of Greater Boston,
it's not about paying the mortgage. The landlord gets the spoil.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
The Boston region is among the top five metro areas
where the number of renters has increased them most recently.
Brookline and Watertown are now two suburbs that have become
renter majority communities over the past five years. That's according
to a new report that says the rise of the
renter suburb is not a blip, but rather a fundamental
shift in how Americans live and think about housing, especially
(01:57):
for millennials and even gen z. Soaring home prices are
also a big factor in Brookline. James Rojas w b

Months of preparation, in more than thirty days of testimony,
and it all comes down to this closing arguments and
the Karen Reid murder trial, set to begin this morning
in Norfolk Superior Court. The jury is told to arrive
early today. The defense goes first. It will present a
drastically different closing to jurors compared to Reid's first trial,
and will abend in a third party culprit strategy. The
(02:28):
prosecution will get the final word before jurors get the case.
When the jury does reach its verdict, WBZ News Radio
will carry the decision live for you right here or

morning at Oakmont Country Club just outside Pittsburgh. Comfortable start
this morning in Boston. A lot of the humidity has
been drained from the atmosphere, and we're in for a
pretty decent day today at sixty three right now in
the city, partly cloudy skies, some sunshine mixing with the
clouds throughout the day. Today, high temperatures will be in
the low to mid seventies, substantially cooler than yesterday, but
(03:32):
certainly not bad as we head into another weekend with
a little bit of rain on the way, but it
does look like most of the precipitation will come down
tomorrow morning and maybe extend into the early afternoon hours.
The winds, however, are going to be off the water,
and so temperatures tomorrow will be relatively chilly for this
time of year, highs only in the low to maybe
mid sixties. Father's Day is Sunday, and that looks a
(03:55):
little bit better than even just yesterday, with some sunshine
poking through the clouds. So let's call it a mix
of clouds and sun on Dad's Day on Sunday, and
a little bit milder too, with highs in the mid
to upper sixties. And of course we get back in
action on Monday, under mostly cloudy skies, we'll see sixties
for high temperature then, but eventually we'll be back in
the eighties by the middle of next week. Right now
(04:17):
in Boston, it is sixty three degrees and partly cloudy
skies at six oh five on this Friday morning here
