The FAA is freezing its plants to further reduced flights
by eight percent a day and then by ten percent tomorrow. Instead,
flight reductions are staying at six percent. Following news the
government's shutdown has come to an end, which sounds good
for those flying out of Logan.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
It makes you feel good. I'm I travel a lot
for work, so kind of rely on it. It's kind of
part of my job. So flights are definitely important.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
You know, less stress knowing that we're going to get
too from point A to point B without having the
disruption of having to spend more time traveling.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says the FAA is encouraged
to see air traffic control staffing surge and they feel
comfortable with pausing the reduction schedule at Logan. James Rojas WBZ,

And already on the board is Logan Airport. This morning,
fifty flights are affected, according to Flight Aware. More Americans
are ready to hit the road permanently. A new Gallop
survey finds forty percent of young women are considering leaving
the United States for good. That's more than twice the
share of American men. A recent trend started showing signs
of increased activity just before President Trump took office in

(01:59):
his first term and stepped up from there. Since the
Supreme Court overturned abortion rights, women now seem to lack
faith in the United States and see their futures elsewhere.
It's going to be just like old times. The Patriots

Football with the Jets at Gilatte. The Pats will go
for eight wins in a row.

to the left offic side, It plays out review, three
steps in.

Front Fox Burrow, Drew Mahoalden WZ Boston's news radio, and tonight.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
The Patriots will wear their brand new Nor'easter alternate uniforms
against the Jets tonight. Well, today is World's Kindness Day.
Could you be kind? This has gone international too, That's
why it's called World Kindness Day. The goal is to
highlight good deeds done in communities all across the planet.

(03:28):
World Kindness Day now thirty years old. Go ahead, do
something nice for someone today. How as cold this morning
as in recent starts to the day, We're at forty
three right now in Boston, and a lot of the
cities and towns that were in the twenties previously are
in the thirties this morning, so I guess we're making
a little bit of progress. We'll see temperatures right around

(03:48):
fifty today, so that's also warmer than it's been in
recent days. We'll start with some clouds and sun today.
It's going to continue to be breezy. There's also a
good chance that those clouds are going to squeeze out
a couple of rain drops later on in the afternoon
and into the overnight hours, which is also going to
be breezy tonight. Plenty of clouds early and then gradual
clearing as temperatures will drop mainly into the forties or

(04:10):
to the thirties rather overnight Tonight, mixture of clouds and sun.
Tomorrow fairly quiet way to wrap up this abbreviated workweek
with highs only in the mid forties again tomorrow, and
it looks like it's a pretty dicey weekend too, Saturday
night into Sunday. Next round of some potentially heavy rain
headed our way. Right now, it's forty three and mostly
cloudy in Boston coming up on sunrise. It's six oh

(04:31):
six this Thursday morning. An alligator in the Charles is
real and it's spectacular.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
Well days after being spotted, it appears the baby American
alligator that was found swimming in the Charles River lagoon
has now been caught. Local animal educator Joseph Kenney of
Abington of Joe's Crazy Critters making a post to Instagram
of himself holding the baby gator and is now finding
a safer home for the little guy. Kenny said it

(04:59):
to just fifteen minutes to find the animal after he
learned of its presence there. He went on to say,
while the baby gator itself was not dangerous, the animal
being in such cold waters is dangerous to itself. And
now there's a mission to nurse him back to health
and find him a safe home. Jim McKay WBZ Boston's
News radio Reality Check.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Ski season is officially underway in New England.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Yes, the first snow is fallen. Tempts are cold enough
to support snowmaking, Let's do it. Killington and Vermont Sunday
River and Maine will both be open to the public
for the first ski runs this morning. Killington boasts the
longest ski season in New England. Both have claimed to
be the first slopes to roll out. The Red Carpet
Annual pass holders were the first to christen the snow

(05:46):
with the first runs of the season yesterday. Matt Phipps
WBZ Boston's news Radio This is.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
A rude awakening. Starbucks is on strike as workers hit
him where it hurts. Baristas in forty cities walk off
the job today, not included any locations here in Boston.
It's the company's biggest sales day of the holiday season.
It's Red Cup Day and the Natives that Starbucks are
restless workers and dozens of stores will take action in

(06:13):
an open ended strike, which officials say could expand in
the coming days. Contract talks are stuck in neutral with
the company, and as of this morning, more than a
thousand baristas are off the job. You are now in
the loop for news updates throughout the day. Listen to

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
