Someone said, hey, no, I did not like that song
at all. And then someone said, hey, anything Kane Brown
sings has a sexy B to it, I have to agree.
And then someone said, I am not a fan of
that new song. Then again, I feel like this whole
hip hop country thing is ruining country music.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Okay, So we are divided, it seems. Give me your opinion.
Let me know. We're gonna play again at nine o'clock
if you missed it.

Israel launched a series of preemptive airstrikes on Iran in
an operation and dubbed Rising Lion early this morning, targeting
nuclear related sites and ballistic missile infrastructure and high ranking officials.
Iran retaliated by launching more than one hundred drones, which
Israeli's air defense attempted to intercept. Israel declared a nationwide

(01:19):
state of emergency, closed its airspace, and warned of Iranian retaliation.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio made it clear that the
US was not involved and urged Iran not to target
US interests. Okay, did you guys see how about that
video of the Air India plane that went down yesterday?

(01:39):
It was a Boeing eight A seven eighty seven to
eight Dreamliner taking off for London from India and it
suddenly crashed into residential quarters of a doctor's college near
the airport. Two hundred and forty two people on board.
Two hundred and forty one people are dead. One lone
passenger survived.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
That's I can't like, I can't even wrap my head
around that. How did he survive?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
He got up, he said he was there, He stood up,
There were bodies all around him. He ran from the
plane and then someone grabbed him and put him in
an ambulance. He has multiple injuries all over his body,
but he lived and nobody else did.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It's I don't know. I'm shocked anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
There's there's videos all over social media of it if
you want to see it, But just why, just a
wild story.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
It's the Michael J Morning Show. Michael's on vacation. You
guys have to help me with this, okay. I we
were a house divided last night. Here's what happened. We
start talking about die Coke because I'm a huge die
Coke fan, and I think that there's a hierarchy in
different die Cokes, Like you know, a two leader would

(04:57):
be the worst, and then like a can would be
selec above that, and then like a crispy Fountain diet
coke would be like epic, okay, but the people in
my household were like, no, no, no, no, no, there's
no difference. It's the same stuff in just different and
I'm like, no, no, no, it is not the same. So
then we started going off on noodles. Okay, And here's

(05:18):
what I mean about that. Somebody at my house last
night declared that all noodles taste the same, and then
everybody else was like, no, they don't.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
But they are kind of all made out of the
same thing.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
So do they taste the same or I think that
they If you just cook them in boiling water, they
would probably all taste the same. But they all absorb
different sauces differently, so maybe that's why.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
They taste it. And then some people hate angel hair.
There's like an entire fan club out there of anti
angel hair people, so and I'm like, what did angel
hair ever do to anybody?

Speaker 1 (06:00):
I think it's one of my favorite pastas. Anyway, weigh in.
Do you think different sodas taste different depending on what
kind of container they come in, and or do all
noodles taste the same? This topic makes people very angry,
so don't get too heated up as you're texting me
or calling me. But I do think it's high time

(06:21):
we got to the bottom of this, and we'll listen
to Shaboozi sing a little good news in the meantime.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Now, what the hell of it's been?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
All right, We're just trying to settle a debate on
ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
It's the Michael j Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Michael's on vacation, so we can't get his opinion on this,
but we can definitely ask him money when he gets back.
I believe that there is a hierarchy of sodas, with
the Fountain Soda being the absolute top tier. And you know, frankly,
they're certain restaurants you know that don't count in my opinion.
And then we so we were talking about this in

(07:06):
my house yesterday. Then we started talking about noodles and
if there's a hierarchy of noodles, and then someone was like,
all noodles tastes the same, and I.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Was like, I don't know, do they like? I think
they kind of do, but like maybe they don't.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
So just getting y'all's opinion on this, someone says, I
don't wait, I don't drink soda, so I can't weigh
in on that. I don't think noodles taste different, but
the textures are different and that makes a big difference.
Someone said angel hair is the best, and I think
it tastes the same unless it's the tri color ones.
Oh so okay, So the noodles that are different color
taste different.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I don't. I don't think that's true, is it.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Someone said I definitely agree with the hierarchy of SODA's
fountain soda being the top, plastic bottle being the bottom. Yes,
I also think noodles taste different depending on their shape
and density. Angel hair is one of my favorites. Someone said,
you are a million percent right about diet coke. The
tall sixteen ounce ice cold can is elite fountain drink.

(08:01):
Oh I forgot about the tall can. You're right, fountain
drink is number two.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
I disagree with you. There anything in the bottles at
the bottom. This is not up for debate. Oh okay,
all right. Someone said plain pasta tastes the same, but
with different sauces it tastes different. My choice of soda
is coke best to worst is as follows glass bottle,
McDonald's fountain other fountain cold can two liter. Thanks, that's Ashley.

(08:27):
All noodles are not created equally. Someone said ramen does
not taste like egg noodles. Well, egg noodles and rice
noodles are different because they're made out of different stuff.
So I don't feel like that doesn't that's we're just
talking about.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Semolina or this is silly, but it is important. Someone
said pasta does taste different. What you need to look
for is one of those one with one ingredient semlina.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Yeah, you don't feel as bloated, and the flavor is better,
no extra ingredients. It's healthier for you. Oh so I
love this. Thank you for weighing in. Good morning, good morning.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
Back the day.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
Fountain is the best. But here's the most important thing
that I recently just discovered. Go into a decent, normal restaurant.
They serve you a fountain coat in a glass jar,
a glass glass, not plastic. And you go to a
fast food restaurant, get your diet coat in the paper

(09:23):
wax cup. Clearly it's better in the glass. Take it
and do a taste test yourself. It's amazing. The difference.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
I believe you. I believe you. The coated.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Glass, the coated paper cup is diabolical. That's bad.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
Yeah, so better than a two lear But clearly the
absolute king of diet coat is in a glass with
a lot of ice.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Now, what about the noodle thing?

Speaker 6 (09:53):
The noodles are I'm going to agree with you. It
probably if you just cooked them all in water, I'm
sure they would taste similar. But yeah, these some noodle,
coca noodle, and chicken soups literally gonna taste difference to
something else. And I'm a big fan of angel here.
It's my favorite too.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
You you know what, you seem like a woman who
really knows what she's talking about. And I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
I know what I'm calling me that. Thank you so
much for calling. I hope you have a great weekend
you too, by bye. All right, so obviously I've opened
it wound.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Here we're talking about noodles and pasta and do different
shapes taste differently? And also soda depending on its container,
does it taste different? Someone said, I think all noodles
taste the same. Then somebody else said, hey, I think
noodles taste different. Someone said pasta is pasta not noodles. Oh,

(10:50):
now you're taking issue with what I call it. And
then then we're talking about the tricolor pasta. I think
that does taste different, and someone else agrees it does
taste different. My eight year old loves pasta noodles. My
husband loves the thin ones. Then someone said coke and
plastic bottles at the bottom of the pyramid.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
I cannot agree more.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
And speaking of things that are volatile, the new Cane
Brown song, Oh, some people love it, some people hate it.
I was gonna play it at nine o'clock, but I
think I'm gonna play it at eight just because I
want to get y'all's opinion. You guys are ready to
share your opinions, and I love them.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Ninety three point one WPOC traffic All right, ninety three
point one wpo C Now, Trudy.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Oh, okay. Did you see the video of Calerupken Jr.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
And John Harbaugh failing to attempt to catch a foul
ball at the Orioles game the other night?

Speaker 2 (11:44):
It was pretty It was pretty cute, actually, I can
imagine like if you're the players, you're like, oh god,
it almost hit cal No.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Well, now John Harbo's brother is roasting him. He said,
you see the lesson here is you gotta keep your
eye on the ball.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
That was a can of corn. I think the John
and Jim Harbaugh brotherly love situation is adorable. I love
their relationship all right.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Israel launched a series of preemptive air strikes on Iran
in an operation dubbed Rising Lion, targeting nuclear related sites,
ballistic missile infrastructure, and high ranking officials early this morning.
According to Iranian state media, Major General Hussein Somali, head

(12:32):
of the Revolutionary Guard, and other nuclear scientists were killed.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Iran retaliated by launching more than one hundred.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Drones, which Israeli's air defense attempted to intercept. Israel declared
a nationwide state of emergency, closed its airspace, and warrened
of retaliation. The US, via Secretary of State Marco Rubio,
made it clear that we were not involved, but stressed
it would protect American forces and urged Iran to target

(13:00):
US interests.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
So that's happening right now as we speak.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
And lastly, a couple of prades to tell you about tomorrow.
Of course, the Pride Parade here in Baltimore, and the

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Kylie Kelsey says she's absolutely never doing Dancing with the Stars.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
They recently asked her and she was like, oh, heck no.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Kate Beckinsale is suing the producers of her latest movie
for exposing her to unsafe conditions. Country music is getting
a new Grammy category, Best Traditional Country Album. It's the
only new music category being added for the sixty eighth
annual Grammy Awards in twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
There's going to be a new Christmas Carol movie.

Speaker 1 (14:31):

I don't know where else they could go with that story,
Like I think it's over, but whatever. Allison Janny is
going to be the president in the Diplomat season three,
and I'm wondering if she wouldn't mind doing that in
real life also, that might be a good idea. And

(14:54):
then lastly, The Pit season two featuring Noah Wiley, will
premiere in January on Everybody Loving that show right now?

Speaker 5 (15:03):
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (15:03):

There's an accident on eighty three southbound.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Boo too up copy a little bitty Jude.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Okay, it's Caine Brown, ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
That's backseat driver. But he's got a new song that
we're gonna premiere world premiere at seven o'clock, so in
about I don't know, twenty three minutes.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I mean, it's not great, it's coming up soon. Though,
we're gonna play his new song. It's called two Pair.
I saw a video yesterday's so cute online. He went
to Walmart and he like stole the phone from behind
the service desk and he was like, Hi, everybody, this
is Caane Brown and here's a clip of my new song.
And then he played it over the loudspeaker at Walmart,
and then one of the employees came and was like,

(15:53):
what are you doing.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
It's just cute.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Check out his Instagram and then stick around because we're
gonna debut that song. And he's of course gonna be
our headliner for Saturday in the Country and tickets are
on sale now at WPOC dot com. Ari, here's what
we're gonna get into today. What smell do you secretly
love but you can't explain why? So these would be
like traditionally stinky smells, but you kind of like them.

(16:18):
You're gonna text me at seven seven nine six two,
begin your message with higher hay or call eight hundred
three two one thirty six ninety three. What's inspired this
today is because a Father's Day and I think of
my dad as I don't know a lot of times
he smelled a little stinky, but I liked it. Like,
for instance, here's what I mean. He was like a

(16:39):
road crew, so he would like blacktop and he would
do he would fix stuff, and he would always smell
like gasoline, and like, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Just manly smells.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
And I'm just like so whenever I smell that, Whenever
I'm like at a gas station and I smell gas,
it like makes me think of my dad. So I
was thinking for Father's Day, like what kind of like
you know, do you have some of these? I have
talked to some people recently who said that their dad
always used to smell like a pipe, you know, so
they when they most people think that's stinky, but then
if you think about it, you're like, oh dad. Here

(17:11):
are some other ones that people have, uh have texted
in sharpies, especially the black new ones.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
I can pull a sharpie out and sniff that. You're like, yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Someone else said chlorine. They like the smell of chlorine.
I don't know that one. Hmmm, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Someone said basements. I just love the way basements smell.
I don't know why. Then someone said the gym. All
gyms smell the same. Somebody likes it. I don't know
if that's my favorite, but that's the whole point. What's
stinky that you like that nobody else does. Let's see
what y'all say. Text me seven seven ninety six to two.
Begin your message with high or hey, it's Brooks and
done right now, Red dirt Road, Happy Friday, guys, Good morning.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
Rest around.

Speaker 5 (18:00):
Out last were the black Top Binge, We'd walk to church,
jonesymore and race Bear put back to j all.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Right, y'all are some weirdos, but I love it all right.
Ninety three point one WPOC Good morning.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
It's the Michael j Morning Show. Michael's on vacation.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
We are talking about stinky smells that you like that
nobody else does. Someone says the faint smell of a
skunk on a summer evening with your favorite country music
drifting in the wind, it points for creativity. Someone says
my boyfriend's sweat.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
I heard from someone who said that they love the
smell of brand new sneakers, the number one smell in
the world, they said. On the text, someone said new babies.
Christy loves the smell of a gas station. Someone likes
the smell of gas and sharpiees at the same time
steam crabs or old spice that I don't know if

(19:04):
you understood the assignment, but it does sound delicious. Someone
says I'm a weirdo because I like the smell of
a match when it's first lit. I guess it's the sulfur.
I like Joe loves fresh cut grass. Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Someone said heating oil or diesel fuel. Someone said walking
through pine trees. Someone said puppy paws. I think that's

(19:27):
just cute to think about. Someone else said I love
the smell of skunk. It reminds me of the country.
And then someone said, hey, can I request Reba? Okay,
thanks for playing. I don't see if I can get
some revond for you. Here's Veranda Mama's Broken Heart ninety
three point one w POC.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Speaking of wind, someone said, weirdly enough, I like the
smell of a window air conditioner unit that musty air.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Lol.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
So someone else said that they like it when you
turn the heater on for the first time after not
using it for a few months.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
It's like burnt dust.

Speaker 6 (20:08):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
We're talking about weird smells that you love that nobody
else does. Someone said, the smell of my old kindergarten
classroom in the nineties. I never knew what that smell
was or where it came from, But every once in
a while I'll catch a whiff of it and it'll
make me smile thinking of simpler times. Oh, that's really nostalgic.
And then someone said, hey, Bethany, I love puppy breath.

(20:31):
Someone else said, I love the smell of diesel. Okay,
I'm into that, like the mechanical smells.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
I hear you.
