Hard we've been doing this show together now over a year,
and you've been great.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
You know what I tell my son, I say, you know,
I remember Mark was up on seven and one when
this thing first started. I was in the city with you.
Remember that.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
I remember.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
I remember.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
And now the guy that was in the other station,
he and I are partners.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Oh that's great man.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah, it's exciting, exciting, exciting times. And I appreciate you
hopping on with us. And you got some things that
you have going on. You got your new Earl Campbell
signature collection of handbags that are going out.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
So tell us a little bit about that.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Well, I think if it had to all be said
and said right, you know, the legendary Downing Lowe who
pay Quarterback at UT introduced me many years ago to
these Kellys and the Kelly's own something called Shoe Hospital
in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin. So that time

(02:00):
originally got hooked up with the Kelly So we've maintained
friends over the years and just summon around. We all
just got the three of us got to talking and
we decided that we would come up with this luggage
called Earl Campbell at TOATS and you could pick them
up at on Instagram. You could find out anything you

(02:22):
want to know about from Kelly Toats. So it's something
that we're just starting, but we're hoping to come out
with many different bags and stuff over the future. And
we came out with this one just in Father's Day
just to seeah I would do. So we think it's
something's gonna be great. And Deluks, we're real good friends

(02:44):
with those people, so we're gonna be launching it in
they stores and all in the future.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Well, we're gonna We're gonna definitely post some photos on
our site and on our social media.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Is about the product.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Uh, mister earl Is, I would be remiss without saying,
you know how it's getting that time for that summer football.
Oh yeah, Like how you feeling about our lawhorns?

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Well, man, I feel real good. I think I coach
over at the University is doing. It's amazing because I
haven't played football over there in years, but I've been
associated with the university since nineteen seventy four when I
came here and the darn Royots and Fred Akers and
Mac Brown and this coach over there. Now, it just

(03:33):
seems that they're doing the same thing back when they
did in nineteen seventy four, because he's turning on kids
now only just great athletes, but he's teaching them how
to be respectful and how to handle themselves as athletes,
you know, which I think is something great. I think
it's awesome.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Steve Sykesian is one of those guys that wears his
heart on his shoulder and on his sleeve.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Oh yeah, these young guys.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
He he says, it's great to be a great player,
but it's even better when you're a great human And I.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Love to think I think Chuck Keys and and Anthelee
director and all those people do a great job with
people like Ricky William, Vince Young and my two brothers
and of course myself and letting us feel like we
want you all to be a part of this universe
as well. So by Chuck Keston bringing the older guys

(04:29):
back around, I think they have said a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
We are talking to lifetime long on and Hall of
Famer mister Earl Campbell. You've seen his statue. You probably
took a picture in front of his statue at some
point in your life. And mister Campbell, we were talking
about this a little bit earlier. By the way, today
is your guy Mark Henry's birthday, and I brought.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Him in birthday.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I brought him in the big earl. I brought him
in a big earl for his birthday.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, you want the big ear some ship leag he
thinkd up what you pick?

Speaker 2 (05:01):

me some big earls.

Speaker 3 (05:06):

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I might tell them every now that too.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Man, you've been I say that too loud. You don't
want your wife getting on you.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Seeing my circle is kind of like this. Of course
it's Earl, but it's a guy named Sherman. He takes
cooking in and we traveled all together on the road.
And then that's my two boys. Toddler look after the
sausage business that we're part of, and Christian he just
kind of look over everything, so like coming out with

(05:38):
this bag with the shoe hospital and uh, Kelly brothers.
Christian looked over all the paperwork and stuff. So we
all work as a team. And just the other day, man,
we stopped the Shipley guessed something.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
The big girls gotta.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Love y'all driving around and look a's morning time. Go
stop it the Shipley's and get you some big earls
because uh and I got the Halopeeno chiefs Lord yeah
have verd.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yeah you sure got one if you sit up cheese
you right. Yeah, you know, got the holygoage business man
that does a tremendous Thank God, that's that little company
does some great things that that. Of course, we got
the truck over our bot. We've been in business out
there for about twenty seven years doing tacos, so we

(06:31):
we all make a good team. We keep it in
the family and we all kind of work together and
it's no ego involved, even though they know who it's
all about. Sherman got his problem, Christy got his side,
Towler got his problem, and Miss Cambra. Just look over
all of us.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Mister Earl, your guy Jacob, who you've all you basically adopted.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah, man, I know, I know he's playing for the Sooners, but.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Uh, he's definitely one of those that all ways like, hey,
let's let's stop and get some big girls like that.
That guy right there might be a good candidate for
some men. I m with, uh, I'm doing the pitch.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
You see him about going to Oklahoma. I want to
tell you that. Of course, you know how bad and
how good that Oklahoma game is once a year in Dallas.
I tell everybody that men, this guy got a great
relationship with don't see each other very much, but we
talk a lot. And his name is Barry Switzer. Coach Switzer.

(07:33):
At the beginning of college football, he talk about Earl
Campbell at the middle he talk about it and then
and the buses. He swears that Earl Cambrall had no
businesses going to college. He should walk out right off
high school, and he with with good friends and there
on the flick side, he'd be throwing it in there.

(07:54):
He said, I don't know how Texas got you a boy.
We did everything, me and Barritt, which is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Goya, dude, And aren't you good friends too with Billy Simms.
I know that Billy Simms comes down here and spend
some time.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
With you, y'all see, and y'all have some lunch. Is
he doing sausage as well?

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Well? Billy Sims got a Billy Sims Barbecue, which I
guess he started in Oklahoma and then goes up to Detroit.
He got about fifteen and twenty of them. Tyler and
this guy got together and we put Billy er camera
sausage in Billy's uh restaurants. Wow, that's awesome.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
See it's true Texas. And oh you can work together.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Oh yeah, yeah, but you don't. We do talk about it.
And you can kind of tell when Billy don't want
to talk about it, because yeah, yeah, y'all been getting
these passions.

Speaker 5 (08:53):
He got us a three years too, So it's good.
Billy is good too. It's good for the universal. Well,
mister Campbell, I was just interested. Barrys Switzer, we'll still
friends and that even though he recruited me hard man,
he always talked about that Eric Campbell and college football.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
He's great.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Well, mister Campbell, it's been great having you on. We're
gonna post uh the all about the bags and about
if y'all make a man person, you know, maybe I
can get hard ones come out.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
With more lovely over in the future. We just came
out with this right around Father's Day, just kind of
introducing the people and with the Shoe hospitals and that
Kelly family, it's more than just a relationship about bags.
It's a relationship that just really started and we're all
three of the friends that As a matter of fact,

(09:49):
I went to a summer down in Miami with the
Hosotrophy people. Every year we have a little summit where
we get together and disgusting Tony Dors that is sitting
by me at the pool man and my target and
Kelly called me and it's the bags man, I don't
we come up with her? Came to the door say bag.
So that's a myot of things that can go on

(10:11):
with that luggage with trying to come out with but Uh,
the shoe Hospels and Kelly family and myself. We want
to do the right things towards people. It's a nice
little bag if you're going for a couple of days,
you know. But in freuture, we're praying to come out
with more for men as well as when.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
We're gonna get ours, we're gonna get out. Thank you
so much for coming on. Uh, we don't want this
to be the last time we got to have you
see that start.
