(00:28):
Already, ladies and gentlemen, welcomeback into the Next Gen Report. What
a couple of days it has been. It has been one heck of a
weekend. Obviously, there was noshow on Friday. I do apologize for
that. It was just one ofthose days where just everything goes wrong all
at once, completely out of theblue, and for no reason at all.
It was very tragic. I hada great show ready to go for
you guys. I was super excitedabout it. And then I plug in

(00:51):
the hard drive that I had savedall the recordings onto to. Because I
used two different computers, I recordon one computer and then I edited on
another one. So to transport,I have a little thumb drive. So
I put all the files on athumb drive and I take it to my
other computer and I edit it.So I plug in the thumb drive with
all the files on it, andfall the hard drive had just completely crashed.
The thumb drive was completely dead.It couldn't read it. It wasn't

(01:12):
even reading it as a thumb drive. I don't know what had happened to
it. I don't know why ithappened, but everything was gone. Absolutely
everything had been completely destroyed and lostinto the ether with nothing. So today
I hope to get to some ofthat stuff that we had missed on Friday.
I do want to say I didsee a couple of people reach out
to me and be like, Hey, where's today's episode? Why is there

(01:34):
no show? So I do definitelyappreciate that. That's very encouraging to know
that people actually like following along closeenough to notice when something happens and there's
no episode. That that really warmedmy heart quite a bit and it almost
made the day better, except everythinghad still gone awry and it was a
disaster. But so what have wemissed? The biggest thing that comes immediately
to mind is Israel is now onthe ground in Gaza. They have sent

(01:57):
troops in, they have Saint Hanksin. They went absolutely buck wild.
We knew this was coming, weknew it was gonna happen. We didn't
know for sure when we knew itwas imminent as of like Thursday. So
Friday they went in, and Iwant to say, it was like Friday
evening they went in the kind ofleader of Hamas, the guy who planned
the attack. He did get killedin an airstrike, which is obviously what

(02:20):
Israel was going for is just acomplete wipeout of Hamas. Another guy who's
like big in the Hamas ranks hasreached out to Israel and be like,
hey, we're ready to negotiate,We're ready to talk. You just are
like, no, we're way pastthat. You guys are done. So
of course they started dropping leaflets overthe Gaza City saying in Arabic, hey
get out, everybody leave, Andof course, in typical Hamas fashion,

(02:43):
Hamas has been like preventing the Gazacitizens from leaving Gaza City. And it's
worth saying this again and again andagain. The death of Gaza citizens is
entirely on the hands of Hamas, not Israel. Time and time again we
see the Israelis try to warn thecivilians, try to tell them, you

(03:05):
guys need to leave this area, you guys need to get out of here.
It's not safe. We're about toattack. And then the Palestinian authority
slash Hamas will then like actively preventpeople from leaving their houses. They want
the civilian casualties because they can thenuse that as a media weapon. To
everyone out there who truly believes thatthis is just Hamas waging a war against
Israeli oppressors. I ask you, this, is that really the action of

(03:30):
somebody who's trying to protect people.I think the pretty clear answer to that
question is no. I think it'spretty obvious Hamas is not interested in protecting
people. So there's a really easyway with any war to figure out who
is the good guy and who isthe bad guy. And that's the big
divide here. It is so muchmore of a controversial topic than it really
should be trying to figure out whois the good guy in the situation and

(03:50):
who is the bad guy. So, and this works in almost any war.
This is the best way to figureout who the good guy is versus
who's the bad guy. Who isout there trying to get civilians out of
harm's way, and who is stoppingthat. Now, obviously, in every
war ever, there's going to becivilian casualties. That is the unfortunate reality
of war, and it's going tobe both sides. Both sides are going

(04:13):
to be killing civilians. So whois actively trying to kill the least amount
of civilians? Who is trying notto kill civilians? But unfortunately, due
to the realities of war, innocanpeople die versus who is the one saying,
hey, we know your house isabout to have a bomb dropped on
it, Stay in it, don'tleave your house, don't evacuate the city

(04:35):
like these little leaflets are telling you. Chances are that's the bad guys.
I have yet to see an exampleof a war where that is not the
case. If one exists, pleasepoint it out to me. But until
I see it with my own eyes, I'm going to assume that it does
not exist and that that's not thecase. All right, One more quick
Israel update. It does appear thatthere is about to be a second front

(04:57):
opening up. Israel is now evacuatingso like northern regions of the country because
they're expecting Lebanon and Hezbollah to makesome sort of play, some sort of
attack in that region. So Gazis in the south side of Israel.
This has been mostly a south sidewar, that's where most of the fighting
has been, and now it appearsthat a second front of the war may

(05:19):
open up on the northern side ofIsrael with Lebanon coming in. Hopefully that
doesn't happen. That the last thingwe need is for this to get worse.
But unfortunately the reality of war isit usually tends to get worse before
it gets better, especially when youhave a bunch of people throughout the entire
West cheering on Hamas. Obviously thathas continued a pace. There has been

(05:43):
just some absolutely egregious things said anddone at all these protests. It's really
despicable to see the fact that peopleare cheering on this ignorance, and there's
a immediate response to say, well, they just don't know how evil Hamas
is. But there's videos circulating aroundof people that are like well aware of
what's happening, and they're encouraging it, and they're protesting in favor of it.

(06:04):
I'm not going to play them becausethey are honestly, to I would
have to censor most of these videosto the point where it would just be
a one long beep noise. SoI'm not gonna bother playing them for you
just because I literally can't. Theyare not airworthy in the slightest all Right,
So, remember how the last coupleof years we've all been talking about
how foreign policy matters, and USdemonstrating to the entire world right after the

(06:29):
Afghanistan pullout that we were just acompletely feeble nation that just gives up and
leaves for no reason. Remember whenwe all said that that was probably a
bad thing, that we probably shouldn'tdo that. Well, guess what we
were right? So get out acoin, throw it into the Republicans were
right, jar because, as wenow know, according to Breitbart News,
Hamas started planning this tear attack afterguess which major world event. If you

(06:55):
guess the Afghanistan pull out, thencongratulations, you're not an idiot. You
officially have more brain power than justabout everybody in the White House. Apparently,
senior Hamas official Ali Baraka told Russiathat they've been planning this invasion for
two years, which would mean theystarted planning this right after the Afghanistan pull
out. Surprise, surprise, whatdid you think was gonna happen? He

(07:16):
said, We've been planning this fortwo years. We have factories for everything.
We've been building rockets with ranges oftwo hundred and fifty kilometers and uh,
we've been building AMMO factories and weaponsmanufactories and everything. So this is
not something that just happened. Thiswasn't spontaneous. They saw what happened in
Afghanistan. They saw Joe Biden demonstratethat he is a completely weak person who

(07:39):
has no capacity to do anything properly, and they figured this was our chance
we can finally get after Israel andreally make something happen. If you're surprised
by that news, it's because you'redumb. I'm sorry, that's it.
What do you think is gonna happenwhen you give a bunch of Islamic terrorists
eighty billion dollars worth of weapons anddemonstrate the fact that they can run the

(07:59):
middle and you won't do anything aboutit. They do stuff like this,
We are living through the real timeconsequences of the poor choices of everyone who
voted for Joe Biden in twenty twenty. There are so many people who are
willing to vote for people like JoeBiden just because Donald Trump rubbed them the
wrong way. They look at politiciansfor things like warm, cozy feelings instead

(08:24):
of actual leadership. They will thengo and completely ignore actual leadership qualities like
the ones Donald Trump clearly exhibits, just because somebody else makes them feel better
on the inside. I mean, you don't have to like Donald Trump to
acknowledge the fact that, just ona global scale, he was a better
leader than Joe Biden is, andyou don't have to like him to recognize
the fact that during his leadership wehave things like the Abraham Accords, historic

(08:50):
peace in the Middle East, andthen the moment he's not in office,
everything falls apart. Ukraine gets invaded, Israel gets invaded. There's a reason
those things didn't happen under Donald Trump. See, you can vote for the
guy that says, hey, let'sjust be nice to everybody and then we'll
have world peace, and that'll makeyou feel good and cozy on the inside.
But guess what, being nice tothe bad guys doesn't actually work as

(09:13):
a foreign policy strategy. We don'tlive in a perfect world where you can
just treat everybody with baby gloves andthen magically nothing bad ever happens. It
would be great if we did livein that world, but we don't.
That's not reality. Say what youwill about Donald Trump, but he was
great at being mean to people. And sometimes you have to be mean to
people. And now that's not tosay Donald Trump was only ever mean to

(09:35):
the people that you need to bemean to. Donald Trump is a mean
person, and he's mean to peoplethat he shouldn't be mean. To,
but he's also mean to the peoplethat he should be mean to, and
that's important. Things like that matterthat be nice to everybody and vote for
the warm, fuzzy guy. Attitudehas real time consequences. We're living in
them. So I want to encourageevery single person that votes, whether you're

(09:58):
a Republican or a Democrat, andif you're not voting, I want to
encourage you to vote because it isimportant and it does matter. But when
you go to a vote, whetheryou're voting for Republicans or Democrats or whatever,
when you're listening to these politicians kindof make their appeals to you and
give their speeches, ignore the emotionalarguments, these feel good appeals that they
make to you. Just completely ignorethem. Instead, look at what their

(10:22):
policies actually are. Look for peoplewho ask them the tough questions, and
listen to how these politicians answer thetough questions, and then actually think critically
about how they're answering the tough questions. Try to connect the dots in your
head, and then ask yourself ifwhat they're saying actually makes sense. Ask
them if what they're saying adds upjust on a logical level. What you'll

(10:43):
come to find out is that ninetimes out of ten what they're saying actually
doesn't make sense. But what theydo is they wrap it in these feel
good emotions. They basically sugarcoat itso that maybe you're doing something stupid,
but it sounds like you're doing somethingreally nice. And that's what really matters,
is being nice. I really quickwant to talk about the six billion
dollars that we unfroze originally for Iranas part of that prisoner swap. That

(11:07):
has been the center of quite abit of discussion. So it's now confirmed
that Iran was helping Hamas plan thisattack, which means Iran probably used that
six billion dollars to help fund thisattack or help facilitate this attack. So
there has been, as you I'msure well know, quite a bit of
fuss at Joe Biden from all sidesof the Aisle credit where credit is due.

(11:31):
The Democrats have been also saying,Joe Biden, we need to refreeze
this six billion dollars, and afterlike two weeks that finally happened. He
finally, like on Thursday or earlyFriday, refroze that six billion dollars,
which is great news. Full creditto Joe Biden, he finally did it.
You do have to ask why inthe name of God did it take

(11:54):
this long, like what possibly whatlapse of judgment caused it to take that
long. I mean the moment Hamaswent into Israel that six billion dollars should
have been frozen on the spot, because it's just common sense. Iran constantly
funds these terror attacks. Iran constantlyis out there sponsoring terrorism. So when

(12:16):
you give them any amount of money, there has to be the assumption they
might use this for terror, right, that's just common sense. So you
say, okay, well, we'llput it in a Katari bank account that
we can watch and control and willmake sure that they don't use it for
terror. Well, the nature ofmoney is it is fungible, all right.

(12:37):
So you've got six billion dollars thatyou're originally planning on using for your
humanitarian aid instead of your terror. All of a sudden, you get an
extra six billion dollars for humanitarian aid. So you take that money that you
were originally gonna use for humanitarian aid, and now that's six billion dollars that
you can use for terror. Thisis how Iran gets around these restrictions that

(12:58):
the United takes places on their money, which makes you wonder, why are
we letting Iran have any money atall? If they need humanitarian aid,
we can send them actual humanitarian aid. We can load up the diapers and
the medicine and whatever. We canput that on a plane and send it
to them, because guess what, you can't use diapers for terrorism, but

(13:20):
you can sure use six billion dollarsfor terrorism. And this was all said
at the time, like two monthsago, when Joe Biden first unfroze this
money. We said at the time, this is probably gonna get used for
terrorism. We're probably gonna see theconsequences of these actions come back and bite
us in the butt. And wewere called conspiracy theorists and we were called
crazy, and we were told howgreat Joe Biden is at foreign policy because

(13:43):
look at him. He's gonna givethe Iran six billion dollars and they're gonna
be like, oh my god, that was so nice. We're not gonna
do any terrorism. That's not whathappened. They got six billion dollars and
they did terrorism with it. There'sa reason we don't give money to the
bad guys. It's not because we'remean, it's because they can't be trusted
with it. I just have towonder, now, like how many weeks

(14:03):
is it gonna be before we seea news article that's like breaking news it's
revealed that Iran used six billion dollarsin USA to help fund Israel, because
we all know that that's what happened. But I mean, I guess better
late than ever, Joe Biden didfinally refreeze the AID after I'm sure probably
more internal polling, because, aswe said on the Wednesday episode, nobody

(14:26):
ever does the right thing just forfun in politics. So thank god it
got refrozen before anything worse could happen. Let's just cross our fingers and hope
that we were able to refreeze itbefore Iran was able to use it for
anything super detrimental. I mean,God only knows we could see the results

(14:46):
of Iran having that six billion dollarsmonths from now. The Gaza invasion of
Israel may very well have just beenthe tip of the iceberg. Because don't
forget, Iran has a nuclear programand they really want nuclear weapons. You
can buy a lot of nukes withsix billion dollars. You can make a
lot of nukes with six billion dollars. But unfortunately, only time will tell,

(15:07):
so we'll have to just wait andsee. All right, moving back
home, we have got a lotof interesting things happening on the speaker's race.
When we last checked, Dave Scaliseor Steve Scalie, not Dave Scale.
What am I saying? Steve Scalisehad been nominated by the Republican Caucus
to be the speaker. Jim Jordanendorsed him, so we thought maybe that
was it, we finally found ourspeaker and we can move on in the

(15:28):
House. Nope, Steve Scalise neverwas able to get the votes, which
to me is good news because I'mstill a Jim Jordan guy. I've wanted
Jim Jordan since the House took overin January, and I still want Jim
Jordan. And so Steve Scale droppedout of the race. Full credit to
him, he didn't have the votes. He knew he wasn't going to get
the votes, so he just tooka step aside. That to me,

(15:50):
that's points for Jim Jordan. Idon't know if he had an arterior motive
in stepping aside. I frankly don'tcare. He stepped aside and now Jim
Jordan can take a run at it, and it seems to be going very
well for Jim Jordan so far.So Jim Jordan has been spending the last
I think he was nominated to bethe speaker on like Saturday or whatever,
and he's been spending the last severaldays trying to get all the votes.

(16:11):
And we didn't really know how thatwas going to shape out. There was
another guy that had jumped into therace, some random nobody from God only
knows where. I think it waslike Georgia. He was a representative from
Georgia, and he had tossed hishat into the ring and a couple of
other guys were like avidly against him. Now, one of those guys who

(16:33):
was kind of ring leading against JimJordan, his name is Mike Rogers,
and he's the chairman of the HouseArmed Services Committee, and he has been
very vocal against the ousting of KevinMcCarthy and he has been kind of ring
leading against Jim Jordan. Well,he has just endorsed Jim Jordan. He's
like dropped his opposition and now he'ssupporting Jim Jordan to be the Speaker of

(16:57):
the House, which is crucial. This makes it a whole lot easier for
Jim Jordan to get to two hundredand seventeen votes, which is the bare
majority that he needs to become theSpeaker of the House. And apparently Jim
Jordan is so into this that heis pushing for a vote on the speakership
as early as Tuesday, which wouldbe tomorrow, which would be huge news

(17:18):
because we're now in like day tenof not having a Speaker of the House,
and with everything going on in Israelright now, it might be a
good idea to kind of, youknow, have our stuff sorted out right.
And of course, if you're likeme and you've been wanting Jim Jordan
to be the speaker since January, well this is just great news. It's
like Christmas. But I mean,at this point, I'm hesitant to make
any predictions whatsoever. I would saythat hopefully by the time we do Wenday's

(17:41):
show, oh, I can updateyou and we'll have a speaker. But
if I say that, then everythingis going to disappear because I jinxed it
last time and Steve'scalie fell apart. But hey, that's politics, baby,
So cross your fingers and let's hopewe can get Jim Jordan through because I
really do think he would be agreat speaker. And one of the main
things that makes me think that isthe fact that he has been so reluctant

(18:03):
to be speaker. When Steve Scalisehad the votes, he dropped out and
he said, Okay, I amendorsing Steve Scalise. Ah, my guys,
vote for Steve Scalise. Let's gethim. He's the party nominee.
Let's get it. And then,of course, back in January, when
a bunch of people were saying SteveScalise needs to be our speaker, not
Kevin McCarthy, he was saying,no, Kevin McCarthy should be the speaker.

(18:25):
The fact that somebody doesn't want poweris usually a good sign that they
can be trusted with it, which, at the same time is why I
give so much credit to Steve Scalisefor dropping out when he realized he wasn't
gonna be able to clear the bar. I mean the fact that he didn't
keep trying to claw at it andcut deals with people both in the Republican
Caucus and the Democratic Caucus. That'sa good sign. You don't want someone

(18:48):
who's gonna keep trying to please everybodyjust so that they can have power.
We saw that with Kevin McCarthy. That's what Kevin McCarthy did. It didn't
work out. He was not reallyall that great as a speaker. He
was completely okay, and then hegot ousted because all the people that he
made deals with, he didn't carryout all those deals, and they ended
up stabbing him for it. Politicallyspeaking, they didn't actually stab him.

(19:11):
But we're not seeing that with SteveScalise or with Jim Jordan, which is
why I am so avantly supportive ofeither of those people, but preferably and
especially Jim Jordan. All Right, that's going to do it for the show
today. Once again, quick apologyfor not having a Friday show, And
this one will not have some ofmy sound effects, like my woshy stuff,

(19:32):
because all those were saved on thathard drive that disappeared and died.
But we're here now, we're makingit happen, so thank you all very
much for listening, and hopefully thatwill never happen again. Hopefully we'll be
