After three weeks, four candidates, and what feels like hundreds of votes, the House Republican caucus has finally elected Rep. Mike Johnson of Lousiana to be the speaker of the House. We will take a look at his record as a representitve, and examine the events that immediatly preceeded his election to the roll of speaker.

What happens when you combine an ideology that states that says, "Women need their own special treatment." With an ideology that says, "Men can be women if they want."? Well i'll give you a hint. It's nothing good.

(00:28):
Well, after three weeks, fourdifferent candidates, and god only knows how
many rounds of voting, we finallyhave a new Speaker of the House.
Representative Mike Johnson out of Louisiana wasjust elected to be the Speaker of the
House. And I'm actually not madabout this. Before I get to that,

(00:50):
though, I do want to talkabout what happened yesterday, just because
I honestly think it's absolutely hilarious. We'll get to Mike Johnson. I'll talk
about him in just a second.Stay tuned. First, I want to
talk about Tom Emmer. He wasthe nominee yesterday, and just yesterday he
made it less than a day.He won the Republican nomination for Speaker early

(01:11):
Wednesday morning, and the moment hedid, we had like ten different Republicans
saying that they were not going tovote for him. But that's nothing new.
That's power for the course. Atthis point, right, We've had
this consistently. This was Mike McCarthy'sissue when he first came in. This
is what every single Republican nominee hasdealt with, and normally they just power
through it for a couple of roundsof voting and then if it works out,

(01:32):
it works out, and if itdoesn't, it doesn't. Right,
Well, this guy, Tom Emmercouldn't even make it that far. So
he gets picked to be by theRepublican Caucus to be the speaker Wednesday morning,
and a couple of hours later,Donald Trump posts a hit against him
on truth Social He says he's outof touch with the Republican voters. He
calls him a rhino, you know, the usual Donald Trump stuff. And

(01:53):
then he gets on the phone andhe makes a phone call to just about
every Republican that will answer the phonein the House of Representatives and tells them
not to vote for Tom Emmer. And apparently that works because legitimately, four
hours after the Republican Caucus nominated himfor speaker, he had to drop out
of the race because it was clearhe was not gonna He did not get

(02:14):
a single floor vote. Usually theyget a floor vote, two floor votes,
maybe three or four or even fivefloor votes before they decide to give
up. He didn't get one.Four hours, zero floor votes. He
drops out. That's funny to me. Maybe that's just my political nihilism talking,
but that's hilarious. The fact thathe couldn't even make it to lunch

(02:34):
as the speaker nominee, so hedrops out and then all hell breaks loose
right the Republican Party. I guessthey say, we are finally done with
this, we can't keep up withthis where we look ridiculous, which is
true they do. I'm not sayingthat's a bad thing. I like it
when the US government on any levellooks ridiculous because frankly they are. We
in American politics spend so much timeglorifying American politics, which I really don't

(03:01):
understand. We give these people celebritiesstatus. It's almost like a royal family,
it really is. And these peopleare regular people and oftentimes they're dumber
than you. But we still, for whatever reason, the American public almost
worships their politicians. And that's onboth sides of the aisle. The Democrats

(03:22):
and the Republicans do this, andI've never understood it. So when that
finally comes crashing down and is hitby reality and we see these people that
are throughout the entire country worshiped asthe best of us, and they're just
piddling around doing nothing productive at alland making fools of themselves. I enjoy
that I enjoy it when the peoplewho put all their hope and faith in

(03:44):
politicians find out the hard way thatthe politicians are completely useless and idiots.
So I think what happened with TomEmery yesterday is just a phenomenal example of
that. I also think it's worthnoting that Donald Trump apparently has so much
pull in the Republican House still.I mean, from what I've seen,
it's sam's pretty evident that Donald Trumppretty much torpedoed Tom Emmer, which I
didn't think he was capable of.I mean, we know, of course

(04:04):
that there's the Marjorie Taylor Greens andthe Matt Gates and whatnot that still like
take his word as gospel, butI didn't really think that that was enough
for him to do what he didto Tom Emmer. But I really think
that that's going to end up workingin favor for Trump, especially in a
primary, because think about it,when you vote for a presidential candidate,
what do you want. You wantsomebody who can push their agenda through Congress.

(04:25):
That takes quite a bit of pulland leeway and leverage with other members
of the House. And if you'rea guy that can completely torpedo a speaker
nomination and not even hold public officecurrently. That says something about your ability
to corral votes when you really wantto. So I would not be surprised
if here in the next couple ofweeks or even days, we see Donald

(04:46):
Trump on the campaign trail being like, listen, we need somebody who can
get their agenda three to the Congress. I'm phenomena about it. I torpedo
tom Emmer. I can corral thevotes to Torpedo Tom Emmer, the random
ton Emmer. I can corral thevotes to build well, and they can
corral the votes to make Mexico payfor it. I guarantee you we'll see

(05:06):
it, and I can't wait.I'm so excited. So now that brings
us to Mike Johnson. Early thismorning, Mike Johnson gets the Republican nominee
for speaker. We had like threerounds of closed door voting. I think
some of it may have happened lastnight. I wasn't playing that much attention.
I'm gonna be honest with you guys. I got home last night,
I was sick of watching the speakersrace. I went and played video games

(05:28):
with some of my friends, butI paid attention this morning, and that's
what really matters. All Right,We're good. So as of this morning,
Mike Johnson became the Republican nominee forspeaker. Now that's a name you
may or may not recognize. He'sbeen a part of some pretty notable stuff,
but he's really not a bolt towardsthe limelight type of guy, which
I think is probably a good thing. I mean, we see that it
clearly worked out for him. Thecandidate that they needed to win the speakers

(05:54):
race was somebody that was conservative enoughto get the Gates type crowd, you
know, the people who asked Kevinmca Dorothy, those hardline quote unquote maga
Republicans that Joe Biden keeps losing sleepabout in the middle of the night.
But then you also need someone who'slow key enough to not take as much
incoming fire from the left, becauseof course, we do have a very
thin majority, and you have towin those Republicans in those purple to blue

(06:16):
districts, because that is a thing. We do have Republicans that are in
blue districts or in purple districts. And if CNN starts doing an article about
how they voted for this evil magaRepublican guy. There's a good chance they
lose their seat, and the Republicanswill always choose their And this is true
for any politician. It's not justthe Republicans, it's not just the Democrats.

(06:36):
They will always choose keeping their seatover the benefit of the country one
hundred percent of the time. Sothis guy, I guess, was able
to clear both those guards. Helooks like a really conservative guy. I've
been looking through his record recently andhe's got a pretty conservative record. He's
scored seventy four percent on the LibertyScore, which is in start contrast to
Kevin McCarthy's fifty four percent. Hehas an F rating on Republicans for Ukraine,

(07:00):
which is an absolutely positive for me. There's a left wing thing called
the Democracy Score quote unquote, whichgives him an F rating, where anytime
anything on the left is giving himan F rating, that's good. He
voted against every single Ukraine bill afterthe first one, which I will say
this, I understand Republicans voting forthe first one because initially the thought process
was, Okay, these people aregetting invaded, we need to help these

(07:23):
people at least a little bit,and then as it dragged dawn, that's
where a lot of the Republican resistanceto Ukraine Aid came about. Remember it
did not start everybody hate on Ukraine. It got to that point because the
Democrats kept pushing it without any sortof check or balance, and anytime you
said, okay, well maybe weshould at least be looking into this a

(07:43):
little bit more, you became thebad guy. That's the big reason that
you have people like Mike Johnson, who voted for the first bill to send
money to Ukraine and aid to Ukraine, and then ever since it had been
voting against it consistently. It's becausethey were told that they have to vote
for it and they can't question itat all. That's where people get their
suspicions raised. That's what turns peopleoff to it. But yeah, he's

(08:05):
been good on the Biden crime familyinvestigations. He's been really good about just
in general putting the heat on theBiden administration, especially with the Alejandro Majorkis.
But the way that you really knowthat he was a good choice for
Speaker of the House is this morning. The moment he was chosen, Good
Morning America wasted, not a momentof time putting out a hit piece on

(08:26):
him. I'm gonna play a littlebit of it for you here, and
we're gonna talk about it just alittle bit, because I think it shows
the surprising amount of support for MikeJohnson that the Republican Caucus had, as
well as the fact that the Democratsreally don't like him, which is exactly
the type of person we want.We want the Republicans to be really behind
him, from the kind of leftside of the Republican Caucus all the way
to the right, and then wewant the Democrats to absolutely hate his guts.

(08:50):
That's how you know you've got agood person in the speaker position.
So take it away. Good morningAmerica, Michael, Good morning to you.
Over the last three weeks, oneRepublican after another has tried and failed
to unite the party. But injust a few hours, Mike Johnson,
a little known Republican from Louisiana, will take his bit to the floor,
hoping for a breakthrough. Overnight,a bitterly divided Republican party trying to project

(09:13):
unity, suddenly scrambling cameras inside theirclosed door meeting to show support for their
new nominee for Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, the Louisiana Republican,
winning in a late night secret ballotafter three rounds. This conference that you
see, this House Republican majority isunited. Johnson is a staunch Trump ally

(09:39):
who recruited Republicans to sign on toefforts to overturn the twenty twenty election.
I asked him if he stands bythat vote. Efforts to overturn the twenty
twenty elections. With Republicans booed andJohnson's trine to move on, the House

(10:01):
has been at a standstill for threeweeks without a speaker, as war rages
in the Middle East, the Presidentasking Congress to provide one hundred billion dollars
in aid to Israel and Ukraine.I tried asking Johnson, who would be
second in line to the presidency, about that too. He didn't want to
talk about it. You've asked yourquestions, asked your question, don Way,

(10:22):
We're not doing the policy tonight, any other questions. With the floor
vote just hours away. Republicans insistthey are ready to end the stalemate,
and of course they did end thestalemate. Mike Johnson, after he got
two hundred and twenty votes. Heneeded a bare minimum of two hundred and
seventeen. He got two hundred andtwenty, so he cleared the threshold and

(10:43):
then some and now he's the Speakerof the House. Now you saw it
right there. She immediately went afterhim on the basis of his support for
Donald Trump. So he did.He was rallying people to vote against the
certification of the twenty twenty election. And he was a lawyer for Trump during
one of his different impeachments. Soimmediately the move is go after him for
that. They want to attack himand make the headline the fact that he

(11:07):
is a pro Trump Republican and thatway the Republicans in the purple districts in
the blue districts have to vote againsthim so that they don't lose their seeds.
And you heard the entire Republican caucusjust immediately shut that down. And
you have to give them credit forthat. The moment she asked that question,
they're immediately all right, lady, shut up. Nobody cares. And

(11:28):
that's true to a very I mean, it sounds harsh, but truly,
I don't think anybody cares. Wehave got enough stuff going on right now
to worry about that, have toworry about who voted for what. With
the twenty twenty election, it's justnot worth considering anymore. And we know
it's not because even Good Morning Americaimmediately moves on to something else. They're
like, we've got this crisis goingon in Israel. You'll be third in

(11:48):
line for their second in line forthe presidency. What are you going to
do about it, Ladidaidai? Andhe's like, all right, I'm just
worried about getting into the job firstright now. Lady, Like after she
asked that stupid question about twenty twenty, everybody was like, you're done.
Stop asking questions. And I gottasay, it is a really good feeling
to see all these Republicans rallying aroundso well, this really conservative guy.
Just for looking at his record,he looks like he's probably the closest to

(12:11):
Jim Jordan that we were probably goingto be able to get. As much
as I would have liked Jim Jordan, if we can't have Jim Jordan,
this is a pretty good substitution.I think Byron Donald's as nice as he
would have been. I don't seehim ever winning the nomination just because he
hasn't been in Congress long enough. And unfortunately that is a factor, like
you have to know people, youhave to make connections, you have to

(12:33):
have long standing reputations with these peoplein order to win these elections, and
Byron Donalds he just doesn't have thatthrough no fault of his own, he
just hasn't been in Congress long enough. But overall, I'm pretty happy with
Mike Johnson. He seems like agood, solid conservative, and of course
we'll have to see how he actuallyvotes and behaves now that he's in the
job. But I'm happy we gotsomebody in the job, and I'm happy

(12:56):
that it's somebody who's got such agood positive record like Mike Johnson does.
And apparently Trump really likes him too. He's been saying some pretty nice things
about him on truth Social which isn'tsuper surprising because he was, of course
a lawyer for Trump during one ofhis impeachment trials, so I wouldn't be
surprised if that played a major factor. I mean, the fact that he
torpedoed Emmer's nomination is a pretty clearindicator of that. But yeah, after

(13:18):
three weeks, the nightmare is finallyover. We finally have a House speaker
again. Congratulations to Speaker Mike Johnson. Congratulations to the Republican Caucus for whipping
yourselves into shape and finally figuring itout after three weeks. And I do
truly hope that this serves as avaluable lesson to every House speaker from here

(13:39):
on out. You can't just dowhatever you want. There is accountability,
and that accountability, even though it'snot fun, it's a good thing.
I maintained that, even though thiswas a massive headache, I do think
this will end up being a netpositive for the United States of America because
we demonstrated to Kevin McCarthy and everysubsequent House speaker Listen, you are not

(14:00):
untouchable. You have a job todo. You have people that you are
accountable to, and if you don'tsatisfy those people, if you don't do
your job, there are consequences. You will be thrown out of office.
And even if it takes us threeweeks and a bunch of headaches and bad
polling and what have you, inorder to get it done, we will
get it done. Even though thiswas an extremely painful process, it was
a very good reminder of that, and the United States Congress definitely needed that

(14:26):
reminder. I don't think I'm alonein thinking that. Alrighty now, I
also want to take a moment totalk about today something I've been meaning to
get to this for a while. This story originally came out early this month.
It was like our Coober fourth thatthis video was originally posted. It
was posted by Matt Walsh, butI just I haven't had a chance to
talk about it. There's been somuch other stuff going on. So I'm

(14:46):
finally going to get to it today, and I'm actually super excited about it
because it perfectly demonstrates how left wingideology inevitably eats itself one hundred percent of
the time. And of course,if you know me, you know that
that's one of my most absolute favoritethings in the entire world. There's nothing
I love more than the left wingtaking up two completely opposing ideologies and holding

(15:09):
to both of them like their God'sScripture. And then eventually those two things
come in conflict with each other andexplode, and they're like, I don't
know how this happened. Left Wingersgetting smacked in the head by reality truly
is the highest form of comedy,so a little bit of context. There
is this summit for women in tech. It's like a yearly summit. It's
called the Gracehopper, and it's likea conference, and then they've got like
a career fair as well. Andwhat ended up happening at this career fair,

(15:33):
I'm gonna try not spoil it toomuch, but basically, a bunch
of guys showed up to this careerfair for women in tech, at a
conference for women in tech, andthey got mad about it. Now,
on its face, that sounds reasonOkay, this is a thing for women
and a bunch of guys there.Listen to how the guys got in,
Listen to why the women are madabout it, and then try to tell
me if you can figure out whereexactly the problem is, where the inconsistencies

(15:58):
are at. And if you can'tfigure it out by the end of the
video, don't worry, I'm gonnapoint it out to you. So just
hold on time because this is actuallypretty wild. Career conference for females in
tech was taken over by mele attendees. They were there just purely for the
career fear. Social media clips filmedthat the Grace Hopper, the world's largest

(16:18):
gathering of women technologists, show menstanding in line to meet with recruiters.
Is this is space for women intech? This is one of those few
limited resources that isn't for you,it's for us. Some of the male
attendees reportedly lied about being non binaryjust to get in, But it's interesting
that the large majority of the peoplethat actually ended up in the event had

(16:41):
named tags with he him and haveno searchable history of identifying as non binary.
Several tech workers defended the men fortrying to capitalize on job opportunities not
meant for them, seeing that theentire concept was wrong. Let's be honest,
there is no need for a conferencejust for women, because if it
was the opposite to for men,and it would be sexist. Just because
you are a woman doesn't give youthe right to talk to a big firm

(17:03):
recruiter. Guys worked us as hardand they don't get that chance. All
right, So, to summarize itfor you, career conference for women in
Tech ran by the same group ofpeople who can't figure out what exactly a
woman is. And right there isthe rub. Right there is where these
two ideologies knock up against themselves. You cannot have a space just for women

(17:26):
while also simultaneously saying men can bewomen, because then this happens. Just
for the record, everybody that's complainingabout this right now, this is exactly
what the conservatives have been saying aboutwomen's sports for four years, and you
have been calling us transphobic and bigotedand what not because of it. So
to every single person that had aproblem with those men being at that career

(17:49):
conference, you are transphobic and youare bigoted. And then that one guy
who was like, Okay, well, these guys don't have any searchable history
of being non binary. These guyshad he ham pronouns on their name tags.
Okay, I thought you didn't needa searchable history. Since when do
they need to validate their identity withyou? I thought you could just say

(18:10):
it and that make it the case. Hasn't that been the line from the
gender ideology people for so long? You don't need to be anything other than
to think you're a woman, andmagically you're a woman. I mean,
up until now, we didn't evenneed to use the right pronouns to be
considered woman. We used to beable to say, oh yes, I'm
a woman, but I use neopronouns, and my pronouns are jizure.

(18:30):
So call me a woman, letme use your bathroom, let me go
into your career center, and youcan't say anything about it. Because I'm
a woman. I can have abeard and be a woman. I don't
need to have the surgeries to bea woman. I don't even need to
wear women's clothing. I can justsay I'm a woman. But then that
actually starts infringing upon women's spaces, and these people realize what the problem is.
Jk Rowling, if you remember, has been constantly harassed over making this

(18:56):
exact point. She was way aheadof the game. She said, look,
we can't have this gender ideology andhave feminism at the same time they're
mutually exclusive, which they are. That video was made by a group called
catch Up, and you saw theycut in a bunch of videos of like
TikTokers and influencers or whatever complaining aboutit. I guarantee you every single one
of those influencers that were complaining aboutthe fact that there were men at this

(19:18):
event. We're also calling JK Rowlingtransphobic two years ago for saying that men
cannot be women. Up until justa minute ago, that was a terrible
thing to say. But I mean, honestly, maybe they all had a
change of heart. So to allof you influencers that are out there complaining
about this now, welcome to conservatism. We're glad to have you, truly
we are. We're glad you sawthe error of your ways. Congratulations.
Honestly, the most truly baffling partof all of this to me is the

(19:42):
fact that the people who came upwith this third and fourth wave feminism that
says we need to have these womenonly spaces for women in tech, which
at the end of the video theydo point out that's kind of ridiculous.
This should we should have reached thepoint in the battle for gender equality where
we just have gender equality and youhave a tech summit and everyone can show
up and everyone can present their resumesto these big firm recruiters, and then

(20:06):
it's just done based off of merit. If you're good at your job and
you know what you're talking about, you get the job, and if you
don't, you don't. And itshouldn't matter whether or not you're a man
or a woman. It should matterwhether or not you're good at what you
do, but no, Third andfourth wave feminism says we can't have that.
And then at the same time, the gender ideology says you can't exclude
men who want to be women. And the people who came up with this

(20:29):
are the same people, and they'rethe people coming out of these big universities
like Yale and Harvard, these historicinstitutions that used to be for geniuses,
and the people that come out ofthem can't understand why those two things don't
fit together. So what we havehere is this snake eating its own tail,
as left wing ideology just bumps upagainst itself and destroys itself. But
the good news is we get tosit back and as conservatives get to just

(20:52):
point fingers and laugh at it,which is my favorite part of the day.
But yeah, congratulations, liberals, welcome to reality. We're glad to
have you. I'm just sorry itwas so much work for you to get
here. All right, that isgoing to do it for the show today
once again. Congratulations Speaker Mike Johnson. I'm very glad, I'm sure most
of us are that this is finallyover. Although I did enjoy the show,
I'm glad that it's done. I'mready to move on from this.
