Like you like running? Okay, parents love when you run.
Your parents love that you guys run too, because if
you get tired of runner over there?
Speaker 1 (00:57):
What are you doing listening to thinking when you're doing
your long runs.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
I don't listen to music when I run. I like
to listen to the city. So if I'm in a
new place like New York, then I like to listen
to what's going on around me, and God, I felt
like I was in everybody's conversation this morning.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
New Yorkers are so loud tell everything that you just.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Different stories about people's days, people's lives, people's work. And
I was just amusing myself listening to these people talk
and shout.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
My favorite thing that you noticed running today?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Do you know?
Speaker 4 (01:33):
My favorite thing I noticed was how many rollerbladers there are.
There were like I was like, I would.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Love to be able to do that. Looks them not
with flying, It looks crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
It's a new col thing in New York.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yeah, people like with like boom boxes and just dance.
Like when I say dancing, like skating, dancing is crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Have you guys seen that yet?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Have you seen people rollerblading and roller skating around the city? Yeah,
do you guys rollers blade or not yet? No, Okay,
it's coming.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
It's coming.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Go to Central Park and there's like parties happening.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yes, it's crazy, like.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Eight o'clock in the morning. I know. It was like
proper and.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Sometimes you're listening to your music, we have to talk
about that. Yeah, yeah, congratulations. I mean, if you don't know,
Tom has two number one albums in the UK. He's
working on his fourth album.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Do we have a date already for that?
Speaker 3 (02:19):
It's next year, yeah for sure.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Okay, okay, so worry you right now mentally working on
this album, making sure it's who you are at the moment.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
I think for me, like when I first went into
the studio for the first time, going I'm about to
create a new album. I worked a lot with Justin China,
who's amazing, and I said to him, like, this is
my fourth album now, and I really want this album
to tell.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
The whole story and the whole truth.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
And I wanted it to be a very autobiographical album.
I wanted it to tell the story of how of
where I was, the dark times and the tough times,
to how I got through to the person that I
am now and like how positive mentally, physically everything is
(03:11):
right now.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
So that's what the album is.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
It's a journey, it's a colorful, it's full of energy,
and but that key word is truth, Like there's a
it's all just tells the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
And I think that's why all your fans connect with you.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
You have almost two.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Billion streams worldwide. Congratulations, that's huge. Over a million followers
on all of your platforms, people are really connecting to
the truth that you've been putting out.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
And now with your single out.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Higher, Congratulations Huge.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
It starts off.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
With I love America, by the way, then you you
love it? I love it so much?
Speaker 2 (03:57):
What I mean, Congratulations You're song.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
Higher.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
It starts off with with a chorus, like a huge,
loud chorus, and then you get into that.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Fucking funky i'd be Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Just so fun to hear it with people around and
when you're performing and seeing the crowd so involved in
in love with what you've made.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
How did I feel?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Crazy?
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Like that's when we were right and Higher. I wanted
a song to that just did everything that you said.
I wanted people to feel elevated. I wanted people to
feel positive, and I wanted people to feel that energy,
and I wanted to take people to and myself to
that higher spot, you know, and when you get there,
it's just euphoria, you know what I mean. So I
(04:45):
feel like that's what the song is about. That's what
the song makes me feel, and I hope other people feel.
And it's just a very exciting time at the moment.
I just feel like a lot of stuff is bubbling,
and I feel like stars are aligning, and not only that,
like I'm ready, especially for America, Like I'm ready to
be here. I'm ready to show the American audience like
(05:08):
who I am, what I am. And I really hope
that and I really think that you guys over here
will connect with the person I am because I'm just.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
I'm a normal I'm a normal guy just doing doing
what I love doing.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
And and I think that's what people love, you know.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Yeah, and seeing all the success that you've had in
the UK Glastonbury just a few weeks ago, I mean
you get mad love over there.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
How is performing there?
Speaker 4 (05:39):
Oh, it's different levels. It's something that I've always dreamed
off and to be doing big shows, like it's a
dream so over there when I'm at home, obviously the
crowds are crazy, but we've built it from from nothing
to now crazy amount of people.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
And I believe that I can do that here.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Like you just plant a seed and let the tree
grow and and I'm going to keep watering that plant
until until until I get to where I'm over there.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Over here, we see it happening, it's all forming.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
The conversations are being had and you see some of
your favorite artists that started in the UK or started
in smaller.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Cities and they've bubbled up.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Who are some of those artists that you have in
your music playlist with our iHeartRadio app or just people
that you've always looked.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Up to, someone who's like absolutely popping right now and
someone that I've looked at.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
I'm gone. She is the definition of pop star. Charlie XCX.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Charlie XCX.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
Do any of you guys listen to Charlie a little bit?
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Yeah you've heard, but yeah, she's killing it. And obviously
she's come come over from England and made a big
noise over here. And American artists that I'm really into,
an artist called Blast who is an amazing vocalist, amazing lyricist,
(07:06):
and I'm seeing him bubble at the moment and it's
just the amount of time before he blows blows like
he's blowing, but.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
Like until he goes, I can see it happening.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
So yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
And on that theme, we love to ask inside of
our Duncan Music Lounge, if you were to pop into
one of the Duncans here on forty second or something
and you were able to bring someone to.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Share an isolat with, dead or alive. Who would that
person be?
Speaker 3 (07:34):
What like musician or just in general, anyone.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
I'd bring my dad over itamily squad. Yeah, my dad
is an irishman. He's just a buildup.
Speaker 3 (07:48):

Speaker 4 (07:48):
But he loves America, like the American dream, like from
being like from England or where my dad's from in Ireland.
You look, we look at American go wow, like get
into America even to like go on holiday.
Speaker 3 (08:02):

Speaker 2 (08:11):
What does your dad tell you about following your passion?
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Just to always follow my dream?
Speaker 4 (08:16):
And and but the one thing that I said this today,
what my dad has taught me is that when following
your dream, just always be polite, always have manners, and
and always be nice.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
And that's what I tried to do.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
Always just be nice and and take don't take anything
for granted.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
You know, yeah yeah yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
And we have some little kiddos here to bring your
kid to work day. You guys want to come up
