We always like to do theme episodes here on the
local show, and next week we will be announcing right
here Sunday night at eight pm the inductees for twenty
twenty six Class of the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame.

(12:54):
Will you tell me before next week or do I
have to wait till next Sunday? I don't know. Many
fair enough? Fair enough? All right? We're going to do
another track from our live at the Abbey Bar open
mic session from a couple of months ago. We're going
to feature Windows Silk Live and also Debo and our
Hall of Famers, or at least a band under consideration

(13:17):
to be inducted in the Hall of Fame someday. The
Circus sixty eight keep it here. The local show continues
next on The River ninety seven three and the Free
iHeartRadio app. We asked people what they love most about
rock and roll. I like how these.

Speaker 14 (13:30):
Musicians can actually play their instruments and it doesn't sound
like a bunch of new age.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Crap for me. It's just that rock analog sound and yeah,
there's nothing quite lank to and what they don't well,
I think that pretty much sums it up right there.
The people have spoken. This is the River ninety seventh three.

Speaker 21 (13:47):
It really is why I love the River so much.
Great radio station Central PA's real rock variety. Where can
you shut up? For a wide variety of affordable, new
ad pre owned vehicles popmin Ford.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Those are our friendly Valentine is here as well as
always and it curates the music for the show. And
we have another artist from our Live from the Abbey
Bar open mic night from a couple of months ago. Yes,
we had several bands there that night, and more so
of the singer songwriter variety, but with the bands in
the room, a lot of them wowed us and this
one in particular Windows Silk, some new up and comers,

(14:21):
and I'll let them introduce the song here. They give
you the title right at the beginning. Here, so again
live from the abby Bar, it's Windows Silk on the
local show the River ninety seven three.

(18:29):
on the River ninety seven three, Krem Della Krem and
of course all of the songs from the Abbey Bar
open Mic Night recorded by a Grammy Award winner, Fred
Pellegrini Junior.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
We love you, Freddie. It sounds so good and that's
a great song man. They were awesome, agreed. Those guys
rock and we'll feature more. A guy from the Abbey
Bar coming up in weeks to come. Who's up next, Brandon?
We are moving on this guy. He likes to defy genres.
He's done almost everything under the sun, including uh, including
country and uh. This is kind of a ray into

(19:00):
the rock genre. We'll say this is off his divergent album.
It's debo, the winner of Best Dress two years in
a row with his single Big Bone Girl on the
local show The River ninety seven three, Big.

Speaker 22 (19:33):
Big Bone, what you name? She looks so good, a
big boy fray I'll try the pevy man side. It's
up set in the world on fire. She's got JS

(19:54):

three on the local show with his rock song Big
Bone Girl. He does everything, man, he can do it
all ross country rock. He'll do a folk song next time. Yeah.
He via polka. Right, and we talk about, you know,

(23:02):
the CPMA consideration process too. Debo is one of the
ones that said we should start a category for best
collaboration because nobody collaborates like Debo out there. He's featured
a lot of other local artists on his records and
again dove into all kinds of different genres as well.
So thanks for the recommendation, Debo, and keep on rocking
good stuff. And now we get to our Hall of

(23:23):
Fame spotlight portion of the show. Always like to wrap
the show up with someone who's either in the Hall
of Fame or a consideration to be in the central
pens of any music hall of fame, and this one's
kind of a mix of both.

Speaker 6 (23:33):
Right.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Lead singer is already a member of the central pence
of any music Hall of Fame, but the band is not.
This is kind of a side project of lead singer
Pete Palladino while the Badlys were on pause, right, so
he kind of most of the songs written by the
Badles are usually come from Brett Alexander, and this was

(23:54):
kind of Pete's side project where he kind of put
his own spin on the rock genre and you know,
thees alt and all that kind of stuff, and uh,
this is one of their best the circa sixty eight
nothing like before. On the local show The River ninety
seven three out.

(28:42):
That is the circa sixty eight nothing like before with
Pete Palladino from the bad Les. That's his side project.
Of course, Pete is in the Hall of Fame with
the bad LEAs and the River presents the bad Les.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
