eight fifteen. Then right after that, why it's going to
be another interesting week on Capitol Hill. Plus we'll check
in with News Nation Chief Washington anchor Leland Viddert. He
(00:21):

Brought to you by my friends over at on Coo Shore.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Good morning, Natalie, Good morning, Well.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Air travel back to quote unquote normal today. The longest
government shutdown in history ended and the FAA ended its
flight reduction emergency order at six a m. This morning,
which means that the government is no longer requiring some
flights be canceled in a bid to ease the stress
and resolve the staffing issues among air traffic controllers who
(01:01):
had been working without pay. But according to the FAA,
they have been showing up to work. So things are
you know, moving along as they were hoping right before
the Thanksgiving travel rush. Now there are still some delays
and cancelations, but nowhere near those numbers that we saw
in the last week or the week's past.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, officials said that staff trigger events, you know, when
they have just two few staffers to safely conduct air
travel at different airports, went down from a record eighty
one on November eight to just one yesterday. So that
gives you a sense as to how big of a
shift we've seen. And it's good news because things are
about to get really really busy at airports as Thanksgiving
(01:44):
holiday is right around the corner. And that's why I said,
you know, weeks ago, I thought that the government shutdown
was going to end in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday
because there was just no way that you could have
that kind of chaos across the country. That was going
to be just a mass loser for everybody involved. So
things ramping back up, and it looks like they'll be
(02:06):
back to normal well in advance of the big travel
week next week.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Right.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
And fortunately we haven't had a blizzard to deal with
as well, because that's never an easy thing to deal
with at the airports as well.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Well.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
We've got a fifty year old who is planning to
run for Miami Dade County mayor in twenty twenty eight.
He actually lost the bid for the Miami Beach mayoral spot.
He is now this morning behind bars. His name is
Victor Rosadio Meatandan. He's facing several charges including battery on
a police officer with a firearm.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
Number three is eluding police officer, Number four is disorderly conduct.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
To the piece, and number five nuisance so video on
social media shows a driver leading officers on a short
pursuit over the weekend. That pursuit ended in his arrest
in southwest Miami Dade. Witnesses say that he had been
shouting into a mega phone outside of an apartment complex
when an undercover cop confronted him.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
So weird.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Bond has been denied for the Republican mayoral candidate. And
that's all we know so far as to what went down.
But the reason why behind it we still don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Yeah, it doesn't sound like it was one of those
situations where you had someone with a megaphone, you know,
outside a building professing their love for someone. It didn't
seem like it was one of those romantic Hollywood type moments.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
It seems like it was something else.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah, and look, I don't know if this is now
going to hurt his bid for Miami Dade County mayor.
You would think, you know, back in the day, you
would absolutely kill your chances of winning an election. But
these days, who the hell knows? It could be street
cred and he can get a boost from it.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
I think a lot of people don't even know who
he is.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah, I think I think this actually gives some name recognition,
to be honest, with some.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Street credit some time behind bars.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
What else is going on, Natalie, Well, somebody that's not
behind bars is morning. A local YouTube personality arrested and
added jail within twenty four hours. His name is Jack Doherty,
and he says he was shooting a video on the
street at about three a m.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
This weekend when police arrested him. That was the worst
twenty four hours ever.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I wish I did something crazier to make it worth it.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
The twenty two year old says that there was no
traffic on the street while he was shooting his video.
And police arrested him because he took too long to
cross the streetway. Now, I do have to say this
is not his first.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Running with the law. He actually got busted.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
He crashed a two hundred thousand dollars vehicle on the
turnpike he was live streaming and the target of a
swatting call. So he does have history of these run
ins with the law. For the sake of the gram
if you will.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, and he had some big split with an OnlyFans creator,
all kinds of drama there. I had these influencers like
I don't know who these people are but twenty two
years old and bringing in the money that he was
bringing in with twenty eight million followers across all these
different platforms, Like I don't even even have that step
game Ryan, Yeah, I guess I gotta go. Can somebody
loan me at two hundred thousand dollars McLaren so I
(05:12):
can live stream and crash it. So I guess that's
what That's what goes viral and gets you notoriety these days.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
All right, let's get to one more quick story here.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Oh yeah, for the first time this season, the Miami
Dolphins with a win streak They won their second straight
yesterday sixteen to thirteen. This is a big one because
it was the first time back to back wins, first
time in Madrid overtime over the Washington Commanders in Spain.
Mimmy's heading into its by week at four and seven
and two and a half games back in the final
playoff spot. So the Fans are hosting the New Orleans
(05:44):
Saints on November thirty, is hoping to keep that momentum going,
even if it's a little one.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, So I want to be fair to the Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I think the good to take out of this game
is that the team keeps playing for Mike mcdam. It
does not appear that he's lost the locker room, and
they've won three out of four. They've got the Saints
next after the buye, so they could get to six
and seven heading into a Monday night game against the
Steelers and other beatable team. I don't think the Dolphins
(06:16):
are a playoff team. I still think they need to
clean house. And what I think this does is it
might make it harder for them to make those tough
decisions to clean house at coach and quarterback, and it
puts them kind of in that no man's land where they're,
you know, a team that's not quite a playoff team,
but not really you know, at the top of the
draft either. And I did not understand some of the decisions.
(06:37):
I mean, that decision towards the end of the fourth
quarter to go for it on fourth and goal instead
of kicking the field goal and taking the lead almost
cost them the game. Luckily they won in overtime. And
then when it comes to the box, they lost to
the Bills yesterday forty four to thirty two in Buffalo.
I did not think they were going to win that game.
(06:58):
I thought, going into Buffalo Buffalo, coming off that loss
to the Dolphins, their worst loss of the season, there's
gonna be uphill climb for the Bucks.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
But if you're the Box, you know, it.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Seemed like the beginning of the season this was a
team destined to win the NFC South. They had a
pretty easy schedule overall. But they're in a really tough
stretch right now, losing recently to the Patriots, then yesterday
to the Bills. They've got the Rams, maybe the best
team in the NFC up next, probably a game they're
not going to win. And you've got the Panthers within
(07:30):
half a game of the NFC South lead, So the
Bucks are gonna have to figure some things out here
if they want to hang on to that division lead
and make it into the playoffs. Natalie Rodriguez with today's
top stories. Natalie, thanks so much. Now let's bring in
Weather Channel metiorologists race they check for today's forecast, brought
to you by my friends over at Brighter Home Services.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
So ray, no rain, no clouds, no.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
Cold, Nope, yeah, and no ray right kind of week
where I could put it on at really, But you know,
it's all in the details of dry weather. Deficits are climbing.
I mean, we're in the dry season. I don't see
much in the way of rainfall, maybe until later next week,
low mid eighties. I think the warmest days will be
like midweek, eighty three to eighty five. Probably not records,
(08:18):
but you're averag high this time of year for Tampa
seventy nine. For Miami it's eighty one, so a little
bit above normal. But the rainfall deficits between eight and
nine inches for both those areas, and don't.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
See much going on now.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
I did want to mention at least into next week,
big travel week coming up. It's gonna be a weak
storm going through the South early and midweek toward Thanksgiving,
but maybe a bigger storm for travel home the day
after Thanksgiving going through the northern tier of the US.
So maybe that's something this week we can get a
little better handle on because people are gonna be coming
in and going out of town. Travel, well, it's gonna
be very important.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah, everybody's breathing a sigh relief. The shutdown's over, so
travel back to normal. But then you mix in a
storm like that and it could upend things anyway. Weather
Channel mediaologist Race Stage would us this morning, Ray, thanks
so much, all right,
