(00:00):
Let's begin the show by starting it. Look at us, Hey, look
at us, Look at us.Who would have thought not me? Welcome

(00:28):
everyone to the speak easy come Jeff, that's groups. Hello, and this
is the show today. This isthe only people that are here. Thanks,
Ruth, not true, Thanks forhanging out with Jeff and Groobs on
a Thursday. We have clocks andwatches. Not true, a little tardy,

(00:48):
but here, Oh, go ahead, start the show. Sorry,
here's I thought we finally had adream come true and he was just gonna
go ahead and let us stop you. No, I thought, man,
we could show it's a normal stuff. Can't We can't. You're all arrested.
We're here. Hi. Uh twoo two is the time according to

(01:15):
a clock in the studio at ninetyseven won the Freak. I don't know
if that's Central standard or central daylighttime? Is a standard Central standard time?
According to a clock in the Freakstudios. I'm Mike Ryner. Wait
a minute, I would be Mike. What is the set to your tuner

(01:36):
is set to ninety seven to onethe Freak. They need to know that,
and you should run around wherever youare and make sure that every tunor
is set to ninety seven one theFreak. Good advice. If you're at
work, I would grab everyone's phone, download the iHeartRadio app, and then

(01:57):
make sure that they have ninety sevenwon the freak. That's good advice too.
That's all I have. Take itaway, Mike, all right,
I would be Mike Rener. Thereis and yes, this is the Speakeasy,
and we are joined today by theaforementioned Jeff Cavanaugh. Julie Dobbs is

(02:19):
here, and over the helm thereis Shoopy. What were all doing?
Things kind of got away from mefor a little while there, we were
a little prematuring. I ran intoa little bit of a rough patch.
Oh you did, I didn't.I don't know, You're that's a real
generic thing. Just had to goto rehab, okay, like in the

(02:42):
last Yeah, just get out there, right down. Just do you feel
like you worked through everything? Yeah? But I feel like I could relapse
at any moment. Oh dear.He was fiending for some dn M copy
points earlier. You're scratching his neck, Julie that d do you have him
now? Shoopy nod? And Ihanded him classic Chevrolet stuff. He's like

(03:06):
I was looking for the we're amess, yeah, but we're here.
Yeah, we are a mess, but we are here, and that's cool.
We have that going for us.It's good to have you back,
Jeffrey. Thanks. I don't knowwhat would have happened if I wasn't back,
man, I don't either. Iguess you'd have been here before the
song ended. People people just wouldhave heard more song before, probably would

(03:30):
have made a little bit more ofan effort to string my scene together properly
than I apparently did. So areyou saying that because I'm here, you
don't feel like you have to workhard? You're saying you along. That's
not what I'm saying at all. You're saying TC has a bag of nothing.
No, TC has quite a bit. Okay, you's saying any of

(03:52):
that, because I agree that TChas quite a bit. But I was
listening yesterday and many times I heardMike look TC dead in his eye and
be like, I think you're changein people's minds about you, and I
like people hate TC. He couldbe a little bit of a polarizing figure,
all right, and in the pastwhatever he would make an on air

(04:13):
appearance outside of of the framework ofthe of the show that he did with
Jake, he would people would beoff put by him. It's easy to
be off put by him if youdon't know him. But if you do
know him, and you know whata sound thinker he is, and that
he is very smart, and thaton a wide, wide array of topics,

(04:36):
there's a greater than zero chance thathe knows more than you. He
knows stuff about everything. It's reallyweird. Yes he does. Yeah,
it really derails me no matter whatyou bring up. He's like, did
you know? And I'm like, son of a bitch. But see that
could be off putting too, Sopeople don't know what to make of him.
Okay, and that's that's I'm surehe probably would admit that. That's

(04:58):
the battle he fights. I heardhim say yesterday that he hasn't always liked
himself and so that's fair. Yeah, to assume that others hate TC,
who, of course, is ateammate of ours that is kind enough to
fill in when someone's out. Yeah, we need those people. We do
need those people. Yeah. Good, If you have any gift cards you'd
like to donate so we can payour staff when they fill Yeah, yeah,

(05:23):
Jeff, stop, but also letus know, gift cards. We're
gonna go out and set up alongsidethis toll wind and put up toys for
TC, gift card donations, toysfor TC. Yeah, give us gift
cards, give us money, giveus toys, whatever you want, whatever

(05:44):
it is, it all goes tohim. Yeah. I think there is
a secondary market for gift cards becausea good friend of mine, his younger
brother, I think for a whilethat was his hustle. He would buy
gift cards for like fifty or sixtypercent of the cost and then sell them
for like eighty percent of the cost. He was just hustling with gift cards.
Yeah, seems like a good Yeah. A lot of work, Yeah,

(06:08):
a lot of work. But that'swhere it goes. Yep. It
is so so everybody today, We'regood. Okay, you pay attention in
there shop. I'm paying attention.Okay, we're talking about stuff for TC.
Yeah. We got Mike Udmon inhere. Mike, he's causing trouble
as always there he is. We'recausing trouble tickets. Wherever Mike goes,

(06:30):
chaos follows. Mike is unless heconfused. Mike is my Uh. He's
one of the guys that scares mein the hallway because I don't know how
to interact in hallways. But he'sgot to go to and his go to
is there he is? We shouldask, And so I tried to steal
it. And I tried to stealthere he is, and I ended up
there he is and the there heis guy, and that made it weird.
Mike, you're wanted in the studio. No, no, yeah,

(06:51):
I mean, you know, quitwatching poker, Quit watching poker, go
talk to go talk to your speaking. I think he'd be funny. Okay,
yeah, headset for him. Hedidn't need it. I don't want
to groups, you know, notto hear groups. He can hear us
just by being in here. Yeah, that's true. Come on in here,
Mike, Mike, I try tointerview. I can barely stand too,

(07:14):
and that's why I sit. Ineed to interview. Mike. Have
a seat there, Mike, Mike, could you introduce yourself to the listening
audience, please, Mike Hudman,Okay, how about that. Ge tell
us exactly what you're seeing around here? What's your job? What's my job?
Walk around and pick up messes?Okay? Cool? Yeah, clean
out? Yeah or you just nowno, these are messes other people creating

(07:41):
that straight amount. That's good.I don't know if you know this,
but you've been a big part ofthe show a few different days because I've
been going through some things when badthings happen. No no, no,
no, no no no, no, not at all. No. But
we had a week or so therewhere we were really really getting into my
hallway interactions because I don't know whatto do in a hallway when you see
somebody and you're walking, I don'tknow if you do yeah, and so

(08:03):
lottimes, I like avoid eye contactand just kind of wander. You were
the first guy that I saw thatI felt like you had to go to
I felt like you would go alot with there he Is. And I
was like, oh man, that'swhat I need is I need to go
to phrase. You mean what youdo, Mike? You mean I didn't
duck into another hall saw you Youhit me with there he Is a couple
of times and I was like,son of a bit, she's got a
thing. I think you're the besthallway guy that we've got. Wow.

(08:28):
Yeah, I'm serious about this becauseI'm used to drive what we call drive
bys. People drive by. Hey, the MIC's messed up in that room?
Can you fix it? And thenthey go and then you're like,
which, Mike, what wrong? Then there drive bys? Okay, okay.
Always Michael Gruber does that a lotto me. He'll come by and

(08:48):
say, hey, Mike, canyou straighten this out? It's usually this
one. This one falls off alot. Yeah. Yeah, mine's falling
off a couple of times. ButI've always gotten it back together while broadcasting.
You do you look at it wrong? I don't know. But when
you tighten it, you could keepspinning it for twelve years and it would
keep spinning. So that's probably notideal. Oh okay, I'll talk to

(09:09):
I'll talk to Brett Brett blanket Shipabout that somebody else? Yeah, because
well, he likes to He likesto create the stuff that you have to
come in and work on every oncein a while. Okay, you guys
had him on the show. No, you're a first guast. He's dying.
We wants to be on. Wedon't want to go. He has

(09:31):
some last Let me tell you somethingabout let me tell you something about Brett.
He's a lot like me, weirdHallway interactor. Oh is he?
Yeah? We should rank him.He and I will both we will one
hundred percent if we see each otherdouble eye avoidant. No, I don't
know what to say. Okay,we know we need to get him in

(09:52):
here. Yeah we did. Imean, you too need to confront each
other. We need nemesis confrontation here, right, Shoby, right, we
do. People are excited that Mike'shere because you were You're you're my uh
uh, you're my hallway guy.Interactive you well, no, you just
you're the guy who taught me accidentallywithout knowing it that you need to find

(10:16):
your thing for hallway. You gottahave something you're ready with, okay,
because I'm not quick enough and notdive into a hallway or under a chair
or something right when you see someone, Yeah, to have something ready to
fire at him. So it's notthe weird. We're both gonna take fifteen
steps before we get to each other. But I don't know what to do.

(10:39):
So so now I go, Mike, how long have you been rolling
with there? He is? Hasit been a while? Is that?
Has it been your go to fora couple of years? How we feel
about it? It's relatively new,Okay, It's it's one of those you
use when you don't know someone,Well, okay, and you're there he

(11:01):
is? Did it have a predecessor? No? The thing about there he
is, though, is it's gotto be delivered in such a way that
where they think that you do,yeah, know who they are. And
that's just an inflection trick. Yeah, it's a good one, you know,

(11:22):
but like, oh there, that'sand that's implying that you know what's
going on, which I really don'tknow what's going on. But you're identifying
someone as if like there he is, Like that matters you. I see
you now, I know we're ontrack. If it's not a there he
is or there she is situation, what do you go with? What's next

(11:46):
in line? This, of courseis Mike our Hallway interaction guru. Probably
oh damn, oh no, I'mgonna try that one odd damn And you
act like you forgot something and walkthe other way or what now? Yeah,
you dive left or right and goaround. Yeah, but you you

(12:09):
were fine with just a simple hey, how are you doing? You're very
good at that. And that's whatI'm trying to tell Jeff, Like,
you don't have to have this biggiant elaborate plan. You can just look
at someone and be like, hey, what are you? If they're not
looking, well, then that's onthem. Do you stare until they look.
You've issued the how are you,and you've done your part. They

(12:31):
can do with that what they wish. Do you say how are you?
To someone who's not looking? We'rewalking towards each other. There's you haul
between us. You can do that. Then if they still don't respond,
you hit them with a well,if you have a drink in your hand,
thrown on their face, okay themup, wake them up. Okay.

(12:54):
I wouldn't do that, all right, I wouldn't do that because then
it'd be a mess I'd have toclean up. Well, we appreciate at
you and every time we see youin the hallway, you're so kind and
nk you. You're good and itgoes a long way. So thank you.
Your mentor show meant a lot untilI forgot until the interaction and went
to my old saying there he is, there, there, there he is.

(13:18):
That's Mike all the way. Interactionguy. Thanks Mike, roll with
it all right, we got it. We do have a lot of mics
working here in the ninety seven tojust pointed out, Oh gosh, so
many? Yeah, all right,So what's on Mike or Mike? Yeah,
yea every day. I bet Mikewhat's on his mic? All the

(13:45):
way Mike has what's on today?Mike's mind is fueled by Socius Essential energy
drinks. You want to go back, I'm gonna go back to there he
is. You should because I hadI forgot it and I've gone back to
being quiet and just not making aneye contact. Ye can get back to

(14:07):
the area. There he is isbetter than silence for sure. Yeah,
there he is is. It's acatch all. Yeah, it's very all
purpose. It'll serve you well,watch out, y'all, he's here.
Is that too much? A littletoo much? And the finger guns that
you had guns? Stay with whatyou got. You're good here wink and
double finger gun for a while. So last Sunday, down in New Orleans

(14:35):
at the airport down there, therewas a Southwest Airlines flight flight thirty one
seventy two New Orleans to Atlanta. It was scheduled to take off at seven
twenty five on Sunday. Okay, got that alas, the departure ended up

(14:56):
being delayed by nearly three hours, and the flight wound up landing in Atlanta
at about twelve twelve am, whichwas after the scheduled nine fifty landing,
a strange ending to the busiest travelday of the year, where TSA security

(15:20):
screened more than two point nine mmillion passengers as everybody was coming home from
the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I appreciatethat the TSA is only looking for certain
drugs because I've been carrying some mylast couple of trips. Then I've noticed
that they're not in the market forwhat I'm working with, and that makes

(15:41):
me grateful. Well, the questionis what was the reason for this lengthy
delay. Well, because somewhere alongthe line between passengers boarding and actual takeoff,
somebody opened one of the emergency exitdoors, climbed out onto the wing

(16:04):
and was just hanging out out there. Oh no, what in the world
have you guys seen it? AceVentura? Where he does that? Groups
because there's someone on the wing. Some I think it's Ventura. Who could
ever know? I don't know ifit's a Ventura or not. But you

(16:26):
know what, this is something thatI've thought about doing on many occasions.
No, going to a wing,Yeah, I have. This is on
the ground though, Julie, youknow, but still, what do you
do that? I don't know.I just see it out there, and
I think that I would like toopen the door and climb out there and

(16:52):
just check it out and crawl ontothe wing. Yeah, I see what
things look like from the wing.Do that please? Because you would end
up in jail or something. Anddo you guys ever have doubts about the
entire premise of flight when you're aboutto take off? Just can't think about
it because every time I look outat the wing and I look at what
I'm sitting in and I'm like nothing. I don't understand how this thing is

(17:14):
just gonna speed up and then fly. I just don't understand. I don't
know either, but I'm with jewels. It's one of those things you just
can't worry about. You'll make yourselfcrazy, Yeah, you will. Some
deep breath and xanax or conipent whateveryou're prescribed, yeah, a little relaxant,
yeah, and then you'll be tellingeverybody everybody you don't know if these

(17:36):
are real. So that is ediblesthat kicked in late or a full dose
of mushrooms. Sure, Now,this guy, like, what's wrong with
people? I can't watch that videoenough? Did you see that someone made
a Christmas sweater that she is selling? Now? Of course she's making a
lot of money from it. Ofcourse, stool, I think you're right.

(17:59):
I just want to say it.Oh, but they made a Christmas
sweater and she's selling it, andit says that m effort isn't real.
It's like pointing to Santa. Ohbut he is. Of course he is.
Obviously, of course he is.I know. That's why I couldn't
believe they'd put that on a sweater. But it's kind of funny. We
have two texts. I have toread the eight one seven. Sometimes Julie

(18:22):
gets this inflection. It sounds likeshe's talking to her kid and is super
proud of the fact they just wipetheir own butt for the first time,
and that's talking to one of us. Usually she's so proud that we made
a sentence. Yeah in the fiveone two, Jeff, please, some
of us want to carry our drugsthrough TSA without you rubbing it in their
faces. Yeah, Well, she'llbe glad to know that. I,
for one, learned how to dothat just last week. What hell?

(18:45):
Yeah, did you use a dudewipe? Sorry, don't answer. Why
did I ask that? I don'tknow? What is it? What is
it? We're simpatico because I wasgoing to take him there anyway. Do
you ever use a wet wipe,a baby wipe, anything like that,
or just straight tepee? I'm justa straight TP guy. You don't ever

(19:06):
get a hankering for a nice moistcleanliness, Well, yeah, I kind
of do. Yeah, we'll getyou some dude wipes. Okay, we'll
get you some Yeah. Yeah, they're from Shark Tank. They say they're
flushable, but then the plumbers whotext in are like, they're not really,
but they market them is flushable,so you can just kind of whip.

(19:26):
Well, if you do that andthey're not flushable, are they gonna
clog stuff up down there? It'shard to say. I mean the product
says no, but we had plumberstext in that are like, you really
shouldn't. But I mean that's thewhole product is that it's flushable, so
we do. So. I don'tknow, and billions have been flushed and
wiped successfully. I guess you everused a bid day? Oh no,

(19:49):
I haven't, have you so Ihave one in my garage that is three
or four years old, because youknow, well, because you know,
talking about butt things and stuff.A listener at a previous station that I
worked at just had one sent tothe station for me. I haven't even
opened the box yet, like it'sstill in the cardboard box that it was
shipped in, sitting in the garage. But I need to hook it up

(20:11):
because I'm curious. Well, Ijust don't understand. It looks very understand
it either. But I will tellyou this. I know, and in
fact, we know guys who swearby this skin. Weade swears by the

(20:32):
bidet. Oh was he a bedayHe's a beday man, and I think
that it's I'm sure it's incredible.I just it looks like it'd be hard
to hook up. So let meokay, you understand you play that?

(20:52):
Does that play a bit of audiomagic? Again? Was that it felt
good? And then he fell in? No, he's just because that's not
what ads. It's like splashing thewater up noise, right what but the
day just fires it out of thelittle thing. It's not the day specific

(21:18):
drop. I'm trying to do thison the fly man. I knew exactly
what was doing. So got youexit? Make emergency exit? Huh,
so he's venture too. He justwalked out of the and then we fall

(21:44):
off jump off when you come. They can't. They came and got it,
and he was They didn't go gethim off the wing. I bet
he climbed down and then he jumpedoff. Somehow got him down from there,
either by talking to him or Idon't know, maybe they tasered him
or something. Okay, so liketheater hook, Oh yeah, maybe a
theater. I always wondered, becauseI've seen movies. If you were in

(22:07):
flight and you open one of those, would it really like suck people out
the door or would it just belike, hey, stupid, shut the
door if you open the window. No, Like if you opened an emergency
exit while I was all going door, I think it would suck everybody out
into the sky. You think,so it was what the cabins are pressurized
and all that, and all ofa sudden you do that and everyone's going
to tump over and tomp out.Okay, but if I were four rows

(22:30):
up from it, you really thinkit's pulling me? Do you ever seat
built on? No, you're screwed. Yeah, you're out the window way
and contrary to what I used tothink when I was a little girl,
you cannot walk amongst the clouds. And there's like if they do on care
bears. You tried. I usedto think that you could like run around

(22:51):
and bounce on the clouds, becausethey do on care bears. Who dishrrible
answer his question? Have you tried? I tried? Have I tried to
run around on clouds? Yeah?Yeah? Like, how do you know
it doesn't work? Because of science? Who's done? I learned about clouds
and elementary school. They're not strongjust gas or whatever. Oh they're not
strong enough. No, you can'tbounce around on them. That's so it

(23:12):
looks so soft, though I knowit'd be so fun. It's two and
four. Got it a day severalweeks ago. It's definitely a bathroom game
changer. Hey, text in thisis just between you and me. Texture.
Is it pleasurable or just clime? What Jeff might have found new motivation

(23:32):
to solid depending on the actually shockedyou have it, although I'm also not
shocked because that's manual labor or pleasure. The A one seven Let me come
set that b hole squirter up,Jeff, my boy, all right,
take you up all that. Itcan't be that hard. It just looked

(23:52):
like there was a lot to it. So I put it back in its
box and moved on with my day. Yeah. Oh man, did you
see the text that was from aplumber about the wipes and said, yeah,
keep flushing him. It keeps usall in business. Yeah. And
another guy who said he saw ahouse that was clogged with nothing but those
and poop. But how can theymarket it as flushable if it's not supposed

(24:14):
to be flushed. Yeah, anythingis flushable technically. And Mark Cubans invested
in this, and he's clearly onhard times. That's why he had to
sell the Maverick. Is he goingto sue us for talking about his dude
wipes company? No, it allmakes sense if they clogged the toilet.
Oh man, think we're excited toall be back together today. No,
I'd say we are. I'd saywe are that. That is one bitch.

(24:37):
And first segment text in what doyou think of that segment coming up
next? Like Mike, it's Julie'ssports desk. Julie give us a really
professional tease. Okay, Well,it's also not just the day that we're
all back together. It's Cowboys gameday and Tiger Woods is golfing. All
of that coming up next on JulieSports Test
