In this episode, we stick close to home and highlight one of the many wonderful vendors that you'll find at Good Foods Grocery. I had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Steve and Mary Kennedy, owners of Clean Conscience Chocolates.
Mary is Co-Founder and Chocolatier Steve is Co-Founder and Head of Operations Bios: Mary started her career in high tech sales and after getting tired of corporate life, took the plunge to pursue a dream and became a personal chef for her local community in Fredericksburg, back in the very early days of personal 'chef-ing'.
Over time, her special homemade chocolate 'thank you' treats for her clients became so popular, she decided to pursue her passion of chocolate and became a chocolatier and soon opened her own shops and eventually, in partnership with Steve, decided to launch their own line of healthy chocolates that better aligned with their commitment to a healthy lifestyle - and Clean Conscience Chocolates was born.
Steve also had a long career in sales, business development and consulting for high-tech start-ups. After meeting Mary, they jointly decided to switch gears and apply their entrepreneurial spirit to their own venture and go into business together doing what they both love and helping other people find healthy chocolate snacks they don't need to feel guilty about eating.
If you're in the Richmond area, you'll find Clean Conscience Chocolates at Good Foods Grocery and you won't be disappointed because come on, who doesn't like chocolate? Except for maybe Steve...but that was only in the beginning.
