Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning time kiss one.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
I don't know if you take topic suggestions anymore, but
I got a good one that I think people will
go viral about. And I know I have a very
very long list of them from my brother's work and
some from my work, but a topic of most insane
crazy excuses of either why you're.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Late to work or can't make it to work that day.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Cause I don't know what's been going on lately, but
people have had the most insanely stupid excuses.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
First of all, thank you for the talk back with Tiff.
You can contribute today by holding down the microphone next
to the play button. You are also more than welcome
to give me a call as well. Five win three seven,
four nine, one oh seven one. Great timing on that one.
It's a Monday morning. We're now fully in the swing
of back to school.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
This is it, this is We're back. Can't use the excuse.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Anymore because we're already back. Speaking of late, that's the
key word you're gonna need for the Lotto tickets coming
up at And I want to know, let's get into it.
The excuses you've either heard or you've used for running late.
Last week, I had gotten a calendar invite from my
direct boss of the radio station and then the boss
(01:14):
of like all the radio stations.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
They said, we need to have a meeting, and I
knew it. I knew it.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
I knew it when I got that calendar invite that
something was up. So we sit down for the meeting
last week. I needed a couple of days to cool
off from this meeting. That's why we haven't talked about
it until today. But one of the things they told
me is said, Tiffany, you are constantly late for things.
You are late to very important things. You're just late
(01:41):
all the time. And I knew they were right. I knew,
I knew they were right. I get it. I needed
a couple of days to admit that to myself. But
they are right that what's it called when you're really
angry at someone or something?
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Even though they're right, what is that called?
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Because it was boiling inside me for days after the meeting.
And I typically like to pride myself on telling the truth,
not always, but you know, I do my best at it.
I will come up with whatever lie I need to
as to why I'm late, and I won't even think
twice about it, I will feel no remorse, nothing. I
(02:20):
don't know what is chemically wrong with me when it
comes to chit chatting about being late, but it will
right off the tip of my tongue, and I'll get
angry at them for being angry at me for being late.
I know it's my cross to bear. I did ask
my therapist at one point or another. It came up
in conversation in this past year. You know, I had
recently was self diagnosed with ADHD, and she said, you know,
(02:42):
a really big trait for people with ADHD is that
you could be late a lot because you think you
have more time than you do and you're kind of,
you know, all over the place getting ready and this
and that. And I was like, oh my god, it
opened up so many doors for me because I hate you.
All my friends know. It's called tiff time is what
we operate on. And it's not not like an hour
late for things, but it's a it's a good, healthy,
(03:04):
five to fifteen minutes late for a lot, which in
the corporate world doesn't always go over very well.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
So I want to hear from you excuses.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
And I'm wondering if we'll get any really really good
ones like just it just rolled off the tip of
your tongue. Or if you work in management and somebody's
told you that they're late for blank reason and you
knew right away you said that's a lie.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
I want to hear from you again. I'll rattle off
a couple of ways to get in touch with our show.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
If I have went three, seven, four, nine, one oh
seven one, or you can shoot me a DM at
the tiff to F's potter.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Like the Wizard.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Good morning. You're waking up with tip in the morning
on Kiss one oh seven one. You have got great
timing if you're running late, because late happens to be
the keyword you're gonna need for the lotto tickets coming
up next. And the reason why is because we're in
the midst of talking about excuses you've used for running late,
and or if you've heard this excuse before, maybe you're
(03:59):
a man of some sort, so we're gonna filter through
your talkbacks.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
I don't think it's stupid though, because he keeps saying, Okay,
I'm on my way.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
And then he's on his way.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
It takes like three and four hours and it kisses
me all, and we always end up in an argument
because it's the same thing over and over again. I
tell somebody something, bothers me m M.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
There are chronically on time people, and then there are
chronically late people, and I feel like I'm somewhere in
the middle of that, leaning a little bit more towards late.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
I don't ah, Someone's are.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Rolling their eyes at me right now, but I don't
like to be on time for things. I don't need
to be first to this thing. I just need to
get there. That's one thing they used to say to us.
If you're five minutes early, you're on time. If you're
on time, you're late. I'm like, okay, bye, hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
You're on the air. Excuses you views to you are
running late.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
I once told my boss that I couldn't come into
work because my a basement had flooded and I didn't
know what to do, so I had to call plumbers,
when truly I just wanted to take the day off
because I was hungover. My basement was not flooded. But yeah,
(05:19):
it worked out perfectly.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
I do you still.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Work at this place?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
I do?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Okay, oh god, Well, you can remain anonymous if you want,
but you definitely made me giggle this morning.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Oh, no problem, anytime you will take care.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I appreciate you, all right, Coming on next, your chance
to win a lotto tickets.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Isn't that bad? Isn't is that bad karma?
Speaker 3 (05:41):
If you lie about something, are you afraid that you're
gonna get bad karma? Oh?
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Because you're waking up with stiff in the morning on
when I was.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Seven to one.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
