Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
In the morning, and Hi, good morning, it's a Thursday.
Weather's been tremendous. Happy to be here with you. I
can't wait to talk about this at seven twenty this morning.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
We might even do it a little bit Earli around
seven ten.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
Obviously, the stories around Hurricane Helene are tragic, tragic, and
for us it feels out of sight, out of mind.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Right, we had gotten some rain, and I honestly think
I came back, I came back from the weekend being like, Wow,
it was so nice to have all of this rain
for us, because it was just like regular rain, but
in Asheville, and of course all up and down the
coast of Florida, devastation and the videos and the death
tolls are still rising, and so there's lots to see
on it. However, imagine being a bachelourette with eleven girls
(00:56):
on your bachelorette party in Asheville the weekend of the hurricane.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
The story is insane.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
I've shared it so many times that of course now
I'm going to share it with you.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Of Course, you and I you're the biggest we have
to talk about it.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
So that's coming later on in the show around seven
twenty this morning, cme, how are you best way to
keep listening to Kisses on IR radio? When you search us,
You'll be with us for the entire morning, and I'd love.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
To have you, you know, every day.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
At six fifty, I dive into the three things you
need to know to get your day started in Sincy,
including what the Reds are doing with Pete Rose.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Currently and our girl Chapel Rowe right here.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
She's gonna headline SNL as the musical guest later on
this season.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with TIF on kiss when I was seven one.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
We're just before seven o'clock on this Thursday. I think
we've entered Sincey's second fall. It's tunning outside in the afternoon,
a little chilly of course to start off here in
the fifties, but beautiful weather weekend wise all the way
through football, fall sports. I mean, it's just beautiful, nothing
but blue sky's in sunshine.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Really enjoying that for sure.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
All right, let's start off with Pete Rose and the
next and new way that the Reds are honoring him
at Great American Ballpark.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
A banner now hangs on the gates outside the home
plate enters at Great American Ballpark, paying tribute to Pete Rose,
who died Monday at the age of eighty three. The
banner features a picture of Rose on one side, his
number fourteen and signature on the other, and we'll miss
you Pete in big font in the middle.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
So fires very cool.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
You know.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
The Reds had just released Marty Brenneman, by the way,
was the first person to sign it. The Reds released,
and they keep releasing video footage of him. But there
was this really cool sizzle reel that they put out yesterday.
I retweeted it if you want to see it. There's
just something about First of all, I love old sports
footage in general, but it's cool to see Red's country
(02:53):
back during the seventies when they won the World Series.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I just it was cool. I loved it.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
So no word on services yet, but when there is,
I'll have it, foy all right.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Second to three.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Things you need to know this morning. I don't have
a Diddy update for you that's really noteworthy, but we
are going to talk about r Kelly and I don't
mean to bucket them in the same because their cases
are very different.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
But R.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Kelly's name gets brought up.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Quite a bit because of the situation with p didting
and there's a new documentary coming out this month from
R Kelly's children.
Speaker 7 (03:30):
He wants to be the child of the father that
is out here hurting women and children.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Everywhere we go.
Speaker 7 (03:38):
Everything we do, it's always going to have some type
of like double meaning under it, or someone's going to
read between lines that aren't there. He knows exactly why
we can't have the relationship that we would have liked
to have with him.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
I should have pulled the chargers while that was playing,
because I mean, there's very very good chance that R.
Kelly is going to spend the rest of his life
behind bars. But I'm just wondering what his exact charges were.
He's been tried, This is just from Google. Tried, multiple
tried in multiple civil suits and criminal trials starting in
nineteen ninety six and culminating to twenty twenty one. His
(04:18):
conviction was for violation of the Man Act and Racketeering
Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, and a twenty twenty two
conviction for production of child pornography. With what we're learning
about Diddy and the audio I played for you yesterday,
there's a chance that Diddy could have a very similar charge.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
We'll see though, and you know I'll keep you posted
on it.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
How about some good news if you're an Olivia Rodrigo fan.
Her tour sold out like crazy. We didn't even really
get tickets here. I was watching that. I was watching
the same footage you were through social media at Rapperina.
That was the closest state she came to us other
than Columbus. But she filmed her Guts tour and it's
come to Netflix on October twenty ninth. I believe it's
(05:02):
the show out of la that they are. That's the
one that they filmed, which is pretty standard. I feel
like Taylor's Sofi, right, that's what they used Sofi to
film her movie. Okay, that is three things you need
to know for the third of October. I cannot begin
to tell you the story that we're about to get
into at seven twenty. Imagine going on your bachelorette party
(05:25):
with eleven girls, getting stranded in the mountains of Ashville,
North Carolina, on your bachelorette party and Hurricane Helene. This
story is crazy. We're gonna break that down for you
at seven twenty. Best way to listen is on iHeartRadio
Good Morning.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Kiss let us seven one Hi, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Imagine being stranded in Ashville in the mountains on your
bachelorette party.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
With no food, no water.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
All you have of those white ankle booties that every
girl brings on her bachelor party.
Speaker 8 (06:06):
Like I think of this stuff that I would bring
to a bachelorette party. It's short black dresses with eight
hundred pairs of underwear stilettos.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Hopefully by now you've recognized Sarah's voice, friend of of
our she's on our radio Inner Circle here, but her
real job is down with Kick Chris, and I sent
her this story yesterday and she's like, oh my god.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
We were going back and forth, so we have to
talk about this on the air.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
First of all, I want to say there's two things
I want to say before I tell you guys the
full story on this one.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
First, this story.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Comes out of Boston, and my radio friend Ashley in
the Gym in morning show interviewed this girl because she's
a Bostonian and I'm taking the words directly out of
Ashley's mouth right now, because she said it best.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
If it's out of sight, it's out of mind.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
And here in Cincy, we had tons of rain over
the last week or so, but we didn't have nearly
any damage. We actually came back in here and said, Wow,
it was so nice to have rain this weekend because
our schedules weren't as busy, so.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
We were very disconnected from just how serious. Yoh, that
is so so bad. But we have people here.
Speaker 8 (07:17):
Locally, Matthew, twenty five ministries they've been had now, sending
over supplies and taking care of people that did deal
with it in a really bad way like this story alone.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Okay, so I'll set the scene. This girl is a bride.
She takes ten of her bridesmaids or friends on this
bachelorette trip to the mountains of Asheville. Asheville had no
idea that the hurricane was going to be as bad
as it was, because obviously they've checked the weather. They
wouldn't have gone. It just to them looked like it
was going to be rain. At that point, you've got
eleven girls going on a trip. If it's just rain,
(07:50):
you're going you can't cancel it right, so they are
in the mountains, they go to bed on Thursday night.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
I think the timing on this is important.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Thursday night, three crashes into the Airbnb and then I
pulled the rest of the audio from my friend Ashley's
morning show, We're Gonna listen together, and then debrief.
Speaker 9 (08:08):
Eleven thirty am, i'd say our phones went dead, and
then from there that's when it got really scary. The
storm ended about three PM and we went outside to
kind of a fry damage.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
Yeah, on Friday, and that's when we realized we were screwed.
Speaker 9 (08:23):
Like there were trees down everywhere blocking the huge like
nine mile highway. We came up, there's a whole other
side of the highway. We hadn't even explored. It was
just both ways. All you could see is trees down,
like no street. We had nothing. We ended up having
to split like a box of noodles. We would be
have like I had like one day, I had like
three pieces of bacon and like three leaves of romain
(08:45):
lettuce because there's so many of us and.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
We had there was eleven.
Speaker 9 (08:48):
Yeah, it was awful. So by Friday, which is horrible,
we were out of water. Well. So actually Saturday night
we heard a man's voice and this was not the
same man, so someone had hiked themup in calling down
to us basically hello Hello. So we all ran outside
hearing like someone's voice and he was like, you guys
are going to be trapped here for weeks if you
(09:09):
don't HiPE down the mountain. And then we hiked the
three hours down and we met a retired firefighter, Terrelle James.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
He goes by TJ.
Speaker 9 (09:19):
And he was so kind, put us all in the
back of his Dodge Chuck and drove us into town
to like a safety zone at Low's where they were
giving out fire.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
If you guys were thinking to yourself, like what would
it look like to hike down a mountain for three hours?
First off, I think this is important too. The clothes
that you guys packed were for a bachelorette party. Guys,
they didn't pack like, Hey, we're going to be hiking
down a three hour hike down a mountain.
Speaker 9 (09:45):
We were so hungry and so thirsty. Honestly, I think
our anxiety helped with the hunger a little bit. Yeah,
Like I think just like survivalist mode. But we only
had one bottle of water each and it was so
taxing and like to only take one little sip every break.
Speaker 8 (09:59):
Yeah, this is yeah, Sarah going down a mountain stilettos
with all your love no cell service is an actual nightmare,
like lifetime movie. Yes, there could be something that we
could see on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
The point that she kept making though, is that you know,
they were mobile enough to be able to hike the
three hours down the mountain without food or water or
any of that, but is no and they I cut
it out of the story, but there was a point
where they did run out of water and one of
the girls on the bachelorette party went and hiked and
found an hoa complex and this elderly couple said, you
(10:39):
can take whatever you want from our hose.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
Its survival.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Yeah, and that she made a point to say, like
there are people still up in that mountain that can't go.
That elderly couple can't leave. They have no cell service,
they have no food, they have no water, they have
they just I can't sear.
Speaker 8 (10:55):
I'm And that's just one area. That's one story that
we're hearing about. Like imagine all the hundreds thousands of
other people that are dealing with it's so much worse.
I want to say that I heard somewhere there are
almost two hundred fatalities just from this hurricane alone. Oh yeah,
So just because it's not bad here in Cincinnati, just
(11:16):
you know, have it in the back of your mind
that people are still dealing with us and it's a
really bad situation.
Speaker 3 (11:21):
I'm curious.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
The Monday after the storm, I got a call and
I would like, I would die if she was listening
to our show right now. She called me and we
were talking about fears or something like that. Oh, because
of that snake in or Linger, you remember that story.
I was like, what's your biggest fear? And she called
she said, my biggest fear now is hurricanes because she
was in Florida and was like stuck on a parking
(11:44):
garage during it. So here's what I want to do now,
if there's anyone I'm just curious to see if there
are other stories out there from Cincy. That one was
obviously from Boston five one three seven, four nine, one
oh seven one. And you know what, when you get
home tonight, you need to go into your closet. Yes,
look at those white booties and pay tribute to them.
(12:06):
Good morning, you're waking up with TIF in the morning
on Kiss one oh seven. Well, we're still commercial free,
but we're in the midst of talking survivalists. Not that
we have any mountains here in Cincinnati. But if you
had to hike down from a bachelorette party in the
midst of hurricane damage, what type of person would you be?
If you're just kind of walking into the story. It's
gone viral now, but it's actually out of Boston. And
(12:26):
so I heard about this yesterday and I sent the
story to Sarah, who you've heard of my show a
bunch that morning.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
So what would you like? Well, this is crazy. This
girl went on a bachelorette party to Ashville.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Eleven girls stranded in the mountains, no food, no water,
white booties.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Schi Letto pumps in the club and they had to
it was devastated to.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Hike three hours with one bottle of water in a
box of macaroni to get down the mountain. And so
Sarah and I, while the music was playing, we were
just like, dude, what would you do? First of all,
this is so Sarah. Sarah was like, oh my god,
how would I carry all my stuff down the mountain, Sarah,
you would abandon the white booty.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
I couldn't.
Speaker 8 (13:13):
I could not just leave my stuff, so I would
be struggling to get down with probably my three suitcases.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Oh my god.
Speaker 8 (13:21):
We gave booties and makeup and clothing and party accessories
and alcohol, like say, of everything, and the swan.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Float, the swan float for the bull. We laugh, you laugh,
We're giggling.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
So true.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
What do you take with you? What do you leave behind?
I mean, hiking down is really hard.
Speaker 8 (13:43):
I did Camelback Mountain in Arizona over the springtime, yep,
and you basically have to like crab walk your way
down when it's like real rocky, yeah, and real steep.
So I don't know what kind of conditions that they
were dealing with, but hiking down is really hard.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
We giggle about it just because, honestly, the picturing the
two of us are at the top of the mountain,
like what you're doing right now, right, what you're doing? Uh,
thinking about what you would do? But it was really
it's devastating. There's still tons of devastation in Ashville. You
and I could not be more different.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Oh wait, every way, so many ways I can.
Speaker 8 (14:19):
It's so funny that we're friends, like in the men
that were interested, how we dress like our everyday sort
of like living life styles.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
It's just very funny. I bet you get up a
full hour earlier than I need to put makeup on.
You know what, I have a meeting today, so like
I had to try extra hard. Yeah, look good thoughout, well,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
But I'm just picturing us at the top of this
mountain and you you packing your stilettos and me strapping,
strapping everyone to my back, getting ready to go hike
to find the nearest toes for us to have water.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yep, and you're probably yelling at me like Sarah.
Speaker 8 (14:55):
Leave it behind, leave the white place.
Speaker 9 (14:59):
You count me.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Lynn. You need to know she's got you. It's three
things with Ti.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
We're just before eight o'clock. And if you haven't seen
the red social media yet today you can go down
to Great American Ballpark and there's a poster honoring Pete
Rose and you can put your name on it.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
You can sign him.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
You know, in the last couple of days or so,
I've seen so many sizzle reels and videos and old
footage and first of all. I love US history, but
I also love sports US history, and when they're combined together,
I just think it's so cool. So if you didn't
know this, when Pete Rose broke the record for hits
(15:45):
with his four and ninety second career hit, President Ronald
Reagan called him on the field.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Here it is. It's a little bit long, and obviously
the quality is a little old. But listen, he as
a president of.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
The United States calling for the White House. Mister Ladle Reagan.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Hello, hello et Rose, Johnny how cool?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Yes, sir, thank's Ronald Reagan. I give I thought. Well, listen,
I just wanted to take congratulations.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
For breaking one of the most enduring.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Records in fourth history TI Cops career.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Hit record of four thou ninety one.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
And now let you've done something just I've heard the latest.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
You've made it four ninety three. So cool. Oh, I
love it, so cool.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
I have no word on when the services are going
to be for Pete Rose, but you know I'll have
it for you when I do. Second and three things
you need to know this morning, Matthew Perry's doctor.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Is pleading guilty.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Actually, if you didn't know this, doctor Mark Schavis was
charged with conspiraous conspiring to distribute the surgical anesthetic ketamine.
Ketamine is what ended up killing or playing a role
at least in Matthew Perry's death.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
And one of the doctors is coming forward and pleading guilty.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
He'll have to surrender his medical license, and there's no
word on when that will happen. Finally, in three things
you need to know this morning, Oh my God, get
ready if you like the Netflix series, nobody wants this.
The idea of a second season is being floated around already,
(17:35):
which is good. I like that we're moving the ball
forward on this, they said quote. I think if there's
a season two, I would want to just kind of
pick up where we'd leave off and continue to take
it slow. I want my show to be on air
as long as possible.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
I like this.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
I think that the series was so good it definitely
left room to have a second one come out. And
I just hope that they, my God, please move faster
than Euphoria, like and any other show. Just move faster
than any of the other Stranger Things is another one.
Please don't make us wait until twenty twenty seven. That
is three things you need to know for the third
(18:12):
of October. Coming up at eight twenty Julie. Ask Julie
on the Job answers your career questions. So if you're, oh,
like I don't really know if I want to go
to college. I'm kind of torn on what I want
to do with my life. She's got one big tip
that I think might put your mind at ease about college.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
We'll get to that.
Speaker 7 (18:32):
Next.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Best way to keep listening is on iHeartRadio. When you
start to kiss one oh seven one, Good.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Morning, cause you're waking up fifth in the morning.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
H kiss one one, Hi, good morning. Ask Julie on
the Jobs.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
She's our show's career mentor you know, if you've listened before,
she's helped me navigate my show in our career here
at I heard, and so she answers your questions, stuff
that's come up on TikTok, stuff that's come up through
our DMS, talkbacks, all sorts of ways to get in touch.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Hi Julie, hellou.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
First of all, shout out to all of our nurses
and you know, people who work in the trades, electricians, plumbers,
everyone that you know doesn't follow the typical nine to
five schedule. People want to go back to the trades. Julie,
did you feel like they ever really went away or No, it.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Went didn't go away.
Speaker 10 (19:22):
But what happened was we have such an emphasis on
a four year degree as being the only way to
have success and happiness. Yeah, that the trades got left
behind and got looked at as a second option and
I think that's a shame and we're suffering.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
For it right now.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Okay, So I figured you'd be perfect for this question. Then, Hi, Julie,
all my friends are looking into college. I always thought
I would go to a four year school and have
that typical college experience, but I find myself not knowing
what to do with my life. My dad's an electrician,
and I always told myself I never wanted to be
like my dad. No judgment, but I kind of am
(19:57):
torn because I wanted the college experience, but I'm scared
of debt and I can see the benefits of being
an electrician.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Can you help me work through this thoughts?
Speaker 10 (20:09):
So if you are, yeah, if you are thinking about this,
you are not alone.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
And this is what I love about this.
Speaker 10 (20:16):
Half of gen Z and almost half a millennials are
considering getting into a trade. Profession. And the thing about
trade professions are does not require a four year degree.
And what I love about it is it's a great
way to get have stability. Trade trades jobs cannot be
outsourced and cannot be typically done by AI and good
(20:40):
one right, yeah, and you can get into it right away.
And what people are struggling with right now, and what
this this listener is struggling with is, yeah, well, if
I go and get a four year degree, what am
I going to do when.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
I get out?
Speaker 10 (20:53):
And there's no like, it's not a direct path. And
I hear that now with gen Z who is graduated
from college, Like, I don't know what I want to
do if you go study to be an electrician, a plumber,
be in the hvac world, be anything that a trade
school does, auto repair, any of those things. They're so sophisticated.
Now you know exactly what you're going to be doing
(21:16):
when you get out. There's a direct line from your
education to a job, and that is very appealing. These
jobs also typically tend to be not only stable, but
give you the opportunity to have work life balance and
resist the urge from those around you to say, oh,
you've got to go to a for year school. No,
(21:37):
you don't. It kind of did used to be that way,
but we're past that.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Yeah, well do it and all that.
Speaker 10 (21:44):
Yeah, so we've moved on, which is a great.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Which is great news. Okay, what would you then recommend
for someone in Sincy?
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Then if they say you're right, Julie, I should just
go and do the trades because I am type A
and this will work for me. You lack the college experience, yes,
or nose around that, just tidbits if you.
Speaker 10 (22:01):
Have so, go check out you have do some research.
Go to Cincinnati State, look at the UC campuses, the
branch campuses, look at all the trade schools that exist
in Cincinnati. Just do a Google search. Get in there,
start reading about all the education programs they offer and
just see which ones appeal which one's appeal to you.
You can start doing that research and see how you
(22:23):
feel about it and see like, does this seem like
something I could be good and then take a few classes.
You know this doesn't you give a forty plus years
to work. You don't have to have it all figured
out today. Just get started.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Guy, Ask Julie on the jobs, use our shows, screwments
or Julian the jobs, of course your social handle if
you want to hit her direct, and you're more than
welcome to hit us every Thursday around this time we
get into it.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
I appreciate you, Julie, thank you.
Speaker 6 (22:47):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
You're waking up in the morning.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Kiss let us good morning.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
We're going to talk about the top five fall activities
that you can do this weekend. And Sincy, I think
second fall is my favorite season here.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Actually I won't.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
The aquarius in me is saying, Tiffany, come on, you
know you love summer, but second fall is a real
close second. It's gorgeous. Or if you're my dad with
his Boston accent, you'd say it's ah, it's so god
just outside, it's godgeous, blue sky, sunshine, it's that crisper
weather in the morning, and then by the afternoon you
still get a little sun on your face.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
You know, it's warm, it's hot. Well, you know what,
at least the weather's turned oh sweat finally about side,
about time.
Speaker 9 (23:36):
Finally.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
A lot of things taste better in the season.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Iced coffee taste better, right, you got all those pumpkin
options so good. Apple cider donuts in Massachusetts a big
thing is pumpkin beer with the cinnamon sugar rim around
the glass.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
I can't find that anywhere. Anyways.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
I'm just rambling off my favorite things for fall. Let
me choose the top five here that came up. Everything
that I'm rambling on about over the next minute or
so are places that I've actually never been to. So
I'm gonna say, if you've gone to what place that
you don't feel like gatekeeping, please let me know because
I'm gonna add these to our lists.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Coming in at number one was blooms and Berry's Farm Market.
I have never been, so of course that'll be on
my list to go. They've got a seven acre corn maze,
a hay ride, a pumpkin patch. I mean, the photos
on the internet look fabulous. Niederman Farm. This is in Westchester,
Liberty Township. It's's open Thursday through Sunday and you can
(24:38):
pick your own pumpkin and then cinnamon sugar donuts. These
are called a cinnamon sugar donut with some sort of
pumpkin iced coffee. Speaks to my soul country pumpkins. This
is in dry Ridge, Kentucky. They're open it looks like
every day up until October thirty. If, by the way,
(24:58):
if you're not taking voice notes on these, this is
gonna get podcasted for you to catch up later on,
like when we get off the air around ten am.
So if you're like I can't write these all down
or take a voice note on them, you can catch
up later. I've got one or two more. Evans Orchard
Cider Mill. This is in Georgetown, Kentucky. Outside of picking
your own pumpkins and such, there's different apple you can
(25:21):
pick your apples. Apple picking is very big in New
England where I'm from. I didn't realize that you could
also steal apple pick here. And then let's get to
one more up in Lebanon. Lebanon Headen Valley Orchards open
Wednesdays through Sunday. This is a fruit farm, though, but
they offer ice cream, all things, apple, cider, dumplings, cobbler, fruiters, donuts.
(25:44):
Speaking to my soul, well, let me add in one
bonus one. The one that I've seen a ton on
social that I've never gone to either is the Sunflower Festival.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
Which I believe is happening this weekend. So there you go.
All the top fall activities for you to get into
coming up.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Two songs from now, we'll dive into the three things
you need to know to get your day started in Cincy,
including the latest with Pete Rose that you can actually
get involved with right now if you want to, as
they pay tribute to him from the Reds.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Well, you know what, at least the weather's turned oh sweat.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with TI.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
Hey, good morning, We're just a few minutes away.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Right around nine oh five is your first chance of
the day to.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Win that thousand dollars. I'm sure it'll come in handy,
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Plus it comes with the free trip to our iHeartRadio
jingle Ball in New York starring Katy Perry, So don't
go far on that one. Hey, let's start off with
FC Cincy. Last night there was a little incident at
the New York Stadium and the Red not the Reds.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
We're gonna get to Pete Rose in a second, but
the club had to release a statement. Apparently there was
some racist comments made by New York fans, and the
statement reads from FC sinse the club strongly condemns this
language and behavior from NYCFC fans and will always stand
behind the support of our players. The club commends the
actions of the players and the officials on the field
(27:13):
for taking swift action. Abuse has absolutely no place on
or off the field in our league or in our communities.
Some of these comments were made towards our captain, Gianno
Accostum standings for the Reds by the way they took
the l against New York. They sit third in the
Eastern Conference standings and they play against Orlando City, who
(27:37):
sit forth at TQL Stadium. Seven thirty. Okay, this Saturday,
second and three things you need to know this morning.
Pete Rose. I'd been playing over the last couple of days, actually,
just various clips from different scissorreels and moments, like in
our last hour, we heard from President Ronald Reagan congratulating
him live on the field for breaking the hit wreck.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
I thought that was really cool. You can go back
and listen to the podcast.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
But right now, the Reds are paying tribute to Pete
with a giant poster outside of GABP that you can
actually go and sign yourself. Marty Brenneman was the first
signature on the poster. There's still no word as to
when when his services are when there's more on that one,
I'll have you, And of course I'm sure they'll continue
to announce new things and new ways to pay tribute
(28:24):
to Pete Rose. And then, lastly, in three things, so
we know that Beyonce in whether you want to call
it a snub or not, she was left off the
CMA ballot for the awards there. However, as we get
ready for the Grammy announcements, there are whispers and rumors
that she might be up for a pretty.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Serious award category.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Also in that Sabrina Carpenter is the front runner for
Best New Artists, and we'll go up against potential contenders
like Chapel Rone, Shabouzi, Bence Boone, Teddy Swims. I think
that Best New Artist category is massive. Sn't it funny
how Sabrina Carpenter's been on the game for quite a
bit of time and she might be up for Best
(29:10):
New Artists. The Grammys take place February second out in LA.
That is three things you need to know for the
third of October. If you can give me just a
few minutes of your time, I have a chance for
you to pick up that cash. Your chance at the
thousand dollars and the free trip to our iHeartRadio jingle
Ball in New York coming up around nine to oh five.
Best way to keep listening so you don't miss that
is on iHeart Radio search Kiss one oh seven one.
Speaker 1 (29:33):

seventy one. Pull right in next to the Joseph Beth
bookstore is first Watch that was voted America's top loved
places to work Number one.
Speaker 3 (30:07):

Speaker 2 (30:08):
Thinking of it right now makes me want to go
and have a nice breakfast. Ooh, like I mimosa and
a pancake sounds really good right now coming in. Oh,
by the way, if you're like, how did how did
that even land on the list? Newsweek is the one
that puts this survey together, and they take in five
main areas. Level of collaboration at the company, how positive
(30:29):
workers are about their future in the company, how much
employer values aligned with employee values, respect at all levels
and career achievement. Okay, first Watch, let's go I'm hungry
right now, and then I'll just ramble off a few others.
None of them exist here, but who knows. If you're
looking for something online. Source Books is a book publisher,
(30:51):
Milo's t company, Beverage Data Bricks, which is global data
and analytics. Coming in at number five is ot E
two E rather home services, and then all the way
down at the bottom is Windom, which is a hotel
and resort.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
So there you go. First Watch came in at number one.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Coming up at nine forty, We're gonna get into the
daily debrief in our seven o'clock hour.
Speaker 9 (31:16):
I have.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Never heard of a bachelorette party story that was this crazy.
Imagine being without food or water. You're sharing a box
of macaroni amongst eleven girls. If you haven't heard this yet,
we're going to debrief it again at nine forty.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
Do not go far.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
