Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're waking up with seth in the morning. So much
to cover on what you're watching right now, right outside
of Bengals Reds in the Olympics. If you had any
time to squeeze something in this weekend, what did you watch?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
You?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Guys know, It's one of my favorite things to talk
about because I feel like it's the biggest universal topic
of conversation. If you don't know what to ask someone,
just ask them what they're watching on TV. It works
every time. That could be an awkward coworker, that could
be you jumped on the zoom meeting too early and
you don't know what.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
To ask them.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
That's uncomfortable first dates. I love that question. So for
the first time since Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, there's
a new power couple out here in the movie world.
If you're like, ooh, test my trivia knowledge, what are
you talking about? Demi Moore was filming Ghost while Bruce
Willis was doing Dieharttum and they dominated the box office

(00:49):
at the same time, and now replacing them is Blake
Lively and Ryan Reynolds. If you weren't able to put
two and two together the year, the third week in
a row now that Wolverine and Deadpool. I said that
backwards Deadpool and Wolverine have dominated the box office at
like fifty four million. Right coming in right behind them
at fifty million, which is a little unexpected. Is Blake

(01:11):
Lively's new one, It Ends with Us. More trivia for you.
This is the third and I'm sorry this is they've
been in three films together, Green Lantern in twenty eleven
IF which came out this year, and I guess Blake
makes an appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine, but I haven't
seen it yet. Guys, I know I'm a little behind
on my movie Sunday. However, what I did get out

(01:33):
to showcase to see this weekend was It Ends with Us,
which is a movie I covered quite a bit in
Three Things You Need to Know last week because it
was getting a lot of press. I had said that
the book was highly recommend it. If you've read it,
you know it's Colleen Hoover's book titled It Ends with Us,
So I knew going into the movie with the baseline
of the story is for those that had never read

(01:55):
the movie, I think it definitely could have been a
tear jerker for them. I kind of already knew what
was coming. You think, though, you know what's every If
the book is really good, should you read the book
before you watch the movie? And I think in this
specific case, the answer is yes. I wouldn't hold back
from going to the theater if you love it like

(02:16):
I do. But I think reading Colleen's book would have
set the premise just a hair better for the story.
The storytelling in the book was just a hair better
than the movie as far as those really intricate details go.
But I thought they did a good job. Thought the
acting was incredible, and I thought they did a tasteful

(02:38):
job of displaying some of the incidents that happened inside
the book. Those that have read it or watched it
know what I'm talking about. I don't necessarily want to
give any spoilers away, but if that is maybe a
trigger point for you, I thought they did that very tastefully.
Here she is on CBS Mornings if you want to
hear her chit chat about it.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
She experienced the whole thing with me. So when it
came time to to put the song in the movie,
it was actually Sony that put it in the trailer,
and we worked really closely on the trailer and went
back and forth and back and forth, and we were
so proud of the trailer before we released it, and
we hope people liked it and it was a big success,
which was great.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
That was one thing I failed to mention that she
was talking about. Taylor Swift has the main single in
the song, which tracks for them because they're besties, and
I feel like the song is just great on that.
The other thing that I watched at home, and you
hear me often recommend Apple TV because I think they
put out the best, highest quality worth of production and storytelling.
The Incident came out and it's got Matt Damon and

(03:32):
Casey Affleck. The story is based entirely in Boston, which
if you know my roots, you know I loved it
because of that. But the outside of it, the story
was hilarious. It had a very limited run in theaters
for like one or two nights, but it's available on
Apple TV and they just do a great job. The
accents are great, the storyline's great. They're criminals, but it's

(03:53):
one of those things where everything wrong they do ends
up working out right for them. So I highly recommend
those things. You know, the best thing you can do
for someone is share what it is that you're watching
on TV. So if you want to leave me at talkback,
I'd love to hear from you. If you search kiss
on the iHeartRadio app, you'll see the microphone next to
the play button. You've got thirty seconds to tell me
what's the biggest thing you're watching right now.
