Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up fifth in the morning time. Oh my god, Hello,
is this thing on? I'm back.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
We're gonna talk about things that have been stolen from
you while you've been traveling.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hopefully nothing.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
I do not wish that upon anyone, but there was
some stuff stolen from the trip I was just on.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
We'll get to that in a second.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Obviously, the biggest story here in Cincinnati and the rest
of the United States of America is that we have
a new president.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
If you are just waking up.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
This morning and turning on the radio for the first
time getting your act together, former President Donald Trump has
been reelected. We're gonna save that and table it until
we get to three things later on in the show,
around seven to fifty this morning.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Okay, So I've.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Been off for about a week or so, and the
second half of my trip I traveled to the Dominican
Republic for someone in my radio world. A family has uh,
someone in my radio fam He got married in the
dr This is actually bad. Hello, Sorry, I haven't used
my voice in a couple of days. It was back
my friend from Boston, my radio friend from Boston. He

(01:05):
got married and brought one hundred people to the Dominican Republic.
If you've gone to a destination wedding, feel like it
typically tops out at like forty people.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
There's a hundred people here.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
First night I arrived on Halloween, by the way, Yeah,
people bring costumes, and they brought them. There were people
not necessarily trick or treating, but people dressed up for
Halloween and the Dominican at the resort that we were
at the next morning, I think, if I'm looking back
on the timeline, correctly woken up and heard the rumblings,
you know what people like were It's like telephone when
you go to a trip, on a trip with one

(01:37):
hundred people, you know, the whispers start happening.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
What happened here? What happened here?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Apparently one room had their MacBook laptop stolen, which.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Is like, that's a lot of money. That's a lot
of money.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Some guy in the party had brought his laptop for
whoever knows whatever reason, right that was stolen.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Out of his room.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Second room, and this is the one that really really
got me was Grandma, Grandma to the bride, was asleep,
fast asleep in her room. Woke up the next morning
found that her cell phone was missing and her seapap machine.

(02:23):
I was like, what do you mean they stole the
seapaps straight off of grandma's face.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
What the hell? These people are savages.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Because there's no way someone's seatpap machine.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
I laughed to keep him grining, But I how did
that happen?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
I felt so bad for her, though, because you wake
up and then you know she I don't think she
woke up in the middle of the night to someone
like lurking around in her bedroom at this all inclusive resort,
which is supposed to have security.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
If it had to have been someone in the resort
and someone that worked there, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
But that was not the only case of stolen merchandise.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
In fact, two days later at the wedding, and by
the way, the groom was dealing with this up until
almost the moment of his wedding, and they tried to
be like and were they tried. I think he was like, well,
I'm gonna go to the police. And they were like,
don't go to the police. We'll give you money. This
is the resort, by the way. They're like, we'll give
you three grand in cash. We'll give your grandma three

(03:23):
grand in cash for her phone and whoever's computer, like,
they'll just give you American dollars instead of going to
the police, and he's like, I'm not doing that. Turns
out they ended up signing something and you know, taking
the money because they're in you know, in foreign country
and you don't know the laws there, et cetera, et cetera.
But I felt so bad for the grandma. Later on
in the night at the wedding, something else was stolen too.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I don't want to ramble on for too long.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I'll share that in a few minutes, but I would
like to get your stories first.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Have you ever been traveling?

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I've heard your voice in a couple of days. I
Have you ever been traveling and had something stolen from you?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Five one three one seven one. It's not the sea,
pat Hi, good morning.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
You're waking up with tip in the morning on kiss
one oh seven one. I'm back from a vacation. I
went to the Dominican Republic. If you're just walking into this,
we're in the midst of talking about stuff that's been
stolen from you while you've been traveling.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Hopefully the answer is nothing.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
But the grandma on the trip that I was just
on had her sea pat machine stolen? And I was.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Like, like, off her face, Like, what do you mean?

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Is granny okay?

Speaker 1 (04:30):
And she was definitely shaken up. Obviously.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
You guys remember that voice Sarah Elise from w EBN
got like, who the hell is.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Stills a sea pat machine? Oh that is that's terrifiying. Yeah,
that actually really worries me for her. So I think
that she was just she was in good spirits.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
This is, by the way, the grandmother of the bride
who literally never travels. The woman was definitely in her seventies,
had to have been in her seventies.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
So my co host, kid Chris, he lies on a
seapot machine every single night, and he's like, without it, we.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Die Wait, waitit.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
What I'm confused about is, yeah, was she sleeping and
they just unhooked it and took it off her face?
Because you don't bring the seapot machine and like leave
it on the bedside table.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I've never had to use one, but I know that
you cannot live without one once you are required to
have one nightly. Oh that's so scary for grandma, and
I'm sure to replace it as so expensive.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Her cell phone was also taken, which if you're traveling,
that's like your main that's your main, that's your main thing.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
You know me, i'd have a heart attack. Yeah, well,
I was gonna ask you.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
You've traveled some, but your sisters traveled a bunch, and
she's done a lot of solo trip.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
She has anything even stolen from her while she's traveling.
Knock on wood. You know what I don't.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I don't think so. I feel like we've all had
you know, if we left money out or something like that,
like that's been taken away, you know, if you had
a buck or two. I don't think so. I'm really
thinking over here, luckily, knock on wood again, that has
not happened.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
We'll get this too.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
And I'm not saying the resort name because I had
a great time overall. Yeah, it was just so bizarre
that all these things were stolen. The seapap, the phone
from grandma. Someone's MacBook was stolen from their room. I
don't know if these people had ground floor rooms or not,
which would make me think that this is probably something
staff related. I feel like, fast we're here, fast forward

(06:23):
to the wedding.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
I wanted to tell you guys the story too, that there's.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Someone had brought a bag and when you go to
a wedding, I never no matter where I am, i
never have eyes on my belongings because I'm just a
feral cat out on the dance floor. Someone's bag was
taken from the wedding that had their phones in it
and everything in them, and the person that was stolen
didn't want to make a big deal because the groom
had been dealing with this for like days leading.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Up to it.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
By the way, if you're wondering how this all ended,
the first part of the story, the resort just gave
them a bunch of cash and was like, don't go
to the police.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Wow, Which it leads leads me to believe that this
happens quite a bit.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
And by the way, we're taking your stories too, if
you want to chat about it. So anyways, back to
the wedding, the guy is like, hey, I don't want
to make a.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Big deal out of this, et cetera.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Something was stolen, So they take all the employees of
the wedding and line them up outside. I'm I must
have been sixty five bottles of champagne deep at this point,
so I don't remember this happening.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
And he's like, hey, I have an air tag in
this bag.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
It says that this bag is in this in this resort,
Like where is it? Miraculously, the security is like is
this It shows them a picture.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
It was at the quote front desk. How would I
have gotten there? Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Somebody's guilty conscious got to him.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
They knew they were gonna get caught.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
I'm sorry, girl, this sounds like a very sketchy resort
handing over the cash.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I don't want to give the dr a bad rap, though,
Like I think that this happens quite a bit, and
that's why I want to know five one three seven
four nine one oh seven one Have you ever had
your pat machine stolen from you?

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Off your face while drivel?

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Yeah,
