Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with Fifth.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
In the Morning, Good Money, back Baby Tiff in the Morning,
returning full force after a week long solo trip to Ireland,
and let me tell you, I'm coming back a Galway girl.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Go.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
You know, if you happen to be walking into Tiff
in the Morning for like the very first time and
you and I are not connected on social media, I
went on a solo trip to Dublin, and I talk
a lot about doing stuff on social media and on
the show solo, so this was a really big moment
for me. If you're a visual person, I've started putting
(00:56):
stuff up at the Tiff to F's Potter like the Wizard.
If you want to tap through my stories at the
same time of listening to this, forgive me. It's probably
gonna feel a hair longer than it normally does. And
I'm going to try to tamper my rambling. But when
I get excited about something, my ADHD brain kind of
takes over.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
So I'm going to do my best to like just
shoot it straight.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
So things that I learned, I can do uncomfortable, hard things,
and I don't think we often do that as adults.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Right, Think, think about your life and when the line,
when's the last time you did something that was.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Like completely new and weird and uncomfortable, right, So that
was a big push for me. And I wanted to
do this so that I could create a blueprint. That's
kind of what I refer to my life as like
everything I do, I'm just creating a blueprint that I
can refer back to when I need to do it
again in the future. I wanted to create a blueprint
on doing something by myself somewhere that was like new
(01:49):
for me, just in case I wanted to do it again.
And I did that, and I'm proud of myself for that.
What was my biggest fear and guess what it came true.
I didn't have cell service, and it was necessarily so
I could like text people and go on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
It was so that I felt safe and could uber.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
And my phone company doesn't offer a data plant, so
I bought an e SIM and I couldn't figure it
out and my phone wasn't connecting to it. In fact,
that was the very first thing that I did when
I landed in Dublin. It was like a really immersive
root awakening. Granted, everyone is so nice and of course
it's English speaking too. I had to sit in the
airport and baggage clean for like thirty minutes and try
and figure.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Out, Holy moly, what am I doing.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
And I kind of remember sitting there being like, Tiff,
this is exactly why you did this trip. So relax,
try not to panic, and just take it one step
at a time. And that's the thing about being uncomfortable.
It is literally one foot in front of the other.
I would not travel again without cell service. I would
(02:49):
change like carriers before I did that again. And it
used to be cool, like you can connect in Dublin.
It was fine, you can connect to Wi Fi and
download offline maps, and I made it work. But because
we're in modern twenty twenty five, no matter what country
you're in, you're using Uber and you.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Have to have Wi Fi to get Uber.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
So I think the universe helped me out a little
bit on some of this stuff. You know, you kind
of have to It's one another thing I learned. You
kind of have to be like, all right, let's just
like take it as it comes. And I think gen
Z tends to and even millennials try to be like
plan every second down to the wire, and with this
stuff you tend to just have to let it go.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Another thing that I learned is four days.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
If you're interested on whether or not you want to
do a solo trip, four days is probably the max.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
I would say three nights, four days is.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Like plenty, And it doesn't always have to be all
or nothing, right. I realize this too, like we tend
to we want to like, if we're gonna do it,
we gotta do it one hundred percent. Even just going
out for a solo dinner buy yourself is something and
maybe you two can work into the future.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
It took me three years to feel.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Comfortable enough going to a country on my own, and
everyone's hard is different.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
That's some too.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
You know, maybe not having cell service in a foreign
country doesn't bother you, but everyone's heart is different. So
trip itself was lovely. We ended up with beautiful weather
for the majority of the time, with the exception of
the day that I land at poured rain. In Dublin,
I did the Daddy Jamison Tour. Let me tell you,
Daddy JMO did not disappoint. I would say it was
probably one of my favorite tours that I went on
(04:22):
in Dublin. Did a lot of walking around the city.
Itself reminded me of really any city center, Like it
was very Boston, actually very Boston. And we went to
a wedding. That was the reason why I was there
outside of solo, so I did a little bit of
solo light.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
In the beginning.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
I was by myself. I went to Carlow and let
me tell you about this wedding. I mean, it was
the most prettiest scenery I have ever seen in my life.
Like that's the thing about Ireland and Scotland. I hear,
it's like your eyeballs, You're like, what am I looking at?
And I drink an espresso martini while petting a horse
(05:00):
on this farm in Carlo.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
It was.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
It was such a time.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
And the thing about that part of Ireland that I
didn't realize is that, like it it's remote, Like we
were calling we were calling a cab number. When's the
last time you dialed like one eight hundred, I need
a cab like and come.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Pick me up. That's how remote.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
It was beautiful scenery and the bride was just stunning.
If you're the Brad and I are good friends here
from Cincinnati and her families went there and put on
such an amazing event with They literally cooked the food
outside in front of us. You know when you do
a wedding here, they make all the food in the
(05:41):
back and they bring it out in that silver tin
and sometimes it's cold and sometimes it's warm. They grilled
the tender lorne in front of me, Espresso Martini, petting
horse grilled, so no horse was not grilled. We spent
a couple of days there. That was a good time,
and then I made my way back to Dublin. I
did a day trip to Galway on my own, which
(06:04):
was a really cool experience to do the city by myself.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Saw the Cliffs of More that was great.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
And then if if you're familiar with the show, Tom
Brady is the guy that I've been dating. His roommate
happened to be in Dublin at the same time I was.
He took me out, we went, we went dancing all night.
I mean, that was that's a story in itself. Maybe
we can table that for a different time, but overall,
(06:29):
so exciting, Happy to be back with you. If you
have any questions, if you're a visual person, you know
at the tiff to F's Potter like the Wizard. It's
always my goal to just inspire maybe one person to
do something that they're uncomfortable with. And I hope that
I was able to do that for maybe just one Cincinnatian.
Would I do a solo trip again, solo light? I
think doing something by yourself and being by yourself is
(06:53):
super important. I don't know if I could see myself
doing a longer trip alone.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
All right, that's the debrief.
Speaker 2 (07:00):

Speaker 2 (09:06):
I can't wait to go see your social media.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
Yeah you got it.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
I'm like trying to rapid fire put up the stories
right now. But thank you so much for listening to
Tiff in the Morning.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Of course, do a solo trip. Have you done a
solo trip? I've not, but man, I haven't done it,
but for sure want to.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
We keep cutting out a little bit there, but yeah,
that's my whole goal. Hopefully I inspire you to do something. Yeah,
all right.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
At the tiff to F's Potter like the Wizard, if
you too want to look. I'm such a visual person.
I need like the.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Girlies need the debrief, we need the visuals. I need
every single detail. So that's why I do it the
way I do. Just in case you happen to be
like me, can we trade each other a couple of
minutes of your time? I know there's a lot going on,
and you're hot and you're sweating, but if you can
sit in your car with the air conditioner a few
minutes longer, we'll dive into the three things you need
to know to get your day started. In Sincy, the
(09:57):
Bengals are one week out, one way. How from this
one thing?
Speaker 1 (10:02):
What is it? We'll get to it next
