Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning. Well, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's Women's History Month. Kiss one oh seven one has
been highlighting female entrepreneurs throughout the tri State all month long,
recommended by you and nominated by your peers. You too
can nominate a girlfriend or yourself on our social at
Kiss one oh seven or at the Tiff to F's
Potter like the Wizard, just shoot me a message today.
I'm excited to reintroduce you to a close friend of

(00:25):
the show, Michelle of Omega Beauty Sincey that has taken
this tiny, little Pendleton beauty salon and turned it into
a massive company in Cincinnati. And you've really changed the
landscape and brought in something brand new that had never
existed in Cincinnati until you brought it here.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
And that is the head spot, the Japanese head.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
You're the Japanese Headspotlet you just give everyone a quick
insight because I've walked into Amega a million times. But
out of your mouth, what is your business? The Japanese
headspat is just a part of our business.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
We do a lot of different beauty treatments, aesthetic treatments,
permanent makeup, but the Japanese HEADSPA is kind of our
specialty now what we're known for. It is a really
awesome deep scalp treatment where you come in, we use water,
different aromas, deep scalp massage, the Halo waterfall, which is
everyone's favorite.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
You see it when you're scrolling.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Oh yeah, and you have either sixty to ninety minutes
of just pure bliss and relaxation.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
And our clients just love it, both men and women.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Yeah, both ladies, women, hair, no hair doesn't matter if
you're like, will you please brush my hair or braid
my hair?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Like this is we definitely need to check it out.
Everyone's favorite part.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
So the Japanese headspot portion really took off in the
last year or so. You can interpret this question however
you want. But from the moment that you started thinking
about this business to really putting it together, how long
what was that timeframe?

Speaker 3 (01:56):
So I had known about the Japanese headspot for like
a year or two, just kind of knew about other
people doing it ever seas, and I would say I
put about a couple months of research into it. The
hardest part was really like finding a supplier, getting the
right equipment, designing the protocols, getting the correct products for
the service. So that part, like the research and development

(02:17):
on it, took it a few months, sure, but I
think like rolling it out, I think timing is everything
when you're doing something like this, and when you see
a trend and you know it's going to be big,
you really just need to.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Kind of go for it. Oh my god, to just
trust that little in it but actually instinct. That's a
good question to transition to.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
If there is a woman listening right now, that's like,
I also have a killer idea and I'm just hung
up on blank, Like what a type of advice where
you give to a woman that wants to start a
business that's listening right now.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
To take that leap. No idea is a bad idea.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
So I would say, like, if you have a concept
or something, write it down and just kind of go
for it, just you know, plan it out, and I
would I will also say that having the right people
surrounding yourself with the right people really does make a difference.
It's nice to have someone that you can talk to
about like your ideas, and you know, because we think

(03:11):
we might know what's best, but they might have another
idea that can really help you.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Further along.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
So, and is there something through the thick and thin
of Omega Beauty Sincy right, because this has had many
iterations of growth in the last five, six, seven years.
Is there been anything that you've learned that's been super
valuable that you think might help someone else listening right
now to in the business world.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Yeah, I would say, like, just treat people the way
you want to be treated at the end of the day. Like,
we're in a service industry. I work with a lot
of women. We have a lot of clients coming in
and there's nothing more rewarding than to see someone just
have a really good experience, someone to hug you at
the end of your service and like you being able

(03:56):
to change someone's day, make an impact for them. So
I mean just really like kindness, I would say, is
the biggest thing for me.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Just being kind. Lastly, what do.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
You think it means to have female owned businesses in
the Tri State?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I think female owned businesses is huge.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
I think we have a nice support system here and
being able to like talk to other female owned businesses
and just kind of like working together and like we're
going through it. I mean it's hard out there. So
I think just having that community is really really important.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Since he's great for that. Oh they are that, since
he is great for connections in community. That's why I
started Tips Community Corner. Well, Michelle from Omega Beauty, since
the outside of the Japanese headspot that you see most
likely on your feed if you haven't, I'm sure your
cell phone's listening to me right now and it's gonna
make it pop up. She also does make up, permanent
makeup skincare. It's the salon that I go to any

(04:57):
time I need anything. And again, thanks for being a
close friend of the show, Miche Well, how do people
find you?
