Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is t J jenaiton j Rod's second Date update
on kJ one three. Hi Daniel from OKC. What up? Hey,
what's up?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
We want to figure out how to get you another
date with Elizabeth, which it is now you told us
she asked you out right score.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah. Well that's why this whole thing is confusing, because
she doesn't answered me in a whole week.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Okay, now you're on the second date update. Any idea why.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
That's a little embarrassing to say. But I think maybe,
and she didn't say this, but maybe she might believe
that I'm not very smart?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Why is that? What?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
It was like a really long day and I made
a stupid mistake and I locked myself out of my house. Okay,
and that was the night I was supposed to meet
Elizabeth to dinner.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Okay, okay, so you so, so, at least for that
particular day, you weren't using your brain?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, or Max Steat was definitely a brain. Yeah, you know,
I'm usually I'm smarter than that usually, But I mean
I was all plusted and late for the date.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Okay, all right, so so do you so you think
you know you're late? You tell her the story she's like, well,
this guy doesn't have it together.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
I'm not gonna go out with him again.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Okay, all right, I can't get this stuff. So here's
what's gonna happen. You know you've heard the second date update.
We'll get Elizabeth on the phone and she'll be like, yep,
that's it, thanks for calling. Or maybe it's something else.
We'll find out when we talked to her coming up.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Okay, all right, because.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
My gut says she's gonna say yep, that's all of that.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
We'll talk to her.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Next Second date update kJ went ole three, TJ Janet,
Jay Rodd in the morning. It's TJ Jannet and Jay
Rod's second date update on kJ one O three. Elizabeth
is on the second date update. Thank you for coming on, Elizabeth.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Yes, oh my goodness.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
You know, like I I hate to even have to
bring this up because like I'm like a loss of
a traction person and just like talking about it.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I don't want this energy to come back to me again.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
But so let's get through this, okay. I didn't like
that his mom showed up for the date.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
His mom showed up for the date.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
We're having dinner and his mom shows up, she sat down,
she ate some chips and sausa.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
What okay?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
And you're like, well, what is this?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yeah, I didn't sign.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Up to I mean from when we heard you asked
him out, but you didn't ask out Daniel and his mom.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Correct, And it was a lot. It was a lot
for the first date with a guy that I barely know.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
You know, Okay, okay, Daniel, come in here. Did your
mom show up for this date and sit down and
eat chips and sauce and hang out? Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Well it's not like that, though. I mean, hi, Elizabeth,
and with guys. She had a spare key to my
house and she brought me my key.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Your mom had that extra key and brought it. Oh,
and showed up and brought you the key.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I was going to get hard.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah, and sat at our table for twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
And not only that, it was practically interviewing me.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I apologized for that already. I didn't invite her in.
You know, I can't control my mom. I told her
call me when she arrived, and I don't know. She
was just inside, right.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
And then she Oh, and I've heard so much about you.
I'm so excited to meet you.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
No, No, that's just my mom being embarrassing. All she
knew about you was that I had a date and
I needed her to bring.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
You my key and stay for twenty minutes.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Did you want me to kick her out? Like, Ma,
you're being rude, go on, get ye get.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I don't know. I mean, you know, maybe that would
have been a good idea.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I mean, especially since she was asking me all these
personal questions and.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
You just you just let it happened.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I really don't know what you want me to do
about that. I mean, I needed my house key, my
mom brought it. I love my mom, but she stayed
a little too long. I mean, like most mothers, she's embarrassing.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Sue me, you know, Okay, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Okay, So that's
your deal breaker that his mom, who needed to bring
him his house key, stayed for a few minutes, had
some conversation with you.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
You're making really light of this. I get it.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
You're being neutral about it. You're not trying to be
on anybody's side. But yeah, I mean, this guy locked
himself out of his house, he showed up late.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Then his mother shows up and hangs out with us,
and like you pointed out, and ate my chips.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Okay, there's chip, so that's it.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
You would have just dropped off the key. That's fine,
no big deal. We keep moving on. But the inquisite
twenty minutes wile eating my chips and him not playing,
you know it's time to go.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
I didn't know you were a mom hater.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Oh okay, Elizabeth, thanks for coming on the second date update.
We appreciate your time.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
You're welcome.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Okay, ye listen. I love my mom, but you love
your chip. And I also love other people's mom. And
if a girl's mom showed up and was like wanting
you to talk to me for twenty minutes, I'd have
no problem with it. However, I would be embarrassed the
longer my mom sat there.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Yeah, but I don't get what her deal is.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
What are you thinking, Daniel, I don't know what she
has against moms. I mean, my mom could be a
little extra, but most people's moms are sir, and a
lot of people love my mom. You know, she's very personable,
she's fun. I guess it was weird, but like, I
don't know how else I was gonna get home.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
You called her a mom hater?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Okay, all right, okay, all right, Daniel, thanks for coming
on the second date update. Sorry we couldn't help you out,
but hey, you got a mom that loves you and
that's all that matters.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah, all right, all right, all.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Right, and again self professed mama's boy. I'm a mama's boy. Yeah,
because I love my mom that much. I would think
nothing of her showing up on a date. And if
you can't handle that, then you're not going to be
in my mama's family. That's my perspective. But is this,
I mean, is this too much of a mama's boy,
because mama's boy not always a good thing to date

(06:22):
when mom's When mom's showing up on the first date,
how big a party she's going to be of the
rest of it? If you keep going, I don't know what.
Do you think it?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Too much?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Not enough? She's got to get over it.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
I wouldn't want the dude's mom to sit with me
on the first day after just meeting him. That would
be like a meet the mom third type type of thing.
You know, sure for me? Forward here, come on, there's
a limit to being a mama's boy and a definite
mom boy, you know.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Wait, wait, explain that what does that mean?

Speaker 5 (06:52):
There should be a balance like a mama's boy where
the where the son and the son and the mother
have like a real relationship type of way, you know,
the show them I love a mama's boy type way.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Yeah, yeah, that type of thing.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Those men's mothers have came on their date on their
first dates, and those people are considered mama boys where
their mama's attached to their hip and they are spoiled
or either their like the first born or the last born,
you know, that type of thing. But a mother shouldn't
be able to come on a first date unless you
are a true mama's boy attached to the hip. Yeah

(07:27):
you know, wow, and that will be that will leave
problems down the road obviously.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
And I will say, Lauren, you're probably getting the same vibe.
I don't know anything about his family situation, but in
that particular situation, I was kind of here an only child.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Oh wow, And I'm a single child myself and I
have two other step brothers. But me being a single child,
my family has never really like mingled in my dating
relationship type thing like that. So I've never had a
relationship with a parent that would be that close to me,
which if you are cool, great, you have a really
good relationship with your mom. I go for I always

(08:02):
want somebody to have a relationship with their parents. But
if it gets to a point where they're like crossing
a personal boundary with you in your days, then it
should be this, guys, and talk down the road about
because imagine if he was married and they had a honeymoon,
and what if.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
The mom wanted to join? Yeah, why not?

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Right sitting in their bed eating chips and salsa on
their honeymoon. Hey, why you gotta get out of here? Okay,
all right, Lauren, good talk, good talk, Thanks for calling
you
