from OKAC for the second date update.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
How you doing today, Derek.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
I'm great, Thanks for taking my call.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Guys, Yeah, glad to do it. You're a little confused
while you're not getting another day with Liz.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Huh?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
Okay. So Liz, she actually initiated the date, like she
asked me out right and now literally nothing. We met
at a party and like great vibes and we just
hung out all night. And but before she left, though,
she asked for my number, which had never happened before,
(00:37):
so she can text me and go out.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Okay, and and and then she text you and asked
you out.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah. A couple of weeks ago, she texted me at
work and she said, I'm picking you up after work
and we're hanging out. Make the plans nice. I was like, wow, Yeah,
she's very bored, which I had never experienced before. And
I found out that I like that a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
What did you guys? What did you guys end up doing?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
So I made the plants, we went out. It was
a beautiful day, a nice day. So the plan was
to pick up some take out and go to Lake Heffner.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Eat and what's text you and asked you out?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, a couple of weeks ago, she texted me at
work and she said, I'm picking you up after work
and we're hanging out. Make the plans. I was like, wow, Yeah,
she's very bored, which I never experienced before. And I
found out that I like that a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
What did you guys? What did you guys end up doing?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
So? I made the plants, we went out. It was
a beautiful day, a nice day. So the plan was
to pick up some take out and go to Lake
Hefner eat and watched the sunset.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Look at you? Okay, I'm good, right.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, but I guess she didn't like it.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, what did you or what else did you do? Well,
it's usually something I'm.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Literally dumbfounded, like I'm trying to explain it, Like she
was odd. She was like odd on the date, and
unfortunately I haven't heard from her since.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Okay, so I just need.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
To know if the date was lame, like I'd like
to make it. I would love to make it up
to her.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Okay, So you think maybe you just she didn't like
sitting on the grass eating takeout food with the sunset.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, okay, it's TJ, Jannet and Jay Rides. Second date
update pin kJ one O three. So Derek from.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Oka See called us said that this this woman Liz like,
met him, got his number, asked him out, said.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I'm picking you up after work. Let's go do something fun.
He's like, wow, I like a girl that takes control. Yeah.
He set up the date.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
They grabbed some takeouts, sat out at lake after, ate
some food, watch the Sunset.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Sounds like a fun first date.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
But he hasn't heard from Liz since, so maybe she
wasn't in Frass said nope, and we're going to find
out why what happened. We got Liz on the phone
for the second date updates. Liz, why don't you seem
to want to go out with Derek again?
Speaker 4 (03:15):
I told him on the date why I was annoyed
with him. I mean when we picked up the takeout,
he insisted on paying, which is fine, thank you, that's awesome,
but he didn't leave a tip for the takeout guy,
and then he got kind of crappy about it. So
what like he just signed the credit card slip he
was going to get it back and I was like,
were you giving him cash as a tip?
Speaker 3 (03:36):
He says for what?
Speaker 4 (03:37):
And I said for the takeout person? And he was like,
why should I tip them for handing me a bag?
How much would I have to tip somebody for giving
me a bag? And I said, you got a tip
on ten or fifteen percent?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
And that was it.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
He just got he couldn't believe me, couldn't believe it.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
There's too much.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
And you know, if you don't treat servers.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Well, you don't treat any buddy.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Well that's just okay, that's my bottom line.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Okay, let's get Derek Derek in on this conversation.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Like, why am I supposed to give somebody money for
handing me literally just handing me a bag. It's not
like they took my order. It's not like they made
the food they literally, yes, just hand me back.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yes, it is.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
They take your order, they package it up, they make
sure everything's correct. They do a lot.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
They do that at McDonald's two. You know what I mean? Like,
am I supposed to hit them?
Speaker 1 (04:28):
No?
Speaker 3 (04:29):
That's different. No, no, no, explain to me please in detail.
How is it different? You can't, it's exactly the same.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
Did you never wait tables? Were you born privileged?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
What is this?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Wow? Wow?
Speaker 4 (04:43):
You kind of take care of people, Derek. You gotta
be a nice guy if you can't either held them
five bucks for the takeout person.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
So one, I am a nice person. Two I didn't
Well I wasn't born rich or whatever the hell you
said or excuse my language. Three I think then I'm
already a nice person. Right. If anything, you're not a
nice person. So like, if you're insisting that I tip
someone for handing me a bag of food, how about that.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Hive dollars and you slipped out.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
You flipped out to.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Do the right thing.
Speaker 6 (05:16):
It's the right thing, dude.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Okay, So Liz, is there any chance you would like
to go on a date a date with Derek?
Speaker 4 (05:26):
No, I would like Garrett to do remedial training and
go work as a server for six months.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Okay, Well I would like you got.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
To be a good human, Derek. If you're not going
to be a human human and help out people, I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Hum, Hey, how about this next time you go get
some takeout or whatever, and you know you practice what
you preach and just don't tip them or whatever. You
have two bucks? Spot bos. How would you tip them
twenty dollars.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
All the time and over the minimum don't even dollars?
Speaker 3 (05:55):
How do you feel about that?
Speaker 4 (05:56):
When I can help somebody, I should and so I do.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
So.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Know that the word listen. I know that they work hard,
but that's on the restaurant to pay them. Like, if
I want to take some one, I'll go to a
sit down restaurant and tip a server, not a person
handing me a bag.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Restaurant handing you the bag is a server, Derek, Just
be nice, all right.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Not a match made.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
So so we we kind of we kind of figured
out a few minutes ago that this is not gonna
work out. But Liz, thanks for coming on the second
date update.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
We do appreciate you. Okay, and go to your separate corners.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
Yeah, yeah, okay, go do the right thing.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Man.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
I'm going to get some taking and not to.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Really know about.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
That, Derek. I get what you're saying that some people.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
I don't know if I.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Don't know how much you're supposed to tip that takeout
how it is, I always feel weird.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
I might not.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
You're not the dude is gal is handing you a
bag only Okay, period, that's it.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Okay, well, okay, well Derek, sorry we couldn't get you
another date, but thanks for coming on the second date update.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Okay, man, yeah, yeah, yeah, thank you.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
All right. Oh my gosh, the comments are coming in.
Wendy says he dodged a bullet. That's their job.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
We live on tips, and we're not tipping someone handing
us a bag of food.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Okay, all right, all right?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Uh four or five six, one, two seven If you
want to chime in on the second Date update.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Listen, Liz was out of line.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Why number one.
Speaker 6 (07:34):
Everyone has their own opinions. There's definitely a way to
articulate your opinion. I feel like she definitely belittled him
for something that everyone probably feels the same way about.
You tip servers because you're being served.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
But if someone's just handing me.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
A bag at any restaurants, let it be Donald Org
Shutters or Red Lobster.
Speaker 6 (07:54):
If you're just handing me my takeout, why am I
tipping you?
Speaker 1 (07:57):
You know what, I'm the part of the art because
I'm like, hey, those people had to gather the food,
they had to get in the bag, they had to
do the thing.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Maybe you should tip.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
But the minute you say McDonald's, I'm like, well, then
why aren't we tipping when they hand us the bag
at McDonald's?
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Right exactly, Okay.
Speaker 5 (08:12):
We'll start tipping every single cashier at seven eleven a
dollar General, everyone, because they put everything in bags.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
You are so right, you are so right on that. Listen.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
I think people that work hard deserve tips. I don't
want to discourage it or anything, but your rationale makes sense.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
We'll just put it that way. Okay, we answered the phone.
So where's our twenty percent? Yeah? You know what, Yes,
we just.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Put this putting it in the bag, which part of
that hourly wage the company is already paying them?
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Okay, all right, well cool, okay, great, here, if you
could just look at this iPad real quick and tell
us how this phone call was for you, and then
if you want to add a little something on their
way a minute, why did I started twenty two?
Speaker 3 (08:56):
However, we just got a message from William and he says,
go list.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Oh see see listen, listen. If you I do not
want to discourage anybody that tips. There's people that tip
for everything that's great, that's good, and for people that
don't they have their reasons.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Thanks for calling.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Here's a tip.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Don't be little one does tips
Speaker 1 (09:17):
There, all right, all right, back bye,
