Packed house right, two teams that know each other really well.
They split the regular season, tied for first to the
Greater Metro Conference. All these players have known each other,
played a you together, and it's just one.

Here's what I'm thinking it is in this gym already
starting to fill up pretty briskly here. As you mentioned,
these two split the season series and both teams.

So Brookfield Central won at Wawa Toosa West on the
fourteenth of January eighty four, seventy eight, and then Tosa
West beat Brookfield Central at their home court sixty five
to fifty six on February twenty first. Now, in the
meeting against at Tosa West in January, Anthony Ryce had
thirty three points and he is their leader. I mean,

Anthony Ryes is the guy twenty five points, six and
a half rebounds a game. He's a junior, and I'll
tell you he is going to be the guy that Wauwatosa.

West is gonna have to try to stop tonight.

senior and he's a guy that makes big baskets and

right now, and you guys decided to host this game,

You know, I think as athletic directors and currently the
president of our state association, you know, the best thing
that we can do for each other is support each other.
So if we have an opportunity to host a neutral
site game and we know that we can do that
and put on hopefully a good atmosphere for schools, we're

at Wakshad North.

How has this been the year one for you? As
it worked out pretty well?

Yeah, it's been great. You know, we're going through a
transition here. Obviously, we're moving to a new conference. We're
leaving the Classic Eight at the end of this school year.
We transition to a new football conference this year already,
So you know, there's a lot of positives that are
going on here at Walkshaw North and I'm excited to
be a part of it.

I love the building.

I'd like to be One of the best games I've
ever done is Shideline Reporter. The high school football game
of the week was the Walkshaw North walk South gave
their records weren't great, but I'm telling you one of
the best games as far as the attendance. The game
went right down to the wire. People out at the
North Star family. Is that when you're a north Star once,

you're always a north Star.

I believe that.

And people have been coming up to me in the
hallway going, hey man, thanks for being here. I'm like,
you gotta watch that North just watching You don't have
a dog in the fight.

They go, we don't, but we'd love supporting this school.

Yeah. Yeah.

The community has been great, and when you get North
South or a West game, you know the community is
going to come on support our fudent athletes in the community.

and seven, both twelve and four in their conference this season,
it's been absolutely these two have been just back and
forth all season, and it's going.

It is, and you know, talking to both coaches both
are interesting. In the first four minutes, okay, talk to
both of them. They said, look, we've been both of us,
both us playing big games, so not too worried about
the crowd, but just the pace, what kind of pace?
And and last time they played, with three minutes to

go in the game in the first half, excuse me,
three minutes going the first half, Tosa West was up
like it was like.

Nineteen to sixteen, okay.

With three minutes to go, under three minutes ago in
the half, and they went down an eleven ozer runs
And so all of a sudden, Brooks Central is down
fifteen going to the half, and the whole thing changed.
And so talking to coach Wander, he said, look, we
got to do a better job. They go on runs
a lot. We got to make sure that we take
care of the ball when they get out on turnovers.
They're tough to stop. For taking care of the ball,

sharing the ball and hitting shots, I think we'll be okay.
Talking to the coach Tosa West, he said, look, we
need to turn them over because when we get out
of the break we were really good. And he said,
look the last after the last German Town game, he said,
we had to come to Jesus meeting. As you know,
coaches and players only kind of meeting aired out some differences,

aired out some issues, and look, we've been on a
run and we've been playing really well.

And it starts with for us on the defensive shot.

He said, We've really started to play some good defense.
And if you see us, if we're holding Brooks Central
to one shot at top shots, we got pretty good
chance tonight.

with Tosa West has won ten games in a row.
