Speaker 1 (00:00):
Brett, It's Friday. I'm fantastic. It's funny out. It's a
good day.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
And you were able to take it easy yesterday because
the markets were closed, well, at least the American markets.
The US stock market. Yeah, we're closed yesterday. So let's
do a let's do a couple of things this morning.
Let's take a look at Asia and Europe. What we're
expecting this morning by way of reports or any of
that kind of information. The futures if you have them already,

(00:27):
and any other info you have to try and decide
are we going to end up with a good week
this week?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Because it's been all over the.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Place exactly right now. The futures are negative, you know,
not bad. Let's say check those around that. I was
down about sixty, but that's it's pre market. Anything can happen.
But if we look at the overseas market, we look
at the euro, it's been all green. The euro is
up forty, the foot seat is up thirty seven points,

(00:55):
the Dack is up two hundred and almost two hundred
and four points, which point eighty eight of percent. France
is up thirty eight. If we look at the agent market,
he came down eighty five, but Hong Kong's up two
hundred and ninety two. The Shangay is up only three.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I don't know what does that.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
One of the engineers tried to explain it to me
one day as the fact that even when you're using
a landline or a cell phone, it goes through so
many different things, satellite like this, and satellite that before
he gets there. All right, that's see now that sounds
pretty good right now?

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Is that better? Yes, that's much much better.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Don't we love our technology? If I had a landline
with a rotary phone breath you can hear me all,
you can, I know, to talk on each other, it
would work out great.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
I know, I know it used to be.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
And I don't mind diland those. It would take a
little longer.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Used to be so easy, wasn't it? All right? It's
so good? What's so easy? Think before you left off?

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Now I carry around this computer in my hand. I
for a phone, look up everything in my life. It's nice,
but it's crazy at times. But what I wanted to
highlight was we've been through a lot. It's it's you know,
we're getting towards the end of June, getting through the
first half of the year. But the Dow year to
date is only down point eight eight, not even a percent. Yes,

(02:14):
the PI found there's actually up one point six to
nine year to date, and then NAAZAC is up one
point two two. We've had a lot of news tear us.
The war going on with Iran and Israel. You know,
are we gonna He's putting out a two week notice
whether or not we're gonna get involved.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yep, So a lot of.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Stuff coming out. We've seen the barrel of oil going up.
It's seventy five dollars and ninety six cents, pushing our
prices up. Still not out of line too bad, but
three dollars and eighteen cents in Ohio diesels jumped though
to three dollars and sixty five cents. So all that
movement coming around. But if you just look at the numbers,
they're not so bad. But yes they could. But you know,

(02:59):
that's why we just take emotions out of it and
go all right, what's really going on? And we have
companies bringing money back and building more, investing more in
the United States. There's an article on Whirlpools bringing stuff
back and putting more money in Paul Mitchell. Their company
is moving. Oh I'm sorry, that's not over the seasons.
They're moving from California to Dallas to save on taxa. Yeah,

(03:24):
so they're the big migration from California because of taxes.
They're going to Dallas, Texas. Right, so this will help
them save money. You know, if you're a shareholder, that
makes you you know, it helps the company overall. Oh
hell c the investor in the United States, of course.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Absolutely, So with the market closed yesterday, let's talk a
little bit before I let you go about why is
important to because because I can, I'll be doing a
spot a little bit later on Bob. Why is it
important for people who want to get into this all right?
Because now we also had the story the other day
about Social Security h ending up broke a year before

(04:05):
they had originally projected. Why should somebody seek out a
financial advisor financial manager? I don't even know if there's
a difference between the two things. I always figure you
as an advisor because you don't you never tell me
what to do.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
You always give me options mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
And we can lean towards one option or the other.
But yes, I like to look at everything present all
options and that way we can we can make a decision.
But it's a relationship with us. And you know, I
do a lot of planning. I'm a serve by financial planner,
so we look at everything. I talk to clients and
stuff about things that don't even have to do with

(04:47):
the investments, other other financial issues, and so yeah, we
you know, if I can't find out you know, or
I can't answer a question, I find out how we can.
So there's a lot of things out there, and a
lot of us are moving on emotions as we talk
about almost every day bread. I mean, we just went
through a bunch of data, but yet at the end

(05:07):
of the day we're pretty much flat with our indices.
So it's it's to take the noise out and have
someone to talk to, uh, just looking at your financial picture.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
It's really almost like it's a calming effect because if
you watch the news or read the news or just
and you only get to the headlines, and even the
national news doesn't do you bet an in depth report
on the stock market, stocks blah blah blah, and then
that's they're on to the next you know, happy feel

(05:38):
good story.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
So it's it's smart.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
To have somebody who's going to calm you down, who
you can call and say, hey, what's the deal on
this I just heard blah blah blah, and somebody who
can explain it in terms that you'll understand right.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Exactly, just like I mean, look, we read a lot
of headlines traders on ditching the dollar for the euro
and option bets.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, sounds scary, But are.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
They going to come out and say now the certain
they're going back to the dollar and doing that. They're
not going to tell you that they're trying to whip
you up into a friends that.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
To get you to be more nervous.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
But now you've got to read down in these articles
and but you know that's what we talk to our
clients about. We got through the.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Noise, going to be a hot one.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
