Speaker 1 (00:00):
I don't even know why.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
I asked, how are you, mister Wheetrow Bradam fantastic?
Speaker 3 (00:06):
It's Monday.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Of course you back battered again.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
It's nice out.
Speaker 4 (00:09):
It's hot, but it's nice.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Is it too hot for it? Is it too hot
for running?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Do you go out and run in this kind of
weather because people know that you do marathons and triathlons and.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
Things like that.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah. Well, I had a sprint trap on over the
weekend in White House. But we go off early in
the morning, so you're swimming at seven thirty, so it's
not so hot. But it warmed up during the day.
Yesterday it was very warm. It's gonna run. I tried
to get out early, but I went a little later
and it was a little warm yesterday.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah, you gotta stay you gotta stay hydrated, Bud.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yes, you do take your water with you and you know,
no need to push it during this but you can
get out.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah, too hard. That mean it's hot us stocks.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
According to the headline, we we kind of drifted along.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
We have mixed finish, some were up, some were down.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Modest bosses for the whole week, it was just kind
of a blah week. Actually, and now we're going into
July when a lot of these guys are going to
be taking vacation and things slow down anyhow. So give
us a recap of what happened Friday and last week.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah, we still have to get through this. The last
week of or the main trading week of June, the
Dow was up thirty five points.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
The S and P five hundred.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Was negative thirteen points. Now for the week, the S
and P five hundred was down one point zero eight.
Now that's the second week in a row, and the
Nasdaq off ninety eight points, which is a little over
a half percent. For the week, it was down over
over one. Now, I know there's no major news happening
over the week and with the bombings. So now the
(01:41):
talk is where's our gas prices going. They have not
jumped significantly.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Currently. We're sitting at national average threeenty twenty two cents
a gallon.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
In Ohio is at three fteen and that's just up
well actually down from Friday. But they're saying it's just
going up a few penn But our diesel is up
to three sixty seven, so it's taken an increase, but
nothing has jumped significantly. The futures right now are pointing up.
But you're right, it's been relatively nothing major even after
(02:15):
the bombing.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Right, And it's just that there's a lot of scary
stories out there right now. But the price is going
to go up. And read a story I think it
was last night. If I'm not mistaken about the fact
that the streets or horror moves might actually be in
some kind of danger if we Ron decides to shut
them down and there was a story that they.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Already had, I haven't been able to confirm that.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
I haven't seen anything else about it, and that would
actually raise the price if that actually happens.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Yes, and they said that they're going to but it's
going to affect China, they're saying more than us.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Yes, overall, it will push the barrel boil.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Up a little higher. But you're right, it's yes, they've
said it. But when are we going to see the results.
It's not hitting our markets yet out.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, absolutely, all right, Well, we'll keep an eye on that.
So how did that affect to all the other prices
and especially you know last week we also heard from
the FED and they said we're just going to stand
pat for a while. But then I saw one of
the one of the presidents of one of the other
FED branches said, you know what, President Trump is right,
(03:21):
and we need to start cutting these rates. So there's
going to be a little friction there between the between
the heads of the different FED branches.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Yeah you mean you mean to tell me someone that
he was right?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Yeah, imagine that. Yeah, there's there, they're talking.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
There's several of them in there when they had their meetings.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
We'll see about cutting right now. You know, things seem to.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Be going okay.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
I would like them to come down too, but I
you know, we want to be careful here. If we
if we lower them and everyone starts buying a bunch
of stuff or going out buying more houses, that can
push prices up. And that's what they're worried about.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
But looking at some winners last week, I like this
when Kroger rose.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Nine point eight percent. Good to see that, CarMax.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Climbed six point six but good old Smith and Wesson brands.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Lost nineteen point eight. They're having a rough time selling
some of their guns.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Oh maeah.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yeah, So that's been interesting. Other winners we have is
the coin based Global is up four point four to three,
Paramount Global up two point five seven on the losing
in more so it's center down six point eight six
orcle down two point seven. Alphabet was down three point
eight five.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Uh okay, all right, So what are we looking at today?
What are we looking at today? Anything? In particular? Is
there something we need to we're worry about, worry about.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Besides what's really going to happen if I ran.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
You know, you know, shoots back or whatever they're going
to do. Besides closing the straight we're all looking out
for that. But we have the SMP Flash US service
numbers and the menu US Flash manufacturing numbers are coming
out at nine forty five and then.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
At ten o'clock.
Speaker 3 (04:58):

Speaker 1 (05:01):

your work cut out for you. I'll let you do that.
I'm going to finish the show up at.
