Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to our Celsius Energy Lounge presented.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
By a Celsis Energy.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Here as Z one hundred, I'm Crystal dal Sas, a
Grammy nominated, a multi platinum artist whose catalog has a
mass over five billion streams. She just rocked the iconic
Victoria Secret Fashion Show. Her single Bittersweet was one of
the most added songs at pop radio this week. Her
dance pop single Yes Babies Fast approaching the top ten,

(00:26):
and we are ready for her new project MB three.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Wow. What an intro, Hi, Madison Beer, Hi, thanks for
having me. Oh my god, like tearing up at that intro? Wow?
Are those all true things?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
It is? I don't think so. That's crazy. Thank you.
That's really cool. Isn't that crazy? Insane? Because we were
talking sitting here like, who is she talking about? Can't
be me?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Almost a year ago you were on stage at MSG,
which was one of your biggest goals for our ZE
one hundred.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Jingle ball, and thank you for thank you for that. No,
thank you for that. I was like on size stage.
She's like, oh my gosh, she's doing it. We're doing it.
She's doing it. It's happening. It's happening. And you say
that it feels like ten years ago. Yeah, that feels
like a long while ago. It's been a good year,
but it's been a year. I know. It's crazy, you
guys are I'm excited for this jingle ball. I might
come into tend come hang out past age. Well, last

(01:18):
night though the victorious Secret Fascist Show.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
You were the performer oh stop, and we've had Taylor's
oh wait stop it but Madison beer this year and
thank you. The tiktoks were going viral saying that you
were the perfect performer for it.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Thank you. That is literally so kind and so cool
to hear. I really really appreciate it because I was
extremely nervous and petrified and wasn't sure what the response
would be. So it's definitely been really sweet to see
how people are reacting. So, yeah, it's really cool because.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
You said for a long time, sometimes it feels like
the haters are louder than the love Totally. I feel
like for this one, I don't know about that.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I know, And that's what's so cool is that that's
actually feels really true. I don't. Yeah, I'm sure there's
been negative things, but I don't really I haven't seen them.
And I stay away from them, and I've seen a
lot of love and people have been really kind. So
how did you prepare for that? A lot, a lot
went into the preparation. As soon as I found out
I was I was gonna say nominated hello. As soon

(02:15):
as I literally I was nominated to do it was
actually yeah, no, I was nominated and then I was
given the award. I as soon as I was asked
to do it, I just went into full prep mode
and like, what do we want? I mean, we got
to create the outfit with Victoria's Secret, which was so
much fun. I got to wear wings, which was insane.
There was so many things that went into it. Keeping
it a secret was so difficult from my fans, and
they're so amazing and crazy quite frankly, and they knew

(02:37):
I was doing it. They started tweeting like weeks before.
They were like, I've got a weird feeling. I'm like,
you guys have spidy senses. It's crazy. But yeah. We
prepared a lot with the dancers and with charm who's incredible.
She's choreographed everything and she helped me feel ready to
do that and take that on because I was petrified
and I don't really wear heels, and I was wearing
like boot heels and whatever. So yeah, there was a
lot that went into it, and then rehearsing and rehearse

(03:00):
singing and rehearsing those songs because I had never sang
Bittersweet or Yes Baby live, so I was just like,
how do we do this? And hopefully how does it
sound good? And thankfully those broadcasters are able to mix
the vocal really nicely, so they did give me a
great job. It was like, after I got off stage,
I watched it, I was like, oh, you guys, you
guys made me sound great, and so I was very thankful.
But then the faces a lot loved hearing Bitter Sweet.

(03:22):
I know, I was so excited. They weren't sure what
I was gonna perform, so it was cool to surprise
them with all three because I saw a lot of
discourse online the night before where they were like, I
hope she sings make You Mine because that's her biggest song,
but I also hope she does Bittersweet because it's the newest.
But I'm nervous herd to sing for the first time there.
But I'm also wanting her to do Yes Baby, because
it feels so, you know, on theme with the show,

(03:42):
and I was like, how about all three you guys?
So it was fun to surprise them because usually people
only do two I think. So yeah, it was cool
that they let me do three at the time money,
I know, I made a little medley. I was like,
come on, guys, let me get in there. Well, Bitter
singe itself.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I'm gonna want to talk about the record because it's
really unique. It's a heartbreak, but it's like a redemption
hopeful heartbreaks song.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Totally. Yeah, it has like a hopeful feeling to it.
I think, did you work on writing it too? Were
you all, oh yeah that? Oh yeah, girl? So all
my tears are in that song. I didn't know that.
So where were you at, like when you were in
the process of writing it. I was in a really emotional,
heavy place, but I also was getting out of it,
kind of turning a corner a little bit, And that

(04:24):
was what really sparked the inspiration because I was like,
I should be better, but right now I'm bittersweet. But
I didn't want it to just be I'm bittersweet as
in like I'm feeling better and I'm feeling okay about this.
I also wanted it to be like I say, I'm
done crying, but I don't lie like you do, because
I'm like, I am still crying sometimes. I do still
have my moments, and I'm not afraid to admit that.
And I think that that was something that felt super

(04:46):
important lyrically to have in there, because I didn't want
people to I've released listen, I've released enough breakup songs
that are sort of like bye boy, you know whatever.
This didn't feel like what I wanted to do, and
I feel like in my adult life, I'm like, you
know what, let's be honest, because it's not just that
there's not really like especially when you're with someone for
so long. I don't Hey, maybe other people are different,
but I personally am a very emotional person and I

(05:09):
get very attached to people, and there's never really just
a complete slam of the door, a detachment of all
emotional feeling. Like I am an emotional person, I'm a lover.
So it was important for me to have that lyric
in there because I wanted to also show my you know, fans,
just be like, it's okay if you know that your
breakup was you know for the best and you're feeling better,

(05:32):
and it's also okay if you still have your moments
that you're still sad. You know, it doesn't have to
be one beat all the time. So that felt important
to me. And something different is happening with this record.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
You've been putting on music for so long, and it's
been your passion for a long time, but this record
itself just hit like the most added in pop radio.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yeah, like what I don't understand, but I love this
song so much that I'm also like so grateful for
that because I really feel like, you know, radio has
been such a big part of my career and for
so many years. I mean, I remember the first time
you one hundred played any of my music vividly, and
I it was like the best day of my life.
And so yeah, no, for seriously, I mean that. And

(06:10):
so now having it be something that almost has become
like not normal because it's not, but has become part
of it where it's like, oh, you got added up.
I'm like, they're adding me, what do you mean? Or
when I was on the plane and I saw it
on my TV screen and driving home from the airport
and it's on the radio. It's it's something that will
never get over for sure, Like there will never be
a day that I'm just used to that. So yeah,

(06:30):
I'm very thankful for you guys. You definitely like you
changed my life in many many ways. So so thanks
for the support. And also, yes, baby, the video just dropped.
Yes a girl, I know because like jazzer size real. Truthfully,
those fits are so cute too, like those thing. Yes,
the fits were kind of like freaking me out a bit. Honestly,

(06:51):
I was like, after after the video, I was like,
were they giving I wasn't sure, So thank you for
saying that. I appreciate. I love that the it's changed.
The white ones too, those are fun. Those were fun.
Those those were really fun. The ball was like shooting
that video. Those girls forget me. That's not enough of me.
Those girls that were in the video. You have no
idea though, Like you just saw the three minutes of
what we shot that we used, Like you didn't see

(07:13):
the eight hours that they were tumbling and flipping and
they're all like contortionates and acrobats and they learned that
choreography as well in like a week, which again you
don't even see the entire number in the video the
ball choreo. I'm sorry, are you like super women? All
of you? I can't even. We tried to shoot the
next day when we shot the treadmill stuff of me,

(07:35):
we tried to get a shot of me on a ball,
literally just sitting on it and leaning on the mirror.
Couldn't do that, couldn't sit on it and look cute.
And these girls are full splits da da five six
seven eight Google, I'm like, what is going on right now?
There was? Okay, let me just tell you really quickly.
So there's I'm trying to remember who it was. It
was Kiara in the video. She I'm like, every time

(07:58):
I think about this, I'm like, are you you real?
She was doing a solo sort of thing, so we
just wanted to be roll of the girls doing their thing,
and she was on the ball having her moment. She
was tumbling, flipping, being insane. I was like, girl, what
is going on right now? You're incredible? Jaw dropped watching her.
The ball She like rolls over literally like imagine her
whole body is rolling with the ball. I'm like, ow,

(08:20):
she's rolling with the ball. The ball comes out from
under her on accident, I think, and it like rolls.
So she's here, here's like a wall. It rolls to
the wall, and literally, like clockwork, it rolls back to
her and I'm looking at her and I'm like, oh
my god, she's gonna kick it. She's gonna kick it.
And she does this I don't even know how to
describe it, but she's laying on her stomach and she
does this swing around like split kick with her feet,

(08:42):
and it's in the video. It's at the end if
you go look at it and the ball goes flying.
Because I was just like, oh my god. I was like,
oh my god, I'm gonna pass out. It was the
sickest thing I've ever seen. So like, yeah, all of them, though,
were so incredible and so nice to work with, and
I'm hoping maybe some of them will go on toward
me if I end up using dancers, because they were
iconic and I love them. Oh yeah, we had a
great day. No, no, you need to go see this.

(09:03):
It's in the last like thirty seconds of the video.
You will see she's on her stomach and like boom
kicks the ball improv. I was like, hello, queen, someone
call an ambulance for me, I want to get to
MB three dropping seats. How has that been writing that
and working on it? So? What is this baby of
yours going to be? Like? It literally is my baby.

(09:24):
I'm so excited to give birth. I can't wait. No,
it's it's it's really it's really cool. I feel very
proud of it. And I've never felt this obsessed with
an album I've made before, and this like brimming over
the edges to get it out, Like I can't contain
myself anymore. So I'm really excited. I hope people feel
the same way that I do, because it's just, yeah,

(09:44):
it feels like the most me thing I've ever done.
It feels like everything I've done before this has led
me to this moment. Like I'm just very very excited.
So we're like done, Oh, we're done. So I'm signing
Vinyls baby when you're yes, yeah, we're done. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
When you're listening to the album, sometimes to hear albums
and it all kind of makes sense and it's like
a wave. Sometimes you're listening and it goes like this,
what is the pattern of the album that we're gonna get?

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Track list wise, it definitely feels like, well it starts.
It starts with a self sened off yeah, like here
we go, and then we kind of go immediately into
this this this world. You can't see me if you
can't if you're just listening, but I'm kind of like
pumping it up and then we don't really Usually I

(10:29):
do this like up down, like you said, and then
end on a high. This album, I don't want to
say too much, but this album was different. I didn't
really do that. I kind of was just like, let's
just do it feels good and we actually end the
album with an emotional song this time, which which is cool,
but it felt like the most perfect song to end with.
So I'm just I wish I could tell you more
right now, but I will come back when it's out

(10:49):
and we can really spill. But I'm I'm super excited
to say the least. Are we getting all you or
are you inviting some besties to enjoy? You know? And
I hate to like expose this so soon because it
is something that I feel like I want to reveal.
But yeah, no, I don't have anyone currently on the
album with me. It's just me, but I feel like
that's kind of how I like to create an album
and then who knows down the line what might happen.

(11:10):
Someone might love the song and be like can I
get on it? And I might be like absolutely. So
with the release of it, no, there won't not be
any features. Sorry if anyone feels disappointed by that, But
I just wanted it to be me and then I
definitely think at some point though, I would love to
do some remixes or just have, yeah, have people write
a second first and change it up that there you go.

(11:30):
So yeah, it'd be really really cool. It'd be very cool.
So we're hoping a tour is in the works the album.
I'm working on it.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
So if you were going to think of like a
theme the girl is going to dress up for this
tour for the album, Like what are some inspos that
we should be getting, Like what should we do in
the pearl?

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Should we do in dark fit? Like what's the vibe?
So with the fact that I just announced my album
title it is called Locket, you will probably be seeing
a lot of girls wear Lockett's. I hope at the tour.
I really hope, and I'm just yeah, I'm so excited.
I feel like that's gonna be so cool. And I honestly,
when I first wrote the album title I came up
with it, I was picturing all of us having our

(12:08):
community lock. It's like I need to make one. I
need to make one for sure. But yeah, so I'm
super pumped. So I'm thinking hearts, I'm thinking keys, I'm
thinking exactly exactly, you got it. You got it so
so so exciting, and we're we're also wondering if you
want to dive back into your Twitch life, because which

(12:30):
has been so I know you're like one of the
first pioneers. Oh my god, No no I was not,
but thank you, No, I I would do it. I
really have just been so busy, and it's something that
I being live for like four hours is a little
bit scary to me because I started to just get
a little like irritable and tired, especially when I'm losing
in video games. I'm honestly like I'm over it, and

(12:50):
I feel like I don't want to get testy when
I'm live and whatever. I'm trying to like put my
best foot forward. So that was the struggle that I
was having. People were stream sniping me while I was
playing Fortnite and I was just getting very upset. But yeah,
maybe I will. Maybe I will, I don't know, who knows,
We'll see. I'm not opposed to it. I just have
been so busy and when I transparently, when I play
video games at night in my game room, that's my

(13:11):
me time. I'm not trying to be live you know.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Truth is that your decompression or is there something that
you've been watching, any series or movies that you've been into.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
My decompression is a bath I'm a big bath girl.
And then yeah, I like to play Fortnite in video games,
except for it like riles me up, so it's not
really calming me down much. It just makes me like
focus on something else. Cat Skin, Yeah, of course. And
I saw her stream that was so She's so funny.
I love her and I love Jealous type. That song
has been on loop for me. But yeah, I just

(13:41):
I like really rage and I take four Nite very certain.
I'm just kidding. This is I sound insane. I do
love playing video games though, but it does feel like
it's my me time, and like even though it stresses
me out and riles me up, it still feels like
what I like to do at the end of the day.
It just it's because like your brain really isn't thinking
about anything else, which is nice for me because that's
very very rare. You just hit that one of your

(14:01):
favorites is a Dojha Kat's new song, and that's something
really popular is to do like the Mount Rushmore of
like blah blah blah. So let's think of like your
like pop girly ooh Mount Rushmore. Right, Oh my god.
In this current moment, yeah, I feel like anything I
say people are gonna attack me because there's no right
answer for this because I'm always gonna leave someone out
if I only could pick four. But I have to

(14:22):
say I've been listening to Man's Best Friend on Loop
like since it came out Truth Be Told, and I
love it so much, so I'm gonna say Sabrina. Sabrina's
right there. I went to the Tate McCray concert recently,
so Tate is right there. I just was absolutely gagged
at her show. I knew Tate was an amazing performer,
but something about seeing it in person took it to
a whole other level. I was like, girl, are you serious?

(14:44):
Like you need to be arrested. This is insane, She's
She's unbelievable. So, yeah, Tate is Tate's right there. Sports
Car was like that came out last year, Sportscar. I
like this year, Yeah, what year are we in? Literally hello,
one of my favorite songs this year, obsessed with sports
Car Love Tate mcraig. Okay, Tate mcray' is there. This
is gonna get tough. Ariana Grande will always have her
permanent one. So she's there because she's just my queen,

(15:07):
and I've always been just I'm just such a big
fan of hers and my goodness, I can go on
and on and on, and she's inspired so much of
my music and people could hear it. And there were
so many people being like, this is this the drums?
I was like, I love that. I'm not people. I
feel like we're trying to sort of be like it
sounds too much like I'm like, she's my queen. This
is an honor. So I love her. Everyone knows I
love Ariana and yeah, so she will have her permanent

(15:28):
spot on my Mount Rushmore forever. I'm so excited for Wicked,
the new one, freaking out, freaking I sobbed at the
first movie, and I'm sobbing at the trailer and oh
my god, when they sang for Good, I was like,
I'm gonna path away right now. Did you ever see
it on Broadway? I saw it on Broadway when I
was really young, and I don't Yeah, I saw it
on Broaday when I was really really young. I remember

(15:49):
it changed my life. So yeah, no, I'm obsessed this also,
like I know how badly that Ariana wanted this, and
so it feels like that's what's making me really emotional
when I watch it, because I'm like, oh my gosh,
she like really her dream Cynthia. Also, don't get me started.
I can't. I can't even begin to tell you. Have
you ever seen Cynthia's cover of It's more of a
rendition of Alphie I forget. I don't know. I think

(16:12):
she performed it at the Tony where she performed it
at some mo wartow. You need to watch it. Everyone
listening needs to watch it. Look up, Cynthia revo Alfie.
Your life will be changed, trust and believe. Anyway, who
is the fourth hmm? Let me think I'm gonna probably
give this one to Miss Lana del Rey because she
is also just my permanent Lana coded, Yeah, you know,

(16:35):
really I like to hear that. I do hear Lana
My god, wow, No, I literally love her so much.
She she's I've told the story, but like we met
one time and she was so sweet to me and cool,
and I just think she is such an amazing person
and I really look up to her, like musically and
sonically and just performance wise. She's just so herself and
I don't know how to explain it other than that,

(16:57):
and I feel like you can really see that in
another head. For Billie Eilish, she's also just like one
of my permanent queens. Some I live for Billy, so
I had to just I was just thinking of her,
and I'm like, I didn't say Billy, and I literally
you can play any Billie Eilish song like ever made
one second of it, and I will know what the
song is. Like I'm so I know every Billy song
in the back of my hand. I just she I'll
go on and on, best vocal as obsessed. I love

(17:18):
all of them though, And there's so many more heads
that I would put on my mouth orchmore, but those
are the people that just are the most in my
life currently that I'm listening to Obsessed with. Yeah, so
that's that's my answer. That's my answer. What about Halloween?
I mean, it's here and you've had some iconic causa
the carry cosume. Oh do you know how crazy that
was too? By the way, that was on tour, and
that was on stage and literally we I my ass

(17:40):
had sorry, we shouldn't curs. I'm on the radio. My
brain had three Halloween costumes. I was like, okay, three
and one show. So we changed our outfit in between
each set, which I have a minute and a half
to change, Like, am I okay that? I thought that
was appropriate. So I changed into the carry dress and
it's literally just a little like lingerie looking dress. My
makeup artists had a bucket of fake blood and just

(18:00):
was like, all right, close your eyes and just dumped
it on me because we had one minute. We had
one minute, and it honestly like looked really sly, so
good for her. But yeah, the carry costume was fun.
Do I know what I'm being this year? The fact
that Halloween is approaching is very scary to me and frightening.
I got home the other day and my assistant, who
I love so much, there was like pumpkins everywhere and
like skeletons, and I was like, aren't we in July

(18:21):
and she's like, no, girl, it's October. I'm like, oh wow.
So yeah, so she decorated my house, which is really cute.
But I'm probably I'm leaning towards I just wear something
that I find cute. There's a Halloween store in la
that like everyone goes to, and so I just went
in there and I saw a costume that I thought
was Bell but they said it's Daisy from Mario and Luigi.

(18:42):
I might wear it as Belle. I might wear it
as Daisy. It's just a cute little dress. I might
not wear it at all and stay home. I might
also be a fembot from Austin Powers. But I want
to wear like the silver if you know, you know
it's in the first movie, and it's when they first
show the fembots, and that's when they shoot all the guards. No,
but not the fuzzy Bob. See you don't know, I

(19:04):
don't see a silver outfit. It's me teaching the silver outfit.
It's when they first show I think it's when they're
showing Doctor Evil what the fembots are and the fembots
are just standing there and they then out of their
nips and they shoot everybody the the fuzzy The fuzzy
scene is I touch myself as playing Awesome Powers is there?
They spray him with the smoke. Yeah, I'm a big

(19:25):
Awesome Powers fan. So yeah, but yeah, what are you being?
I think I'm gonna be six seven with my husband?
What are you talking about? I'm leaving. It was nice
to see you. Are you being dead serious? What does
that even mean? I think we're just gonna be the
number six to seven because that was like the biggest
I'm mad at you now, I'm mad at you. Come on, ditch,

(19:47):
I don't know. Yes, Oh, thank you, thank you? Hello?
What six seven? Please? No, We're so happy that you
would stop by hung out with us. You've always been
so sweet.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
I've worked with you a handule of times, and every
single time you are just a joy.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
You're a joy. Thank you for saying that right now.
How does it feel to be Madison beer? Oh mg,
that's how it feels. I guess. No, I have no idea.
I'm always in a state of dissociation, so I have
no clue. Who's that? No? Yeah, it feels good. It
feels good today. I'm happy. I'm feeling really happy. I
feel like I'm a good place in my life and

(20:21):
overall with everything, and I feel very sound and peaceful,
and it feels it feels cool. I didn't know what
twenty six would be like, and I'm definitely enjoying enjoying
my linked twenties, I guess, so yeah, I'm really I'm
really happy. I'm in a great place, excited for the future. Likewise,
we're going to be there every step of the way.
We can't wait for MP three. Thank you ste so much,

(20:42):
and we can't wait to see you in it. Thanks,
let's get here already.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Actually yeah, so ghostream it boom on our free heart
