caught a fourteen yard touchdown passed lastweekend for the Zips, and head coach
Joe moorehead says Walker is among themost improved on the Acron football team.

Not the biggest guy, super fast, very elusive. He's got great hands.
But if you were to say,hey, who was the who was
a surprise of fall camp on offense, it was Miles Walker. And quite
frankly, it was Ryan Johnson,you know, elected captain on defense.
And I said to dry and hewas a guy when we first got here,
I wasn't sure it was going towork out for him, you know,
for what we were asking or demandingof the guys. And he's matured,

he's grown, you know and reallytaking a bunch of positive steps as
a student and a person. Anda player. So I'm very proud of
Royan because I wasn't sure way hewas going to go at first, but
to his credit, he bought inand no sooner you select the captain.

The men finished second, with BrianMasai and Timothy Shasanden placing first and
second as individuals. On the women'sside, Megan Hippi led the way for
the Zips, who finished third.Head coach doctor Tim Sykes says the expectations
are high for this season. TheMAC, as we know, is a
really good cross country conference on thewomen's and men's sides, a distance conference,

and so if we can finish inthe top half, that's a big
step in the right direction on thewomen's side, and we're confident, you
know, we have the parts inplace to do that, we have the
mindset to do that, we havethe confidence now and it's just a matter
of staying healthy and continuing our fitnessprogression, and we believe we have a
