Speaker 1 (00:00):
How good? How good? Yeah, very very impressive. The way
they've come into the tournament. You knew that they had
their backs against the wall a little bit, and the
way that they've stepped up in that game, it was
seriously impressive. So you wouldn't have got much sleep. No.
Lewis was awake first inning, so I got to watch
that and then I thought, well, I probably should go
to sleep, and then Grace work up at five thirty.
So I've managed to see most of the game thanks

(00:21):
to my kids in terms of where the performances come from,
because we saw in those practice match against Australia there
was intent. There wasn't there. Yeah. I think they've been
working towards it for a while and it's been hard
probably to see the results and feel like they're going
in the right direction. But you could see little things
that they were doing on the field that you could
tell that that's what they were working on, you know,

(00:41):
in their trainings and things, and I think it's just
slowly starting to come together. And you saw that probably
in the odd stuff, the way they started to move
around the crease a little bit more with the bat
and take on some of the bowlers and put the
pressure back on them. I think, you know, they've clearly
been working really hard on that and it's starting to
sort of pay off. So when they got to the
magic one sixty and that's what they're always aiming for

(01:01):
with the bat right, Yeah, it's probably been a total
that we've been eluding us a little bit of late,
and I know they've talked a lot about, you know,
the number of boundaries we've not been able to get
in the scores that we have been getting in the past.
But that's certainly been their target they've been naming for
and to see that they've got that, you know, tonight
was fantastic and I think just shows that they're on

(01:22):
the right path and it hopefully gives them a lot
of confidence. Yeah. Well they've got Australia next, right, Yeah,
that's going to be a massive game. It certainly doesn't
get any easier. And I think if I've got it right,
it might be in charge as well, So the conditions
will be different and they'll have to adjust not only
to the different opposition, but the conditions as well. I
don't know too much exactly, but I think from my
small understanding is potentially Dubi's got a little bit more

(01:43):
pace in the wicket. Chargea might be a bit slower,
which probably in the past hasn't always suited us, but
hopefully we can adapt really quickly and play good cricket. Still,
the way that they bowled as well was obviously really impressive.
I think, you know, they've got a good balance of
spin and seam. They all sort of seem to step
up and do their different roles, which is great. They're
so pleased because they've had a lot of criticism, I

(02:06):
guess which has been you know, they haven't been performing
as they would have liked. But to see them step
up when it really counts, it's been awesome, well said excellent.
