Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, gang, it's me Michael. You can listen to your
morning show live. Make us a part of your morning
routine or your drive to work companion on great stations
like Talk Radio ninety eight point three and fifteen ten
WLAC in Nashville, Tupelos News and Talk one oh one
point one and ten sixty WKMQ, and how about Talk
six fifty KSTE in Sacramento, California. Love to have you

(00:21):
listen live, but are grateful you're here now for the podcast. Enjoy.
Good morning American. It's Friday, well two three, starting your
morning off right. A new way of talk, a new
way of understanding because we're in this together.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
This is your morning show with Michael O'Dell Jordan.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
You know we don't have many Paul Harvey's left in
twenty twenty five. Do you have any at all? So,
I mean there's only six oh. Just saying Friday's left,
we blinked. It's almost twenty twenty. Good morning. I didn't
welcome to I didn't mean to throw you Jeffrey reference.

(01:04):
I was a little philosophical this morning. Do we really
have any pullar? Your brain seems to be moving as
sluggish as your stream yard video. We take ma leane
real quick eight minutes after the hour. Welcome to Friday, November,
the fourteenth year of by Lower twenty twenty five. What
a fun week it's been. We almost we threatened not
to take our salary this week. We had so much fun. No,
what you threatened is for red and not to take hours.

(01:27):
The reason to be that specifically grabbing pills. What are you, fetterman?
What's going on over there? I gotta take my leane
and get my energy up. Why do you have lean
in like a little prescription bottle? Because I keep all.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Of my meds in the prescription bottle, so I remember
it's compact.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
It fits in my little bag. Somebody at brick House
put together that big beautiful container like a Cobalt blue
and then you just transferred to some old Walgreens. Yeah,
I have to I have to break things down. I
mean I take a lot of heights them like that, Michael,
so no one takes them. Highlights from the week. I
really I got to tell you something. I really enjoyed

(02:02):
that visit with Carol Alt, supermodel known as the face
that whole story of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition they're
coming out with a new documentary, but it would have
been better with pictures so we could have seen the face.
The face still looks good, and I introduced myself as
the gut. But yeah, we've we've had Christie Brinkley. Now
we've had the face Carol Alt. Do we have any

(02:24):
other supermodels we'd like to have Fate bring us Leanne Morgan.
I'd say Kathy Ireland would be on my list. Oh yeah,
and then Leanne of course it's our Spotlight Interview of
the Week. It was great, I mean, just a meteoric
rise to stardom this year with first the movie Love
Act and Love Actually the movie cordially invited she was

(02:46):
not in Love Actually, she steals the show and cordially invited,
then her show Leanne, which was a huge hit on Netflix,
and now the number one stand up special. So we'll
visit with her in our Spotlight Interview of the Week.
Here coming up, I'm going to have to say, I'm
gonna go with Chucky Chicken song as the highlight of

(03:06):
my way. Can we get a little Chucky Chicken song
from the audience. He's some chicken when it goes against
AOC He's gonna take a Lickingucky. That's one of my
listeners right there. And I can't tell you how proud
I am. I'm so proud of him. I found myself
in a lull yesterday. And also.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
It's catchy. It'll give you an ear Chicken. I don't
know if it's a piece of machinery behind him. That's
kind of given the trap beat, but there there is
something behind him. It doesn't sound like a music bed
or a programmed beat, but there is something behind him
giving him that tempo.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Noticed that, Yes, it's kind of like Beach Boys genius
pet sounds. He could have been on the album here's
my favorite may Polo go Away. Well that's the great
Flip Gregory. That's an unfair compared, I said. And Flip,
of course is a polished performer, Yes he is. That
was a breakout hit on the Chucky Chicken song. So

(04:07):
again I highlight that to say, we think you guys
at the star of the show you yesterday. You put
me in such a great mood. And that good mood
held until the back nine of my golf round. It
was a good front nine, it was not a good
back I think I just lost interest. So does Zenati

(04:29):
beat you again? I don't know that he beat me,
but I don't want to say anything. It's a touchy
subject for I think I did so bad in the
back nine. I do think he beat me. But anyway,
all that to say, can't have your morning show without
your voice. If you're listening on the iHeartRadio app, there's
a microphone, because we don't believe in you rotting on
hold anymore. Do you remember when we first started we

(04:49):
gave the eight hundred number. Yes, it would be kind
of fun to have one conversation with a listener. Did
I even save the eight hundred number? I don't think
I even know what it is now. I think no,
it's not disconnected again disconnected. I never thought we would
love to talk back as much as we did, but
it is. It's so much better. You guys, leave your message.
I can go right to you. Give you thirty seconds.

(05:11):
If you go a little bit long, the Oscar orchestra
will kick in. But you have thirty seconds to make
a comment, ask a question, take your place at your
kitchen table on your morning show. Use the talkback button
or email me at Michael d at iHeartMedia dot com.
Scott Jennings, Ladies and Gentlemen on the show next week.
Leeann Morgan our Spotlight interview today, and of course it's Friday.
That means in the third hour Friday with forty seven

(05:35):
Weekend Pick the Clicks. If you haven't seen season one
of land Man, I'm telling you you could binge all weekend.
I have grown convinced now that Billy Bob Thornton could
do anything, including a long wireless commercial that goes nowhere,
and I'm still compelled. I think he's my favorite actor.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
You know, he just really well in land Man cus Well,
there's some cussin, there's cusin.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
He just makes a cigarette look so good that nobody
smokes a cigarette like Billy Bob Thorpe. I thought you'd
have to be at war with bullets flying over your
head to enjoy a cigarette the way Billy Bob does.
Land Man one was a masterpiece. Landman two releases tonight
on Paramount with Billy Bob Thornton. We're gonna make the
premiere of land Man two season two. Rather, they picked

(06:27):
to click for the weekend. We do have good football
both Saturday and Sunday. It's hard not to when you
look at college football and say, well, here are the
best games of the weekend. And they're not all SEC,
and I try not to show any SEC bias, but
they're two out of three for sure. Oh you and Alabama.
That's the number eleven versus the number four. I think

(06:48):
it's the game of the weekend. You got number ten
Texas and number five Georgia. Usually when arch Manning and
of course you know I grew up in New Orleans
from twelve to twenty, I can tell you that for
me anyway, it was a bigger thrill, Like I look
forward to Charlie Woods so much because I think we're

(07:11):
gonna love him even more than Tiger. There's just something
about I can tell you. I grew up loving Archie Manning.
He was now. There were times we had good offense,
we had Chuck Bunci, Tony Galbreth, Henry Chiles, Wes Chandler. Yeah,
we had got out and we had no defense. We
could never put it together till a Super Bowl year.
And Archie was just incredible if you asked me, and

(07:32):
I grew up watching all of them. I enjoyed Peyton
and Eli more because it was Archie's son, and my
love for Archie and now we have arch the grandson.
I think Archie might still be the best of them all,
but it would be hard to win that in the
court of law over Peyton. Over Peyton, there's just want

(07:55):
to see some SEC football.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
I haven't seen it in a couple of weeks Knee
and YouTube or in their little bickering deal and you
know with the paying subscribers, or.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
You can come over to the house. Well I may
have to, you know what I'm finding Don't treat me
the way you treat your wife, though, you gotta be
nice if you come over. Don't start, but I will.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Uh, I'm finding out there are other things to do
besides watching college football.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
That's the scary part about all of this.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
What if people get life is about habits, and what
if people get out of the habit of watching especially
those of us that have lost SEC football, which we've
watched all of our life, and now we're making these
other habits on Saturdays because our football has been taken
away from us.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Well, yeah, that was you know, that was the one
silver lining of COVID, right, We all got back to
looking at each other, talking to each other, being with
our families. I look back, and I as nightmare as
COVID was. What for my kid's education especially, but what
a blessing it was for us as a family. I said,
somebody said to something to me the other day, and
I said, can you imagine being an empty nester with

(09:04):
a wife? He didn't like. First of all, I don't
recommend that anyway you marry. I tell this to my
kids all the time. I tell it to every young
group I ever speak to. There is nobody you spend
all your time worrying about where you're going to go
to college and what you're going to become. You ought
to spend all your time worrying about who you're going
to marry. Because if you marry right, you got life.

(09:25):
Beat you marry wrong, you can't survive a day. But
empty nesting, I mean I'm having a blast. Why, Well,
my wife's my best friend. We're having a ball, we're
having fun. And so that's how it was with our
family with COVID. My brother calls us thick as thieves.
We're a very close family, so it really wasn't traumatic
for us to just be together and we'd go for rise,
we had a ball. But you're right about that, I

(09:48):
tend to be more. I'll golf during college football. Now
we're pretty big ou family, but ou Alabama. There's not
a chance we missed that game. I don't want to
try to sound pious. This family will stop everything, including
talking to each other, for that game and even break
out in the song. And by the way, we won't

(10:11):
be much better when the Bucks play the Bills, because
that's a tough one for me. I love Baker Mayfield,
issue do well. I name my dog after him. But
the Bills, you know how I feel about the Bills.
That's gonna be a tough fun for me. So I'm
looking for a high scoring game that maybe the Bills
squeak out, but Baker, you know, leaves feeling like a stud.
But yeah, I'm bad about Sunday. Everybody's mad at the NFL.

(10:34):
I met a guy, my pharmacist husband, and he just
got sick of paying all this stuff, so he canceled
it and now he doesn't want sports anymore. Yeah, it's
all about happens. I mean, you're dead right about it.
But I'm just trying to give picks to click for
the weekend. I think land Man season two is a
pick to click. I think, oh you Bama and seeing
arch manning against that Georgia defense, that's a pick to click.

(10:57):
Notre name Pittsburgh a little bit of a stretch in
the NFL. The Bucks Bills, I think is the game
of the week, and who is the best in the West.
Seahawks and the Rams will face and who is the
best in the NFC period. I think they're playing each other,
the Lions and the Eagles this weekend. Can I give
some picks to click without everything being over analyzed? Absolutely?
Did I mention Scott Jennings on this show next week?

(11:19):
Did I mention it's Friday with forty seven in the
third hour?

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Well, I've been the listener of yours for a long time,
and I don't remember you having the type of guest
that you're having at this point.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Now, Well, Jeffrey, don't embarrass me like this. I'm a
national show. Now, you guys, you give me no respect.
But I'm actually a big deal in some circum a
local talk show that I know. I'm a big deal. Now, Well, yeah,
I guess I'm loving meeting them. Who's your favorite so far?
I think Roseanne would be up there. Roseanne was a

(11:51):
great interview but I've been such a fan of Leanne Morgan.
That was probably the coolest. I mean, you've had low
Dimond and Phillips. I'm just looking down the list. Your buddy,
Jeff Allen, Dion Warwick, David for crying Out, David Foster
and Dion Warwick were a thrill. Dave Barry, I mean,

(12:13):
who Kim Daily Barry from Madam Secretary? I really wings.
I enjoyed Tim Daly a lot. See, I don't know.
I think you've had Newt Gingrichee wife, Scott Jennings, Scott Scott.
But I mean, where do we put Scott. I mean,
we have been following Scott Jennings for two years and
I got to tell you there's just you know, anybody

(12:34):
can sit and talk to the choir. It's very comfortable.
You PLoP somebody on CNN day after day, night after night.
And there were some looney times that he was there.
I go back to, and this is always sounds like
I'm being critical and I'm not, But there was a
time at the View when Elizabeth Hasselback was on. That's

(12:55):
a tough position to be in. You're out numbered four
or five to one, and at that time with Barbara Walters,
and here you are sitting with all these libs, and
you've got to be the voice for everyone that shares
your worldview and your policy views. And it's hard to
live up to that, and Scott Jennings does every single
night after night after night. I wonder, out of everybody

(13:15):
in the media, that could be a sleeper to win
a high office someday, I think it would be Scott Jennings.
We'll see if he has any aspirations for that. His
podcast is taking off. His position on CNN is terrific.
Some people have even talked about other big moves for him.
Scott Jennings next week Friday with forty seven Today and
your Spotlight interview with lee Ane Morgan is coming up.

(13:36):
Top stories are simple. The FA is keeping the flight
restrictions frozen. I think we're looking at six hundred cancelations today.
We think this can all clear up by Thanksgiving. That's
not going to fix Thanksgiving travel because if you were
going to have good, affordable, quality Thanksgiving travel, you'd have
made your reservations weeks or months ago and there'd be

(13:59):
no flight cantlations heading into the week of your travel.
So I think Thanksgiving is going to be a little
botched up, but I think things will be normal for
Christmas plans. But the FAA is going to keep the
flight restrictions frozen at six percent, and they think about
a week to two weeks to restore all flights and
things back to normal for travel. Secretary of War Pete

(14:20):
Hegseth has announced a new military operation targeting the Narco terrorists. Obviously,
the Venezuelan military mobilizing isn't causing the Trump administration or
the Secretary of War to blink at all. We've had
another major self described democratic socialist win in a major city.

(14:40):
Katie Wilson is the new mayor, the new socialist in
charge of Seattle. As the momentum for socialism taking over
the Democrat Party continues, it's playing in big cities. Well,
let's see how it does when it goes on tour nationally.
And the BBC says it'll apologize to Donald Trump, but
we will not write any Well, we'll talk to a

(15:01):
judge and see. And Thursday night, football, boy, did anybody
think of Big John this morning when you woke up
and looked at the score. Yeah, Oh my gosh. Now
I got to hear him. Notice I don't have to
plug the talkback line for him. I'm telling you I
couldn't make it to the lunch when he was in town,
and I'm sensing passive aggression from Big John fencing. He joked,

(15:24):
He joked yesterday, Well you're Mikey mush if you like
the Patriots big and I did. I thought the Patriot
should beat the Jets at home by thirty. What a
kwinky dinky final score twenty seven to twenty four. That's
a thirteen point victory. Ask me what the spread was?
What was the spread? Fourteen? That's why Big John dump

(15:44):
a gut feeling.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Big Jock dumped the Jets about the fourteen and he wins.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Big Let's see if he falls it.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
This is your Morning Show with Michael del Chuno.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Morning, gentlemen. You're talking about who the great interviews were.
Just wants to remind you that Christie Brinkley interview was
quite good. It was it me to buy her book,
which is very interesting. She had quite the life growing
up and through adulthhood. Never bons about your show.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
I like any book with a lot of pictures, especially
when the pictures of Christy Brinkley She was very very
interesting and very generous and talking about Billy as well.
Why Big John's calling, I'm dreading this. Yeah, here you go,
go Big John.

Speaker 4 (16:33):
So this message goes out to all the listeners, Gabe Roger,
Mary Dallas, Jimmy Suits, get to the point in time
you need a little money. That against Mikey the Mush.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
How does he even know my nickname was Mikey Mush.
I'd like to know that he scares me. By the way.
I got a picture of Jimmy Suits. Some tell you
about it when we come back. It's thirty minutes after
the hour.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
So this is Big John and my morning show is
your Morning Show with Michael B.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Jeffrey and red Book It Hi, It's Michael. Your Morning
show can be heard on great radio stations across the country,
like News Talk ninety two point one and six hundred
WREC in Memphis, Tennessee, or thirteen hundred The Patriot in Tulsa,
our Talk six fifty KSTE in Sacramento, California. We invite

(17:27):
you to listen live while you're getting ready in the
morning and to take us along for the drive to work.
But as we always say, better late than never. Thanks
for joining us for the podcast.

Speaker 6 (17:35):
Sam from Buckeye, Arizona.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
One of my favorites was Valerie Burton Alley.

Speaker 7 (17:41):
Oh maybe it's just me that she qualifies as as
super farld.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
We also had Brook Burns, another game show host, which
was a thrill from me. I remember my brother saying
you've never been my mom first time she was in
the hospital. Some of about hospitals and nursing homes. You watch
the game show Network and she came on. I can't
remember what it was. I think it was the chase
and he goes, you want to see a slick talk
shows And I thought, you know, at first he was
just saying it because she was so attractive, but no,

(18:06):
she was incredible. Brooke Burns, you have Vali Burtonellie. She's
got the new tic tac toe. She took over for
an old friend of mine, Wake Martindale. I remember being
on vacation and interviewing David du coveney even even took
the time on my vacation. That was a thrill for me.
I'm a big David du Coveney fan. You don't forget
Amanda Knox. Amanda Knock was a great interview I'll never

(18:30):
forget my wife came in for that because my wife
was like, is like red, what do you call you people?
You're like into the crime mysteries and crime sluths? Is
that what you call you yourselves? What is it? Climes?
So she was real into that and I wasn't. But
she was in a hotel, you know, because some people

(18:52):
let me see them and some don't. Like Christy Brinkley
was right there, right on cameras. He was beautiful, She
was wonderful, but a man, I gotta tell you, Amanda
might be one of the most pretty people I've ever interviewed.
But she was just so I blew us away. I
wasn't expecting it. Just so deep, so insightful, so eloquent,

(19:13):
so intelligent, and so open transparent. Yeah, she was. That
was a great We have had a lot of good
interviews this week. I'm telling you this year, do you
know what you ought to do when I'm gone Thanksgiving?
What you ought to just do like best of interviews?
Okay from during the year. I can do that. I
don't know if the timing would work out. By the way,
speaking of our listener, we have a new trend now.

(19:34):
Our listeners are sending pictures. Okay, are you ready see
what Jimmy Suits looks like? We need a picture board
like the outdoor shows has I asked Redd, if there's
a way to do that on the website. Would it
be funny? There were more pictures of listeners in US,
But this is Jimmy Suits. Is that what you pictured?
Oh my gosh, that is what I would picture. Isn't
it funny that Jimmy Suits looks more like Red than Woody,

(19:55):
who we thought would look just like Red. I pictured
him in a cap I did with glass yacht. Of course, yes,
feel free to send your pictures. You get to see us.
We'd like to see you and meet you, all right,
if you're just waking up the FA. He's going to
keep the flight restrictions frozen as the government reopens. It's
probably gonna take a week or two for things to
get back to normal. Some six hundred flights canceled today.

(20:15):
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth he's not blinking over the
Venezuelan military mobilizing. He's got new military operations to target
narco terrorists, and the BBC has apologized to Donald Trump.
But they're not coming forward with any money. I think
he may take him to court for that. And Thursday
Night Football Jets covered Patriots now nine and two beat

(20:36):
the Jets only twenty seven to fourteen. We'd like to
do these spotlight interviews because sometimes you early platinum card
listeners didn't get to hear them if they were in
the third hour. And one of those was LeeAnne Morgan.
She's wrapping up a year that was literally meteoric rise
to fame, hit movie, cordially invited, hit sitcom on Netflix,
self named LeeAnne. It is like Roseanne four decades later

(21:00):
her and now she has the number one comedy special.
Leanne Morgan our Spotlight interview of the week.

Speaker 6 (21:06):
Oh Mayor, Oh, I hear your.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Leanne. How are you this?

Speaker 7 (21:14):
Michael Bilgi? I can't even breathe.

Speaker 6 (21:19):
I'm a huge fan.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Oh stop it, you.

Speaker 7 (21:22):
Have got I cannot believe I've never gotten to talk
to you. Thank you for having me.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
You don't Oh, thank you.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Listen, precious, you've gotten quite famous.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
Oil.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
What's that like?

Speaker 7 (21:38):
It's okay, it's okay.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
If I could just keep going to Costco, I'll be okay.
That's it.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
That's all it takes. I mean, you got the hip movie,
then the amazing show. I want to talk about all
of this, and now last night I'm cruising Netflix. You
are the number one show on Netflix, your new stand
up comedy special, Unspeakable Things. It's it's a lot of
success in a one year period of time, and it
could not have happened to a better human being. I'm

(22:05):
so proud of you.

Speaker 7 (22:06):
Oh you angel, honey, thank you.

Speaker 6 (22:12):
Listening to you. I was raised outside of.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Nashville, my darling, that's right, not far at all. And
when the movie Cordially Invited came out, I was just
blown away. And I looked at my wife and I said,
never mind the stand up comedy, this is a super
I mean, you stole the movie from Will, I mean
from Will, from Reese, from everybody. It was just what

(22:39):
was it like to work with Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon.
I mean that cast was spectacular.

Speaker 6 (22:45):
I know, it wasn't that it was crazy and it
was fun. It was like being at summer camp.

Speaker 7 (22:50):
I'm not kidding, and everybody only movie I've ever done,
and everybody kept saying, oh, it'll everybody like this again,
and I go, are there a bunch of main people
in the movies that go Yeah, Yeah and.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
The Yale Engine.

Speaker 7 (23:02):
Everybody was darling. Nick Doehler that directed it is so
swayt and Will Ferrell. Honey walked in a room, didn't
say a thing and we all would buzzed out lamp
and I mean just looking at him, so funny.

Speaker 6 (23:15):
And then little Race Witherspoon.

Speaker 7 (23:16):
Honey is one of the smartest, most beautiful people I've
ever stood next to.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
Yeah, it like looking at Elvis.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
You were terrific, and it was a great, great character,
very well written, and you played it perfectly. In fact,
we have a show that's one hundred eighty markets and
we played that one clip of you. I'm retaining water.
I can't even make a fist. I mean, but I mean,
you had all the classic lines. Of course, there's the
scene with the alligator. But it was just a fabulous

(23:44):
If nobody has seen the movie, cordially invited, never mind
that I'm talking to her, I'm telling you, it was
one of the best your movies I had seen in
the entire year, and that was a year with Wicked.
Don't then your show, Oh my gosh. And and Ryan Stiles,
who plays your ex husband, Bill Kristin Johnson plays your sister,
Tim Daley, who he had on the show not long ago.
He's dying to do another season if if it gets renewed.

(24:07):
I'll get to that. Please your boyfriend. Your show, Leanne,
sensational spectacar.

Speaker 7 (24:14):
Thank you, my darling.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
That means a lot, Honey, coming from me, thank you.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
But what's that one? Doing a show that's tough, turnaround,
that's different than a movie stand around all day? Uh huh?
It was it?

Speaker 6 (24:26):
They really tell me, she goes lanb.

Speaker 7 (24:28):
That's the best schedule in Hollywood.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
But anyway, we decided today they had and it.

Speaker 7 (24:33):
The schedule was wonderful. It was frightened. I was scared
to day. I've never done anything like than. Kristin Johnson
Honey had to coach me and teach.

Speaker 6 (24:42):
Me, so did Tim Daily.

Speaker 7 (24:43):
They would tell me like, olean, this is the camerangle
and this is I didn't know any of that, and
I was pretty intimidated. But then once I would get
in front of a live audience as a stand up,
that would yeah, have that feedback.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
It was brilliant, so much success and if you've never
watched the show on Netflix, Leanne, it is just spectacular.
This is going to sound like I'm really kissing up.
But the kind of chemistry that you and Kristin had
was it reminded me of Lucille Ball with Ethel. I
mean it was just you two play off each other
in such a powerful way. And Tim Daily, is there
a nicer human being on the face of the earth.

(25:18):
Oh my god, I love him.

Speaker 7 (25:20):
No, honey, he is darling. And we made out, did
you for real? I had to kiss well? I mean,
you know, there's several kisses things for me and Tim
Doling and I have not kissed anybody but Chuck Morgan
in thirty four years and I broke out in a sway, but.

Speaker 6 (25:37):
He was gracious and it in a pro.

Speaker 7 (25:41):
Hime out.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Do you and Chuck Morgan still kiss? Seriously? Andrew and
I haven't had a good French kiss, and I don't
know how long.

Speaker 7 (25:48):
Honey, No, we don't, and we want a fault. I
don't know what I'm doing anymore. I'm talking and our
kissing dogs and grand babies in the miles we made
to make out more.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
That's the best question of this entire interview. I mean,
you deserve this success. I mean, we saw your talent
coming a mile away. But Chuck Morgan, now he's a
household name. But Chuck's really intricral because he's kind of
the setup. And then you're the punchline, right, I mean,
you really don't have a routine without him.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
I don't, and I'm telling him, I go, I am.

Speaker 7 (26:21):
Senting you up for a Hollywood career. But everybody knows
Chuck Morgan now, and I think he's getting the big head.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
He never wanted any of this, but he's okay with it.

Speaker 7 (26:31):
And yeah he's and he'll say, I'm not playing to him.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
And I know you.

Speaker 7 (26:37):
Everybody, I guess knows Rugby Dian the yells that.

Speaker 6 (26:40):
The garage door is open. You know about Chuck Morgan.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Without Chuck Morgan, you don't have Unspeakable Things, which is
the title of your new number one watched Netflix stand
up comedy routine. You do, you do talk about something.
I was shocked then some of the things that you
talk about. But you know, really, this whole Unspeakable Things
is as much about Chuck Morgan as grandkids. Now, my
brother has gone crazy. Like my brother, I don't even

(27:08):
recognize this man. Since becoming a grandparent, h grandparenting is
not overrated, is it.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
Oh? It is the most wonderful thing, honey, just a surprise.

Speaker 7 (27:20):
I can't even describe the everybody has to You're just
gonna have to experience it before, you know, like you
just I can't even describe it. How yummy. And these
two babies spent the night with me last night, and
I'm all a big box of dinosaurs off my Amazon.
I mean, I'm just anything they won't. I mean, I'm

(27:42):
just everything.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Is revolved around William.

Speaker 7 (27:45):
All we care about it.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
I love how we say why is it so different
than parenting? Like when you're doing the stand up and
you're talking about how strict you were as a parent,
and then how you spoil the grandkids. Why is it
so different? I mean, my daughters are only twenty one
and they're twins, and I'm not ready for grandchildren yet,
but you guys are making me look forward to it.

Speaker 6 (28:04):
Oh, honey, it's something about.

Speaker 7 (28:06):
You don't have the pressure maybe of you know, you're
not in the day to day of getting up in
the middle of the night and doing all that. Look
when you're a young parent, you know, and how hard
it is. It's wonderful, but it's hard. You just this
is all just love and fun, honey, love and fun
and cups take Grace's cups.

Speaker 6 (28:24):
Oh, we just have a ball.

Speaker 7 (28:26):
You won't believe how many.

Speaker 6 (28:29):
Toy vehicles I have. I don't know why I've gotten
on this toy vehicle. Fine, but I.

Speaker 7 (28:34):
Mean there's a zero turn mower for a three year old, honey.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
I know.

Speaker 7 (28:42):
And I'm getting a big wheel.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
I am getting big wheel.

Speaker 7 (28:45):
But yeah, I mean it's crazy. And they're just so yummy,
and they go Grandmama and just run to you and
they think you're the most wonderful thing in the wall.
I mean, it just yummy.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
You got to be the most fun grandma on the
face of the earth. Leanne Morgan, she stole the show
and cordially invited if you haven't seen that movie, you
need to her show. Leanne is brilliant. I would say,
I don't know if you guys have ever thought about this,
but when Roseanne we just had Roseanne on I think
a month ago or so, when Roseanne came onto the

(29:17):
scene and her portrayal of life in Middle America, the
real look of that, and then your show, I think
they're very similar in that They're brilliantly written with an
amazing cast. Please tell us there's going to be a
season two of Leanne, Yes.

Speaker 7 (29:35):
My darling, Yeah, a second season I know, and I'll
start filming in January. Oh I'm three old.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Don't you have anything precious for? Like a little short
fat italium with the little balt spot in the back.
Maybe if Tim doesn't work out, I can slip in
and be a boyfriend. I can learn how to kiss
again too, you know.

Speaker 7 (29:55):
Yeah, Well, who knows what's going to happen, because he
is my boyfriend and he's gonna have behind and he
has to move or something. Yes, you can be my boyfriend.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
How much are you like that character? How much of
that is you?

Speaker 7 (30:07):
I think a lot of it is made. I know
a lot of it is made. And when I you know,
like in the first scene when he is.

Speaker 6 (30:14):
But my husband of thirty something years has me and yeah,
and I was, I cried.

Speaker 7 (30:22):
I really cried because I thought if Chunck Morgan did
this to me, what a catastrophic event it would be
for my children, for my grandchildren, you know, a life.

Speaker 6 (30:32):
Of Because I am a Christian woman.

Speaker 7 (30:34):
I felt every bit of that. If that had really happened,
it would have been devastating, And so it was easy
for me to find that, you know, that scene, because
you know, I would just.

Speaker 6 (30:46):
Have died if that had happened to me.

Speaker 7 (30:47):
So a lot of that is me, and a lot
of that is like how I would really feel if
I had to go on a beach weekend and put
a babysuit on in front of somebody else besides.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
Chuck Morgan Honney and he's a toll it somewhere.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
Ye. Well, the sweating, the sweating in the car, but
next to that, that was the and that Ryan Styles.
I had never seen him before. I know he's had
a pretty good career, but I mean he is the
most lovable scum back X husband you'll ever meet.

Speaker 7 (31:15):
Yes, is he not wonderful? He plays that wonderful And
I wanted him to be lovable and redeemable.

Speaker 6 (31:23):
I want I want people.

Speaker 7 (31:25):
To know that there's forgiveness, you know, and that you
and that everything is going to be all right. Will
work an eye out and I feel like we did that,
and I'm excited to see what's going to happen the
second things and the writer's room just started, will start
again and do you have any do.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
You have any influence in that you get Can you
be able to throw some ideas or yes? Oh yes,
I just love that whatever happens, you and and Kristen
are going to go through it together. When she used
to have to sleep sleep in the bed with you
at night while you were getting used to It's just
I really thought, is real and raw and unique as
Roseanne is, that's what Leanne is and kind of like

(32:05):
and corsially invited. I was just so blessed to see
you be surrounded by such a great cast as well.
You know, listen, what a what a crazy year? What
could possibly be life like next year? It's amazing to watch.

Speaker 7 (32:19):
I just signed another two Inner City tour deal, so
after I get it through, because I just rapped it
to her, I'll start touring again, which to me, I mean,
I love doing the series. But to me, Stand Up
is my love, you know, And I feel so comfortable
there and I love being with people, and they's darling people.
As soon as I come on stage, honey, start blowing.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
Kisses and.

Speaker 7 (32:43):
And and it's just like being with your best friends.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
It really is. And I hope, I.

Speaker 7 (32:49):
Mean, I don't know, but I might do the Bridge
Stone next year.

Speaker 6 (32:52):
I don't know if that.

Speaker 7 (32:53):
If I'll be big enough today, then I would like to.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
I've you know, I'll pay for my ticket wherever you are.
Just promise me I can. I can give you a
big hug. I would love I'm going to start where
I ended, which is I can't think of a better
person for this to happen to. I'm glad America found you.
If they have not seen Cordially Invited, watch that movie.

(33:17):
I promise you. I think it is literally the best
comedy of the last decade. The show Leanne so excited
to hear of second season. You guys want to have
a binge this weekend. Go watch season one. It is brilliant.
And now the stand up special Unspeakable Things, you'll hear
all about Chuck Morgan and the unspeakable things he's made.
My precious little darling new over the years that I

(33:40):
can't believe you're share that you're looking terrific. I mean,
wealth looks very nice on you. You're looking it's like those
high school pictures again. You're looking hot.

Speaker 7 (33:48):
Oh, thank you, my darling, thank you. Well, you know,
my baby is my micropartist, and she she can be
real heightful, but.

Speaker 6 (34:00):
It's on her nerves.

Speaker 7 (34:02):
Sometimes she rolls her on. Yeah, and she says that
now she's having to be my caregiver and she didn't
sign up with it. But thank you. I feel pretty.
I feel like I'm doing better. I'm not as much
white flow.

Speaker 6 (34:15):
Well you waited, dyke.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
You success came very late in life, but just in
time for us. Leanne Morgan, we love you. Congratulations on
the most remarkable twenty twenty five and we're looking forward
to twenty twenty six together.

Speaker 6 (34:29):
Oh my darling, Well, this is the sweetest thing anybody's
ever said to me.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Thank you, Leanne Morgan, One of a kind.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
It's your Morning Show with Michael del Joano.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Welcome to Friday, November, the fourteenth year of our Lord,
twenty twenty five. Here's what's on the menu. The FAA
is going to keep flight restrictions frozen at six percent.
We have six hundred cancelations today. Yes, the government is
open and things are going to return to normal. They're
thinking one to two weeks, certainly by Christmas, although thanks
skiing is tricky travel by Air Secretary of War Pete

(35:03):
Hegseth has announced new military operations targeting narco terrorists, so
nobody's blinking with the Venezuelan military mobilization. The self described
socialist Katie Wilson has won the mayors race in Seattle,
as the momentum for a socialist Democratic party continues in
big cities. Not sure it's going to play well across

(35:24):
the country in the midterms. And the Patriots improved to
nine to two, beating the Jets last night, but not
covering the spread as Big John predicted twenty seven fourteen.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
We're all in this together. This is your morning show

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
