been my life's work to brighten and enrich the lives
of readers around the globe through the celebration of legendary
Black authors, which is why in twenty fifteen, I started

the Well Read Black Girl book Club. For years, the
Well Read Black Girl community has brought black people together
to hang out, share, and celebrate the uniqueness of black
literature by female them and non binary writers of color.
In twenty seventeen, we held the very first Well Read
Black Girl Festival in Brooklyn, New York, and next year

we're taking this journey one step further. On the Well
Read Black Girl Podcast, I'll dialogue with the most impactful
and interesting writers, thinkers, and makers today. You'll be welcomed
into intimate, in depth conversations that capture the current cultural
