Speaker 1 (00:07):
Ho everyone, I'm David Chadwick and this is News Talk
eleven ten, ninety ninety three WBT. Welcome to the show.
In case you don't know, this is a faith in
values program that tries to intersect faith and values with
what's going on locally and globally. I've been doing this
show now almost twenty six years. It's unbelievable. Thank you
so much for listening on a weekly basis, and thank
you to Perry's Fine Jewelry for your sponsorship of the show.
(00:31):
Without you, I could not do this on a weekly basis.
I'm so grateful to you and your friendship. Well, today
I want to go back to Israel, and the reason
is because I just believe with all of my heart.
If you want to know what's going on biblically regarding
end times and those kind of things, look at the
nation of Israel. This small little strip of land about
(00:52):
the size of the state of New Jersey is the
epicenter biblically of all that's going to go on in
end times and singly today. If you look at this
little strip of land the size of the state of
New Jersey, it's the epicenter of so much that's going
on in the world. So what I'd love to do
today is to do two things. First of all, look
at the potential Third Temple being rebuilt in Jerusalem and
(01:17):
will that happen? How important is that? And then after
a some period of break, we'll go to looking at
a statement recently by Benjamin Netanyahu about the greater Israel
which has implications for the boundaries of Israel that basically
his statement caused great consternation throughout the Arab world who
(01:38):
thought that maybe he's signaling an invasion of their spaces
like Saudi Arabia and Egypt and Qatar, et cetera, in
order to have more land for Israel. We'll look at
that possibility as well in the show. So I hope
this will be an interesting program. I've asked to join
me on the show my wife Marilyn forty seven plus
(01:58):
years now Maryland, welcome the show. Thank you, David, and
regularly Jen Houston and another friend joins Marilyn and me
in doing daily Moments of Hope, where we let five
minutes of hope come into your inbox at seven am
in the morning. First, Jen, welcome to the show again,
thanks for having me and would you tell our listeners
how they could get a daily moment of hope from
the three of us in their inbox at seven am
(02:20):
in the morning.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Sure, they can simply go to our church's website. It's
Moments of Hope Church dot org slash.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Eight.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
That's an acronym for moment of hope, so easy to remember.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
And they will arrive again in your inbox every morning
at seven am. It is our hope to give you
a moment of hope as you begin each day. Now,
let's move to the first topic today, the Third Temple.
In order to understand it, you need to understand the
first two temples. Well, the first one had as an
ideation King David in around oh nine fifty BC. He
(02:58):
did not build the temple was his idea. It was
his son Solomon who built the temple that was glorious,
filled with the splendor of God, all kinds of beautiful
stones and gold and other things that were a part
of the temple, and that lasted for two hundred plus
years until Nebuconezer and the Babylonians invaded Jerusalem, tore down
(03:20):
the walls and completely destroyed the temple. The final destruction
was in five eighty six BC. Many of the temple,
utensils and other valuables were carted off to Babylon and
remained there until they were brought back later on about
seventy years well while into captivity, we understand that Jeremiah
had already prophesied they'd be in this captivity for seventy years,
(03:44):
as Daniel understood that and brought that information to King Cyrus,
the Persian king who had overtaken the Babylonians. Cyrus allowed
the Israelites to return to the Promised Land in five
point thirty nine BC, and then allowed for the beginning
of the reconstruc duction of what's called the Second Temple
by Zerubabyle HAGGII and other people as well. It was
(04:06):
completed in five sixteen BC, and this is generally in
Israeli language called the Second Temple time period. That temple
lasted for hundreds of years to the time of Jesus
and King Herod. King Herod, the king of the Jews,
who also had great friendships with the Caesar and other people,
(04:27):
was able to take his vast wealth and expand upon
the Second Zerubabyle Temple and make it really one of
the wonders of the world. People would come from all
over the world and look at this temple and marvel
at its construction, its wealth, et cetera. Well, in seventy AD, though,
that Herodian Temple, the Second Temple, was deconstructed by General Titus,
(04:53):
who was the leader of the Roman Army, who was
trying to put out yet another Jewish rebellion and completely
ray East Jerusalem and especially the Temple to the ground.
So there is no First Temple, there is no Second Temple.
For a long time, it has not been reconstructed. Even
to this day. There's been lots of conversation among faithful,
(05:15):
more conservative Orthodox Jews through the centuries of their desire
to rebuild what's called the Third Temple. It has not
yet happened. So here we are, though, in May the fourteenth,
nineteen forty eighth, the re establishment of Israel, and we
know the different wars they've had to fight in the
nineteen fifties and particularly the nineteen sixties Seven Six Days War,
(05:36):
where they retook Jerusalem and particularly East Jerusalem back under
their possession. They immediately turned oversight of that to the
Jordanian police, and they are the ones who oversee that
particular part of the world. But on the top of
that temple mount there is the Alaska Mosque and the
Dome of the Rock, built in the seventh century AD
by the Muslim, the third holiest of sites. And what
(05:59):
we are to say covering now recently, that there is
an intense desire, a great desire for there to be
the reconstruction of the Third Temple. People aren't just talking
about it, they're talking about it in specificity. They have
reconstructed the utensils, They put together the ropes for the priests,
(06:19):
They have reconstructed the Cohen lineage, and the people with
the last named Colin have been brought to Jerusalem and
trained in priestly oversight. But there is no third Temple.
When we come back, Jen, I'm going to ask you
to read some texts about this Third Temple and know
that it's in the heart of the people and how
we can look forward to seeing what's going to happen
(06:41):
in this area. I'm David Chadwick, will be right back.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
Blessed O my soul, oh, my soul, willship his wholely
name she namely fool, oh sir worship.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
You're hi, everyone, I'm David Chadwick and this is News
Talk eleven, ten ninety nine three WBT. Welcome back to
the show. My wife Marilyn joins me, as does Jim Houston,
a dear friend. We're talking about what's going on with
the Third Temple in Jerusalem. In Israel, a lot of
talk right now of rebuilding the Third Temple, the first
one being by King Solomon mid nine hundreds BC, second
(08:12):
by Zerubabyl around five sixteen BC. That one was destroyed
in seventy a d by the Romans. It has not
been reconstructed yet. There are some biblical verses which hint
at a third temple in prophecy during end times. So Jim,
may I ask you to read a few of these.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Zechariah fourteen twenty it says, and on that day there
shall be inscribed on the bells of the horses, quote
holy to the Lord, and the pots in the House
of the Lord shall be as bulls before the altar.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
That's a prophecy verse, and it's talking about the House
of the Lord being constructed. Is there presently a House
of the Lord a temple, No, It's got to happen
in the end times. Daniel, Chapter nine, verse twenty seven jen.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
And he shall make a strong covenant with many for
one week, and for half of the week he shall
put an end to sacrifice, an offering, and on the
wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate until
the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
That's talking about the Antichrist, and mid term of a
seven year tribulation time period, three and a half years
into it, he's going to enter the constructed Temple and
declare himself to be God. That's obviously an end Times prophecy,
but there's got to be a temple for the Antichrist
to walk in, and Jesus actually refers to this in
(09:30):
Matthew twenty four as well, the Antichrist, the abomination of desolation,
going into the temple during the end Times. Second Thessalonians
two three and four some verses from the apostle Paul.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Let no one deceive you in any way, for that
day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and
the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
who opposes and exalts himself against every so called God
or object of worship, so that he takes his seat
in the Temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
The man of lawlessness is the Antichrist, once again referring
to that three and a half year time period when
he walks into Jin. You said at the temple, there's
no temple. There's got to be a reconstructed temple for
that prophecy to be fulfilled. Finally, Revelation chapter eleven, verses
one and two a true prophetic chapter, a true book
about prophecy, the Book of Revelation.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Sure, it says, then I was given a measuring rod
like a staff, and I was told, quote, rise and
measure the Temple of God and the altar and those
who worship there. But do not measure the court outside
the temple. Leave that out, for it is given over
to the nations, and they will trample the Holy City
for forty two months.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Again a reference to a temple being measured and being built. Well,
there's no temple right now, so there's got to be
a temple that is built to fulfill that prophecy as well. Well.
Obviously there's a huge problem with the construction of this temple,
and that is the reality that on the top of
that Temple Mount is the Dome of the Rock in
(10:58):
the Alaska Mos, two of the holiest sites in all
of Islam. In fact, they would call it their third
holiest site. How in the world can the Jews build
something up there when the Jordanians still control the Temple Mount.
But we see people like Ben Gavie, who is one
of the leaders of the Kanessan, a very conservative Orthodox Jew,
taking dozens of people up there right now and leading
(11:20):
worship and praying on the Temple Mount, something that has
never happened before. The Jews slowly but surely reclaiming the
Temple Mount as their place of worship. Could it be
that they are planning a newly built temple sometime in
the near future of Maryland?
Speaker 4 (11:34):
Your thoughts well, David, This is stunning because we were
in Israel on that very site just what three or
four months before October the seventh, twenty twenty three, and
we saw the absolute refusal of any Israelis to be
able to go up there. In fact, if an Israeli family,
which we saw this, Israeli families with little children went
up there to walk around that temple area, the Jordanian
(11:58):
guards would follow them with Miss guns to make sure
what that they did not pray. So they've gone from
that to now we've got dozens and dozens going up
there to pray.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
It appears October seventh, twenty twenty three unleashed a fervor
in some number of Jews to say, we want to
be close to our God and this is our special place.
Now some people have suggested that on the mount perhaps
it could be divided and the southern half could be
given to the children of Ishmael, the Arabs. They could
(12:30):
continue to celebrate the Dome of the Rock and the
Alaska Mosque in their worship, and that was the place
where Mohammad purportedly ascended to heaven. And then on the
northern half would be given to the children of Isaac
and they would be able to rebuild their third temple
and have their worship there, much like some concessions that
are going on around the world where facilities have been
(12:52):
built for quote unquote the Abrahamick family, and it's a
facility of worship where Jews, Muslims, and Christians can all
come worshiped together. By the way, it kind of suggests
a one world religion that the Antichrist will bring in
but some suggest that would be a way of solving
the Temple Mount tension, especially as the two state solution
(13:14):
is more and more going to be asked of Israel.
I think in the months to come there are one
hundred and forty nations that in the UN have now
asked Israel for a two state solution. It's going to
be voted on in September. You have major countries like
Canada and England and France and Germany supporting this. And
(13:35):
how could that happen? Because the Jews know that that
other state, the Palestinian state, wants them completely eradicated from
the face of the earth. Might they be willing to
offer a concession for a two state solution if it
brings peace and security a word that's often used in
the Bible regarding what's going to happen right before in
times catastrophes, but also allows them to have a temple
(13:58):
built on that Temple Mount. We just don't know, But
that's the biggest problem that is facing the Jews today
as they have this greatest desire to rebuild the Third Temple.
So what's going to happen? We don't know. We do
know there's a Temple Institute that has been formed in
(14:18):
nineteen eighty seven. They have all the utensils that are
necessary for the reconstruction of the temple sacrifices. They have
all the vestments that have been re knitted together. They
have re established, as I mentioned earlier, the co in
priestly line, so that the priests can recommence their sacrifices.
(14:38):
They have supposedly found a perfect red heifer that needs
to be sacrificed and fulfillment of numbers nineteen. The ashes
of that red heifer taken to a place on the
Temple mount and added with water from the Gihan springs,
which then allows that particular substance to be used for
the purification of the priests. For the recommencement of all
(15:01):
of those sacrifices. We know that the Temple Institute has
bought property on the amount of olives and have formed
a certain kind of altar there where this certain thing
can happen. So there seems to be so much that's
being placed in place by the Temple Institute in order
for these sacrifices to recommence Maryland well.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
And not to mention the road signs that reportedly have
gone up all over Israel.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Talk about them pointing.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
People to the temple and nobody knows who's put them up.
I'm sure somebody knows, but nobody is taking them down.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
They're remaining up. There's a row.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
Well just say this way to the temple, or go
this number of kilometers to get to the temple.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Yeah. It talks about the new temple, the direction, point
a new temple them in that direction, and shows them
the roads to take in order to go up to
the Temple Mount and see the Third Temple.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Jin you know, I think I remember when President Trump
was in office earlier, there was an article that I
came across that said he was going to help facility
the rebuilding and actually wanted to do a light rail
with a stop right there. Do you remember that.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
I absolutely remember that. It was from the Tel Aviv
airport that would have a train that goes directly to
the Temple Mount where people can get off in the
first thing they do in Jerusalem and visiting the Holy
Land would be to go up on the Temple Mount
and be able to worship, especially in the newly built
Third Temple, which is just astounding to even think about.
(16:26):
As we talk about this together, Now, we do know
that God gave a command to build the Tabernacle, and
then the Tabernacle was a mobile worship unit that ultimately
was taken into the first Temple that Solomon built. But
we know that the Tabernacle was commanded by God to
be constructed. Interestingly, the Temple was never commanded by God
(16:51):
to be constructed. It was David's idea passed on to Solomon.
His son. David gave a lot of the money for
the construction to occur, but it was not God's idea.
What's interesting here, as a lot of Christians talk about
the Third Temple, there's no command from God to build
a third temple. Obviously, the Third Temple will be rebuilt
in order for a lot of these prophecies to be fulfilled,
(17:14):
but it looks like it's going to be some outside agency,
some people who negotiate the issue to occur. And again
it's not from God. It looks like it's a human
genesis for this third Temple to be rebuilt.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Jen Well, I'd like to propose because God's desire is
for us to be the temple where the Holy Spirit
dwells within us as believers.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
It's always a good thought, and if we are the
temple of the Holy Spirit, that means we can abide
closely with God and don't need a building in order
to do so. Nevertheless, there's going to be a building,
and let's continue this discussion on the other side of
the break. I'm David Shadwick, will be right back.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
DeJesus help me to spread your fragrance everywhere that I go.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Dear geez everyone, I'm David Chadwick and welcome back to
the show.
Speaker 4 (18:54):

it as I'm enjoying it as well. My wife Marilyn
joins me today, as does a friend Jen Houston. We
(19:17):
do regular daily Moments of Hope together and then also
a weekly what we call Hope Cast, basically looking at
Israel and end Times mostly but other subjects as well.
They come out every Thursday and Jen Is this the
same way to get the hope cast that you would
get the daily Moments of Hope.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Yeah, you can find it there. Simply go to Moments
of Hope church dot org slash mooh, and you can
find all the resources that we contribute to there.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Well, it's great working with you guys. I enjoy it
so much. And let's complete our thought on the last
segment on this third temple that will be built. It
is biblical prophecy. How does it get built with the
Dome of the Rock and the Alaska Mosque right next
door by the way, some people think that there might
be some kind of war with the nations surrounding Israel
(20:03):
and some rocket fired that will take out the Alaska
Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, thus giving the
Jews the ability to rebuild the temple without that Muslim concern.
But right now, both of those holy sites, the third
holiest sites in all of Islam exist, How does that
temple get built? Also, some people say there's just not
enough room. If you look at the dimensions of the
(20:23):
Temple in the Bible, there's not enough room with those
two Muslim entities up there. And also the responsible direction
for the Temple to be built there as well. I
don't know. I'm not an architect. I can't say. All
I know is that third Temple is important in biblical prophecy,
and evidently from those of us who take the Bible seriously,
(20:44):
it's got to exist for Jesus to return Maryland. Any
final thoughts on that, And again, you just made such
a great point that there are signs in Jerusalem right
now pointing to the Temple at the Temple Mount. And
also one other thing, they've got murals on the walls
in Jerusalem right now, the temple being rebuilt on the
Temple Mount. It's just amazing.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
I think the key word there, David is signs, because
signs are everywhere, and not just literal signs. We've got
all the prophetic signs in scripture. And people that have
been watching these have noticed that since Israel has made
a nation in nineteen forty eight, it just seems like
with great regularity there are important prophecies that have come
about that have real significance for Christians. If we're reading
(21:24):
our Bibles, that would be Jerusalem was one back, and
we had the Hebrew language restored, we had the Ethiopian
Jews and other Jews brought.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Back nineteen ninety three. I think it will.
Speaker 4 (21:33):
Yeah. I mean, all of these side propheside throughout Scripture,
so we have to look at it from Christians as
from a Christian standpoint, going, this is all lining up
according to our Bible. And then if you're Jewish, you're going, wow,
this is all lining up according to our Scripture. So
something in the world is going on.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Keep your eyes on the nation of Israel, keep your
eyes on the city of Jerusalem, keep your eyes on
the Temple Mount. Those three things will give you some
indications of what's going on through the lenses of biblical prophecy,
because all three are important in fulfilling what the Bible
says is going to happen. Now let me shift gears.
Let me talk some about Benjamin Netan, yahoo the Prime
(22:12):
Minister of Israel. Let me introduce this part of our
program by saying, you know, I went through a fairly
tough time some years ago, and I really wondered if
I would make it through that time. But during it,
I just kept pushing myself deeper and deeper into the Lord,
and I knew that if I could find my strength
in him, I could make it through this trial. And
(22:34):
indeed what happened in the days, I kept pushing myself
deeper into him. I kept going deeper into him, and
I found a newfound strength that He's my rock, my salvation,
my hope, my life. And I was able to make
it through that very difficult time. But in that time
I turned towards spiritual strength, spiritual reality, spiritual truth. Well,
since October seventh, twenty twenty three, that was I would
(22:55):
bet the worst day in the life of Benjamin Netan Yahoo.
And we have heard recently of an interview that he
underwent on I twenty four, which is Israel twenty four news,
and was interviewed by a former Kanesset member named Sharon Gaul.
And in that interview, Netanyahu said some absolutely interesting things
(23:16):
which made me wonder if enduring his deepest, darkest night
of the soul since October seventh, twenty twenty three, he
hasn't found a new found spiritual strength in the Lord,
but also in searching the scriptures. I know when I
went through my difficult time, I also spent remember Maryland,
hours just searching the scriptures trying to find biblical truth.
I wonder if he hasn't done the same thing which
(23:38):
allowed him to say some absolutely astounding things, Jen, would
you talk about that, please?
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Sure? Yes. In this interview that he did with I
twenty four TV News, he made these statements, quote, he's
on a historic and spiritual mission, and that he's very
attached to the mission and the vision of the Promised Land.
And this term greater Israel.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Fascinating the Promised Land and greater Israel, well, Greater Israel
is a term that Zionists have used since the late
eighteen hundreds, when the zeal To return to their homeland
and recapture Mount Zion, which is the Temple Mound, which
is the mountain upon which Jerusalem is built. They had
(24:23):
gone for hundreds upon hundreds of years, being the most
persecuted people on the face of the earth. So finally
Zionists began to come together and say, the only way
we can ever protect ourselves against enemies who want us
thwarted and eradicated is to go back to our homeland. Now, remember, folks,
this is late eighteen hundreds. This is far before the Holocaust,
(24:44):
before Hitler and the eradication of six six million plus Jews.
We now know that since the Holocaust, the Jews found
favor in the sight of the world, which allowed Zionism
and the return to their homeland to occur. And they
since made the fourteenth nineteen forty eight, have gone into
their homeland and established themselves there. And they now are able,
(25:06):
at least in their own minds, to have the best
opportunity to protect themselves against enemies. It's fascinating that the
moment they were declared a nation, immediately the Arab nations
surrounding them attacked them for the purpose of eliminating them.
They did not succeed. Same thing happened in the nineteen fifties,
in the nineteen sixties, nineteen seventies, even beyond there. But
(25:26):
every time any attempt to eradicate Israel has occurred has
not been successful. And there is Israel in that promised land.
Netan Yahoo, though, faced one of their most serious attacks
on October the seventh, twenty twenty three, where twelve hundred
lives were taken hostages taken, twenty five to thirty of
whom are still in Hamas's control. And I can't help
(25:47):
but wonder if this didn't push him into a deeper
place in his relationship with God and also force him
to look at some of the scriptures that are there
about the boundaries of Israel where God promised them. Two,
let's look first of all jen At Abraham in Genesis
chapter fifteen, verse eighteen, what does that say?
Speaker 2 (26:07):
It says on that day the Lord made a covenant
with Abram, saying to your offspring, I give this land
from the river of Egypt to the great river, the
river Euphrates.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
And chapter seventeen, verse eight, what does that say?
Speaker 2 (26:21):
And I will give to you and to your offspring
after you the land of your sojournings, all the land
of Canaan for an everlasting possession, and I will.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Be their God.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
So if you read those verses and Exodus twenty three,
twenty one and numbers thirty four, it looks like the
promises from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, from
the wilderness to the Euphrates. Especially in numbers thirty four,
you see those boundaries really outline. But adding one more
to them is Ezekiel forty seven, verses thirteen through twenty one.
(26:53):
In the Huge News, in the huge newly built Temple,
you see boundaries that go into Saudi Arabia. They go
into Katar, they go into Egypt and other places as well.
So people are asking, what does that greater Israel mean?
Does that mean the expansion of Israel into nations that
(27:14):
are surrounding them? And that's what's causing the consternation of
the Arab world. When they heard Benjamin Netanyahu's comment, they
went bonkers. You know, from Saudi Arabia to Qatar, to
the Arab League, to Jordan, to Egypt, they all just
said that is completely inappropriate. Netanyahu is crazy. He can't
(27:37):
have this idea of a greater Israel. But yet, at
the end of the day, I really wonder if that's
not what he's thinking. At the end of the day,
I'm thinking he might well realize that the only way
he's going to ever be able to satisfy his desire
for protection is to have these boundaries set up so
that Israel can't get invaded again. And one other fascinating
(27:59):
piece of information on this is twenty three hundred homes
have just been built by Israelis in the West Bank.
Now the world calls at the West Bank, the Jews
call it Judaea and Samaria, that's their historic names. And
these houses are right next to East Jerusalem. And what
a lot of people think is when this pressure is
placed upon Israel by the world. The UN's voting on
(28:22):
this again in September to put pressure on Israel for
a two state solution. They can say, we can't have
a two state solution where Jerusalem's out of our control.
We have twenty three hundred homes steadfastly built by Jews
who live right there. We can't give up not only
these homes, but especially the Temple Mount, which has implications
for that Third Temple we just talked about. So we
(28:44):
do wonder if that's what God may be doing in
all of this, And we do wonder if that whole
idea of the greater Israel the Third Temple might be
related in some ways we can't even begin to understand
right now, because well we're not going to see what
tomorrow old. But the good news is we know who
holds tomorrow. Our Lord God will continue this discussion about Israel,
(29:08):
the Temple Mount, netting, Yahoo, and any other thoughts we
three may have. I'm David Chadwick, will be right back.
(29:48):
Christ is my.
Speaker 5 (29:49):
Ful fine days, the Rock and everything.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Everyone, I'm David Chadwick, and this is News Talk elet
in ten ninety nine three WBT, Welcome back to the show.
The purpose of today was to look at the nation
of Israel. And I've always believed that if you want
to know about end times, look at the nation of Israel.
If you want to look at the biblical perspective on
what's going to happen in the future, look at the
nation of Israel. And you know, for literally hundreds of years,
(30:26):
people didn't take biblical prophecy literally because they said, you
know what, Jerusalem doesn't exist and Israel doesn't exist, and
there's no temple on the Temple Mount because in seventy
a d. The Romans completely raised it to the ground.
So you had a lot of biblical prophetic interpretations being
very metaphorical, very illustrative. Again, they just wouldn't take it
(30:48):
literally because there was not a Jerusalem that was strong
in a nation called Israel with a Temple mount where
the third Temple was builts. But that all changed on
May the fourteenth, nineteen forty eight, when in fulfillment of
the prophecy in Isaiah sixty six eight, can a nation
suddenly be reborn? And that answer rhetorically is yes, it
can be because it was Israel out of nowhere was reborn,
(31:11):
and the Zionism that had been preached for some decades
now became a reality around the world, I think largely
because of sympathy toward what the Jews had been through
in Nazi Germany and the six million plus who had
been eradicated in just hideous situations concentration camps, et cetera.
So now Israel does exist in that land, and as
(31:33):
you read about Israel and the end Times, you see
a lot of the signs beginning to unfold right before us,
and it really is quite amazing. Now, interestingly, one of
the prophetic perspectives is not a two state solution necessarily
mentioned in the Bible, but that there will be these
(31:54):
two key words, peace and security, and that peace and
security will lead to a seven year piece covenant between
Israel and the nations around them, its enemies purportedly in
the past. And this seven year peace covenant, interestingly, is
(32:14):
exactly the same amount of years that the United Nations
is offering to Israel right now as well. And when
you look at that, you've got to laugh a little
bit and say, this just can't happen on its own
biblical prophecy being fulfilled in our midst well, this peace
and security you could see, particularly after what Israel has
been through since October the seventh, twenty twenty three, their
(32:37):
desire to be protected, their desire to have peace, their
desire to have security, and after all of this fighting,
after hostage is being mercilessly treated, you have to wonder
if Israel will say, Okay, we're willing to open ourselves
up to some kind of solution with our Palestinian neighbors
in order to have peace and security. And one wonders
(33:00):
if that's not going to be the door through which
the Antichrist walks through and then allows himself to take
control of the world as we know it, allowing there
to be not only peace and security in the Mid East,
but bringing together the one World government and the one
World economic system and keeping that peace and security not
just localized in Israel, but throughout the entire world. So, Marilyn,
(33:23):
you and I talk a lot about this as we
look at the Mid East, knowing the importance of their
desire for peace and security, especially after not just October
the seventh and twenty twenty three, but decades since nineteen
forty eight of continual fighting with their neighbors.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
David, You're so right, they do. They are probably reeling
from all that they have gone through, especially since October
the seventh. But I go back to the fact that
they still want this third temple so badly. And the
other thing is they want the hostages back. So I
don't know what could happen to cause peace and security
without those conditions being met, And maybe that is what
(34:00):
opens the door for some kind of brokering of a deal.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
Well, since nineteen eighty seven there has been a Temple
Institute and it has put into place many different efforts
to try and recommence the sacrifices that were part of
the Old Testament sacrificial system, and of course there's got
to be a third temple for that to occurse. We've
wondered if could that be a part of the peace
and security measure as well? The promise of the world
(34:26):
will let you rebuild your third temple, even next to
the Alaska Moscue and the Dome of the Rock, in
order for there to be peace and security in your
midst and for you to quit fighting with one another.
We just don't know, but we do know that's a
real problem. And we do know that Jews have a
passion for that Third Temple. We do know that peace
(34:47):
and security is going to be one of their passions
biblically as the end times progress. So it's just going
to be fascinating to watch all of this unfold. Jin.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
You know, I'm very appreciative, Like Marylyn often says that
you take a deep dive in this, because I'm learning
right along with our listeners. I'm just learning so much,
and I think it's important to learn as Americans, as
Israel's best, biggest, most faithful, ally, it's important for us
to be aware of all of these details.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
I thank you for doing that. Well, you're welcome, Jin.
I'm also asking you know why is America not mentioned
in the End Times prophecy or there's no power from
the West that's particularly mentioned. And I really don't know
because we're such a friend of Israel right now, But
could it be that in all of these talks and
in maybe Netanyahu's another's frustration with neighbors and refusing to
(35:39):
seek the peace of cords, that maybe Trump might like
we might withdraw from our friendship with Israel. I mean,
who knows. We don't know what the future holds, but
it really is important, I think, for us to understand
if we are students of the Bible in times, but
more importantly, to understand where those end times happen. Just
keep in mind that is the nation is the face
(36:01):
of the clock, the minute hand is the city of Jerusalem,
and the second hand is the Temple mount. Just keep
looking at those three things. And then when you see
nettin Yahu talking about a greater Israel, that's the land
he's talking about the boundaries that he believes God promised
to Abraham. And we know in one of those verses
in Genesis fifteenth, verse seven and eight, God made the
(36:24):
promise that that land was given to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob
and all of the Jews in perpetuity as an ever
lasting covenant. I know listeners to my sermons sometimes get
tired of me saying this kind of thing, But I
looked up the word everlasting this week. Guess what it means, Jim,
Guess what it means last. It means everlasting, it means eternal,
it means forever in perpetuity. So that's why the Jews
(36:45):
cling to that land so ferociously, because they believe Almighty
God gave them that land originally to Abraham to his descendants.
It's their land. One of the reasons they want to
do archaeological digs on the Temple Mount is to prove
that King David and Solomon did build that temple up there,
for that proves that they had that land thousands of
(37:06):
years ago. So it's just going to be fascinating to
watch all of this. And that's why I do these
updates with WBT also in my weekly Hope casts as well,
just because I think we need to keep our eyes
on that part of the world.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Miryland well, and the Bible exhorts us, and this includes
all Christians to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and
we are supposed to be praying for Israel and Jerusalem anyway.
So I don't think we can just sit on the
sideline and kind of watch this drama unfold without inserting
at least our heart and our prayers into this process.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
And Israel didn't start this war with Hamas. Hamas started
the war. They invaded Israel. They have done the horrendous
things they have the hostages we've heard about the way
they've tortured and hurt the hostages, and it's just hard
for me to believe that the world would turn to
Hamas and be on their side regarding what Hamas did
to Israel. But such is the hatred, the anti Semitism
(37:58):
that existed a world ward. I think that's yet another
sign of the end times. We can do another show
on that one sometime, just how Satan hates the Jews
and he doesn't like them being in that land because
it has to do with Jesus return and the ultimate
crushing off his head. But that again is another message
for another day. Marylyn.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
Any final thoughts, Well, you know I'm going to say this,
and I don't mean for it to be trite, but
our history is marching along right beside Israel's history as
it unfolds, and we are probably wise to always just
keep looking up.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
Jen Any final thoughts, Oh, it'd.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
Say pray, practice hospitality, and like Marylyn said, look up.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
And Lord free the hostages. Marylynd on your phone every day,
eleven fifty nine beeps for you to remind you to
pray for the hostages. Everyone, please remember to do that
as well, and for the peace of Jerusalem. Song twenty two,
verse six that's important as well, but pray for the
principes to give peace to the entire world. I'm David Chadwick.
