Speaker 1 (00:04):
It's somethings out the scenes long at the same time as.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah, I guess that the last couple of games every
day look like they've been moving on to the the
second day groups moving.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
And seek and uh, they're playing some confidence football and
then they're they're they're playing confident football on the whole team.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
You know so and watched the tape and feel.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Like they got some good Vetteran guys and they never
know how to kind of.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Directly flow and make sure everybody's in the right spots.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
But uh, I think I got a good better this
SPERI I think got we got some good step all
stuff off and so it just could be the match
up watchings from the v.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
It's robe just talking about the matter chance the next year.
Its like a theme year on the Anthony mean you've.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Lost, you take out of that the group quite practice
or Sunday effect.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, I think that the positive that we took away
from last year and then the losses that we have
this year is that it's not something that we're not we're.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Not capable of doing. It's it's the excuse of coming.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Down with the contested catch er, blocking the right guy
in the run assignment and the close yards football, being
able to win the line of scrimmage and stuff like that.
So it's not some exotic hook that the defense has
given us that we're not able to diagnose or dissect.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So it's a it's a it's a confidence feeling in
us and being like man, the challenges accepted and we're
ready to make those plays. So it feels, uh, it
feels exciting.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Touchdown. Do you see that as like business as usual
or that even for you?

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Yeah, that stretching, I think it is a good word
for it, for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
On hundred and sampion like man, when at something, I
feel like I say all the time, when Matthew puts
the ball out there, you're gonna put in the one
spot that we can get it. So being able to
be there that right spot and man, using every ounce
of my body to get there, it feels great.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I mean, being able to execute in the residents.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Something that we've been able talking about and being able
to to get in the resident and it's come away
with six points.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Not only just kicking field goals.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
It's better when you get in the end zone.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
However, it happened, so it felt great. But when you're
when you're in the year and he's throwing it to
that Fuck, what's that? I know it's the second family,
but what's going through your mind?

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, I was thinking, I'm like, man, I definitely have
a confidence in my ability to run past, but not
eve think I'm that fast.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Like I looked at the ball, I was like, all right,
then here we go.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
It's kind of a quick moment of like, I'm gonna
be close, but it's gonna take every hoance of my
my body to get there.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
And it definitely did so.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Uh, definitely some some bruises, but feel good, said the
first one of the year, and then obviously like, man,
when you have a one and a two play drive
as an offense, I'm sure the linemen are excited about
that one. But asked someone who's constantly having to run
down the field, I'm like, man, that's a lot easier
than having to go ten plays at ninety.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Five yards because that's uh, sorry, I'm not growing up.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Sorry I think you said growing up. I was like, yeah,
I'm glad you see that too. I definitely everybody sees
you growing up right before eyes. I was like, thank you,
that's a comment. No, it's actually just starting.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's kind of kind of a last year thing, but
I feel like, yeah, there have definitely been some things
that I've changed in my game day to feel a
little bit. I don't know if it's like I feel
comfortable in gaming, that's for sure, that's the best, best,
best day.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Of the week, but kind of calming some of those
nerves in a mixture of what I eat.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
As well Thanksgiving approaches. What are you thinking? What are
you thinking?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
One?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I'm thinking for my mom.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
That's why I get to I try to call as
much as I can, and then, uh, my brothers.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I come from a big family, and I think my sister.
I say my brothers, and I feel like they get
all the glory of me talking about them. But my
sister is I feel like just as much as a
big brother to me as my older brothers were beating
me up.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
But then also having that the other view and the perspective.
So I'm thinking for my family, are oh need football?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Somewhere on the carpet in the house, we find the
way it was on the little turf spot we had
out in Las Vegas, or we marked out the pillows
is the end zone and everybody hopped down on your knee,
so everybody's eligible.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
To get hit.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Uh No, that because I'm being honest with you guys.
Somebody told me we're in the NFCUS, so.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
That's good to know, I guess, But I just yeah,
one one, one, one day at a time is my mentally.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
I feel like I say that to you guys a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
But then it's a whatever game we have coming up
on Sunday or whatever the day, we could call it out.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
And I can get.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Specific remember the first thing.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Special protection.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
To watch its mm hm.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I know. I definitely grabbed my attention being like, man,
is there potentially something he's about to say to me?

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I know last year there's probably like a rush of
emotions and being like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
I know what's about to come out of his mouth next,
Like whatever he's about to say is there's gonna change
what I'm doing. But I guess it's it's a cool
it's a cool moment to see on the field and
being able to see the communication and then the reassurance
that he gets in the line of the line and
then the research that they get back to him and
being like, oh, they know exactly what.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
He's talking about. And he's able to dictate and command
what's going on. So I feel like I'm watching my
mom and someone really clean the house or something like that. Quarterback.
But just.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
As much as easy to be, I would definitely say
there is a lot we.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Put on Matthew Stafford's plate.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Now I would.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
It's hard to speak for other other places, but I
know espe with some young guys on our line, on
our line of scrimmage right now, there's a and even
with the veteran guys. Number nine is telling everybody the
best of his abilities and making sure that everybody I
from our left tackle to our right tackle and everybody
in the backfield is.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
On the same page.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
So it's hard to say if people are able to
have the communication he does.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Because I'm sure I feel like he's driving the whole
play of bulf.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I'm not a big football watcher, so I'll probably try
to sleep as much as I can, and then I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Our nutritions would love for me to eat some food
of the day of the game, so.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
That will probably be in a game plan somewhere.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
No, not really, not not too often.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
I mean I watch, I'll watch our tape and if
everybody's sitting down and watching the game, But if we're.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Playing it, I will just be like too much of
a rush of emotions before I got to have my game.
So I'm like, I'm not trying to give anybody else
my energy. You got to save it all up for whatever.
That kickoff is.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
So thank you, guys. It's happy.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
He's had.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Guys as contents do a lot of season in that. MM. Yeah, well,
I mean I think you're kind of ready for that
to be.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
That's just show 'em that'sh he is, you know, And
so you're expecting, I mean, if it's when whatever, when
it's not rolling or if these aren't quite there, you're
kind of just expecting that you're gonna pop off at
some point, you know.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
So for us, it's kind of just saying it and
it'll come back to size.

Speaker 6 (07:32):
You know. There's been some ups and downs, frushing comments
this year, rough now or just not right quite finding it,
But the intention on the sideline is knowing, hey, we
got mine back there. We keep working, we keep you know,
trying to find solutions here. He's gonna keep working for
us and give us an opportunity. So that's kind of
just been the attitude.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Regardless when you move back to back game.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Watch October against Eagles, and so these opportunities and there
were certainly some this year similar things. Take anything this
week during practices, words up on a Sunday than to.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
See that that doesn't help with nat.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Yeah, well, you certainly plan. You try to play a
perfect game where you're obviously putting the game plan together.
You're practicing trying to you know, execute things exactly as
why they're supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
But any even in.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
Practice, and rarely is the practice going to go on.
You've never seen a practicing it happen that we don't
come in here the day after and say, hey, here's
some stuff you gotta fixed. It's just the reality of
this game. And so you see miss opportunities things like
that you want to do better. You hope you learn
from and you put yourself in the position where hey,
can you can you anticipate that next time and be
able to make a decision. You'll do something to put
yourself in a in a position to win.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
And that's that you have one of your takes.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
If you're gonna play and active in a game or
the state of cat the ball, if.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
With do.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Can you take that? How is that just instant reaction
or no.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
So we've had we we usually preview things in a
little what the situation is, and so sons like, hey,
I'm gonna have you run as fast.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
As you can the sideline, Matthew's gonna throw it to you,
but also saying bounds and so I was like, you know, okay,
figure that out.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
But yeah, no, it's you know, it's unfortunately we've been
a game earlier this year where I wasn't able to
make as a situation where we need the same bounce,
run the clock out or you know for some mus
to time out and what game it was. But I
didn't do that, And so there was an added in
sistem making sure that was people to find a way
to get down, because that's I mean, we see a
lot you guys make catches in the end zone and

(09:33):
you get their toe down, make sure.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Down that's like yeah, yeah, got like a sand bag
just trying to get down.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:58):
So that was something that you know when my so
when I first got here was with Sean, so I
saw from the very beginning the protection stuff.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
That went in, you know, when Garrett was here and
at that time.

Speaker 6 (10:09):
We had John Sullivan who had been with Sean and Washington.
So you know when John was here, John did the
protection is his first you know, year and a half
before Garrett's. You know, they'll catch up with what was
going on. Garrett Kicko took that over and on Thursday
walked There was always the most stressful day, most stressful
hour of the week because it was like, hey, let's

(10:30):
pick up and you know, while the protections and things
like that, and Seawn's very.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Passionate about pass protection and so you know, that was
always a big deal.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
When Matthew got here, he's obviously seen everything under the sun.
He's got played in every offense. It's like he's likely
Savantah football. And say he came in here and remember
that first, you know, first training camp to go through that.
We let's pick up the walkthrough and Matthew.

Speaker 3 (10:59):
Others getting I guess an.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Exactly where he wants to be in and we're walking
off there and just clapping. This is like the stress
that comes off and you have a quarterback, so that.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Just they will see things like that. And again, just
because of all the knowledge that he has, all the
repertoire of things that he's seen puts in a really
good position and he'll make those from last week last week. Yeah, well,

(11:40):
you know, I don't have like a specific.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
Moment of like that happening anything or anything like that,
but but I.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Do like when you know, Matthew will get the line
and you'll he be like all right, hey.

Speaker 6 (11:50):
Listen up everyone, and you can kind of tell that
he's not just talking to the line, talking to the
coaches behind, and it's like, hey, listen up, I'm gonna
tell you, like how you know, it's when he gets
a really when I seeking his voice as all loud,
he kind of dresses everyone he has to feel good,
yea as us like a confidence smager to him. So
I mean that he did that a couple of times
last week where I'm staying back there and stick getting

(12:10):
the coach like his coaches Sco'm not expecting that, and
uh but yeah, it's it's this one. He's he's got
a great commanded player, Cooper. I mean, they're they're pretty
I mean they're good across the board, obviously playing at
a very high level.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
I thought, you know, coach Fango has done a really
good job with him. He's no good jobs throughout his
career in terms of the defenses that he's had.

Speaker 6 (12:35):
And these guys seem like they're they picked up how
to play this name really well, play with each other,
and uh.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Obviously the front is is playing really well.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
They've got some really good football players up there back
in playing off each other, communicating well, winebackers flying I s.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
You know, it was a defense.

Speaker 6 (12:50):
It really sound and it's a scheme that you know,
has been proven to be pretty successful in this league.
So you gotta have a lot of respect for it
in the in the players have m Yeah, I mean
the division thing is gonna be what it is. You know,

(13:10):
you're just prepare to go out there and win the
game that week. You got to take this take a
season and you know and days, you know, one day
at a time, truly in like bite sizing comments and
just say what time we do today, preparing for to
the point.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
For this week. You know, so all we can control
and that's the best things to take. But it just went.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Cooper, Thanks Cooper, thanksgiving this approach.

Speaker 3 (13:35):
What do you think you for this?

Speaker 6 (13:36):
You always have the best questions, so many things, so
many things. Obviously, I think the thing that I've been
the most thankful for just throughout the years, is you know,
things be work things out here. Everyone wants to make
a big point of this and how important this is,
and it seems to kind of want.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
To take over your your world. But just remembering that
you're you know, I get to go home to an
terrible fan.

Speaker 6 (13:56):
Of the wife and always that love me regardless of
what happens on football field, And I'm thankful for the
family that when I get to go.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Do you have a favorite childhood thanks to give the livery.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
No?

Speaker 6 (14:09):
I like things even just you know, you've got football on,
You've got a lot of food, You're around family. It's
you know, it's it's It's one of my favorite holidays,
just because I'm not a huge like fan fan of
the food, but just being around family and have football
and all day it's a pretty nice pretting set up.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Just sit there and read books.

Speaker 6 (14:32):
Or wait, I don't know, it's yeah, I don't know,
keep play wordle just's nothing to do.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
Just I try to make it as normal today as
possible as you can of. Like I mean, I was
just sitting in a hotel all day, so as normal
as it can be sitting in a.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Hotel all day, I guess yeah, oh yeah. Read books
all the time. So many books. I've read so many.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
I am like eighteen books in this year, just just
in the season so far. Some really good ones I'm
really like, I'm really into like biographies and memoirs and
things like that, you know. I think when Breath becomes
There is a great one. When you read TECs with Maury.
Another good one, short read that's really good. Glass Castle

(15:14):
is great. It's you.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Off the top of my head, yeah, that would be
my top grade. You don't have C was recommending for
I can think of on the top of my head.
THO would be the three perfect Yeah,
