like to eat. I wish I could eat as much
as you guys, but I gotta stay fast in the field,
so that's unfortunate. But I actually brought out some food
for you guys if we want to unveil what we
have here today. We got so La La food culture
is big in Hispanic food. We're being in the tacos

(01:02):
or big in the case is you name it, but
got some tacos. It's got some street tacos for you
guys today. You guys can help yourself if you want to,
but you know it's gonna be real cool. Just eat
if you want to have a conversation.

I got, I got the special I got, I got
the special order. I got the special order.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Now we were talking a little bit before off camera,
but they say you have an extensive palette.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
What's like being here in la you know, Like I'm not.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I'm not saying like extensive as you eat crazy stuff,
but I'm saying, what is probably the what is the
craziest thing that you say you've eaten?

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Like for me, it would be grilled octopus.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Like grilled octapus. That's not even crazy, that that's usual,
that's entry level. I've probably eaten craziest thing.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Like you've had some frog legs, creakedst bugs, anything like that.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
No bugs, no crickets, that's not up my alley. But
I had like tark tar, you know, not eating raw
stuff before. But you know, i'd say I have a
match rized palette, like I don't have like a like
uh you Andrew.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Zim Zimmer you eat around the world.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
You don't.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
I'm not there yet. But you know what I'm saying,
I eat like a grown up. I don't like that.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
So you're not saying you're not saying no to anything.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
No, I'm not saying no to anything. There are some things.
I'll say that fish filet is one of them. From McDonald's.
I'm telling you we got earlier about this, but now
I just say, like I got an extensive palate and
being out here, you know, the the eats are crazy.
I got into I went to this other place and
what's Hollywood is called. I think Salty Girl had tin fish.

(02:36):
You heard of tim tin fish like the new the
new fat. And you know they prepared with like with
ricatta little caliber chili jam is.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Fire chili jam.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Yeah, it's fire. You put it on a little Christini.
Oh so you really like you're doing it?

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Would you say you're a foody yourself too?

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Yeah, I've never every time I go somewhere, I try
to eat like the weirdest thing on the menu, and
it's it's been good and bad. Eating his place in Dallas,
it's like a hot pot place. And I brought my
parents and we just try to eat new stuff. Our
tongue and they were like duck tongue and then there

(03:23):
was pig brain and we tried both of those, like
I can't get the taste of the big brain was
like think of like the nastiest thing you ever taken
in your life. But then put that in like a
peanut butter form. So when you put it in your mouth,
it just like spreads and stays.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
No, it was like a pet ta.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
No, it's like they put they get give, put the
brain on the plate, throw it in this little it's
like a it's almost like a fryer bowl. You put
it in there, let it cook for like twenty minutes.
Do you think it's gonna firm up? Didn't up?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
No, No, that is.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
See I can't do that. I did have ever had
cawtung tacos lingua.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I know it's pretty you said, so I'm the.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Only one that has had it.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
That's like a normal taco.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Like no, no, no, no, sometimes you catch a taste but
on it or two whatever.

Speaker 4 (04:23):
You know, you know it's wild.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
I'm thinking, like, oh, I've eaten that like pretty nice
restaurants I've been. But what I'm hearing is I am
rookie cowtungue tacos pig brain. Not that it was good,
but see I haven't even it's right, that's wild. But
talking about looking good, eating good, all that stuff your glasses.

(04:47):
Now there was a viral clip of you that was
posting on social media last year of you wearing your
glasses in the NFL intros, and actually, to do you
some justice, I actually brought some glasses for me and
Joanah toy you to put these on. I put on
my own I put on my own glasses so we
can ye. No, No, you're good, You're good.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Go ahead. Yeah, we're looking pretty good.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Anybody's they're not They're not Cardia, you know, they're not
Cardi your friends.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Yeah, no, I need a ten a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
But can I tell us a little bit about like
what went into that, how that whole situation went. And
then now like I feel like we can call you
cardiak dot, you know, because of the glass.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
You know, in Pittsburgh, it really wasn't a thing, like
they didn't really like allow me to do it. But
when I got here, I'm wearing I was wearing them
already before we took the shots, and I asked the dude, hey, can.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
We can I keep these on? He's like, please please
keep them and I'll put them on.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
And then after I did it, I probably got every
person that went to my school that was watching TV
at that point tagged me. I can't believe he did
I can't believe he did this. Like, I got a
bunch of pairs of cardiers. I need to start wearing them,
start trying to get it out there.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
H So you have multiple pairs, you need to get
that deal.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
I got like thirteen thirty.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Optical.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
You always give me right, you have.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Thirteen pairs of cardio glasses. I should have asked you
to bring some of your pairs to you.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Should have thrown it.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Now, is that something you think you could do it
on a on a game day basis?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Like you know how some guys they come off, they
come off, they come off after a drive. You're throwing
a hat, you're throwing a beanie. Do you think you
could do what that does and throw some class?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
That's him, man, that's him. He's been a little cap on,
you know. But yeah, you think he's the one and
only cardiac cav.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Okay, now, Jonah, we talked a little bit about your
transition coming from Detroit. I want to talk a little
bit more about food and I want to make it.
You know, you guys have to let me know in
a hot dog eating contest.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Now, I don't I know you you okay in a
hot dog eating contest? Do you think you could beat kok?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Probably?

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Okay, done, I've done actually you've done. No, no, no, no,
I've done competitive eating before.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Tell Let's tell us I.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Ate a nine patty burger in a minute, in twenty.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Seconds, a nine patty burger, and did you get like
a prize?

Speaker 5 (07:21):
No?

Speaker 3 (07:21):
It was.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
It was like a nationwide it's called Jake's Way Back
Burger competition. And like when I did it, the people
were so puzzled, like they're like, well he really just
like we thought we were gonna win it, but somebody
in Minnesota ended up winning it.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
So you just went in and said, hey, I want This.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Was after high school football practice went with the Billy Buster.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Give me. We all tried it, but nobody was close
to it. Yeah, how he is to wash it down?

Speaker 1 (07:49):
You know, you can't just do it straight up, to
turn into like a peanut butter sandwich and eat the
water with it.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Oh, that's mandatory mandatory.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
So in let's say, in ten minutes, how many do
you think you can put down hot dogs?

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Ten minutes? Just chilling him?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I don't know, I never tried.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
It, you know?

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Is that something you would.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
If if if if fifty days, if Nathan wanted to
bring me on and go ahead the head with Joey,
I do it.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
But you know so out of all the online and
who do you think would win?

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Though? I don't know if you guys had to line
up like like how they do like a hot dog
eating contest. They have.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Not really a grubber, is he?

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Rubber? All right?

Speaker 5 (08:39):
Maybe mad dog he got the motivation for it.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Mad dog got the stomach.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Boy, he got the yeah, he got he got, he
got the drive he really has. He has the determination.
Yeah he canna put it down.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Okay, okay, Now there was a rumor, there was a
rumor about you again that you had an identical twin brother.
There not identical, okay, so but you have you have it, Okay,
you have a fraternal twin brother. Now is like talk
us a little bit about that? Is he did he
play football? Does he does he play football? Are you

(09:14):
guys close? Does he have the same mannerisms as you
all this stuff? No?

Speaker 5 (09:18):
We we definitely two different guys. We really we were.
We have such a close knit relationship. Then like just
sitting in the room, like if something would have happened
and I looked over there. You know what I'm trying
to say. So we we've always had that like non
verbal like even we played. We used to play high
school together. We played he played center, I played guard.

(09:39):
Sometimes he just be like kept and I know something,
I need to do something. And he he was like
one eighty playing center in high school and I'm next thing.
I'm three fifteen right guard. And so we always had
that working is he talk? They were the same hype.

(10:01):
So I just got the same way. And I'm not
going to the league. But now he's a chemical engineer,
the manager, so he making money.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
He getting number was.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Supporter, Yeah, not taking who's older? You got like and
you got because I know some twins they fight about this, they're.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Like, well, I you know I came from I stopped
fighting by nine minutes older.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
So you're you're a little bro.

Speaker 5 (10:26):
I'm big little bro. Like that was legit my name
in high school, like big little Dot. My dad was
big Dot, my brother was a big die. I a
little big Dot.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
I want to ask you guys, what was your welcome
to the NFL moment?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
I remember the first play we played the Chicago Bears.
The Keen Hicks was the four eye and I kind
of reached him.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
It wasn't a bad play, but he like shucked me
off and then he stood up and I looked at it.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
He's like, good grip, young man.

Speaker 5 (10:53):
Grip.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Okay, okay, cool, Yeah, that's cool.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
My first positive one was first game I ever played
was against Fletcher Cox. Like that's my first start. So
I haven't played all week, I haven't practiced with them
with the ones or nothing. And I had Dave get
the Castro in front of me and he did like

(11:17):
one drive and then ran. That's like I'm done. My
heart started dumping. So I got Fletcher Cox in front
of me. I'm from Mississippi, well born Mississippi, so everybody
always told me about hey Fletcher Cox, man, you're gonna
have to go get go to the league. This is
the first person I go against ever ever and uh,

(11:37):
I think that adrenaline was kicked in because I was bald.
That was That was probably the craziest I ever felt.
And then like two weeks later, my first negative one
was Buffalo were playing Buffalo and they put me on
the left side. Never played left, tried to do outside zone. Dude,

(11:59):
long army me into the running back.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Woo.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
That was the first time I ever got like just
man handled. That was like that album broke.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Like crazy, that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Well to go off that.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
My welcome to the NFL moment was Week seventeen of
my rookie year. We had a couple of safeties that
got hurt and I ended up getting put into the
game and it was it was like second down near
the middle of the field. I have a flashback up.
What that means is I have an opportunity. I'm a
free player, right, so they run like a little switch concept.

Speaker 4 (12:30):
I'm a free player.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
I ended up flashing back right into the right into
the window where Gino.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Smith threw it.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
I catch it right, And what they tell you never
to do is don't catch it and look back, And
that's exactly what I did. I caught it, look back
and when I when I caught it, I looked back
in my knee.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
The ball comes down and my knee.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Hits the ball and the ball goes flying up like
twenty yards right. So I'm like in my mind, I'm
like nah, just like I'm knowing, like I mess this
up like this, it's overward like it was gonna be
a pick six, like easy, Like nobody was near me.
So the ball hits my knee, it flies up twenty yards.
I'm scrambling for it. Gino Smith comes over. I get
hit by the lineman. They ended up recovering the ball.
But they called it. They called it. They didn't call

(13:06):
it fumble. They call it incomplete. So I was like, Okay, then, God,
at least we can still get off the field. But
that was my welcome to the NFL moment. So I
was like, I will forever remember that because I'm like, oh,
that was gonna be a pick six my first game
really playing.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
I can't get the.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Big eyes get bright.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
But thank you guys so much. I appreciate you guys
for coming on. Kevin Dotson, Jonah Jackson, thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
For coming on.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
This is right on Q presented by a bud Light,
Easy to drink, easy to enjoy. Appreciate you guys and
see you guys next time.
