ആ റോഡിന് ഇരുവശത്തും കുറച്ചു വീടുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാവർക്കും തിരക്കല്ലേ, ആരും നേരിട്ട് കാണാറുകൂടിയില്ല. വല്ലപ്പോഴും പുറത്തേക്കിറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ ആരെങ്കിലും പരസ്പരം കണ്ടാൽ കണ്ടു.  മിണ്ടിയാൽ മിണ്ടി. ചിരിച്ചാൽ ചിരിച്ചു. അത്ര തന്നെ. പക്ഷെ ആ വീടുകളുടെ മതിലുകളിലുള്ള വള്ളിച്ചെടികളും പൂക്കളുമൊക്കെ നല്ല കൂട്ടായിരുന്നു. ഈ വീട്ടുകാരൊക്കെ പരസ്പരം ഒരു സ്‌നേഹവുമില്ലാതെ ജീവിക്കുന്നതിൽ അവർക്ക് ലേശം വിഷമവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഒരിക്കൽ ആ ചെടികളിലേക്ക് വിരുന്നു വരുന്ന പൂമ്പാറ്റകളും തേനീച്ചകളും ഈ കഥയൊക്കെ അറിഞ്ഞു. ഈ വീട്ടുകാരെയൊക്കെ ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കാൻ എന്താ വഴി? കഥ കേൾക്കൂ 

There were a few houses on either side of that road. Everyone was so busy, they barely even saw each other directly. If someone happened to step outside, they might catch a glimpse of each other. A brief word, a quick smile, and that was the extent of their interaction. But the climbing plants and flowers on the walls of those houses were truly good companions. They even felt a little sad that the residents lived without any affection for each other. One day, the butterflies and bees that came to visit these plants learned all about this situation.
