Há cerca de um mês que o furacão das tarifas americanas atinge praticamente todo o mundo, com especial destaque para as bolsas que nos últimos dias tiveram fortes quedas. Os investidores receiam uma contaminação do sistema financeiro global, problemas de solvabilidade dos bancos, esmagamento do crédito e uma quebra de confiança económica generalizada que pode levar a uma grande recessão. Até agora, Donald Trump não mostrou receio destes efeitos e continua determinado numa guerra comercial norte-americana que tem também uma forte vertente orçamental, financeira, monetária, cambial e até geoestratégica. Esta quarta-feira, só o anúncio da suspensão das tarifas adicionais com os países que mostraram querer negociar, deu algumas tréguas a esta guerra várias frentes. Mas nada indica que Donald Trump vá desistir e que tudo volta a ficar como estava anteriormente. Nestes tempos de incerteza só uma coisa podemos afirmar: depois deste mês de março de 2025, nunca mais o mundo será o mesmo. Como vai Portugal posicionar-se?
