For over 20 years, Steep Film Society has been bringing world cinema, arthouse favourites and award-winning films to our corner of Hampshire. Based in the heart of the village, the society offers a regular programme of screenings that bring the community together to enjoy films you may not find in the multiplex.
Shine Radio’s Laura Sheppard spoke with the Chair of Steep Film Society about the history of the group, how films are chosen, and why audiences keep coming back. From the sociable atmosphere to the joy of shared viewing, it’s clear that this community cinema is about much more than just the films.
