Speaker 1 (00:00):
Listen, you know what we should do.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
We should This is a perfect segue to what we
have a girls trip coming up. We do and on
this girl's trip, of course, we're going to be poured
into y'all and letting y'all know all the ways that
you are amazing and not to be taking no trash
from from nobody. But we got to talk about a
girl's trip etiquette because me and you learned this quick

(00:23):
in a ruber. What what type of travelers are we?
When it's time to turn up? It's time to turn up?
You want to go on an excursion. Let's go on
an excursion.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Do you need a nap? Let's take a nap.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
When you mix the friend group and you travel with
the wrong people, the trip ain't gonna go the where
you think. It's no, it's not no. There's always that
one person who well, I only.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Got one to do.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
I don't want to do nothing.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
You should say thank you? Why did you should have
stayed at the house? Why did you come? Because they
knew that you was going. You gotta watch people that's
using you too, because people will come on the trip knowing.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
No wait, say oh girl, I got you don't worry
about this.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yes, I got your girl, and it's my third day
getting you. I'm about to get your head. I'm about
to get in about like why are you out here
with no money?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
So yeah, I just think like when it comes to
your friends group, you gotta be able to decipher who
can handle it because all them personalities don't always work together.
You gotta know who's a chameleon in your who can
get along with anybody like you gotta know that person
who is possessive over you. Because some people have friends
who are possessive over them and cannot see them interacting
with anyone but them.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
They get jealous.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Don't invite her please, like she gonna be mad at
every little thing, y'all. Do somebody talking to your friends
too long? You got upset.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
You got the one, like she said, that's broke. You
got the one that.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Is man hungry going because they and see them, the
ones that I have you in a weird location being
comfortably proposition by somebody because oh they're buying us strengths
or oh they're getting us in this sestion, and the
men centered women are going to forever terrify the hell

(02:08):
out of me. It's not that men aren't great and
we don't love them and need them. But if your
entire existence it's because of a man, girl, go to hell.
You've got to go, and I mean, don't even pass.
Go all, collect two hundred dollars, Go straight there.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
I'm telling you, go straight there. Gotta stop doing that.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
But yeah, them them friends groups, y'all gotta I'm blaming
you because you knew, you knew your you know your friends,
and you invited them all here for this.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
To be a disaster.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
And then my birthday is.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Rum didn't go.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
You know, you know you wanted to ruin the birthday.
You wanted a ruin birthday. You you thought.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
People was gonna hold it. You ain't never seen these.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
People hold it together in any other setting. You thought
they was gonna do that for you.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Right, No facts, facts, You've seen how these people have
operated time and time again, and you thought that this
scenario was change. That's delusional, delusion, that's delusional. Yeah, so
make sure your girlfriends is on the same page. Because
I'm I'm not a person. I don't have a whole
lot of friends anyway, but the two or three that
I have, I know that I can put them in
a room and it won't be fireworks. Yes, I have

(03:09):
friends that aren't jealous and aren't insecure, and they have
their own things going on, and so we're able to
exist in the space where you know, everybody's just having
a good time and it really is about.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
The fun and the experience and the journey and all
that stuff.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
So I think that just making sure be careful how
you mix the friend groups, because if you remember that
one situation, like I was trying to stay clear baby, yeah,
never again.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
But I like her. I like to go on the ride.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I actually like her and I love her all the
time because I think she's over to death once again.
I'm a chameleon, though I am a famelion who can
get along.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Well. It might be different if the situation happened.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
That is true, I would, but I still would like
her because I was just like she was told up.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Like I cannot hold that she was told up. I
can't hold that again.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
And I said, my thing is, I'm just not gonna
put you all in the room together no more. It's
actually very simple.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
It's actually very simple for me and the people you
know that does.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Now that I'm thinking about it people that want all
their friends to interact.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
That's annoying.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
It's so annoying. We don't all have to have to
get along. Come on now, Barney, and that's not somebody
that I think y'all will hit it all. And now
we're hitting each other exactly.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Yeah, we're really hitting it on you.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Look what you've done. Now I'm doing twenty by the
life made up food.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Tell me what girl out here in another country being
held for bond that we don't have.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
In a different currency.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Like you got to be careful on these girls trips
and you got to make sure that it makes sense absolutely,
But all that to promote ours and to come, we're
not gonna be doing a food We ain't. We don't
even tolerate having that. And to be honest, I'm not
gonna hold you. If you go out there and get
locked up, that's you press on you.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
That's not a me.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Problem because I won't because I'm not myself like that
jail and thank you, and I'm not going to use
my money to get you out because I feel like
that's what you wanted to do.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
If you go to Thailand and get locked up, you
want to be putting.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
You didn't have your own bailment, a man hold, because
that's from sure where you're going to be, and a
man hold somewhere, that's what you want to send a
shoe bot.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
I would not suggest you do that.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Hold that anger till you get back on us soil, right,
what is that about? But then and then remember that
you have stuff to lose. Yes, but that's not something
that we're trying to do anyway. But March fourteenth through

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
