Speaker 1 (00:16):
News Talk eleven ten ninety nine to three WBT. It's
the Brett Waterbows Show. It is great to be with
you as we gather together at this time. And our
telephone number as always seven oh four five seven zero
eleven ten. You can also hit us up the WBT
text line driven by Liberty Buick. GMC had a wonderful
outing this afternoon, spending time with the great folks, the

(00:41):
great folks over at the Jesse Helm Center and we
were we were delighted to be able to spend time
with Ted Budd. Senator Ted Budd came in and I
had the honor, the high honor and distinct pleasure to
to do an interview with him talk about all of
the stuff that's going on in Washington, DC. Absolutely phenomenal, great,

(01:06):
great analysis. It was really really wonderful. We'll talk about
that a little bit later on in the program, but
I just cannot be happy enough to be honored to
be at that program. So thank you very much. And
I gotta tell you, Jeff Atkinson does a tremendous job
with putting that stuff together. And again, Senator Ted Budd,

(01:27):
an absolute wonderful conversation and we got a lot of
clarity about all the challenges that we are facing in
this country. But what do you know? What do you know?
Suddenly out of the box, Gavin Newsom. Gavin Newsom, he
is the worst politician maybe in American history, and it's

(01:51):
because he is so in love with himself he cannot
love the country. Gavin Newsom has broken his silence after
earning point event at UC Berkeley turned chaotic. Now that's
that's the headline over at the Fox News channel. And
to me, I feel like I feel like what we're

(02:11):
what we're actually seeing in that regard, Okay, when we
when we have this headline, Newsom breaks silence on violent
Berkeley protest of TPUSA at a California university. No, these
people were attempting to harm maybe kill supporters. That is

(02:32):
not acceptable. And I'm telling you, I am. My promise
to you from now until the end of the twenty
twenty eight news cycle is that I will every day
call out Gavin Newsom because he is unworthy to be
anything but the huckster that he is in California, full stop.

(02:54):
I lived under him. I lived under him for at
least fifteen years before or before I got out of there.
Newsom has broken his silence. Several arrests were made at
Berkeley on Monday night and two days after agitators those
are not agitated. Those were terrorists. Those were street terrorists.

(03:15):
Two days after what they call agitators violently disrupted a
TPUSA event in Berkeley, California, the state's governor, Gavin Newsom,
broke his silence and spoke out on the matter through
a spokes person. So he went not by himself, He
went with the spokes holes. That's what the technical term is.

(03:39):
They are the spokes holes. Violence is not a legitimate
exercise of First Amendment rights. A spokes hole said for
Newsom's office told Fox News Digital on Wednesday afternoon, while
people have the right to protest, it must be done peacefully.

(03:59):
Does that include dude, a dude called jihad bashing people
over the head with weaponry? Is that what that is?
Is that what you call peaceful protest? Newsom's office pointed
out that the majority of demonstrators peacefully protested, with six
arrests out of a total of more than nine hundred,
that is laughable. That is a holler right there, That

(04:22):
is a screamer right there. You gotta be kidding me.
There were only six people that were involved in this
out of more than nine hundred, and the agitators were
controlled by state and local law enforcement. The incident unfolded
Monday night on the campus of UC Berkeley at a

(04:43):
Turning Point event featuring actor Rob Schneider and of course,
author Frank Turek, a Christian mentor of the organization's late founder,
Charlie Kirk. Left wing agitators formed Zellerback Hall where the event,

(05:04):
which was the last stop on this is the Turning
Point tour, was held for students at the university were arrested.
Will they be expelled? Will they be jettisoned? Will they
be put out? To see? What are we going to
do with these four? The Daily Californian, which omitted the

(05:28):
suspect's names for its report, They were described as females
between the ages of twenty and twenty two. Each was
reportedly charged with felony vandalism. So I'm hoping they're going
to be bounced into the jail. In fact, Pambondy pambond
I am calling on Pambondi to find these people and

(05:49):
to prosecute them at the federal level. If this is
how it's going to be. Then what we have to
do is prosecute these people in the federal court. Remember
what they did on January sixth. Everybody got rounded up,
round up the usual suspects. If they're wearing a Maga hat,

(06:10):
they're going to prison, right, that's what they were talking about.
The UC Berkeley Police Department confirmed that other men were
arrested during the night's activities. Wait, wait, hold on, do
we know they were men? Are you misg are you misgendering?
I'm thinking maybe you're maybe misgendering a little bit here?
How do we know? I mean, look, the name, of

(06:30):
course was Christopher Joseph Benton. You know what they say
about three names always the dangerous ones. Forty eight, who
is unaffiliated with the school, was arrested for trespassing, resisting
or obstructing an officer, and being unlawfully present on campus,
all misdemeanors. That's why we need to jack them up.

(06:52):
Jay Eduardo, my Torona, My Torino. They still make to
renos grand Torinos. I don't remember that. He's twenty two
listed as a current or former student. Oh, he identifies
as both. Was arrested for trespassing and resisting or obstructing

(07:15):
an officer. Several of the skirmishes at the event went viral. Well,
you're going to catch a lot of viruses if you're
over there in Berkeley, including a man who caught a
video beating I mean, this is something, isn't it okay?
So pambody, I want you to round these people up.
I want you to put them in jail, and I

(07:36):
want you to deny them bail because we cannot run
the risk that they may try to flee and defect
to New York News Talk eleven, ten ninety nine to

(07:58):
three WBTRO Winnable Show seven o four five seven eleven ten.
Let's uh, let's grab this call from Ralph. Welcome to
the show, Ralph well Bred.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
It is always a privilege to talk to you and
get your input on this. But what I would like
to see is a bunch of youth like up at
you and c that got around that flagpole and confronted this.
So every time we have one of these ANTIFA demonstrations,
I'd like to see about four charter buses pull off

(08:30):
with true blooded, red blooded patriots, young men, and I
would I would help finance them, and I would even
join them. But you know, their parents, that's antifate. Their
parents didn't teach them a lesson when they were growing up.
And you know, we I know, we have laws and
stuff like that, but some people are thick skull and

(08:51):
you know, just you've got to drill into their brain
and defeat this ideology. You know, it's just I'm sick
of it. Man. That guy that got jihad, he ought
to get charged with the hate crime. He ripped a
necklace off with the guy's cross on it.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Yes, all that guy was doing was going.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Around talking about Jesus. So yeah, this should be a
federal crime. It should be a hate crime. And uh,
you know, I'm just I don't not really both violence,
but we we need teach these young people a lesson.
And you know, there's a broad brush to paint with

(09:33):
what needs to be done.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Yeah, no, you're right about You're right about that, Ralph.
But here's the thing. If you're going to go into
hostile territory, you have to expect to be treated in
a hostile fashion, right, I mean, that's that's sort of
what what what people would expect. And so as a consequence,
I would I would like to see you no professional
people who are in the business of security going in

(09:57):
there and and and setting up a cordon, and and
as as much as you know these people want to
try to jump ugly and do things like that, well
you know what, if you've got private security, you can
you can you know, let the sheriff know or somebody else,
and you can say, listen, take that guy in, that guy,
that guy you know hit somebody did something, whatever it is.
We we too much believe that that order goes away

(10:23):
when Antifa shows up. No, that's not the case. We
can go anywhere in the country we want. That is
our that is our birthright. We can go into any neighborhood,
any place, anytime. However, and so the problem is the
Antifa stuff and the nonsense that they pull. They they
they they just want to look like they're doing something.

(10:47):
At the end of the day, these are LARPers. These
guys are goofy and and silly and playing games and
doing stuff like that. The fact of the matter is
Berkeley is a is a is a disputed piece of territory.
And as far as I'm concerned with fifty million people
in the state of California or whatever it is, we
have the right to go anywhere you want in the

(11:08):
state of California because you're in the United States of America.
And that's the way I come down on this. I
would just I would just have I would just have
much more up armored security when people are going into
these into these events, and that that's you know, you
fight you fight power with power exactly.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Well, you know we're already seeing results with the Trumps
and and the National Guardians. They had to day what
Burner was now thirteen percent all areas of crime. Yes,
by these poles were going down. So it does work.
And the Democrats, just like Reagan said, he said, you know,
they know so much that is not true, and they

(11:47):
live in utopia to stay in power and let and
see these idiots this garbage and they take it and
they believe it, and you know it's it's it's prostrate.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Yeah, thank you, Ralph. I appreciate the call. And again
just to Rea to just to re emphasize, it's not
about student on student. It's about security being deployed with
the cordon that allows people to come and attend an event.

(12:20):
That's what it is. Look, the Democrats are very practiced
with this right because we remember what happened in the
bad old days. And by the bad old days, I
mean the days of slavery. Remember you had the KKK
formed because they didn't want African Americans to have their
full rights. Well, antifas basically the same thing. They do

(12:41):
not want to have people have their full rights. That's
what it is. Tyrants will always do that. Hintler did that,
Stalin did that, Mao did that, Paul Pott did that.
You know, any of these people are are flying under
that same banner. The banner is not a banner of freedom.

(13:01):
The banner is a banner of tyranny. And the only
reason why they're going out and beating up a couple
of college kids is because is because the security is
not there. And you know, there are people, there are
very wealthy people in this country who could certainly pony
up the dollars and allow a security cordon right there

(13:24):
on the on the quad or wherever it is, and
then the folks can be given the they can be
given speeches, they can be doing their stuff and all that,
and then you just shut it down at the end
of the night and everybody goes home. And ANTIFA can
you know, they can they can antify themselves whatever that is.
That's that's the problem. Okay, you get to you get
to talk. We get to talk. That's how we go.

(13:47):
We talk. Now, we don't hit, You don't hit. And
that's the way it's got to be. People who think
they can settle their differences with violence are and I'm
just going to try to be very, very tactful with this.
These are immature humans who cannot express themselves in any

(14:09):
other way. Think of a three year old, think of
a temper tantruming two and a half year old. They
have not the ability to articulate in a cogant way,
so they try to destroy things, throw things, do those
sorts of things. We have to just pat them on

(14:31):
the head and maybe recommend them for some counseling. If
you're twenty five years old or forty five years old
or sixty five years old and you're still looking to
go and beat somebody over the head with a weapon
or your hands, well we have to teach you the
proper way. We need to re educate these folks in

(14:54):
the proper way of making an argument. And I think
you could probably do that very easily. It's not that
hard to do you just say, listen, hands down, mouth open,
mouth closed, hands down, and we just teach him that.
We could just make a recording and teach them, and
teach them, and teach them and teach him. Because the
idea of going in and beating somebody up because you

(15:16):
don't like their opinion, yeah, that should be a direct
line right to the rubber room. That's what I think.
Because if you are twenty seven years old and you
cannot articulate a conversation, a rebuttal, an argument, any of
that sort of stuff, you're in the wrong game. You

(15:39):
need to learn more manners. We might be able to
get miss manners. I don't think she's busy right now.
Lord knows. We don't really have many manners. News Talk

(16:01):
eleven ten, nine, nine to three WBT Brett Water will show.
Good to be with you. Let's jump out and talk
to Michael. Michael, welcome to the program. What's on your mind?

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Thank you? Thank you. Back when I was growing up,
if you had a disagreement somebody, you talked it out. Yes,
you may sling a fist or two, but guns now
with fourteen and fifteen year olds, they don't even think
about the consequence. Yep, they pull them out, they shoot somebody,
and they're gonna get caught and they're gonna go to prison.

(16:28):
They don't even think about it. It just blows my mind.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
It is. It is crazy when you think about this permanent,
this permanent answer to a to a troubling situation. You know,
when you think about that, I mean, there's so much
to live for, and you know, if you don't like somebody,
just get away from them. I mean, that's that's always
been what I've been told, you know, just you don't
like somebody, get away from and move on down the line.
You know. That's that's a great take there, Michael, Michael,

(16:53):
I appreciate that that call. As you heard with breaking
Bret Jensen in that in that update just a few
minutes ago, the Border Patrol and ICE agents might be
heading from Charlotte from Chicago to North Carolina. The new
report from CNN is suggesting that the Border Patrol agents
might be leaving Chicago and heading towards North Carolina. CNN,

(17:17):
citing three United States officials familiar with the planning, says
that the top Border Patrol official, Gregory Bavino, and his
agents are eyeing Charlotte. So if they're eyeing Charlotte and
hypothetically if they come to Charlotte, let me ask a
question of this audience. Do you think there will be

(17:40):
protests like what you've seen in Chicago or any of
the other places. I have a feeling that the response
here would probably be closer to what we saw when
Memphis had had the sweeping coming in, and that was

(18:01):
obviously not illegal immigrants. That was people going after bad
guys and murderers and people like that. But I just
wonder what the response would be the challenge that you have,
and I mean, this is a very important thing to
think about. Like I've you guys know, I've lived in
a bunch of different places, and some of the places

(18:24):
where I have lived have been very close quarters. Some
of the places I have lived have been very spread out, right,
like southern California. And you can kind of try to
run raids in places like southern California because it's wide,
it's big, there's a lot of space, there's a lot
of places where you can do raids or if you

(18:46):
wanted to do however it was going to be. But
if you think about, like, Okay, what is Charlotte. Charlotte
is a fairly congested area. And I'm not saying that
in an kind of a disrespectful way, but if you're
thinking about going to run raids, and you probably would

(19:08):
have an idea in your mind what neighborhoods might be
looked at, might be surveiled, might be those things. But
you have to understand when you're going to go into
certain neighborhoods you might get blowback. But more than that,
you have to be very strategic because you've got people

(19:29):
who are getting up in the morning and they're going
to work. The roads are congested, the highways are congested,
the freeways are congested. I mean all that sort of stuff, right,
But you also have people going on school buses and
people dropping their kids off at school and things like that.
It's a very difficult sort of operation to run. You

(19:54):
have to have the manpower to go in and arrestugitives
or arrest people who are on a deportation list. That's
number one. Number two, you have to wonder what the
cost is going to be, not not money cost, but
the attempt in these neighborhoods. You're going to have people

(20:16):
who are going to be driving around hanking the horns
like you've been seeing in you know, Chicago, and seeing
in in Portland and all those sorts of places. This
is going to be a very interesting kind of thing
because if you if you go back about two three
months ago, maybe four months ago, remember that raid that
took place in California at the pot farm, because you can,

(20:40):
you know, you can you can sell weed in in California.
Right It's like it's the first place where people were
getting high all the time, and you can go in
there and you can run that raid, and that raid
is kind of spread out, but then suddenly you're going
to get reinforcements coming the other way. How do you
solve and I'm not trying to say don't don't pick

(21:00):
up bad guys, but how do you solve for for
people who are intermingled but not but not responsible for
what's going on. That's the challenge you have to deal
with there. It's it's it's sort of and I'm sorry,

(21:20):
but this is this is the word I'm gonna use,
and you guys can take it or leave it. It's
almost like trying to unwind an insurgency. Like you think
about all that went on in the war on terror, Right,
So you think about going door by door, place by place.

(21:41):
You know, you think about all that stuff that went
on in Afghanistan, in Iraq and to an extent, Afghanistan.
But you know, you think about having to kick doors
and go in and you don't know what's on the
other side of that door, and you don't know how
this is gonna go, and you don't know where people
are gonna be, you know, flying out the back door,
running someplace else, getting in somebody's house, whatever it is.

(22:03):
Those are the challenges that that you're looking at dealing with.
And you know, you you going in there, that's a
really hard thing to do because at some point you're
gonna have a tipping point. You you have to hit fast,
and you have to hit directly, and then you have
to get out immediately. You can't stay around, at least

(22:26):
from what I see, at least from from all that
that that I have seen. And it's a it's a
it's a tough challenge to try to understand how it
is that you can make this a much safer opportunity
because remember, there are going to be bad guys, bad
people who are going to utilize innocence, innocent people to

(22:51):
be their shields, and that that is something that you
certainly do not want to see happen. Hey, Charlotte, nothing
says joy like a kid getting a new bike for Christmas.
And it's time for Hancocks Bikes for Kids. Please consider

(23:16):
bringing a new bike to WBT on Friday, December fifth
from five to nine pm. The wbteam will be there
to thank you for your generous donation. It's the thirty
second annual WBT Hancock's Bikes for Kids, benefiting kids first

(23:36):
of the Carolinas, presented by Garage Door Doctor, Friday December
fifth from five to nine pm. Visit WBT dot com
for detail. George, Welcome to the program. What's on your mind? George?

Speaker 4 (23:55):
Are you gonna go to hell for running?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Cover up?

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Why that guy? Hang up? That's weird. I don't man.
I want to take a moment for George or Chester.
George or Chester or Franklin or Dwayne or Steve or

(24:22):
those are all the names that this guy uses. And
I got you. I know from the moment you say
the first word. I know who you are.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
Like.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
You could be a jewel thief and I can hear you.
I can hear your voice? So nice try That's all
I've got to say. Listen to this. This guy's probably
excited about this, by the way. Cut number ten. This

(24:56):
is unbelievable. No Christmas or New Year's in New York City. Yes,
the Islamists are saying it. Cut ten go over.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
Twenty five hundred police officers resign this year.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
A record number any more cowbo one of the main.

Speaker 6 (25:19):
Reasons they gave, but supposedly any main overtime hours due
to these protimes.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
These don't I take a time at your time? How
many of y'all would come out on.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Christmas Day and ruin their Christmas? So if y'all are done,
we're gonna pick over Christmas.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
And New Year's too. We're just gonna let these.

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Comes, these politicians.

Speaker 6 (25:47):
These ignorant people, these media companies in toy these holidays.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Yes, why is my DOMMI putting these people out in
the street like that and saying those things? Because I mean,
he's obviously the guy who's in charge. He's obviously the
guy that's in charge, So like, why would you why
would they want to cancel Christmas? I will take four
exactly four phone calls on this will you four go

(26:19):
Christmas and New Year's seven oh four, five, seven oh
eleven ten. Remember these are Islamists. These are the people,
the radicals who want you to not have Christmas, who
want you to not have New Years, that want you
to not even I mean, my gosh, what is this?
What is that? How did we lose a war? Did

(26:41):
we lose a war? Do we need to liberate New
York City? Do we have to put everybody that we
can and go into New York City and celebrate Christmas
and celebrate New Year's? Is that what we have to do?
Because I mean, let me let you hear it again.
Cut number ten, fire it up. This is atrocious.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Go just police officers resign this year a record number.

Speaker 6 (27:16):
One of the main reasons they gave, but supposedly and
you made overtime hours.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Due to these protests. I take a scot your time.
How many of y'all would come out.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
On Christmas Day and ruin their Christmas? If y'all are done,
we're gonna click over Christmas and New Year's too.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
We're not gonna let these.

Speaker 5 (27:43):
Cops, these politicians, these ignorant people, these media companies enjoy
these holidays.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
Christmas yet.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Nice try. It's actually not canceled. It's actually not canceled.
It's actually going to be selebrated in a massive way.
Nobody's ever seen how massive this is going to be
the celebration you you are, You are destined to fail.
You are destined if you want to try to take
Christmas away from the American people, if you want to

(28:16):
try to take Christmas away from believers, if you want
to give away and get rid of New Year's and
all that that includes, not the least of which is
the Bowl Games. What are you doing? Do not, do
not try this.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Do not.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
You will lose. You will you will lose. I'm telling
you right now, you will l O O s E lose.
That's that's three o's, that's three o's. I just this,
This is, this is this is ridunculous. What are we doing? Well?

(28:56):
You know who's not on board? Kathy Hokeel Paige Kathy
Hochel Cut thirteen. She kneecaps Mandami check this out cut thirteen. Gup.

Speaker 7 (29:05):
But energetic rally does not get me to change my positions,
I assure you. But I do hear people's voices. I
process what everybody says. But I'm also have to balance
governing this state and making sure that those people who
are actually the reason we have a generous, supportive budget

(29:27):
that helps lift people up. It's their revenues that we tax.
One and a half percent of New Yorkers cover about
a third.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Of our budget. That's enormous.

Speaker 7 (29:36):
I'm concerned about out migration of people who are the
ones who are supporting our budget. I cannot make up
for that with middle class tech increases. I cannot do
that to the middle class and the struggling New Yorkers.
So this is the balance, I mean, this is my position.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Yeah, so she knows where the butt is where where
the bread is buttered or the butt is better. It
could be the bread is buttered, or it could be
the bud is breaded. I would not want to have
bud that's breaded. That it doesn't take. That doesn't seem
to be like a great option. But again, remember, ladies

(30:12):
and gentlemen. If you heard them saying that they're going
to cancel Christmas and New Year's, remember real Americans are
celebrating no matter what. That's what we have to remember, folks,
That's what we have to remember. Let me go to it,
Josh Hawley cut number nine. This is one heck of

(30:32):
a clip when it comes to the United States of America.
Cut nine.

Speaker 8 (30:36):
Democrats are actually now complaining and whining and fighting each
other over the fact that they didn't inflict enough pain.
This supposed party of the working class, that's what they
tell each other all the time, is now out there saying, gee,
we really should make people suffer more. Forty two million
Americans have not been able to get food, assistants needy

(30:57):
people for the last month because the Democrats want to
get health care the illegals. And now they're out there saying, gee,
we really wish they would have suffered more. We wish
our veterans would have not been able to get healthcare
for even longer. We wish air travel would have been
worse for even longer. This party has totally lost its way,
shan and totally lost its moral bearing. And I tell

(31:17):
you what, this is an opportunity for Republicans. You said
it just a second ago. We are the party now
of the working class. We are the party of the
that is the conscience of this country. And now it's
time for us to leave because the lead, because the
Democrats have lost the plot one.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
News Talk eleven ten nine at nine three WBT. It's
the Brettwiterble Show. It is great to be with you
seven oh four five seven zero eleven ten seven oh
four five seven zero eleven ten. If you wish to opine,
if you want to jump in and uh look at
you know, any of the big stories that are out
there moving. Did you guys see the northern lights last
night dancing above the US? There will be more tonight,

(32:24):
but I don't think we're gonna be able to see
it here. I think what where it's going to be
is going to be further north. But that's pretty cool.
I do think that's pretty cool when you when you
kind of look at uh at at that sort of occasion,
especially when it's not common where you're at, you know,

(32:46):
that's that's one of the things that's that's interesting. Also,
the US Mint in Philadelphia is pressing the final pennies
as the one cent coin gets canceled. Are they gonna
have to well wait, probably not because is there anything
you can buy for a penny? Like they don't have

(33:08):
penny candy anymore, They don't have penny any of that stuff, Like,
what are we doing with it. Now, don't get into
the half sense sales tax, because if you if you
have to cut that in half, that's a very difficult job.
What are they gonna do with all of it?

Speaker 4 (33:26):
Like?

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Where are all the pennies gonna go? Here's here's here's
what I think we should do with the pennies. We
should we should find a mountain. Okay, we should find
a mountain and we should bore into a mountain some
somewhere where nobody's really doing anything with it. Fill the

(33:50):
entire supply of pennies, stuff them in the mountain. Okay,
then seal it up and I know we'll never know
what happens, but it will be so cool in like
seven thousand years when somebody goes and like goes digging

(34:11):
and it's like, what are these? Oh my gosh, this
is unbelievable. See. I feel like America, broadly speaking, the
Western culture has lost its set collective sense of humor.
Everybody's mad all the time. And this would be so
great if you control people three thousand years from now,

(34:34):
because they'd be like, what were these four? Who were these?
How is this? What I would do? Is I think
I would I would do that and I would just
leave with the pennies one unopened container of caprice son
because you can do that kind of stuff like people

(34:55):
do not. There was there was a time, once upon
a time when we would have you know, the sort
of things let's go berry, let's go bury in the
parking lot, the different sort of things that you want
to put away, and then they find it and they go, oh, wow,
look at this. This is amazing. This is a newspaper

(35:16):
from nineteen eighty nine.

Speaker 9 (35:21):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Who knew that? Wow? I mean it's I really feel
like we should be trolling people in the future. We
think about how freaked out we got with the three
Ia Atlas. That thing's been flying for ten billion years,
that thing's been that thing's been out there for ten

(35:43):
billion years, and what do we have people freaking out? Well,
let's freak out the next generations, like, really freak them out.
All we need to do is get the weekly World news. Okay,
and the Bill Clinton is is fishing with the alien?

(36:03):
Do you remember that very famous one? People had t
shirts of that. That's what you want to put in
there with the coins, because they'll be like, this must
have been the king of the coins. This must have
been a bunch of copper. What did they use copper for?

Speaker 10 (36:19):
Now?

Speaker 1 (36:19):
They don't put them on your eyes when you die.
Stop that that's not right. Come on now, I'm just saying,
is all. That's all I'm saying, Brian, Welcome to the program.
What's on your mind?

Speaker 10 (36:29):
Brian?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Hey, so I wanted to talk about the lady on
the megaphone.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
The lady on the megaphone.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
Okay, yeah, yeah, the one talking about Christmas in New Year's.

Speaker 1 (36:39):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, go ahead please Okay.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
So it sounds like to me what she was saying
was that they're proud of themselves for making twenty five
hundred police officers quit. Yes, and so now what they
want to do is protests on Christmas days say that
more police officers would actually quit, yes, because they have
to work on Christmas Day. So it's not that she

(37:02):
was canceling Christmas, even though I agree she probably wants to.
But it sounds like their intent is to get rid
of police officers. So I'm wondering why they want to
get rid of police officers.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Okay, so you're a smart guy. Why do you think
they want to get rid of police officers?

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Well, they want to do what they want, right, But
I mean she also didn't like the media, which I
find hard to believe, or politicians.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Right, yes, and what are you concluding? I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
I really don't know what they want to do. I mean,
so no police, no media, no politicians. What are they
wanting to do.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
I think they just want anarchy. I think that's what
they want. I think they just want to party. I
think they want to party like it's nineteen ninety nine.
And unfortunately none of them were born then. And that's it. Thanks, Brian.
I appreciate the call. News Talk eleven ten, nine nine

(38:10):
to three WBT. It's the Brett Winterbles Show seven oh
four five seven zero eleven ten. Lots of big stuff
happening out there, a lot of story. So the White
House says October jobs and inflation data may never be released.
Why because Chuck Schumer shut the government down. There's so
much stuff that they got covered for. They have got

(38:30):
so much cover. I mean, it's really incredible the cover
that is going to happen here. But that's the way
the cookie crumbles. And this is why we can't have
nice things. I'm dead serious here. This is why we
can't have nice things because we have people who do
not want to take responsibility, do all that sort of stuff. Whatever.

(38:52):
It is, all right, So here's the bad news. Treasury
Secretary Scott Bessant hints at income limit on Trump's two
thousand dollars tariff checks. I had a plan for that money.
I already in fact, I already spent that money. Why

(39:15):
why am I now not going to be eligible for this?
This is terrible. I'm just kidding. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessont
revealed that the Trump administration has discussed restricting the president's
proposed two thousand dollars tariff dividend two families making less
than six figures. Wow, that's pretty generous. You're going as

(39:40):
much as six figures. Well, there are a lot of
options here that the president is talking about with a
two thousand dollars rebate, and those that would be for
families making less than say, one hundred thousand dollars. According
to Scott Bessant talking to Brian Kilbade on Fox and
Friends earlier today, we haven't bestn't clarified when asked if

(40:05):
the Trump administration decided on that limit. It's in a discussion.
But see President Trump is he likes to throw out
all these ideas and then he says, Okay, here's what
we're gonna do. We're gonna give some money to these people,
give some money to those people, all that sort of stuff.
Can I just make like one very small suggestion, Okay,
why do why would you want to send money to

(40:28):
other people like this? Because don't you understand what is
going to happen? Even if it's two thousand dollars, do
you understand what's going to happen. You are going to
have and I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news,
You're gonna have inflation. You start throwing money out of
the mattress, you start throwing money out of the helicopter.

(40:49):
That causes inflation. If we're trying to fight inflation, we
should be tightening things. Actually, what we should be doing
with these tariff rebates should be going down to pay
down the debt, which is what we should be doing.
We should be like, hey, okay, all these countries are
gonna fund our ability to pay down the debt. And
I know that's not a sexy thing, and I know

(41:11):
that that's not a reasonable thing or anything like that,
But I mean, come on, what happens when we threw
money out with the Biden administration. We had massive inflation.
You had like I mean, admittedly it was like one
point seven trillion dollars, which is a lot of money.
But why are we Why are we throwing this out
and saying, yeah, we'll just send it out to everybody.

(41:34):
Why why would you want to do that? I mean,
I understand why he wants to do it. I guess
it's sort of like, hey, everybody's gonna share in the winnings.
I think it would be more effective to take that
money and to say, Okay, here's what we're gonna do.
We're going to take that money. And you are gonna

(41:55):
get I know, this is not gonna be sexy. People
are gonna get mad. You're gonna yell at me.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
I don't care.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
You. You need to say, hey, we're giving you a
two thousand dollars off your taxes. Boom bah boom. So
the money stays in the system, but you don't have
to pay you know, instead of paying six grand, you're
gonna pay four grand. And that's kind of a nice
way to do it, I would think. And it's you've

(42:23):
got the infrastructure already in place right now, where you
could index all the stuff where the money's going to go,
and you'd be able to figure out, Okay, what's the
cutoff point going to be? Hey, congratulations, here you go,
here's two thousand dollars off your taxes. Now, the obvious
question becomes, well, what if what if I don't owe

(42:43):
two thousand dollars, give them a credit? Put put it
as a credit for the next year. That's I mean, look,
that's that's a very reasonable thing to do. But unfortunately
it's not as sexy as just suddenly, boom, here's a
check and we can go and spend this money. Now again,
like I said, I worry about inflation. We've got an

(43:05):
inflation situation. You start pouring all that money in the system,
and then then you've got a problem. And then guess what.
Now we're back on the affordability crisis, and I want
to talk about the affordability crisis. Affordability is in crisis.
The solution you'll never own anything again. What why you

(43:30):
see these people who are trying to get the ability
to buy a house. You see what is going on there?
The markets have been sort of warped by the Biden administration,
and so we have a whole bunch of stuff that's
happening at the same time. And when we get back,
because I am going to break this down for you,

(43:51):
I can explain the problem we have. The problem we
have when it comes to not being able to buy
a house, not being able to do these certain thing
things not there are there are explanations for this. And
it doesn't occur right now. It didn't start today, it
didn't start two months ago, it didn't start two years ago.

(44:12):
It's been a thing for a while. It's been a
thing for a while, and I want to break it
all down for you, and I want to explain exactly
what the problem is that we're dealing with, because it
is a serious problem, and affordability is it's a sad
it's a sad reality. Because I want to see this

(44:32):
next generation flourish. I want you to have a house
or a condo or whatever it is you want. You
deserve that, that's that's the American dream. If we're going
to foreclose the American dream, then I think we ought
to take a vote in that regard. I think these
these people who are coming up deserve to be able
to get a place of their own and and to

(44:53):
be able to stay there. That that that is the dream,
by and large. Now maybe you disagree, and if you do,
I'd love to hear from you. There was talk eleven ten,

(45:16):
nine nine three WBT Brett Waterbow Show seven oh four
five seven oh eleven ten, lots of big stuff moving
out there as we Uh, I'm gonna I'm gonna let
you go back to this thing that we were just
talking about though with Scott Besant. All right, Scott Bessant
is sort of like a ninja, he really is he?
This guy, this guy has the ability to to swoop

(45:40):
people into a conversation that is of not not of
their making. Okay, so this is gonna be cut number.
Let's see here, I'm gonna go to cut number. Which
one is it to cut two? Scott Bessant. Yesterday over
at Morning Joe and Mike Barnacle thinks he's going to

(46:04):
run the Jedi mind trick on Scott Bessant. This is
cutting number two.

Speaker 11 (46:10):
Go yeah, and missus Secretary, I hope this question doesn't
piss you off.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Well, I don't know.

Speaker 9 (46:18):
It's four on one, which seems about right.

Speaker 11 (46:20):
Well, okay, yesterday the stock market took a pretty good
jump on news that the shutdown might come to an end.
A lot of people did very well on the stock market,
I assume, and I assume that you probably were one
of them, and good for you.

Speaker 9 (46:34):
That would be an incorrect assumption, because I had to
sell all my stocks to become Treasury secretary.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
You sold them all. Clue, yes, but you have a
blind trust.

Speaker 9 (46:42):
I would imagine there's no such thing as a blind trust.

Speaker 11 (46:45):
Okay, thanks, thanks for straightening me out on that.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
See, all right, let's talk about Scott Bessant talking to
Jonathan Lemere and uh a group of authorities there. This
is going to be cut number three. He gets it
wrong again, go cut three.

Speaker 9 (47:09):
Well, opportunity in Latin America to create allies. We just
saw on election in Bolivia. We're probably going to see
an election in Colombia. We've seen him in Ecuador, We're
going to see him in in the Chile. So by
stabilizing the economy there and making a profit, then that's

(47:31):
a very good deal for the American people. And there's
a lot we could have been doing for American farmers.
But Democrats close the government.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Oh, shots by it. I mean that was that's pretty good.
Scott Besson cut number one on affordability. Listen to this
cut number.

Speaker 9 (47:50):
One inherited an affordability crisis. We have slowed the price
increases down and they are going to continue to slow
down and that real working wages will go up and
that that will address the affordability issue. And you know,
I think this is what Democrats are afraid to do.
That They've gone to the courts to try to stop

(48:10):
President Trump in this great economy that hasn't worked. They
get overruled at Scotus. We go to the media who
carries their water. That hasn't worked. So they shut down
the government and hurt the economy. Let's keep the economy open,
let our policies kick in, and let's see if what
I just talked about. Let's see if those two lines
cross costs come down, real wages go up, and then

(48:33):
we can have an election next November.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
Okay, So why why are homes so expensive? Why are
they so expensive? Right now? This is what I wanted
to angle into here. Okay, there's a number of reasons
why it's difficult to get into a house. Inflation, the
Great Recession, all of those sorts of things, so like,
let's go accordingly. The Great Recession broke the housing machine.

(49:00):
After two thousand and eight, homebuilders pulled back hard, too hard.
They've underbuilt by millions of homes for over a decade,
and as a result, the demand kept growing, but supply didn't.
Cheap money fueled a buying frenzy. Interest rates were near

(49:23):
zero for years, mortgages were cheap, so buyers flooded the market.
Investors jumped into and they were chasing the yield in
real estate. But then something happened. We went from the
Great Recession to COVID. COVID was a problem as well.

(49:45):
COVID changed everything remote work, let people move anywhere, especially
in the South and in the West. Families wanted more space,
fewer roommates and home offices. Demand surged as supply chains
choked the construction. Institutional buyers added the pressure. Firms like

(50:07):
Blackrock and others bought homes as rental assets. They did
not cause the crisis, but in tight markets they made
it worse. Their buying power outpaces the regular families. What
else is the problem? And I was talking about this

(50:27):
with the Great Senator, your junior Senator there and it
was it was incredible to listen to how he was
breaking this down with Ted budd Right. Local zoning laws
are a hidden villain. Many cities ban duplexes, triplexes, or

(50:48):
small apartments that keeps neighborhoods exclusive and prices high. It's
not just economics, it's politics and its policy. Is it
Trump's fall? Well not exactly. Housing policy is mostly local
and long term. No single president caused this, but the

(51:10):
federal leadership matters on zoning and lending and incentives. So
how do we fix this problem? Build more housing, specially
missing middle duplexes, ADUs and town homes. We have to
reform zoning to allow density where people want to live.

(51:34):
You have to also incentivize affordable housing for first time
buyers and tax vacant homes held by speculators. You want
to get the supply to come in. Why it matters
to everyone here it is high housing costs drive inflation.

(51:56):
They limit mobility, entrepreneurship, and family formation. If we don't
fix this, we're going to see this next generation is
going to be locked out. We have got to work
on that. That is the sort of affordability that we
have got to work on your thoughts. Straight Ahead News

(52:26):
Talk eleven ten out of nine to three WBT Brett
Winterabule Show, good to be with you. Wow. Look at this.
The Trump Labor Secretary Lori Chavez Derimer is deploying every
tool to end H one B visa abuse. It's about time.
Nearly two hundred investigations into potential abuses of the H

(52:50):
one B visa program have been launched as part of
the Department of Labor's dl that's Department of Labor efforts
to combat discrimination against American workers. Agency officials revealed to Breitbart.
At the helm of the massive H one B fraud

(53:11):
initiative is Labor Secretary Lori Chavez Dreamer, who told Brypart
News that she is personally signing investigations, the first time
a secretary has done so in American history. What they
do before. We are deploying every tool at the Department's

(53:33):
disposal to root out H one B visa abuse and
safeguard high skilled American jobs. Chavez Dreamer told Brypart News,
I am committed to ensuring accountability with the H one
B visa with that process, which is why I am

(53:54):
personally certifying investigations. President Trump has made it clear that
American workers come first and will fulfill that mission. For years,
brightpart News has chronicled the widespread abuse and fraud within
the H one B visa program, where companies regularly layoff
American professionals after forcing them to train their H one

(54:17):
B visa replacements who arrive overwhelmingly from India with little
to no consequences for the federal investigators. India and China
have dominated H ONEB visa programs for decades. In twenty
twenty four, more than seven to ten H one B

(54:37):
visas approved by the federal government went to Indian nationals,
who are also predominantly male. Huh oh. Those Americans replaced
by visa workers are typically older, many women, and enjoy

(55:00):
seniority in their positions and its good benefit packages. Now
see that that is a heart breaking reality of a cold,
cruel world. Chavez Dereamer said that Department of Labor has
at least one hundred and seventy five ongoing investigations after

(55:21):
announcing the fraud and Abuse enforcement initiative Project Firewall in September.
When announcing the initiative, Chavez Dereamer highlighted the administration's commitment
to ending practices that leave Americans in the dust. Shortly

(55:44):
after President Trump signed the Proclamation authorizing the agencies to
reduce fraud and exclude foreign workers and careers starting jobs
needed by talented US graduates. Trump's Proclamation all so notably
imposed a one hundred thousand dollars one time fee on

(56:05):
H one B visa petitions. See this is how you
get around that problem. Because if you're going to impose
a one hundred thousand dollars one time fee of an
H one B visa gonna you're going to reduce the
number of people who are going to be vying for that,
or it's going to cost the companies, you know, massive
amounts of money. Far in H one B visas hired

(56:28):
at far lower wages than their American counterparts, cases where
the job locations for hired H one B visa workers
did not exist. H one B employers failing to notify
and work with the federal officials when the visa was terminated.
So these people just like walk around and then they

(56:48):
just go get another job, and nobody's checking any of
the stuff that needs to be looked at. It's pretty weird.
It's actually not weird. It's it's just companies trying to
do company things, you know. I mean, all all good
in that regard. I'm happy that they're going to try
to do that. As you heard yesterday, President Trump has

(57:10):
sent America's largest aircraft carrier to the Caribbean or Caribbean
if you wish, amid the rising tensions with Venezuela, and
we got a lot of a lot of stuff there.
When you think about all the people that are that
are working over there, it's very important to understand. We
don't necessarily want to go in and invade Venezuela, but

(57:33):
we can no longer allow the idea that poison is
going to go into the United States murdering young people.
How many young people do they that need to die
before we finally get our hand on this. And by
the way, that the tragedy of this is, at some
point Trump will not be president and these these vicious

(57:56):
cartels are going to go back to the business of
murdering your kids. Like, think about how angry you would
be because these kids are getting murdered. Why are people
not taking to the streets, Why are people not taking
it into their own hands? Why are people not going
out and demanding a full total sweep of all of

(58:19):
this sort of stuff. Shouldn't that matter in some way?
I mean, you think about all these young people who
are absolutely going to die because the exposure of these narcotics.
How many more should die? America's largest aircraft carrier, the
USS Gerald R. Ford, arrived in the Caribbean on Tuesday,

(58:41):
joining eight other warships and a nuclear submarine in the region. Naw,
that's a very efficient way to take down boats. You
use the old submarines. Run them submarines over there. I mean,
that's one way of handling it. You're gonna be able
to check them and look for them. All right, we
got another great hour straight ahead. It's going to be fantastic.

(59:04):
You don't want to miss it. Oh, News Talk eleven
ten note a nine to three WBT third hour program underway,

(59:25):
Everything is fair Game seven four five seven eleven ten,
News Talk eleven ten, not a nine three WBT. CMPD
is searching for a driver who ran from the scene
of a deadly West Charlotte crash. That story happening in
the overnight. Charlotte Mecklenburg police are looking for at least
one person who ran from the scene of a deadly

(59:47):
crash in West Charlotte earlier this month. The crash happened
around four am on November fourth, along Remount Road, not
far from Interstate seventy seven and Revolution Park Office responding
to a scene found a twenty fourteen Kia Rio that
ran off the road and crashed into a utility pole.

(01:00:08):
Two people were found on responsive in the vehicle, and
a man who was removed from the vehicle and transported
with life threatening injuries was pronounced injuries. Medic pronounced a
woman dead at the scene. See this is this is
so terrible, like the idea of having that happen and

(01:00:31):
then you don't think you're gonna get caught, but they
will catch you eventually. I mean that's that's essentially you know,
the way these sorts of things go. But it's awful.
I mean, it's it's just really a terrible in this
day and age. By the way, in this day and age,
like if you're drunk driving or high driving or whatever

(01:00:53):
it is, just get a ride. It's not impossible. It's
not hard to do that kind of stuff, right, I
mean to me, I just I look at it and
I go whoa one of the storylines that is moving.
This is out of Barrett media. News media reacts to
Epstein files emails showing Donald Trump quote knew about the girls.

(01:01:19):
On Wednesday, emails from the Jeffrey Epstein files purport that
the convicted sex criminal said President Trump quote knew about
the girls who were trafficked by Epstein. That's the allegation.
The releases from the Epstein files were shared by the
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee because they've been jonesing

(01:01:42):
to do this for a long time, showing showing three
emails referencing Trump between twenty eleven and twenty nineteen. Those
emails made public are part of a batch of twenty
three thousand documents provided by the Epstein estate to the
Oversight Committee. In the twenty nineteen email, Epstein told journalist

(01:02:08):
Michael Wolfe, God, guy's such a weirdo. Of course he
knew about the girls, as he asked Jelaane to stop. Okay,
So what does that mean? What does that mean?

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:02:20):
So did he know he knew? What does that mean?

Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
Like?

Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
How do you quantify that? A different twenty eleven email
from Epstein called President Trump the dog that hasn't barked again?
What is this like? Coded language, saying that one of
the women trafficked by Epstein spent hours at my house
with him? Who's him? Trump or Epstein, adding that the

(01:02:50):
interaction has never ever been mentioned. Okay, all right, there
you go. After the release of some of the email
related were made public, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt
called them nothing more than bad faith efforts to distract
from President Trump's historic accomplishments, adding that any American with

(01:03:15):
common sense sees right through this hoax and clear distraction
from this government opening back up again. The revelation of
the emails saw plenty of reaction on social media, some
calling it a bombshell, while others noted it wasn't a
smoking gun. I don't Tommy VA Tour. Remember Tommy via Tour.

(01:03:39):
That guy is such a weirdo. Jeffrey Epstein said in
an email that Trump knew about the girls. That's not
a smoking gun. It's a bonfire, is it? Is it?
I mean, I saw a couple of storylines involving involving
Obama lawyers and people like that, But I mean, what
do I know? I don't know anything about this I'm

(01:04:01):
just looking at the same thing that everybody's looking at. Well,
we'll wait and see what this looks like. I think
I think that this is going to be one of
those things where people are going to be saying I
believe it, and the other side they're going to say,
I don't believe it. That's I mean, that's that's sort
of the way the storyline goes. You can get both
groups of people together, they will they will say that

(01:04:24):
they absolutely have proof of this. They will and somebody
else will say they absolutely have no proof of this.
It's kind of interesting to see, though, because you've got
a situation where the media is not looking really good.
That media is not looking good And why I say
the media is not looking good is because, let's let's

(01:04:44):
be honest here, the media tries to stitch things together.
You just saw what happened with the BBC. Trump's gonna
sue for for a billion dollars. He's gonna try to
shut down the BBC because they they did create of editing.
So I mean, when you when you look at this,

(01:05:05):
who knows what that ends up looking like. By the way,
on the economic front, the Dow has closed above forty
eight thousand for the first time. With an end to
government shutdown in sight, the Dow Jones Industrial Average soared
more than three hundred points, or nearly point seven percent,

(01:05:27):
Wednesday as investors looked ahead to the end of the
record breaking government shutdown. The blue Chip Index finished at
a record high of forty eight two hundred and fifty four,
its second straight record close. The S and P five

(01:05:47):
hundred was roughly flat, while the Nasdaq dipped about zero
point three percent as fears of an AI bubble lingered.
What does that? What does that feel like? What? What
does an AI bubble feel like? Is that like when

(01:06:07):
you you ever, you ever grabbed a warm soda and
chugged it too fast and then suddenly you get that
it comes coming back up. I think that's what that's
probably doing. I think that's what that is. It's that whoa,
I drank that too fast. Oh no, I'm now uncomfortable.
The blue Chip Index finished at a high of forty
eight fifty four point eighty two. Just to want to

(01:06:31):
be accurate there, so you got the number. On Monday night,
the Senate passed a spending bill that has since been
moved to the House, which is expected to vote on
the legislation Wednesday night. Along with restoring snap benefits, thank god,
an end of the shut down will also resume economic

(01:06:52):
data on the labor market and inflation. Reports that the
Fed officials are leaning to make get interest rate decisions.
We'll have to wait and see what that looks like.

(01:07:13):
News Talk eleven ten that a nine to three WBT.
What have I told you? A lottery players have the
chance to win big as two major jackpots are continuing
to grow. They're growing. The Mega Millions currently sits at
nine hundred and sixty five million, with the next drawing
set for November fourteenth. That would be two days hence

(01:07:36):
the power balls up to five twelve, with the next
drawing set to occur November twelve today. Well, no, it's
you've still got time, so yeah, but you know what,
the Mega millions is nine hundred and sixty five million.
I don't even get out of bed for for an

(01:07:57):
even for an even billion. No that I this is
See this is interesting all right. The drawings, by the way,
not trying to tell you what to do, but the
drawings take place at eleven pm. See here's the problem.
This is what I don't like about the eleven PM drawing. Okay,

(01:08:18):
I don't want to be angry the first moment that
I wake up in the morning, Like, I don't want
to be like did I win? No, I didn't win.
I'm in a bad mood. See that that that's that's
you know that that's a problem. But then again, all right,
let me ask this question of this audience. You a
very smart audience. So one person wins a billion dollars, right,

(01:08:39):
it's a billion dollars, but you know you're gonna have
to pay all the taxes and do all the stuff
that you gotta do. Right, So should they have a
threshold that says, okay, if it gets to be a billion,
we're gonna cap it at two five hundred million wins.
In other words, it's like you get a secondary chance.

(01:09:02):
You got it. Now, you might be able to do
it with two or with three or whatever the number is,
Like would that be better? See, because I've never quite
seen I don't know what the highest win ever was
one point six billion or something like that. Yeah, it
was out out there that got Yes, that's right, Yes

(01:09:24):
he was. He was buying a lot of stuff. But
like a comet doesn't ever go to two. Why doesn't
it ever go to two and a half three? Do
I hear four four four billion docks? See, at that
stage of the game, you have to you have to
be in a fortress, Like if you have that kind
of money, you got to be in a fortress, a
fortress of solitude. Somebody should have used that sometime, did they.

(01:09:47):
Has that already been taken? The fortress of solid I
think it was. I think somebody did that already. But
I mean, I think that's like, that's this. This is
always interesting to me because there's these people. I've talk
to people in the past who say, I don't get
out of bed for anything, anything less than or more than,

(01:10:07):
you know, whatever. Celebrate the season. Starbucks holiday menu returns
November sixth. Wait, so it's already happened. Why are they
putting this in the news? This this, this has already occurred.
How could this? How can this be? I said earlier
today on the program. I said earlier in the program.
The White House is saying that the October jobs and

(01:10:31):
inflation data may never be released. Release them, release the documents.
I want to see the growth. Joe, Welcome to the show.
What's on your mind?

Speaker 10 (01:10:44):
Joe, how are you doing, Brett?

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
Oh, it's my friend, Joe. What's going on?

Speaker 10 (01:10:49):
Just stand shady listening to you talk about waking up
in the morning. And I know what you mean, because
yet it's the first thing you check. Am I am?
I jumping in the shower and going to work or not,
dang it, I'm having to go. But you know, for
a couple bucks, being able to fantasize all night fall
asleep and dream about oh, certain emails you might get

(01:11:14):
to send, certain things, you might get to say, it's
worth it. It's worth a couple bucks to dream.

Speaker 1 (01:11:21):
Now, hold on a minute, like, do you have like
a list of people that you would like to say
or not say? Or ghosts?

Speaker 10 (01:11:29):
I cannot confirm or deny. Now I will say that
I have some gentlemen's agreements with a few folks that,
you know, if if any of us ever hits it big,
we're taking the others with us.

Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
Wow, that's not really that's that's a that's a that's
a bold that's a bold deal, right there. I like that.

Speaker 10 (01:11:49):
Well, that's where you really find out how strong a
friendship is.

Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
Listen, sometimes sometimes this ends up as like you know,
a criminals special or something, you know, like whatever happened
to Rocky. Oh, he just he felt he fell off
a roof painting a house.

Speaker 3 (01:12:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:12:06):
I mean, he's just he's just not with us anywhere,
That's right.

Speaker 4 (01:12:09):
You know.

Speaker 10 (01:12:10):
You know you're talking about having a cap in there
where it would split two five hundreds. You know, I
think you're onto something and they're missing out because you
could you could even expand it from that to say, hey,
when it reaches a certain point, you know, we're going
to draw or say two hundred five million dollar winners

(01:12:30):
and they just keep drawing, just keep drawing.

Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
Holy man.

Speaker 10 (01:12:34):
Now, I don't know about you, but I'd be okay
with a you know, a one million, a two min
hell one hundred thousand throw out my way. I I've
always thought that'd be great if they could switch when
it gets to a point and have multiple winners across
the board.

Speaker 1 (01:12:51):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (01:12:52):
Wow, talk about good for the economy.

Speaker 1 (01:12:54):
Yeah for sure. Now, now, by the way, you also
could do something else with that. And you know what
you could do, Apparently Disney is losing four million dollars
per day on YouTube TV dispute. You could you could
actually go and just buy them out.

Speaker 10 (01:13:10):
Well, I wouldn't, you know, if I owned Disney, i'd
make some changes.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Really, Yeah, yeah, I don't. I don't like watching the
kid programs, you know. I just that's one of those
things I think if I hit. First of all, if
I hit, no one's gonna know I hit.

Speaker 10 (01:13:29):
You'll still be on the air tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (01:13:31):
Oh a hundred are you one hundred percent? Look? I yes,
And I know people don't believe that. People say, oh,
of course, no, I am on the air. I ain't
telling you what I did last night, but I'm on
the air. Nobody's gonna know that I won. But I'm
on the air, no doubt about it.

Speaker 10 (01:13:50):
Now, are you taking care of Lannie and Isaac?

Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
Well, Isaac, Isaac's Isaac's gone, Isaacs has has gone to
greener pastures. No, he's really he was. He's in another project.
But I got Nick, I got Nick, and I got Travers,
I got we got we got, I gotta, I got
a whole I got a whole band of of of
of brothers here. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 10 (01:14:09):
They got to you got you gotta take care of
the crew.

Speaker 1 (01:14:13):
Sh I need that money. Ask me why I need
that money? I have a reason.

Speaker 10 (01:14:19):
Go ahead ask me, what's what's your reason for needing that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
I gotta buy Greenland?

Speaker 10 (01:14:25):
Oh well, what if what if three I Atlas decides
to land in Greenland?

Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
You know what I'm gonna I'm gonna stick that thing
in the in the mud, and I'm gonna let everybody
take a look for five bucks ago.

Speaker 10 (01:14:39):
Five bucks a peek. Love it, love it, love it.

Speaker 1 (01:14:44):
Hey, you're the best. Joe I appreciated. Joe is shady
and I like him. All Right, we get messages, we
get your messages. All right, these these are going a

(01:15:06):
little bit. We're going a little bit back in time.
Let's see what did I get here? Okay, Chris, Chris
and Shelby my man Trump could hold a pressor to
say don't eat poop in the next day, AOC and
the rest of the Democrats would be dipping dog. You
know what, I don't I don't know about that. Maybe
I guess uh. Here we go chugging a warm fresca AI,

(01:15:30):
boom boom, that's a that's that's a good take from Josh.
Josh has that one? We also have, Well, this one
this one has nothing. I don't I don't I think
they tried to send me a message, but I don't
think there is a message that's available there. Uh, Ken,
all right, this is Ken. I'm not going to give
up your last name. Ken. I might let my work,

(01:15:53):
I might let my wife work part time. No, everybody
gets to be a part of the fun. That's what
you gotta do. Stan says, if you, oh, if you
over a billion dollars lottery prize, you are entered. You
are entered the evil Club and are no longer and

(01:16:17):
are automatically an oligarch. No one has yet come up
with the exact amount or percentage you'd have to give
a way to get back in the good graces of
the Bernie Bros. Oh, yes, there, you could easily do
that for the Bernie bros. Just give them all the money.
They just they'll take every single penny. That that that's easy.

(01:16:41):
That's that's a super easy thing right there. I mean,
when you when you think about that, because the idea
that they're that they're offering you up there is okay, heads,
I win, tails, you lose. That is that's that's the
way the system has worked. The system is working in
the appropriate manner as long as you are you know,

(01:17:02):
putting in the putting in the in the do you
gotta put in the work. That's it's it's really it's
not it's not that hard. But unfortunately, you know, you
got you got a lot of other things, uh that
are that are happening. Now here's the here's the crisis
you have. If you live in New York, Okay, and
you bought that ticket in New York, you gotta like
smuggle it out to another place with a better location.

(01:17:26):
If you go Massachusetts, if you go to any of
those high tax places, you got to like say, okay,
I'm gonna go and uh, I gotta find greener pastures.
And you know what you do, You go, hello, hello,
anybody in there? Oh yeah, hey, guess who. It's the
governor of Florida. He's gonna be like, come on in,

(01:17:47):
come on in. We got your set to go, no
doubt about that. This is an interesting story on a
very shocking sort of a moment, the world's deepest you
Ukrainian strike yet a one ton monster warhead dropped on
a major Russian thermal plant. This is a big deal

(01:18:12):
in a major development in the war. Nobody's really been
talking about Ukraine By the way, you notice that Ukraine
hasn't been talked about since the government shutdown has gone
into effect. Nobody's talking about Ukraine. In a major development
in the war, Ukraine conducted a long range missile strike
on a power plant deep inside Russia. The target was

(01:18:36):
reportedly the or y'all. I know it sounds like Southern
but it's Ryol or y'all thermal power plant, described as
one of Russia's most significant energy facilities. Videos and reports
from local residents indicated large explosions that caused substanti damage

(01:19:01):
and led to emergency repair efforts. Electricity and heating were
disrupted in parts of the region. The attack signals the
Ukraine's growing capability to strike well beyond the front lines.
They're they're, they're they're hammering them all the way in Russia.
Now that's a big deal. And if you're gonna you know,

(01:19:22):
you're gonna go start tit for tat with the with
the Russians, I mean that that's got to be a
very dangerous, uh piece of of of tech technology. According
to Russian regional officials, Fires broke out following the explosions,
and parts of the plant operations were disrupted. The strike

(01:19:44):
drew attention because or y'all, I feel like I'm saying
it like it's I'm in the South. I know, I mean,
I know we're in the South, but I feel like
I'm not making this up like to make it like funny.
It really is the oor y'all. So are you guys hungry?
Or y'all want to wait? Is that what they're trying

(01:20:06):
to say to us? I don't understand. What does that
sound like? Can you imagine like Zelensky, Zelensky could do this,
Zelensky could go, let me tell you what we're going
to do. We're going to We're going to bomb or y'all.
That like that's what he would be saying. Or y'all,
how many of you? Or y'all? I don't know what

(01:20:26):
that is. When you when you get wake up, when
you wake up in the morning and you get some
cramps or something, do you put on some ore y'all? No,
I mean, I'm sorry, but it's a weird. That's a
way like I've never seen that word in my life.
It's pretty shocking. Or y'all is located thirteen hundred kilometers

(01:20:49):
from Ukrainian controlled territory and over three hundred and sixty
kilometers from Moscow, raising new concerns. Hey, Moscows, be careful.
I just want Zelenski to be careful because if you
start bringing in like heavy duty bombing near Moscow like that,

(01:21:12):
the guy's gonna throw he's gonna throw the he's gonna
throw the brick through the proverbial window, and that that
could be a very dangerous thing. I mean, at some point,
you do want you do have to understand that that
the Russians are they're they're gonna have to, you know,
give it back to you, and you don't want that
to happen. I mean that that's a terrible thing. I

(01:21:33):
just wish we could get to a place where it's peace.
But unfortunately, when these two guys are fighting, you can't
stop them. You can't stop them. But it is interesting
to see how quickly this weapon has been deployed and
how effective it was. Makes you wonder if somebody else
was giving them the weaponry. I wonder who gave him
the weaponry? Where did you get that? Who? Or y'all

(01:22:13):
News Talk eleven, ten ninety nine to three WBT. It's
the Brett Winterbull Show. It is good to be with you.
Final segment of the program. If you'd like to opine,
give us a shout out of thought, whatever you have,
seven oh four or five, seven, zero eleven, ten, All right,
I want to think back to what we were doing

(01:22:35):
about a month ago, a month month, a little bit
over a month. We were in the midst of a
number of different storylines, but the most important thing was
funding the government. Right. Funding the government was what was
attempted to be done and what ended up happening. You
had Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer decide that they were

(01:22:58):
going to take the the business of the government hostage.
So we had a hostage situation for forty days. And
let's be clear about this, this is a very important
thing to take with you. Okay, they got nothing for it,

(01:23:21):
and in fact, they wanted to do three a three
year deal for the insurance, for the medical insurance and
all that sort of stuff. And then they came back today,
Hakeem Jeffries, and he says he wants a fourth year.

(01:23:42):
They don't learn that. They do not learn. These people
are sitting there acting like nothing happened over the last
forty days. And that's crazy. Seriously, we understand, and what
was going on. Their whole thing about this was we

(01:24:04):
have to get the Epstein stuff out, we have to
get the mandami elected, we have to get the win
with the person who won in Virginia or Mikey Sheryl
or Gavin Newsome or any of that sort of stuff.

(01:24:25):
I actually feel badly on behalf of the American people
for what the Democratic Party is doing. There was no
reason to scare people by denying them snap food. There
was no reason for that to happen. You did not
have to do that. I have such a disgust about

(01:24:50):
the idea that the Democratic Party would take people who
are flying in aircraft and just not care ab about
them having to rebook their flights. Think about these people
are are ruthless, They are ruthless, or scaring Americans who

(01:25:15):
felt like they were not going to be able to
get health insurance, or scaring people who just wanted to
be paid on time because their loved ones are in
the military. How disgusting was this? On a one to ten,

(01:25:37):
How disgusting was it? I know, I know there's a
there's a with with certitude. I know there's a constituency
that wants to get all hot and sweaty and and
and be talking nothing but the the Epstein files. And
that's that's I get it. Democrats are like that. They're

(01:25:58):
they're very much into the sexual kind of arts and
things like that. That's why they get, you know, berserk
when people are trying to pray and doing things like that.
But the fact of the matter is, we have a
government that needs to run. I know you hate Donald Trump.
I know you hate the people that you voted for

(01:26:18):
that that voted for Donald Trump. I understand that. But
the fact of the matter is there's a responsible party,
the President of the United States, a Vice president of
the United States, a cabinet secretary and all that sort
of stuff that's going to have to put this thing
back together. And watch Hakeem Jeffries. I'm going to make
a prediction. I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say with a

(01:26:41):
prediction here, Chuck Schumer is out of the picture in May.
Hakeem Jeffries will be out of the picture in April
because they gambled too much. And what they have got
to be white knut about right now is how dangerous

(01:27:04):
this game is. What if we get hit by a
terrorist attack, what if something happens, what if God forbid
a plane goes down, or any of that sort of stuff.
They are playing a dangerous game and they don't even
have an off ramp. This it reminds me of It

(01:27:26):
reminds me of Dog Day Afternoon. You remember the movie
Dog Day Afternoon. Do you remember when when they went
out with handfuls of money and they were yelling and
they were screaming, and they were throwing the money because
they were trying to get everybody's attention, because they had

(01:27:49):
no plan to get out of that system. And that
one guy wanted to be the Fredo wanted a sex change,
if you remember that fred Wan of the sex change,
and and al Pacino wanted to help him. But they
had no escape, They had no way to get out,

(01:28:09):
They had none of that at all. They just wanted
to create a spectacle. You can go back and watch
that movie. At some point. This is what they're doing.
They're trying to make noise. If you've ever raised a
toddler and they've had too much candy or they've become cranky,
and you put them on your shoulder, you're lovingly holding

(01:28:31):
them on the shoulder and as you walk down the
hall to put them to bed because they're having a
nutty they're they're losing it. And and as you start
to walk to the room to put them to bed,
they're reaching out, trying to knock all the picture frames
off the hallway, and they're trying to grab and yell

(01:28:52):
and scream and all of that. This is what we
have happening with this particular party. The dirty little secret
is I didn't even play this too. I didn't even
have to, Shelley Whitehouse said earlier today. It wasn't just
eight people that defected against the Democrats. They were up

(01:29:12):
to fifteen who were going to fill the breach if
somebody lost their nerve. Those are people who realized that
governance should never be directed by hostage taking, but by policy.
Thanks so much for being with us here today. Coming
up next, we've got breaking with Brett Jensen thanks to

(01:29:35):
Nick Travers and of course Anna and Pam. I'm Brett
water Bowl. I've approved this message. We'll talk to you tomorrow.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
