Tune in here to this Wednesday edition of the Brett Winterble Show!

Brett kicks off the program by talking about his visit to the Jesse Helms Center and his exclusive interview with Senator Ted Budd. He shares insights from their discussion on the pressing issues facing Washington, D.C., including government spending, border security, and the challenges of maintaining strong leadership in turbulent times. Brett reflects on the importance of the event and commends the work being done at the Helms Center to promote conservative principles and leadership. He also turns his attention to the unrest at UC Berkeley, where protests erupted during a Turning Point USA event.

Brett criticizes Governor Gavin Newsom’s response, arguing that the violence was far more serious than officials admitted and calling for stronger accountability. His analysis sets a serious tone for the show, highlighting concerns about political double standards and the growing divide in how justice and free speech are treated across the country.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
News Talk eleven ten ninety nine to three WBT. It's
the Brett Waterbows Show. It is great to be with
you as we gather together at this time. And our
telephone number as always seven oh four five seven zero
eleven ten. You can also hit us up the WBT
text line driven by Liberty Buick. GMC had a wonderful
outing this afternoon, spending time with the great folks, the

(00:41):
great folks over at the Jesse Helm Center and we
were we were delighted to be able to spend time
with Ted Budd. Senator Ted Budd came in and I
had the honor, the high honor and distinct pleasure to
to do an interview with him talk about all of
the stuff that's going on in Washington, DC. Absolutely phenomenal, great,

(01:06):
great analysis. It was really really wonderful. We'll talk about
that a little bit later on in the program, but
I just cannot be happy enough to be honored to
be at that program. So thank you very much. And
I gotta tell you, Jeff Atkinson does a tremendous job
with putting that stuff together. And again, Senator Ted Budd,

(01:27):
an absolute wonderful conversation and we got a lot of
clarity about all the challenges that we are facing in
this country. But what do you know? What do you know?
Suddenly out of the box, Gavin Newsom. Gavin Newsom, he
is the worst politician maybe in American history, and it's

(01:51):
because he is so in love with himself he cannot
love the country. Gavin Newsom has broken his silence after
earning point event at UC Berkeley turned chaotic. Now that's
that's the headline over at the Fox News channel. And
to me, I feel like I feel like what we're

(02:11):
what we're actually seeing in that regard, Okay, when we
when we have this headline, Newsom breaks silence on violent
Berkeley protest of TPUSA at a California university. No, these
people were attempting to harm maybe kill supporters. That is

(02:32):
not acceptable. And I'm telling you, I am. My promise
to you from now until the end of the twenty
twenty eight news cycle is that I will every day
call out Gavin Newsom because he is unworthy to be
anything but the huckster that he is in California, full stop.

(02:54):
I lived under him. I lived under him for at
least fifteen years before or before I got out of there.
Newsom has broken his silence. Several arrests were made at
Berkeley on Monday night and two days after agitators those
are not agitated. Those were terrorists. Those were street terrorists.

(03:15):
Two days after what they call agitators violently disrupted a
TPUSA event in Berkeley, California, the state's governor, Gavin Newsom,
broke his silence and spoke out on the matter through
a spokes person. So he went not by himself, He
went with the spokes holes. That's what the technical term is.

(03:39):
They are the spokes holes. Violence is not a legitimate
exercise of First Amendment rights. A spokes hole said for
Newsom's office told Fox News Digital on Wednesday afternoon, while
people have the right to protest, it must be done peacefully.

(03:59):
Does that include dude, a dude called jihad bashing people
over the head with weaponry? Is that what that is?
Is that what you call peaceful protest? Newsom's office pointed
out that the majority of demonstrators peacefully protested, with six
arrests out of a total of more than nine hundred,
that is laughable. That is a holler right there, That

(04:22):
is a screamer right there. You gotta be kidding me.
There were only six people that were involved in this
out of more than nine hundred, and the agitators were
controlled by state and local law enforcement. The incident unfolded
Monday night on the campus of UC Berkeley at a

(04:43):
Turning Point event featuring actor Rob Schneider and of course,
author Frank Turek, a Christian mentor of the organization's late founder,
Charlie Kirk. Left wing agitators formed Zellerback Hall where the event,

(05:04):
which was the last stop on this is the Turning
Point tour, was held for students at the university were arrested.
Will they be expelled? Will they be jettisoned? Will they
be put out? To see? What are we going to
do with these four? The Daily Californian, which omitted the

(05:28):
suspect's names for its report, They were described as females
between the ages of twenty and twenty two. Each was
reportedly charged with felony vandalism. So I'm hoping they're going
to be bounced into the jail. In fact, Pambondy pambond
I am calling on Pambondi to find these people and

(05:49):
to prosecute them at the federal level. If this is
how it's going to be. Then what we have to
do is prosecute these people in the federal court. Remember
what they did on January sixth. Everybody got rounded up,
round up the usual suspects. If they're wearing a Maga hat,

(06:10):
they're going to prison, right, that's what they were talking about.
The UC Berkeley Police Department confirmed that other men were
arrested during the night's activities. Wait, wait, hold on, do
we know they were men? Are you misg are you misgendering?
I'm thinking maybe you're maybe misgendering a little bit here?
How do we know? I mean, look, the name, of

(06:30):
course was Christopher Joseph Benton. You know what they say
about three names always the dangerous ones. Forty eight, who
was unaffiliated with the school, was arrested for trespassing, resisting
or obstructing an officer, and being unlawfully present on campus,
all misdemeanors. That's why we need to jack them up.

(06:52):
Jay Eduardoo, my Torona, My Torino. They still make to
renos grand Torinos. I don't remember that. He's twenty two
listed as a current or former student. Oh, he identifies
as both. Was arrested for trespassing and resisting or obstructing

(07:15):
an officer. Several of the skirmishes at the event went viral. Well,
you're going to catch a lot of viruses if you're
over there in Berkeley, including a man who caught a
video beating I mean, this is something, isn't it Okay? So, pambody,
I want you to round these people up. I want
you to put them in jail, and I want you

(07:37):
to deny them bail because we cannot run the risk
that they may try to flee and defect to New York.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
